Coming to a stop at a red light or stop sign card jerks starters then shuts down. Almost got in an accident two or three times because of this safety situation I am having with the drivetrain and the engine stall. This happens all the time from the time I purchased the vehicle.

Everything was fine I get my oil changed regularly, I get fluid top offs, I keep it well maintained. The other day while driving on the freeway my car slowly started to die out, the rpm was hitting at 4-5 but my speed was only 30 mph. This is my only vehicle I'm my mother's soul provider, taking her to after chemo check ups, to her liver doctor appointments. I was told this car has this problem alot. I was hoping something could be done to help me out..

The vehicle shuts off while driving at any given time. It started about 4 months ago while I was on the freeway in the fast lane. No warning lights or sounds came on. I costed over to the left shoulder because it was rush hour. When I tried to restart it, it sounded like it was stalling and I couldn't jump it either. It was like the engine got hot even though the gauge didn't say it was. After I let it set for about 30 minutes it started right back up. I thought it was a one time thing, but it's been doing it a lot more and I've had to sit and wait for longer periods of time. I searched online and found the symptoms of what it's doing and it appears there was a recall and investigation about the issue. If I remember correctly there was over 13,000 vehicles recalled for the powertrain module or something like that but when I searched my vehicle it says no recall.

As I was driving down a slight slope while braking to try to come to a stop, the car died / shut off. Within the few seconds that I was trying to slow to a stop, the brakes stopped working, various lights turned on the Dash (I can't remember which), and then the car shut off entirely. If there was a car or something in front of me, I would not have been able to stop because the brakes weren't working. This problem has been reported numerous times through various online forums/sites. There was no warning, message, or other symptom to indicate this would happen. This car also has stalling issues that has been complained of by other Chrysler 200 owners as well. Both stalling and shutting off poses a serious concern to all drivers.

The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was awaiting diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 165,000.

Car shuts off randomly while driving and will not start back right away

My 2013 Chrysler 200 has stalled or shut off completely while driving. The steering wheel and brakes lock up and the car just stops running. There are never any warnings or lights ahead of time to indicate there is any problem. The car simply just shuts off while driving and will not start back up right away. After sitting for about an hour untouched, the car will start right up and run fine until it happens again. No mechanic can diagnose it because there are no lights or codes to run to say what the issue is. My third time this happened, I was in a busy intersection attempting to make a turn and was almost t-boned when my car couldn't move out of the intersection. After the car shuts down and I attempt to restart right away, all the lights on the dash light up, but none stay on once the car stops cranking or even when the car does actually start up again. This is very dangerous for myself and any one else I may have in my car with me. I am a mother and I do not feel safe ever having my kids in my car with me. I've read online that this has happened to so many others but no recall will ever be done to fix this issue.

Car is not picking up speed when your in drive, jerks badly, cuts off in the middle of driving, keeps killing the battery, drives about 5 miles an hr the max. Car has been at the chrysler dealership for over 6 months and it is still not fixed. They are saying that it's still doing the same thing as when I brought it in. Nothing is being Done to resolve the issues

CHYRLSER 200 4CYL SEDAN. WHEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE CAR DOESN'T SHIFT TO THE PROPER GEAR. THE RPMS WOULD BE BETWEEN 6000-7000 AND COULDN'T GET OVER 60 MPH. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE PAST MONTH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SHOWED UP THE SECOND TIME WITH A CODE P0882 TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE.

