THEN THE TRACTION CONTROL TURNS OFF AND VEHICLE IDOLS ROUGH. IF I STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR THERE IS NO REPOSE FROM THE VEHICLE. WE DO NOT TREAT THE VEHICLE HASH OR DRIVE WILD. I DONT HAVE THE MONEY FOR A LOT OF REPAIRS. I CHANGE THE OIL WHEN IT'S TIME AND MAKE SURE ITS RUNNING SMOOTHLY. I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE AND HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE AND GM HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY FOR SOMEONE DRIVING AT A HIGH SPEED. DEATH IS A MAJOR POSSIBILITY IF THIS WERE TO HAPPEN IN FRONT OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE TODAY.

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JANUARY 2017 WITH ONE OWNER HAVING HAD IT. HERE IT IS NOW 2 YEARS LATER AND I HAVE NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE. SOME OTHER OWNERS HAVE HAD BUT IT STILL ISN'T PART OF A RECALL. THE PAST YEAR I HAVE ALREADY SPENT OVER $1000 TO FIX IT. ITEMS ALREADY REPLACED INCLUDE SEVERAL SENSORS, WHEEL BEARING, POWER STEERIG PUMP AND A BATTERY. WHAT STILL NEEDS REPLACING: RACK AND PINYON, SHOCKS AND STRUTS, AND I HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. CURRENTLY, MY WINDOWS GO DOWN BUT WON'T GO UP BECAUSE THERE IS AN INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND MY RADIO CUTS IN AND OUT. I AM STILL PAYING FOR THE CAR AND NO ONE IS HELPING. OTHER USERS HAVE REPORTED SOME OF THE SAME THING. IF I GO TO MY MECHANIC HE TELLS ME THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS. STABILITY TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM PROBLEMS. I HAVE A 2011 CHEVY TRAVERSE. PROBLEMS ERUPTED AFTER I FINISHED PAYING IT OFF. I HAD THIS CAR FOR 7 YEARS NOW AND 100K MILES NOW. FOR THE PAST YEAR THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM HAS FAILED MULTIPLE TIMES. AT FIRST I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND SPENT OVER $3500 TO FIX IT. A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE PROBLEM CAME BACK. THE DEALER WAS ASKING FOR ALMOST $4000 STATING THAT IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE NOT FIXED BEFORE. EVEN A MECHANIC FROM THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE LOTS OF PEOPLE WERE COMPLAINING WITH SAME ISSUES. AT FIRST THE "TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM OFF" COMES ON THE SCREEN EVERY TIME I DRIVE FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. FOLLOWED BY "SERVICE STABILITY TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM". NOW AS SOON AS I TURN THE CAR ON THE SAME MESSAGES APPEAR. JUST A WEEK AGO I WAS IN THE HIGHWAY AND "POWER LOSS WARNING" CAME OUT IN THE SCREEN. I COULDN'T ACCELERATE, THANK GOD I WAS NEAR AN EXIT AND WAS ABLE TO GET OUT IN TIME BEFORE IT STOPPED COMPLETELY. TURNED OFF THE CAR AND WAITED A FEW MNTS. TURNED ON AGAIN AND DROVE OFF ON THE SERVICE ROAD. I WAS NOT ABLE TO GO FASTER THAN 10 MPH. NOW THE CAR IS IN MY DRIVEWAY AND I'M GETTING READY TO GET RID OF IT ASAP! BUT JUST NOTICED THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH SUCH A PROBLEM. WE NEED A RECALL FAST. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR 47K THINKING THAT IT WAS GOING TO LAST JUST LIKE THE OLD CHEVYS. BUT THIS NEW TECH IS KILLING IT! WE NEED A RECALL ON THIS FAST!

TRACTION CONTROL WENT HAYWIRE WHILE GOING ABOUT 25 MILES AN HOUR, IT STARTED SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY, "TRACTION CONTROL" LIGHT CAME ON AND WENT OFF ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. RPMS REVVED UP TO 5K. IT HAS DONE IT 4 TIME WITHIN A 24 HOUR PERIOD. MECHANIC HOOKED IT UP TO THE COMPUTER AND IT DETECTED NOTHING. ONLY THING THAT SHOWED UP WAS THAT IT LOST CONNECTION TO THE TRANSMISSION. WHEN THE ENGINE REVVED IT, IT SEEMED LIKE IT WENT OUT OF GEAR WHILE THE RPMS WENT HIGH, IT FELT AS IF I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL WHILE GOING AROUND 25 MPH.

