fuel pump issue that is cause engines to stall while driving or not start after placing gas in the vehicle. It is having the battery run low and car die or stall and stop while driving. It will turn your check engine light on.

My car has been having a problem with traction control/service stabilitrak and losing power to the engine since I purchased it. The problem was only occasionally, now it does it EVERYTIME I drive. First it pops up with traction control off message, once that happens it starts to lose power to the engine making the car(heavy car) shudder so bad I cannot drive. The transmission lags on acceleration and it also pops up with "service stabilitrak", "Power loss to engine "And the car will not move until I can pull over and turn it off. Very scary. I have 4 kids and its losing power while Im driving on the highway. Ive replaced sensors, Cleaned the throttle body and also changed spark plugs and changed fuses. It's very dangerous and I found out this is VERY common , especially for my year.

The dealer ( P & C Auto of Vance SC) used a code reader to clear out safety codes before the car was purchased. After having a diagnostic test done, a mechanic was able to show the codes and when they were cleared. He recommended returning the car back as it was not safe to operate. I would like to have this looked at. I sent a letter to both the dealer and the finance company ( Mid Atlantic of Clearwater Florida) to be reimbursed so that I can purchase a car from elsewhere and to have this car removed from my credit report. The car has been at the mechanic since May where it was towed after being dragged across the road and stalling out. It sat overnight because it would not start. He is unable to repair. Both parties have failed to return my phone calls, emails, or written requests. I've met with an attorney and I'm ready to pursue legal actions because I could have been killed along with my children on several occasions. Please check this car out and the safety codes (P1682 and P0689)

Multiple issues have occurred with this vehicle. I have had major unsafe issues while driving while on the freeway and streets where my vehicle reads traction control off and engine power reduced which leads my vehicle to lose all power and shut down being stranded and almost hit multiple times while by myself and while my husband and children are present. I believe I am the second or third owner of this vehicle and I was never given any information about any recalls

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving 35-40 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The message "Power Reduction" was displayed, and the check engine and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The contact stated that the vehicle was able to restart; however, upon attempting to drive, the vehicle shuddered, and the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact scanned the vehicle with a vehicle scanner and retrieved DTC: P1682; which indicated an Emission Switch Circuit Fault. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.

I was driving along the highway way at 60-65 mph when suddenly service traction control came on and vehicle started jerking and slowing down. As I tried to accelerate it continued to jerk and then just shut off completely. I hit the guard rail/ jersey wall on the drivers side because I had no control of the vehicle due to the vehicle shutting down. Upon taking it to the dealer after getting it home they stated it could be the junction box which is a known issue but they don’t see anything wrong with it and can’t duplicate the problem. I’ve contacted various mechanics and get that it’s an electrical issue that Chevrolet is aware of but refuses to place a recall for it. I could have gotten seriously injured if not killed by this problem and safety issue.

The contact stated that the failure was due to the weld on the exhaust being fractured from the A/C drain leaking onto the exhaust. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was unknown. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,010. The VIN was invalid.

This has happened three times . First time i was driving my vehicle on the street and randomly turned off . The second time this happened i was driving on the freeway at 66 mph & it randomly turned off and the speed was reduced on seconds. This incident was very dangerous to the point were i almost got hit with my family in the vehicle I needed a tow truck to take me home and it was super risky and dangerous because other vehicles were passing about 2 ft away from us and at a high speed. Third time this happened i almost got hit again due to the random shut off and loss of velocity and this time it was a very small gap and space i had and cars kept honking and cars were passing at a one ft distance . once the lights turn on , on the dash board when it's barely a warning and recently pop up the vehicle automatically randomly turns off . the lights i get on the dashboard are stability track , traction control off , engine power is reduced , service stabilitrak, and check engine light . Has not been inspected .

The message "Engine Power Reduced" was displayed. The contact pulled to the side of the road and allowed the vehicle to cool down. The contact stated that as he resumed driving, the failure recurred several times. The contact replaced the brake position sensor; however, the failure recurred while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the steering angle position sensor and the BCM were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V614000(Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000.

After several minutes, the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the number two fuel injector was stuck open. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle failed to start. The manufacturer was contacted, who opened a case and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. This occurred several times a week and vehicle slowed down dramatically and had to be driven slowly from the roadway. This was a dangerous situation. After safely stopping, I was able to resume travel after turning off engine and restarting, although check engine light would remain on for several on/off cycles. Engine stored code P1682. This has also happened while at a stop and when the accelerator was pressed, the vehicle would stall (sometimes in middle of intersection).