IN JULY 2019, MY 2013 CHRYSLER 200, THAT I PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN 2014 JUST STOPPED. WOULDN'T GO FORWARD OR BACKWARD. I WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD ON A STEEP HILL. I WENT FROM 45 MPH TO NOTHING WITHOUT ANY WARNING. NO WARNING LIGHTS EVER CAME ON AND THE CAR WASN'T ACTING ANY DIFFERENT THAN IT HAD THE MILLION TIMES I HAD TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR IT BEING JERKY WHEN TAKING OFF. THEY REPEATEDLY TOLD ME THERE WERE NO ISSUES FOUND AND THE CAR WAS FINE. I WAS AND STILL AM THE SOUL OWNER OF THIS CAR THAT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE 85,000 MILES ON IT. I SPOKE WITH CHRYSLER SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT MY WARRANTY AND THE NOW BAD TRANSMISSION. THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE CLOSEST CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. WHICH I HAD IT TOWED THERE SINCE THE CAR WAS NO LONGER DRIVABLE. I WAS CONTACTED A FEW DAYS LATER BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TELLING ME IT WAS, IN FACT THE TRANSMISSION AND WOULD NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. THIS CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BY 30 DAYS GIVE OR TAKE AND WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY BY MILES. BUT SINCE IT'S AN EITHER-OR WARRANTY, I WAS NOW OUT OF A CAR THAT I HAD PAID ALMOST $30,000 FOR, UNLESS I WANTED TO GO IN HALF WITH CHRYSLER AND PAY THEM AN ADDITIONAL $2113.44 TO REPLACE OR FIX THE CURRENT TRANSMISSION. THE TRANSMISSION IS A CLOSED TRANSMISSION BUT DIDN'T REQUIRE ANY SERVICE UNTIL 96,000 MILES PER THE OWNER'S MANUAL. HAD I HAD, MY THEN 9-MONTH-OLD GRANDSON WITH ME WHEN THE CAR WENT FROM 45 MPH TO NOTHING AND A VEHICLE HAD BEEN BEHIND ME, WE BOTH COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR EVEN KILLED. THE CAR NEVER GAVE ANY WARNING THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE BEFORE THERE WAS AN ISSUE. I FIND THIS COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY AS A PARENT, NANA, AND QUITE FRANKLY A HUMAN. HAD I KNOWN OF THIS WEBSITE WHEN THIS HAPPENED, I WOULD HAVE REPORTED IT THEN! HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO MAKE THIS KIND OF SITUATION NOT HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE.

ALL OF SUDDEN I FELT A JOLT IN THE GEAR SHIFT AND THEN I LOST POWER STEERING AND I COULDN'T STEP ON THE GAS TO ACCELERATE . SO I PULLED OVER THE BEST I COULD, ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 55 MPH. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON AFTER GIVING IT A COUPLE MINUTES IT WAS TURNING OVER BUT NOT TURNING ON. THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY STALLED. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS. IT WAS COMPLETELY RANDOM. I HAD TO CALL FAMILY TO COME PICK ME AND MY DAUGHTER UP. AFTER A FEW HOURS WE CAME BACK A NEW TRIED IT. IT WORKED BUT AFTER DRIVING IT AN HOUR IT DID THE SAME THING AGAIN. I CHECKED THE RECALLS FOR MY CAR AND THEIR ISN'T, HOWEVER WHEN I READ UP ON FORUMS AND MY CAR HAS THE SAME ISSUES AS THE OTHER 2013 CHRYSLER 200S. WITH ENGINE STALLING AND GREATER POSSIBILITY OF AN ENGINE FIRE. I THINK THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. I HAD MY TODDLER IN THE CAR AND IT WAS FRIGHTENING. MY CHRYSLER 200 HAS BEEN TURNING OFF OUT OF NO WHERE. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANYTHING TURNS ON. MY CARS HORN GOES OFF RANDOMLY IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND WHEN PUT INTO PARK. I HAD 3 RECALLS AND RECENTLY WENT TO GET THEM FIXED THINKING IT WOULD HELP , SINCE ONE OF THE RECALLS WAS REPROGRAMMING THE MAIN MODULE OF THE CAR. STILL TO THIS DAY IT TURNS OFF ON ME. JUST THE OTHER DAY I WAS IN TOWN MAKING A TURN AND IT STOPPED BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE TURN. IT'S ALSO TURNED OFF ON ME MANY TIMES WHEN I'M DRIVING IN ONE DIRECTION. AFTER IT TURNS OFF I AM ABLE TO RE START IT, AND OTHER TIMES I HAVE TO WAIT SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE I'M ABLE TO GET IT TURNED BACK ON.