THIS CURRENT PROBLEM HAPPENS FREQUENTLY AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WHILE IN MOTION ONLY.

THAT YOU CAN EVEN BEGIN TO IMAGINE ON THIS VEHICLE. IT IS BY FAR THE WORST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. I WILL NEVER AGAIN BY A CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. JUST HAD MY CAR SERVICES TWO DAYS AGO AND NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME BACK ON. I AM NOT EVEN SHOCKED AT THIS POINT. THE VEHICLE WENT FROM 60 MPH IMMEDIATELY DOWN TO 20 MPH. REMIND YOU THAT WE WERE ON THE INTERSTATE, IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. THIS IMMEDIATELY TURNED INTO A VERY SERIOUS SITUATION. WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE THAT WE WERE NOT REAR ENDED, AND CAUSE HUGE PILE UP. WE MANAGED TO MAKE IT OVER TO THE SHOULDER, WE ARE STILL NOT OUT OF DANGER AS SEMI TRUCKS, CARS, ARE DRIVING BY US AT VERY HIGH SPEEDS IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS. OUR CAR WAS BEING BLOWN SIDE TO SIDE FROM THE WIND FORCE FROM THESE VEHICLES. MY 2 YEAR OLD SON WAS IN THE BACK SEAT AND WE ARE VERY LUCKY WE WERE NOT INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. WE TOOK OUR VEHICLE IN TO GET IT LOOKED AT, THE MECHANIC COULD NOT DETERMINE THE ISSUE AS THE PROBLEM IS ONLY SPORADIC. NOW A MONTH LATER THE VEHICLE GIVES US THESE WARNINGS AND HAS THESE SAME ISSUES DAILY. WE CAN NOT FIND A RESOLUTION. PLEASE RECALL THIS VEHICLE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED AND SO WE DRIVE IN COMFORT THAT WE WILL MAKE IT TO OUR DESTINATION AND SAFELY.

I HAVE HAD WARNING LIGHTS ON THE ABS AND STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEMS COME ON, ALONG WITH ERROR MESSAGES INDICATING STABILITY CONTROL AND AWD ARE DEACTIVATED FOR ABOUT A WEEK THAT DO NOT RESET UPON RESTARTING THE CAR. TODAY, I EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS LOSSES OF ENGINE POWER, AS THOUGH THE CAR HAD DROPPED INTO NEUTRAL, WHILE DRIVING SURFACE STREETS AT APPROXIMATELY 30-35MPH. DESPITE PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR, THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY DROPPED DOWN TO 10-15MPH FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. RESEARCH ONLINE IN THE CHEVROLET FORUMS INDICATES A THROTTLE BODY ISSUE, BUT SHOWS NO CORPORATE INVESTIGATION OR RECALL INTO THIS, THOUGH MANY PEOPLE REPORT SIMILAR LOSSES OF POWER ON HIGHWAYS AT 60+MPH, SUDDENLY DROPPING TO 10MPH. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY IN TRAFFIC IF SUCH A LOSS OF POWER OCCURS AGAIN.

THE CITY STREET WAS ON A CURVY ROAD AND THE HIGHWAY WAS A STRAIGHTAWAY. THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHILE IN MOTION. IN ORDER FOR IT TO STOP WE WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF FOR 10-15 SECONDS AND RESTART IN WHICH SOMETIMES IT WOULD STOP FOR A WHILE AND OTHERS IT WOULD ONLY STOP FOR A MILE OR LESS. I GO PICK IT UP ONCE AGAIN AND ON MY WAY HOME RAN OUT OF GAS, WHILE THE GAS LEVEL IS READING RIGHT AT HALF A TANK. I KNOW THERE WAS GAS IN THE TANK WHEN I RAN OUT AND WHEN THE TRUCK WAS TOWED. THE DEALERSHIP KEPT MY VEHICLE FOR A WHOLE WEEK AND ALL THEY DID WAS GOT THE TRUCK ON LEVEL GROUND, OBVIOUSLY, AND THE TRUCK RAN ALL THE GAS OUT WHILE PARKED AND THEY WERE 'TRYING TO FIND THE PROBLEM'. I WAS TRAVELING TO WORK THIS MORNING (2/18/15) ON A MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY AND SUDDENLY POWER WAS REDUCED DRAMATICALLY ON MY 2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. ALSO, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY BUT MY MAXIMUM SPEED WAS ONLY 15 MPH. I STOPPED ON THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND THEN PUT BACK IN DRIVE. I WENT BACK IN TO TRAFFIC BUT MY MAXIMUM SPEED WAS ONLY 40 MPH. AFTER ARRIVING AT MY OFFICE, I NOTICED THE ENGINE APPEARED TO NOT BEING RUNNING PROPERLY, AS