- Engine locked up and does not turn at all - Engine failed while our son was driving on the hwy to school and the car stalled. He was not able to turn the steering wheel and the gas peddle would not work. Luckily he knew to get off the road right away. - Gustmans Chevrolet in Kaukauna, WI confirmed this problem. After doing research and talking with the dealership. They said they are finding this is a common issue in the 2012-2014 Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclaves, and Acadias. - Just the dealership as of now - The check engine light went on and then went off the day before. No other message in the vehicle popped up. - The sad part is most of these vehicles are still in good shape and well taken care of. To be told we can only get $500 for this vehicle is just wrong. These vehicle engines should last longer than 9-10 years, Especially when we have done all the other maintenance on our vehicle.

2014 Chevy Traverse - stalls while driving very abruptly. Reduce engine power and service stablitrak comes on. Then traction control warning lights flash. Very very dangerous. Happen while driving car begins to shake violently and recently stalled in middle of busy intersection. No way this should not be recalled it's definitely a known issue. Unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic however, the mechanic was unable to provide a cause for the failure. Towed to Chevy Dealership in Lancaster NY - Basil quoted $4k+ for repair to engine control relay and timing chain. If there is recall on this we will keep and get fixed if not will need to pass and look at other vehicles. Everything starts to go after warranty dates are up or after you hit a certain mileage. We have always purchased GM vehicles my father is GM retiree. Please help.

[XXX] I WAS GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND THE STABILITRAK, TRACTION CONTROL, CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ALL CAME ON. ENGINE REDUCED POWER LIGHT CAME ON I LOST ALL POWER OF THE VEHICLE, I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND FORCED OFF OF THE ROAD BECAUSE MY ENGINE DIED. I WENT FROM DOING 70 MPH DOWN TO 10 MPH AND CAME VERY CLOSE TO GETTING REAR ENDED. This would have caused a chain reaction rear end crash with multiple vehicles. WHEN I GOT TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD I WASN'T ABLE TO GET MY VEHICLE STARTED. I waited about 10 minutes tried it again. It turned over with yellow engine light remaining on. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. 1 HAVE SEEN WHERE THIS IS A PROBLEM IN THIS YEAR MODEL OF THIS VEHICLE AND WONDERING WHY IT HASN'T BEEN RECALLED YET BY THE MANUFACTURER BEFORE SOMEONE LOSES THERE LIFE. This is my only vehicle and I feel that it is unsafe to drive. I have a one year old granddaughter and her safety is at risk. Please help fix this problem as we need a car to drive. While driving, check engine light went on, stabilitrack and traction control went off (information from Driver Information Center) and power was reduced. This occurred several times over a period of two to three weeks and vehicle slowed down dramatically and had to be driven slowly from the roadway. This was a dangerous situation and luckily it never happened at highway speeds in one of the left lanes of traffic. After safely stopping, I was able to resume travel after turning off engine and restarting, although check engine light would remain on for several on/off cycles. Engine stored code P1682. Brought to dealer service and they repaired per TSB #19-NA-276 related to issues in fuse box. Repair was $406.48. This is a known issue with manufacturer. Also, many owners have mentioned this safety issue on Internet forums and YouTube videos.

The fuse block/box has been identified, as the problem by the manufacturer and reported to the dealer service centers. There have been numerous complaints filed on the 2014 Chevrolet Traverse fuse block. Service techs were instructed (years ago) to look at the fuse block when the following problems were reported by the owner. If they knew to instruct their techs to look at the fuse block/box, then they knew it was defective - it should have been recalled/replaced at that time. Since it wasn't, there have been ongoing safety risk to many vehicle owners and passengers. It has also required owners to pay hundreds of dollars to repair/replace the known defective part; I just paid $965.00. While driving at any speed, the car will begin shaking/jerking; dashboard messages begin: Engine Power is Reduced, Traction Control Off, Service Stabilitrak, along with the Service Engine light. In the city, before you can move over out of traffic, the engine stalls/stops. You are in the middle of the street with no engine power, no steering, and no brakes. This is very dangerous and can immediately result in an accident...to you/the driver, or cause an accident further behind, when the other drivers can't see that traffic has stopped. Even with flashers on, it may take several attempts to get the vehicle started again. The same situation occurred last year traveling down a highway at a speed of 70 mph, while we (myself and spouse) were able to pull off the road, had the car not started again - we would have had a towing bill back to the dealership service center. We were not told about the fuse block/box (known) problem at that time. I am truly shocked, very disappointed and angry to learn (on my own) that the safety of my granddaughter (from birth) has been a risk every time we traveled in my vehicle. She and I travel alone, sometimes up to 3/4 hrs. away to see family, and could have been in an accident or stranded on the side of a highway, or street, many times.