I COULD BE DRIVING IN TOWN CRUISING DOWN MAIN STREET AT 25MPH AND MY CAR ENGINE WILL LOSE POWER SHAKE THEN DIE WHILE I'M STILL DRIVING IN MOTION. I COULD BE DRIVING ON THE FREE WAY WITH SPEEDS AT 70 MPH AND MY CAR WILL JUST DIE, FOOT GOES ALL THE WAY IN PEDDLE WHEN DEAD. YOU COULD FEEL NO POWER IN THE CAR AND IT WILL ROLL OUT. ONCE THE CAR IS DEAD THE POWER STEERING IS OUT. IT'S VERY UNSAFE. I'VE BEEN BROKEN DOWN FOR HOURS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OR MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SECOND INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A FAULT CODE FOR THE CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF HAVING DTC COME UP FOR EVAP AND MISFIRE THEN DISAPPEAR JUST A QUICK AS IT CAME UP, MY VEHICLE HAS RECENTLY BEGAN STALLING OUT WHILE DRIVING, SPECIFICALLY WHILE DECELERATING OR IDLING. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED 2 YEARS AGO AND TESTS GOOD EVERY TIME, AS DOES THE ALTERNATOR, STARTER, WIRES, CONNECTORS AND SENSORS. NOBODY CAN FIND ANY DTC ON THE OBDII OR ANYTHING ELSE. IT'S EASY TO REPLICATE BUT IMPOSSIBLE TO DECIDE WHY. I'VE TALKED TO THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT POSSIBLE RECALLS FROM 2012 CONCERNING THE PCM AS WELL AS CHATTED WITH A FEW PEOPLE ON THE CHRYSLER WEBSITE AND NOBODY WANTS TO HELP. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SITUATION, AS I CAN PROVE WITH VIDEO FROM MY DASH CAM AND BACK UP CAM. MY FRONT END AND STEERING HAS BEEN TAKEN APART AND REPLACED SO MANY TIMES . THE FRONT END SCAPES CLUNKS STILL. I EXPLAINED TO BOTH CHRYSLER CORP AND ARRIGO DODGE CHRYSLER IN WEST PALM BEACH. IM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. THE CAR FEELS LIKE I LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. I HAVE A BAD CAR SERVICE RECORDS STATE ALL THE REPAIRS. AND THE DEALER IS NO HELP WHEN THE CAR WAS BUMBER TO BUMBER COVERAGE . I PURCHASED A CHRYSLER 200, 2013 FROM MANHATTAN CHRYSLER. THIS CAR IS A LEMON IT HAS A BAD TRANSMISSION AND THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES LOCK AT RANDOM. I TOOK THE CAR TO MANHATTAN CHRYSLER FOR REPAIR WHEN IT ONLY HAD 21,000MI. THEY RECOGNIZED THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AFTER THE SECOND VISIT. CHRYSLER SAID THAT THE BRAKE ARE NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. AFTER THEY REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION THE VEHICLE STILL DIDN'T PERFORM THE TRANSMISSION CONTINUED TO SLIP IN SECOND GEAR. I RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO CHRYSLER, NOW THE FOURTH TIME IN REPAIR. AT THIS POINT, I WAS DIRECTED TO THE RECONSIDERATION DEPT. THEY OFFERED AS COMPENSATION A ONE TIME CAR PAYMENT OF $493.13'I WAS ABSOLUTELY INSULTED BECAUSE I PAID $39.505.00 WITH FINANCE CHARGES. I SOUGHT LEGAL HELP BUT THEY WEREN'T MUCH HELP. I WAS TOLD BY LEMON LAW ATTY. THAT LITIGATION WOULD TAKE 2 YRS. AND I MAY NOT EVEN RECEIVE $4,000.00. CHRYSLER, TOTALLY DISREGARDED MY ATTORNEY AND WOULD NOT CORRESPONDED TO ANY PHONE CALLS OR LETTER ON MY BEHALF FROM THE ATTY. AS I WAS DOING 70 MPH ON THE HWY MY CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN TO 30 MPH AND WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED, THE SYMBOLS THAT CAME ON THE CAR WERE FOR THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL AND THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED THE CAR OFF AND AFTER A MINUTE OR SO, I RESTARTED THE CAR AND CONTINUED ON, AFTER BEING ABLE TO DRIVE ONLY A FEW FEET, IT STARTED AGAIN. I'VE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING. WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY GOING UP A SLIGHT INCLINE THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FROM 6TH GEAR TO 5TH AND BACK TO 6TH RAPIDLY. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF CRUISE CONTROL OR MANUAL. THE SECOND ISSUE IS THE STARTING THE CAR AND PUTTING IT INTO DRIVE. IT GOES INTO GEAR HARD THE OUT OF GEAR AND BACK INTO GEAR. WHEN I START TO DRIVE THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT. IT IS STUCK IN GEAR. I CAN PUT IT INTO MANUAL SHIFT AND IT WILL NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I HAVE TO PULL OVER. SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE AND START IT BACK. THEN THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT CORRECTLY. THIS HAPPENS MAYBE ONCE A MONTH. RECENTLY IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN TWO WEEKS. THE THIRD ISSUE IS DOWNSHIFTING OF THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I HAVE LET OFF THE GAS AND IT DOWN SHIFT HARD ENOUGH TO PULL YOUR BACK FROM THE SEAT. IT IS WORSE COASTING DOWN A STEP HILL WHEN IT DOWNSHIFT HARD. I HAVE BEEN TO THE CHRYSLER DEALER FOUR TIMES SO FAR FOR THE SAME ISSUES FIRST 08/26/2015 SECOND 10/28/2015 THIRD 05/25/2016 FOURTH 09/17/2016 I HAVE ALSO BEEN IN CONTACT WITH CHRYSLER. BOTH THE DEALER AND CHRYSLER SAYS THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS ISSUE. THE DEALER WILL TAKE A 6 MILE ROAD TEST AND SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. THE LAST APPOINTMENT THE DEALER WAS SUPPOSED TO DRIVE OVER 50 MILES TO TRY TO DUPLICATE MY ISSUES. THEY NEVER TOOK THE CAR ON THE ROAD AND SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG AND IT DROVE FINE. CHRYSLER OR THE DEALERSHIP HAVE NOT MADE AN ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TWO VIDEOS OF THAT THE CAR DOES ON THE ROAD AND THE TRANSMISSION ACTS UP.