IF IT WASN'T GETTING THE RIGHT FUEL/OXYGEN MIXTURE. I CALLED THE GM DEALERSHIP TO INFORM THEM OF THE PROBLEMS AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THEM FOR TESTING. THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS NEEDING TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY AND THE PART WOULD NOT BE IN UNTIL TOMORROW. I WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH ON A HIGHWAY WHEN THE TCS TURNED OFF BY ITSELF A MESSAGE INDICATOR CAME ON STATING REDUCED POWER TCS OFF SERVICE STABILITRAK. I TOOK IT TO A JACK WILLIAMS SINCE THEY WERE THE ONLY ONES OPEN ON AT THE TIME. THEY INSPECTED THE CAR AND DETERMINED I HAD A BAD BATTERY AND REPLACED IT. THE TCS STARTED WORKING AGAIN AND WORKED UNTIL 2/16/15 WHEN AGAIN TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY AT 65MPH THE TCS TURNED OFF BY ITSELF. I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY SHUT OFF THE CAR. A FEW MINUTES LATER I RESTARTED AND DROVE HOME ON A BACK ROAD. 5 MILES FROM MY HOUSE THE TCS AGAIN TURNED OFF AGAIN. A MINUTE LATER THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP AT MOTORWORLD. THEY DETERMINED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS BLOCKED. MY CHOICES WERE TO FLUSH THE SYSTEM WHICH THEY WOULD NOT GUARANTEE THE WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM AS THEY DO NOT TAKE THE THROTTLE BODY ITSELF APART TO SEE IF IT IS SERVICEABLE OR TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY AND FLUSH THE SYSTEM. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT FLUSHING THE SYSTEM IS PART OF THE PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AND SHOULD BE DONE EVERY 40,000 MILES. UPON LOOKING IN MY OWNERS MANUAL I FOUND NO REQUIREMENT THAT THIS IS A PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ITEM. IF IT WAS THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE LISTED IT IN THE MANUAL. I RESEARCHED FORUMS AND FOUND THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS ISSUE. THIS WAS A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE AS YOU LOSE POWER AND DROP SPEED QUICKLY WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. ACCORDING TO A BLOG, IN APPROXIMATELY 2009 GMC STOPPED COVERING THE THROTTLE BODY UNDER THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH VEHICLES MANUFACTURED AFTER 2009 CONTINUE TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUES. I PICKED UP MY CAR AND IT DROVE FINE FOR 5 DAYS THEN IT DID THE SAME THING AGAIN, LUCKILY I WAS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. DROVE IT HOME AND PARKED IT. THE NEXT MORNING IT DROVE JUST FINE, NO ISSUES, AND TODAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY CHEVY DEALER WHO COMPLETES ALL SERVICE ON MY VEHICLE, AND I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY IN THE COLD TEMPERATURES AS OIL TENDS TO ACCUMULATE IN THE THROTTLE BODY AND FREEZE UP, MAKING THE SENSOR GO HAYWIRE, LEAVING THE THROTTLE UNABLE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE CHANGES, AND THE WARNINGS TO OCCUR. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY AND THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IT WASN'T A BIG DEAL AND IT SHOULD BE FINE WHEN IT WARMS UP. WHEN GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED FURTHER, RPM/SPEED WOULD INCREASE BUT THEN DROP SHARPLY (500-1000RPM) MULTIPLE TIMES AND NO FURTHER POWER COULD BE APPLIED. VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN TO ABOUT 50MPH AT THE TOP OF A HILL. HAPPENED FOR THE NEXT 15-20 MILES UNTIL IT COULD BE PULLED OVER. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN ONCE RIGHT AFTER ORIGINAL OCCURRENCE, ALL THREE LIGHTS HAD GONE OFF AT POINT AND VEHICLE DROVE NORMALLY AFTER THAT. SERVICE CENTER INDICATED A WHEEL CENSOR (FRONT RIGHT) WAS READING DEFECTIVE INFORMATION. THEY CLEANED 'DUST' FROM THE SENSOR. HAPPENED AGAIN ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER, SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES/RESULTS. SERVICE CENTER INDICATED WHEEL SENSOR WAS BAD, THEY REPLACED (AT MY COST) AND HAD NO FURTHER INSTANCES FOR ABOUT FOUR MONTHS. SIMILAR SITUATION HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY (7/19/2014, CONDITIONS AND RESULTS). JUNE 2014. WAS DRIVING ON CITY EXPRESSWAY WHEN SUDDENLY "SERVICE STABILITRACK/TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM OFF" CAME ON. OUR SUV SUDDENLY STARTED LOSING POWER. TOOK TRUCK TO CHEVROLET DEALER SERVICE DEPT. SERVICE PERFORMED. TECH SAID HE FOUND NOTHING WRONG. DID NOTE THAT I HAD OTHER RECALLS PENDING ON VEHICLE. JULY 2014. WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 40 AT 11 P.M. AND WAS 80 MILES FROM HOME. I WAS DRIVING ALONE. SUDDENLY "SERVICE STABILITRACK/TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM OFF" CAME ON. SUV STARTED LOSING POWER. WAS UNABLE TO GET ABOVE 65. AT SOME POINTS RPM WAS HIGH THEN LOSS OF POWER. SUV FELT AS IF IT WAS TRYING TO CUT OFF. HAVE READ IN A FORUM ([XXX]) THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF TRAVERSES. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH RATES OF SPEEDS, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE DASHBOARD DISPLAY LIGHTS UP WITH ALL KINDS OF MESSAGES. IT SAYS TO CHECK TRACTION CONTROL AND REDUCING ENGINE POWER. THE ENGINE REDUCES POWER AND WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS IT DOESN'T GO ANYWHERE. THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES. AT FIRST I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS ICE BUILDUP BUT AFTER IT HAPPENED A FEW MORE TIMES I LOOKED ONLINE WHERE I CAME ACROSS A FORUM AND FOUND OUT THERE WERE HUNDREDS OF OTHER CHEVY TRAVERSE OWNERS WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS. IT HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING AND I ALMOST GOT SMASHED FROM BEHIND BY PEOPLE GOING OVER 70MPH. THE CAR WOULD BARELY MOVE. THE TRAVERSE WAS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER THEY STATED IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY. IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I BELIEVE IT SHOULD'VE BEEN SINCE THE THROTTLE BODY IS PART OF THE ENGINE. HOW CAN A VEHICLE 2-3YEARS OLD AND HAVE A 100,000 MILE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY NOT BE COVERED. AFTER TALKING TO A FEW CHEVY PEOPLE I FOUND OUT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHER TYPES OF GM VEHICLES TOO. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MULTIPLE WARNINGS AND LIGHTS CAME ON AND SPEED WAS REDUCED BY THE ENGINE TO 20 MPH FROM 65MPH. IF THERE HAD BEEN ANOTHER VEHICLE BEHIND US AT THE TIME WE WOULD HAVE EASILY BEEN HIT BECAUSE OF THE RAPID DECELERATION. THE FIX WAS TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY ON THE ENGINE. I WAS DRIVING AT 65 MPH, AND HIT A SMALL BUMP WHERE A BRIDGE ENDS AND THE PAVEMENT RESUMES. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL AS SERVICE STABILTRAK AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER INDICATORS. I WAS ABLE TO LIMP THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS, BUT AT A VERY REDUCED SPEED. THE DEALER FOUND THAT THE "THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR" TO BE FAULTY, AND AFTER REPLACING THAT ITEM THE VEHICLE RAN NORMALLY. THIS WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE REPAIR COST WAS $540. I AM TOLD THAT THESE ARE A COMMON PROBLEM BOTH BY THE DEALER AS WELL AS BY AN INDEPENDENT SHOP. I AM SURPRISED THAT: 1. A PART SUCH AS THIS IS FAILING IN A VEHICLE WITH SO FEW MILES 2. DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE WAS AN ALERT ON THE DASHBOARD SAYING THAT "TRACTION CONTROL OFF" THEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER ANOTHER ALERT CAME ON STATING THAT "ENGINE POWER