There is a problem with the stabilitrak system that causes the vehicle to shut off while driving. This turns off the traction control and reduces power to 3 cylinders, thus causing the vehicle to go into limp mode and can cause an accident. This problem is intermittent and the dealers can't seem to find the underlying issue. It will happen whole parked, stopped at an intersection or driving at highway speeds. I have had this happen while driving in heavy traffic on the freeway and in the number one lane. My vehicle lost power and I had to try and negotiate three traffic lanes to stop along side the freeway. I had to put the transmission in park and shut the engine off for 15 seconds in order to clear the code and safely proceed back into traffic. The check engine light remains on for a period of time, but will clear itself. This is unsafe and needs to be address by GM as it is happening to multiple model types in GM vehicle lineup.

This morning when it happened I was turning into a parking lot to drop my kids off and almost hit a sign because the engine completely stalled mid turn. I have also had it happen to me on major highways.

I recently purchased a 2014 Chevy traverse LT. While driving on a four lane busy road with a 65 mph speed limit my vehicle without warning said “traction control off, reduced engine power” and within seconds I had no power stealing and I went from driving 65 mph to 10 in less then 10 seconds, the car started violently shaking as well. I had to aggressively redirect the steering wheel to get to the side of the road and turn the vehicle off & wait a few minutes & restart it. It seemed to fix the problem. Within a week it happened again, on the way home from work, and I was nearly rear ended at a 60 mph speed and I am now terrified to drive the car more then a mile up the road to my kids school, I have two small children and this has put us in an almost near death situation TWICE! I purchased this car so I would have a reliable vehicle for my kids and I and it’s been terrifying for my children and I to own this Chevy! The dealership I purchased the vehicle from is over two hours away, I also live in a rural area so to have it diagnosed I’d be having to drive at least 15 miles and I’m terrified to do so

One day as I was driving on the freeway, the vehicle's engine light/airbag light came on and the vehicle then went into "engine power reduced mode" I was lucky to be close to a turn-off. I was able to get the vehicle off the road safely. I turned off the vehicle and check it. Then turned the vehicle back on and all lights were off. It was shocking, the car was driving normally. I did not think twice and took it to the dealership. They told us it was just the battery and airbag sensor. Thankful they changed it, no cost to us. But later this happened again, this time it was the "engine light and traction control off". We have no idea what it is. Because we have taken the vehicle to a mechanic to get checked, but they can't seem to find anything wrong with it. This happens several times. Can I have some answers or help to stop this from happening. At this point this vehicle to very dangerous to drive.

THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. Dealership is unsure what exactly is the issue with the vehicle. While driving the vehicle out of nowhere the engine stalls and the 'engine power is reduced', 'service traction control', 'service stability track' and 'service air bag' messages illuminate across the dash. While these messages display there is no acceleration to the vehicle. This makes it very dangerous to drive.

THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIME RECENTLY WHILE IN TRAFFIC AS WELL AS ON THE HIGHWAY. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 65 MPH. IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FREQUENTLY WITH THE LATEST OCCURRENCE 01/20/2021. ONCE THE TRUCK SITS FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 TO 30 MINUTES THE VEHICLE WILL START AND RUN. SOMETIMES THE ISSUE WILL HAPPEN AGAIN WHILE DRIVING, SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT. TYPICALLY ONCE THE VEHICLE SITS OVERNIGHT THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL GO OFF BY ITSELF. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHILE IN TRAFFIC OR DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY IN NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. IT HAS BEEN OCCURRING MORE FREQUENTLY. ONCE THE VEHICLE SITS FOR 20 TO 30 MINUTES IT WILL USUALLY START BACK UP. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINS ON. ONCE THE VEHICLE IS PARKED OVERNIGHT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT USUALLY GOES OFF. I HAVE SEEN THAT THIS IS A COMMON COMPLAINT WITH THIS VEHICLE. I FEAR FOR THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND MY FAMILY AS THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME. IT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE CHEVY SERVICE DEPARTMENT 4 TIMES WITH THEM DOING THE FOLLOWING: REPLACED SPARK PLUGS, FUEL INDUCTION SERVICE, NEW SENSOR BOX AND NEW WATER PUMP. THE PROBLEM STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. IT IS CURRENTLY AT ANOTHER CHEVY SERVICE DEPARTMENT ABOUT 15 MILES FROM ME. THEY HAVE HAD IT FOR 3 DAYS NOW AND STILL NO WORD AS TO WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES IT'S WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AND IT STAYS ALL WHILE BEEN DRIVEN. THE ENGINE IN MY 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE DIED. I HAD ONLY HAD 53K MILES ON THE ENGINE. THIS AVERAGES TO AROUND 10K MILES PER YEAR, WHICH IS BELOW AVERAGE USE. I MAINTAINED THE CAR ACCORDING TO THE CAR OPERATING MANUAL WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE AND FULL SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGES PER SCHEDULE ALL AT THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. LEADING UP TO MY ENGINE DYING, THE ENGINE STARTED TO MAKE SOME CLINKING NOISE, BUT NO LIGHTS CAME ONE. WHEN THE DASHBOARD PANEL STATED TO CHANGE THE OIL, I WENT WITHIN DAYS TO A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR A FULL SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGE. NO LOW OIL OR ENGINE LIGHTS EVER CAME ON. ACCORDING TO THE OPERATING MANUAL, I HAVE 600 MILES TO CHANGE OIL ONCE THE "CHANGE OIL" MESSAGE APPEARS. I PROBABLY DROVE 60 MILES. AFTER THE MECHANIC CHANGED THE OIL TO FULL SYNTHETIC, AS REQUIRED, THE ENGINE DIED/LOCKED. AT NO POINT, DID THE CAR DRIVE OR ENGINE START WITH NO OIL. I HAVE VIDEO PROOF FROM THE MECHANIC OF A CORRECT OIL CHANGE. I STILL HAVE A CERTIFIED PREOWNED LIMITED POWERTRAIN WARRANTY, WHICH COVERS THE ENGINE. THE DEALERSHIP IS REFUSING TO HONOR MY WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP BLAMES THE MECHANIC FOR RUNNING THE ENGINE WITH NO OIL. I HAVE VIDEO PROOF TO THE CONTRARY, AND THE ENGINE NEVER INDICATED LOW OIL, AS THE CAR MONITORS FOR THIS. I CONTACTED GM 5 WEEKS AGO, AND THEY ALSO REFUSE TO HONOR MY WARRANTY.

IT FINALLY STARTED AND I WAS ABLE TO GO TWO MILES WHERE IT CUT OFF AGAIN, HOLDING UP MORNING SCHOOL AND WORK TRAFFIC ON THE TWO LANE ROAD. THERE WAS NO SHOULDER TO PULL OFF TO. I JUST READ WHERE THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH A SHORT IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT CAUSES THE CAR TO JUST SHUT OFF. I PUT MY VIN NUMBER IN THE RECALL DATABASE TO SEE WHAT TO DO AND IT TELLS ME MY CAR IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND I FEAR FOR MY FAMILY KNOWING THESE TYPES OF ISSUES EXIST.

AFTER PULLING OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THE CONTACT TURNED THE VEHICLE BACK OFF AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES BEFORE THEY WERE ABLE TO TURN THE VEHICLE BACK ON WITH NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED A TOTAL OF FOUR TIMES. DURING THE FOURTH FAILURE, THE SERVICE STABILITRAK INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.

TOOK THE VEHICLE TO TODD WENZEL IN DAVISON MICHIGAN. UPON RESTARTING TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP THE VEHICLE DROVE AS NORMAL WITH THE ENGINE LIGHT ON. THE DEALERSHIP CODED IT.( SEE ATTACHED) WE DID DO THE WORK THE DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDED. THIS WAS THE FOURTH TIME WE HAVE HAD SIMILAR ISSUES. THE PAST THREE TIMES JUST THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH NO STALLING OR SPEED ISSUES AND THE CODE WAS IGNITION SWITCH FUSE. WE HAD THE FUSE REPLACED EACH TIME. ALL WITHIN 8-9 MONTHS. CODE READ THROTTLE BODY WHICH WAS CLEANED. THE VERY NEXT MORNING EXITING THE INTERSTATE IT LOST POWER, WOULD NOT START, AGAIN TURNING OVER BUT NOT CATCHING. TOWED TO THE DEALER AND DIAGNOSED: FUEL HARNESS WIRING. #3 IGNITION COIL, SPARK PLUGS AND FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING. ALL DONE EXCEPT FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING. DROVE TO WORK, ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE WORK AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT CRANK, TURNING OVER BUT NOT CRANKING. EVENTUALLY CRANKED AND 2 DAYS LATER STARTED JERKING. SO I SHUT IT OFF AND STARTED IT BACK UP. IT SEEMED TO BE FUNCTIONAL AFTER RESTARTING IT. IT WAS OKAY FOR A FEW DAYS UNTIL THE MAJOR ERRORS HAPPENED AGAIN THIS MORNING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE AND ESC WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. AFTER WAITING APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES, THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO LOSE ACCELERATION AGAIN AND WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE NEXT DAY, THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO APPLE CHEVROLET IN TINLEY PARK, ILLINOIS WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE PEDAL ACCELERATOR SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAME FAILURE OCCURRED IN FEBRUARY OF 2017 AND THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE SAME DEALER AT THAT TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