I HAVE A 2013 CHRYSLER 200, IT HAS ROUGHLY 70,000 MILES, AS I WAS ACCELERATING ONTO THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO OVER 40-50 MPH. I WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED BECAUSE EVERYONE WAS TRYING TO GET ONTO THE HIGHWAY. I COULDN'T PULL OVER BECAUSE OF IT BEING OVER A BRIDGE. WHEN I WENT TO PULL OVER THE CAR STALLED AND WOULD NOT START UNTIL THE 3RD OR 4TH TRY. THE CAR IS PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW THERE IS NO WAY THIS SHOULD BE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES DIDN'T HELP OR SOLVE THE PROBLEM EITHER. AFTER MULTIPLE TIMES OF PRESSING THE OFF BUTTON IT SHUT OFF AFTER PUTTING THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. TOOK IT TO CAR DEALER SHIP & THE COMPUTER WAS UPDATED BUT NO ISSUES FOUND. ON MANY OCCASIONS MY CAR HAS SEEMED TO HAVE SHIFTING PROBLEMS ESPECIALLY COMING OUT OF 1ST GEAR. TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP & NO ISSUES FOUND THE MECHANIC SAID CAR SEEMED FINE BUT TO RETURN IF PROBLEM RETURNED. THE PROBLEM STILL COMES AND GOES BUT I TRY TO IGNORE IT BECAUSE THE SHIFTING ISSUE DIDN'T SEEM ANY WORSE. WHEN I SHIFT FROM 1 GEAR TO THE OTHER THERE IS A NOISE AND A JERK. THE RPM ALSO GOES UP VERY HIGH WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE AS IF IT IS NOT ABLE TO SHIFT GEARS. 2013 CHRYSLER 200 CONVERTIBLE WAS BOUGHT NEW AND A FEW WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE, THIS CARS TRANSMISSION GOT STUCK IN 1ST AND WOULD NOT SHIFT...THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION...TOOK IT IN AND WAS TOLD IT WAS FIXED...LONG STORY SHORT...THIS SAME PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED 7 TIMES...THE DEALERSHIP...GLEN E. THOMAS IN SIGNAL HILL, CA. DID ALL THEY COULD TO REPAIR THE CAR AND WERE ALWAYS VERY NICE AND ACCOMMODATING. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE 11/2012. IT IS 2013 200S WITH THE V6 ENGINE. I'VE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE TORQUE PULL ON BOTH TAKE-OFF AND ACCELERATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IT DRIFTS TO THE RIGHT IN A SHORT DRIVING DISTANCE AND THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. I'VE RETURNED IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS ON FOUR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS ONLY TO HAVE THEM SAY NOTHING IS WRONG. THE PROBLEM BEGAN AT ABOUT 2000 MILES, IT NOW HAS 10,500 MILES AND THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. ONCE THE WARRANTY EXPIRES THE PROBLEM WILL BE FOUND AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT. I DO KNOW THE TORQUE PULL ISSUE IS BECAUSE OF THE DRIVE LINE DESIGN, THE V6 SHOULD HAVE A LIMITED SLIP UNIT, THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THAT NOW. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE HAD EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE FAILURES INVOLVING THE FUEL, ELECTRICAL LIGHTING AND THE POWER TRAIN. THE VEHICLE ALSO STALLED DUE TO LACK OF FUEL DESPITE THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE INDICATING THAT THERE WERE 40 MILES OF TRAVEL REMAINING BEFORE NEEDING TO REFUEL. ADDITIONALLY, THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD FLICKER ON AND OFF, THE AUTOMATIC WINDOWS AND INTERIOR LIGHTING WOULD ENGAGE SPORADICALLY AND INDEPENDENTLY, AND THE ENGINE RPMS WOULD INCREASE ABNORMALLY, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT DRIVE PROPERLY. THE RPMS RUN HIGH AND MANY TIMES DOES NOT SHIFT OUT OF 5 GEAR WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS. I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER HAVE BEEN TOLD "THAT IS HOW THIS CAR DRIVES", "IT IS OK TO RED LINE YOUR CAR". AFTER SEVERAL COMPLAINTS THE DEALERSHIP GM FINALLY AGREED THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG AND THE "FLASHED" MY CAR. AFTER THAT I WAS GETTING 30 MPG HIGHWAY AND IT WAS SHIFTING WITHOUT ME HAVING TO TAKE MY FOOT OF THE GAS. LESS THEN 5,000 MILES LATER IT IS BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. ON 10/25/2013, WHILE BACKING THE VEHICLE FROM THE PARKING SPACE, THE ENGINE SURGED IN REVERSE AND IT WAS NECESSARY TO PUSH ON THE BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR FROM SURGING IN REVERSE, THIS IS WITHOUT ACCELERATION. STOPPED THE CAR, PLACED IN PARK AND TURNED CAR OFF. TURNED CAR BACK ON AND THE SURGING IN REVERSE STOPPED. SUBSEQUENTLY, ON THE WAY HOME I STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT, AND THE CAR SURGED AGAIN, AND I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM GOING FORWARD. PULLED OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHEN THE STOP LIGHT TURNED GREEN, TURNED THE CAR OFF AGAIN, AND THE PROBLEM STOPPED AGAIN. TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR 10/28/2013 TO HAVE THE PROBLEM STUDIED. THE SERVICE MAINTENANCE HAD A TSB 18-029-13 THAT WE WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF INVOLVING POWER TRAIN ISSUES WITH THE 2013 CHRYSLER 200. AT ABOUT 3400 MILES ON ODOMETER - IT BEGAN WITH ENGINE LIGHT OFF/ON (HAVE PHOTO) BUT DEALER CANNOT FIND ISSUE NOR REPRODUCE, ALONG WITH A THUMP/JOLT WHEN SHIFTING GEARS, WHEN DRIVING BETWEEN 10 - 40 MPH. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER AND HAD CHRYSLER REPRESENTATIVE RIDE ALONG AND THE THUMP OCCURRED ON 3 OCCASIONS WITHIN 15 MIN TEST DRIVE. CHRYSLER REP STATED "THIS IS A NORMAL EXPERIENCE WITH CHRYSLER AUTOS" DEALER BUT MOPAR ADDITIVE IN TRANSMISSION TO "HELP THE GEARS SHIFT SMOOTHER" IT DID FOR SHORT WHILE AND THEN THE THUMP STARTED AGAIN. NOW AT ABOUT 9000 MILES ON THE AUTO AND A WEEK IN THE SHOP FOR DIAGNOSTICS, THUMPING AS SHIFTING GEARS AT TIMES SEEM AS IF IT MIGHT STALL-OUT. DEALER OFFERS A TRADE-OUT BUT NOT ABLE TO HONOR THAT OFFER EITHER AFTER THREE WEEKS OF NEGOTIATION. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT WITH 200 CHRYSLER - BIG $20,600.00 MISTAKE - DEALER ONLY SUGGESTION IS TO KEEP BRINGING THE AUTO BACK? FOUR TRIPS TO THE DEALERS-SHOP THEY STILL ARE NOT ABLE TO RESOLVE THE ENGINE LIGHT, NOR TRANSMISSION ISSUE WITH THUMP/JOLTING WHEN SHIFTING GEARS??? I STARTED THE 2013 CHRYSLER 200 AND SHIFTED THE TRANSMISSION INTO "DRIVE". WITH MY FOOT STILL ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, I CHECKED THE MILEAGE ON OUR NEW CAR AND IT READ 139 MILES. I COULD FEEL THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGE THEN I FELT WHAT SEEMED TO BE A SECOND ENGAGEMENT BEFORE I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE. AS SOON AS I BEGAN DRIVING I NOTICED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SHIFTING OUT OF FIRST (1ST) GEAR. I STOPPED THE CAR AND SHIFTED THROUGH PARK, NEUTRAL AND MANUAL IN AN ATTEMPT TO FREE UP THE TRANSMISSION BUT WHEN I STARTED DRIVING AGAIN IT STILL WOULD NOT TRANSITION OUT OF FIRST (1ST) GEAR EVEN WHEN PUT IN THE MANUAL SHIFT MODE. I DROVE IT DIRECTLY TO THE DEALER WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE, AND AFTER A TEST DRIVE THEY CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS NOT SHIFTING BUT STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND A CODE INDICATING ANY PROBLEM.