HAS BEEN REDUCED". WAS AT TARGET ONE EVENING AND NOTICED A SWEET UNUSUAL SMELL COMING FROM THE TRAVERSE. I TOOK A LOOK UNDERNEATH THE CAR AND NOTICED PINK SUBSTANCE DRIPPING FROM THE ENGINE. UPON LEAVING TARGET I NOTICED THAT THE ARM ON THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE WAS HIGHER THAN NORMAL. I DROVE 40MPH FOR A MILE AND THE GAUGE SHOT UP TO THE TOP. I WAS 25 MINUTES FROM HOME. I HAD TO STOP 6 TIMES TO LET THE ENGINE COOL DOWN IN ORDER TO MAKE IT HOME AND I HAD ALL FOUR OF MY KIDS IN THE CAR WITH ME AS WELL. IT TOTALLY FREAKED THEM OUT. I HAD TO RENT A CAR FOR THE WEEKEND AS I NEEDED TRANSPORTATION TO GET AROUND. I HAD A COMPANY THAT WILL COME TO YOUR HOME TO FIX YOUR CAR. FOUND OUT IT WAS MY FUEL PUMP. AFTER 4 HOURS OF LABOR AND $400.00 LATER IT WAS FIXED. FOUR MONTHS LATER, TODAY MAY 10, 2013 AS I'M DRIVING HOME FROM WORK, THE CAR BEGINS TO BEEP AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT COMES ON AND SERVICE STABILITRAK SYSTEM AND TRACTION CONTROL OFF DISPLAYS IN THE DISPLAY WINDOW. IT SEEMED AS IF IT WAS HARD TO ACCELERATE AS WELL. THIS IS THE 2ND THING THAT IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE FAIRLY EXPENSIVE TO FIX THAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS CAR. IT IS THE WEEKEND AND NOW HAVE TO TRY AND FIND A PLACE TO TAKE MY CAR AND HAVE IT SERVICED. SEEING NOW THAT THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS WITH THIS SPECIFIC COMPONENT ON THE CAR, CHEVROLET NEEDS TO RECALL THIS CAR AND FIX THIS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. WE WERE MOVING FROM SOUTH CAROLINA TO WISCONSIN WHICH IS A 1,000 MILE TRIP. ON THE MORNING OF FEBRUARY 9TH, 2013 WE WERE ABOUT TO ENTER CINCINNATI ON THE SECOND LEG OF OUR TRIP WHEN ALL THE SUDDEN THE DASH DISPLAYED A MESSAGE THAT SAID TRAK SYSTEM FAILED, SOON FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER MESSAGE INDICATING THE ENGINE POWER HAD BEEN REDUCED. THE VEHICLE WENT FROM 60 MPH TO APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH AND THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SHUDDER WITH A FEELING OF LOSS OF FIRING CYLINDERS, AND LOSS OF VEHICLE STEERING CONTROL. SO WE PULLED OVER, READ THE BOOK, AND SHUT THE CAR OFF LIKE IT SAID, WAITED 15 SECONDS AND THEN TURNED THE CAR BACK ON. THE CAR WAS FINE AND WE FINISHED THAT LEG OF THE TRIP HOPING NOTHING ELSE WOULD HAPPEN. IT HAPPENED ON A VERY BUSY STRETCH OF I-75N NEAR COVINGTON, KY AND IT COULD HAVE CAUSED A CRASH. MY ENTIRE FAMILY WAS IN THE CAR. SO I CALLED AND SPOKE TO A GM TECHNICIAN AT TIRE DISCOUNTERS IN CINCINNATI WHO STATED IT PROBABLY IS YOUR THROTTLE BODY AS HE HAD JUST REPAIRED THE SAME ISSUE ON ANOTHER GM CAR. BEING THAT IT WAS SATURDAY, THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO AND WE HAD TO STILL TRAVEL AN ADDITIONAL 300 MILES TO WISCONSIN. THE CAR ONLY HAD 45,000 MILES ON IT THE DAY OF INCIDENT. THE NEXT DAY FEBRUARY 10 2013 WE CONTINUED OUR TRIP AND RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF INDIANA THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED AND AGAIN WE TOOK THE SAME ACTION. AGAIN IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT BUT WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER. ON TUESDAY FEBRUARY 19, 2013 I TOOK THE CAR IN TO BE LOOKED AT BY ANDREW CHEVROLET IN GLENDALE, WI AND THE DIAGNOSIS WAS THE SAME. THE THROTTLE BODY HAD GONE BAD AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPAIRED FOR $519.00. THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED THAT THEY TOO HAD CHANGED THEM ON MULTIPLE CARS. GM NEEDS TO RECALL THE 2011 TRAVERSE AND REPAIR THIS PART BEFORE SOMEONE GETS IN AN ACCIDENT AND GETS KILLED. I ALSO NOTICED THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN THREE MONTHS NHTSA HAS RECEIVED A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS ISSUE. *TR UDPATED 03/14/13