ON MORE THAT ONE OCCASION BUT MOST RECENTLY ON 03/16/2018 I HAVE DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND I GET THE FIRST MESSAGE OF, "SERVICE STABILITRACT". THE NEXT MESSAGE IS, "TRACTION CONTROL OFF". IT IS THEN FOLLOWING BY, "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. THE VEHICLE THEN DECELERATES TO 10-20 MPH. THIS HAS OCCURRED TO ME TWICE WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY TRAVELLING IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.(NOT WHILE ACCELERATING). THIS HAS OCCURRED WHILE ACCELERATING FROM 0 MPH, 30+ MPH, 60+ PMH AND DECELERATING FROM 60+MPH, 30+MPH AND FROM 0 TO 30 MPH. IT HAS OCCURRED WHILE TURNING A CORNER, DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE. THE DEALERSHIP SAID TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN AFTER AN INCIDENT WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT EVER HAVING TO STOP AND TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. THE POWER STEERING IS ALMOST NON-EXISTENT AFTER REDUCED ENGINE POWER OCCURS. IT FEELS LIKE IT IS RUNNING ON THREE OF THE SIX CYLINDERS AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. I ALMOST HIT A SCHOOL BUS ONCE. THE VEHICLE IS AT THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN FOR IT'S SECOND WEEK OF DIAGNOSTICS.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN AN EXIT RAMP ON A HIGHWAY, SUDDENLY A WARNING LIGHT CHIMED AND THE SERVICE STABIL-TRAK/SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL/REDUCED ENGINE POWER MESSAGES COME UP. THE CAR STARTS TO REDUCE SPEED UNTIL IT GETS TO 10-15 MPH. IT ALSO STARTS RUNNING AND IDLING REALLY ROUGH. I WAS ABLE TO LIMP ALONG TO A PARKING LOT. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE CAR WILL NOT DRIVE ANYWHERE. IT HAS TO BE TOWED. THEN SOMEHOW WHEN IT HAS BEEN TURNED OFF FOR A WHILE, IT SUDDENL RUNS FINE AND THE PROBLEM CAN'T BE DUPLICATED. JUST GOT IT BACK FROM THE DEALER AFTER HAVING FOR A WEEK. THE CAR ONLY HAS ABOUT 36,000 MILES ON IT. THIS IS THE 5TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED.

THE CAR SUDDENLY SHAKES AND IDLES REALLY ROUGH. THE CAR SHAKES WHILE IDLING AND ALL HEAT IS LOST. THE INSIDE WINDOWS OF THE CAR BECOME IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE OUT OF DUE TO FOGGY WINDOWS. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME IN ABOUT A MONTH THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THIS CAR. THE FIRST TIME, AN IGNITION RELAY WAS FIXED. THREE DAYS LATER AFTER GETTING THE CAR BACK, THE CAR DID IT AGAIN. THE SECOND TIME, A CRANKSHAFT SENSOR WAS REPLACED. THE THIRD TIME WAS AGAIN ABOUT 2-3 DAYS AFTER GETTING IT BACK FROM BEING REPAIRED. THE THIRD TIME, THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED AS WELL AS A REMOTE STARTER REMOVED. SOME WIRING WAS REPAIRED. THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST POWER IN THE AFTERNOON FOR THE 4TH TIME. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY. THE CAR IS UNABLE TO DRIVE AND HAS TO BE TOWED TO REPAIR SHOW/DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR.

TYPICALLY ONCE THE REPAIR HAS BEEN MADE, IT IS ABOUT 3 DAYS UNTIL THE ISSUE HAPPENS AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN LEFT STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD 3 SEPARATE TIMES NOW. I'VE READ THAT IT CAN TAKE A WHILE FOR THE VEHICLE TO "LEARN" HOW YOU DRIVE, BUT THIS DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT. ALMOST TOO SCARED TO DRIVE. WHILE DRIVING THIS CAR I WILL GET THREE AUDIBLE "BONGS" THEN I WILL GET ERROR MESSAGES "SERVICE STABILITRAK", TRACTION CONTROL OFF", ENGINE POWER REDUCED". AT THIS TIME I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE SPEED OF THIS VEHICLE. I CAN DEPRESS THE GAS PEDAL AND GET AN INCREASE IN ENGINE RPM BUT NO MORE FORWARD SPEED (MPH). MY FORWARD SPEED WILL CONTINUE TO DECREASE. I WILL HAVE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND TURN THE ENGINE OFF. WAIT TWO OR THREE MINUTES THEN RESTART THE ENGINE. IF I AM LUCKY THE VEHICLE WILL OPERATE NORMALLY BUT WILL DISPLAY A SERVICE LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD. THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS. I HAVE CONTACTED MY AUTO DEALER AND PARTS WERE INSTALLED. I ASKED ABOUT THE CAUSE OF THIS PREDICAMENT AND THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THE SAME SITUATION COULD BE CAUSED BY A HUNDRED DIFFERENT SENSORS IN THE VEHICLE. I NOW HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. 17K MILES AND 12 MONTHS LATER. AGAIN; THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS. DEALERSHIP CAN NOT FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE, ONLY FOUND MULTIPLE CODES FROM THE PAST AND STILL COULD NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE. GM NEEDS TO STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT AND REPLACE THESE VEHICLES ASAP OR FIX THIS ISSUE. LAWSUITS WILL BE FILED.

OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS 10 MONTHS I HAVE LOST THE COOLANT IN MY AIR CONDITIONER. THEY HAVE FILLED IT SEVERAL TIMES, ADDING DYE, BUT HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE LEAK EVEN THOUGH THEY ACKNOWLEDGED IT WAS LOST. SINCE THE WARRANTY WAS RUNNING OUT WE TOOK IT IN AGAIN AFTER DYE HAD BEEN ADDED AND THEY FINALLY STARTED TO LOOK AT THE EVAPORATORS. THEY COULD NOT THOROUGHLY INSPECT THE FRONT EVAPORATOR SINCE A FULL INSPECTION REQUIRES REMOVAL OF THE DASHBOARD. THEY LOOKED AT THE REAR EVAPORATOR AND FOUND SOME CORROSION (WITH A MIRROR) AND A PINHOLE LEAK.. WHEN THEY WENT TO ORDER A NEW PART AND GM HAD A FOOTNOTE THAT IF THEY WERE ORDERING A REPLACEMENT EVAPORATOR THEY SHOULD ALSO ORDER AND REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR SINCE THE COPPER IN THE MOTOR BRUSHES WAS ATTACKING THE ALUMINUM EVAPORATOR. (THE MORE YOU USED THE AC, THE SOONER IT WOULD SHOW UP AND CAUSE THE CORROSION. THIS IS WHY EACH TIME IT TOOK ABOUT 8 MONTHS FOR THE COOLANT TO LEAKED OUT.) BOTH REAR AC PARTS WERE REPLACED BUT THE BLOWER MOTOR FOR THE FRONT EVAPORATOR WAS NOT REPLACED AND THIS MAY ALSO BE GOING BAD. WE WON'T KNOW FOR A WHILE SINCE WE WON'T BE USING THE AC DURING THE FALL AND WINTER MONTHS. ALSO, IF THESE MOTORS CORRODE THE ALUMINUM EVAPORATOR, IT COULD EASILY ATTACK OTHER ALUMINUM PARTS IN THE CAR AND OF COURSE THE COOLANT HAS BEEN LEAKING INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR, BOTH OF WHICH WHICH MAY BE A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN.CHEVROLET WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT DID NOT TO RECALL THESE CARS SINCE GENERALLY THE ISSUE MAY NOT SHOW UP UNTIL THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I HAVE E-MAILS FROM JOHN THORNTON CHEVROLET'S SERVICE MAN ALONG WITH A PICTURE OF THE EVAPORATOR BUT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ATTACH THEM TO THIS COMPLAINT FORM.

I WAS SITTING AT A LIGHT AND HEARD CHIMES. THE VEHICLE DISPLAY SHOWED SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRAK AND TRACTION CONTROL TURNED OFF. WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. THERE WAS SOME KIND OF ENGINE LOSS BUT IT DID NOT STALL OUT. THE RADIO AND THE AIR WERE ON AND WORKING FINE. I TRIED MANY ATTEMPTS MULTIPLE TIMES TO GET THE CAR TO MOVE BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. THIS INCLUDED PUTTING IT IN PARK AND ALSO TURNING IT ON AND OFF. THE WARNINGS CONTINUED TO FLASH. THEN AFTER ONE ATTEMPT I FELT IT START TO MOVE AT AN EXTREMELY LOW RATE OF SPEED. AS I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT I FELT SOMETHING CATCH AND THE VEHICLE STARTED MOVING AT A NORMAL SPEED. I TURNED THE VEHICLE ON AND OFF AGAIN ONCE I WAS IN THE PARKING LOT. THE ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED BUT THE SERVICE STABILITRAK AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL DID NOT DISPLAY AGAIN. I KNOW FOR A FACT THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT ON WHEN I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THERE WAS NOTHING DONE TO THE VEHICLE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE TO DUPLICATE IT. I WAS ALSO TOLD THIS WILL OCCUR AGAIN, THE PROBLEM WILL NOT GO AWAY BUT GET PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER TIME AND HOPEFULLY THE NEXT TIME THE VEHICLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START. I CHECKED NHTSA WEBSITE AND THERE SEEMS TO BE A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS MADE FOR THE EXACT SAME THING WITH MANY MAKES AND MODELS. THIS IS A LEASE VEHICLE AND I DID CONTACT GM AND HAVE A CASE NUMBER. I UNDERSTAND CARS BREAKDOWN BUT WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES NEEDS TO BE DUPLICATED BEFORE A PART CAN BE REPLACED. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THERE IS NOT A RECOMMENDED FIX FOR THIS.

MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING, WITHIN 5-10 MINUTES OF DRIVING IT WILL RUN ROUGH, BUCK AND NOT ACCELERATE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHES IN ADDITION TO THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT. WHEN YOU STOP AND TURN OFF THE CAR ALL OF THE SYSTEM LIGHTS TURN OFF. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY THE FIRST TIME IT WAS SERVICED THE DEALERSHIP CHANGED THE INJECTORS ON ONE SIDE, THEN FIVE MONTHS LATER IT STARTED AGAIN. WENT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. NOW AT THE FIRST DEALERSHIP THAT REPLACED THE INJECTORS AND NO SYSTEM CODES PRESENTED AND THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE.

1.- DURING THE LAST QUARTER OF 2015, THE VEHICLE STARTED FAILING, SHUTTING DOWN ITSELF ON ROAD OR PULLED OVER (RANDOM FAIL) 2.- AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF 'ANALYSIS', THEY DETERMINED THAT A 'MODULE' WAS DAMAGED AND HAD TO BE EXCHANGED ZERO COST, SINCE THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. 3.- AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF THE CAR ON THE WORKSHOP, THE FINALLY PROVIDE US THE CAR AGAIN, STATING THAT EVERYTHING WAS PROPERLY FIXED AND RESOLVED. 4.- ON JANUARY 2016, VEHICLE SHUTDOWN SURPRISINGLY ON A ROAD AT HIGH SPEED. VEHICLE WAS SOLD IN MEXICO AND DEALERSHIP HAS NOT PROVIDED SATISFACTORY SERVICE

AS THE VEHICLE WAS DRINING 50 MPH, THE CAR PULLED TO ONE SIDE AND SLOWED. AND WAS NOT EASILY CONTROLLABLE. NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT I HAD TO GO OVER 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC TO SAFELY PULL OVER. THE "TRACTION CONTROL IS OFF" LIGHT CAME ON AT THE DASHBOARD AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED SEVERAL TIMES. I HIT THE BUTTON TO TURN ON TRACTION CONTROL BUT IT DID NOTHING.

WAS DRIVINGON GARDEN STATE PARKWAY, DOING ABOUT 65 AND ALLOF A SUDDEN MY CAR STARTED TO SHIMMY AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WAS FLASHING AND THE ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. I TRIED TO KEEP THE CAR IN CONTROL AND STARTED TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER, BY THE TIME I GOT OVER THE CAR WENT BACK TO NORMAL. IT LASTED ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SANK TO THE FLOOR BOARD. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS A SUDDEN INCREASED IN ENGINE RPMS AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS MERGED TO THE SIDE OF ROAD AND TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.

I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35-45 MPH INCREASING SPEED AND THE ENGINE ON THE CAR STARTED TO DIE, GAUGES ALL FLASHED AND WARNING LIGHTS WENT ON ALL OVER DASH. THE GAUGES ALL CRASHED TO ZERO, AS IT WAS DYING DUE TO RUNNING OUT OF GAS BUT AT THE TIME IT WAS BETWEEN 1/2 A TANK AND 1/4 OF A TANK. GAVE IT SOME GAS AND IT REENGAGED. SECOND NOT ON A 2015 NEW ONE, I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR A RENTAL, 356 MILES, DRIVING AT 75 MPH AND ENGINE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF, I HAD TO MAKE MY WAY COASTING TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT POWER STEERING OR ANYTHING TURN THE KEY OFF AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND IT REENGAGED. BUT THIS IS TWO OF THE SIMILAR ISSUE ON TWO DIFFERENT TRAVERSES THAT DON'T CURRENTLY HAVE THE RECALLS OFFICIALLY ON THEM,. THEY ARE UNSAFE YET I HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE AROUND WITH MY FAMILY AND CHILDREN IN THE CAR AND HOPE IT DOESN'T OCCUR OR CAUSE US TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. *TR

WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT, I APPLIED THE BRAKE AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. PUT THE VEHICLE INTO PARK AND THEN REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL, AS SOON AS I DID THIS THE CAR BEGAN TO MOVE FORWARD, I REAPPLIED PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE AND THEN SLOWLY LET IT BACK OFF AGAIN AFTER VERIFYING THAT IT WAS IN THE PARK POSITION (WHICH IT WAS). THE CAR CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD DRIVING OVER THE CEMENT CURB STOP AND STRAIGHT TOWARDS THE GLASS WALL OF THE BUSINESS I HAD PULLED INTO, AND SO I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED THE PARKING BRAKE AND REMOVED THE KEYS FROM THE CAR. I THEN TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR BUT IT WOULD NOT TURN ON, ONLY THE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON, THE BRAKE PEDAL AT THIS POINT WAS SEIZED AND I COULDN'T PRESS IT DOWN, NOR WAS I ABLE TO MOVE THE CAR OUT OF THE PARK POSITION. AFTER CALLING A TOW DRIVER HE CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION LINKAGE AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET THE CAR STARTED AGAIN HOWEVER NOW THE CAR IS RUNNING, IN THE PARK POSITION BUT THE REVERSE CAMERA IS ON AND WHEN I TAPPED THE GAS IT BEGAN TO BACK UP. THE CAR HAS NOW BEEN TOWED TO MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP WHO ARE INVESTIGATING BUT THEY CLAIM THERE IS NO RECALL'S OR NOTIFICATIONS FOR A 2014 AUTOMATIC TRAVERSE (WHICH THERE IS!!). I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR LAST MONTH (AUG) AND I SEE THE NOTICE WAS ISSUED IN FEB. *TR

WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY, MY NEW 2014 CHEVY TRAVERSE LOST ALL ENGINE POWER. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN SEVERAL MONTHS. MY VEHICLE LOST POWER, LIGHTS WENT OFF AND I NEARLY ESCAPED A CAR ACCIDENT WHILE STEERING WITHOUT ANY ENGINE POWER! THERE WAS NO WARNING- NO LIGHTS WARNED US, NO SOUNDS, NO SPUTTERING- JUST LOST ENGINE POWER. I NEARLY WAS KILLED AND AVOIDED AN ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAY. SEVERAL LIGHTS WENT OFF: "TRAK CONTROL OFF, CHECK STAB TRAK." GM HAS ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THEIR HANDS THAT MUST BE RECALLED. I DO NOT WANT TO PUT MY YOUNG CHILDREN BACK IN THIS VEHICLE. IT WILL KILL SOMEONE. THIS IS THE 2ND EVENT WITH THIS "COMPUTER GLITCH." SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, AS I DROVE THE CAR OFF THE LOT - THE LIGHTS WENT OFF AND GM DEALER SAID IT WAS A COMPUTER GLITCH. TO DRIVE A NEW CAR, AND WITHOUT ANY WARNINGS - NO WARNINGS WHEN THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN IS A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I DON'T WANT A NEW COMPUTER PART.
