Since the day I picked up the car from the dealership lot, I have had consistent issues with this vehicle simply operating safely and normally. In Arizona, you're legally responsible for a vehicle the moment you sign — even before you drive it off the property — so I was essentially stuck with it. From that point forward, I have been at my dealership nearly every month due to various mechanical and electrical issues. The vehicle has a history of repeated electrical and mechanical failures that affect both safety and basic function. One of the most serious problems is that the car randomly shuts off while driving, including in traffic and at intersections. This happens without warning and creates a serious risk of being hit from behind or losing control of the vehicle. In addition, the car frequently fails to start. It will often require a jump-start just to turn on, but even then, service technicians have told me the battery is not the issue, and in some cases, it doesn’t respond to a jump at all. The problem remains undiagnosed, with technicians saying they cannot pinpoint the cause. The issue appears to be electrical or ignition-related, but no definitive fix has been found. There have also been ongoing problems with the transmission jerking, hesitation during acceleration, and various warning lights coming on, including the battery, check engine, and transmission indicators. These issues began shortly after purchase and have occurred consistently over time. The vehicle has been brought to the dealership numerous times, where they have attempted repairs, but the problems continue. It is not safe to drive and continues to present a major safety hazard due to unexpected shutdowns and unreliable starting. These issues have been acknowledged by the dealer but never resolved, and the vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? • the parking brake randomly turns on mid driving especially on the highway. My car will randomly stop driving but the the radio and everything else is on but the car isn’t on if that make sense. When I go to turn it back on after it shuts off it stutters then finally kicks back on. My tire sensors are completely off , my airbag system is always saying error , seat belt system is always going off. I could be going 50mph and car will shut off mid driving. Yes it can be inspected for FREE. Especially if my car is recalled . How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? • my safety is definitely put at risk and sometimes others depending what my car does that day. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? • no I haven’t had no one to look at it Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? • no I haven’t been in a accident I do my best to get off the road Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? •seat belt sensor is on , airbag sensor is on , and check engine light is on. It’s been going on for about 2 months now There was NO incident but I am very scared their will be. I do my best to be off the road but this is my only vehicle. I just seen an article my vehicle is recalled .

My car is stuck in drive but won't let me turn my shifter to park. It will not start and I have to undo the battery to get it to shut off . But it won't cranck. It sometimes will slow down for no reason and speed up without me even pressing the gas. My shock absorbers look like they are almost off the coil over spring. My lights in my car. sometimes work and sometimes don't. My headlights won't turn on sometimes. I have to kill the car and rest the system on my radio . My radio just started working last week for the first time since I got it and I have had it since October 2024. Bunch more problems . My service brake light and service airbags lights never go off. . My engine lights never goes off. My tires sensors never pick up. My car is currently sitting in a parking lot and since I can't drive it bc it won't shift into park the battery has been stolen and also something has happened to my windshield. Bc my windshield is broken on passenger side.

My car will not go into park. It will not engage. It is staying in gear. I called Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Lee Summit and they say that that has been repaired before there is a recall on it but there’s refusing to repair it. Never had that happen or had it repaired since I’ve owned the vehicle but unsafe and drivable Dangerous I was stuck in the middle of the street for over an hour was very very terrifying. Can you help me figure out what they won’t fix this? Control Automatic Emergency Braking R08 I believe this is to the recall code I run the car for a while, and I have never taken it in for this I was unaware until it lost up on me my number

While driving vehicle lost power and began to show service transmission and park brake check signs. Vehicle lost power and was lucky we weren't rear ended on the road by the Cars behind or cause an accident. Looking at this is year there are several complaints with the same issue. Car only has 33k miles and is having transmission issues.

There were no warning lamps but my transmission shift very hard and is very jerky. Also my parking break keeps engaging on its own. Im afraid that im going to be driving and it will engage itsself. It hasnt happened while driving yet but it had many times while setting still and in gear

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PARKING BRAKE ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY WITH AN UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, RESTARTED, AND DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARKING BRAKE WA IN TRANSITION AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ON SEPTEMBER 12, 2020, I NOTICED THAT MY STEERING WHEEL WAS HARD TO TURN SUDDENLY AND MY GAS PEDAL AND BRAKE PEDAL WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE MUCH AND IT WOULDN'T STOP PROPERLY. SOME LIGHTS LIT UP ON MY DASH BOARD. I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO THE SHOP A FEW DAYS LATER. THE MECHANIC HOOKED MY CAR TO A MACHINE AND NOTHING WAS REALLY SHOWING. HE DID SOMETHING TO RESET MY DASHBOARD ALERTS AND SAID THAT IF IT CONTINUED TO BRING IT BACK. IT DID CONTINUE, SO HE ORDERED NEW COILS FOR MY CAR. I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK IN ON SEPTEMBER 29, 2020 FOR REPAIR. THE MECHANIC RECHECKED MY CAR AND HE FOUND METAL FLAKES IN THE OIL THAT HE DRAINED FROM MY TRANSMISSION. HE SAID THAT IS NOT NORMAL FOR REGULAR WEAR AND TEAR.

ON AUGUST 23RD, I WAS TAKING MY SISTER IN LAW BACK HOME FROM OUR HOUSE. ON THE WAY BACK FROM HER HOUSE I DECIDED TO WASH MY 15 CHRYSLER 200. WHEN I AS DONE WITH THAT TASK AND GOT BACK IN THE CAR. I NOTICED MY BRAKES WOULDN'T DISENGAGE. I TRIED TO DO THE MAINTENANCE RELEASE THROUGH THE CAR'S RADIO AND IT WOULDN'T LET ME DO IT. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAD ANY PROBLEM WITH THE CAR. SO I THEN TRIED TO TURN OFF AND ON THE CAR AND THAT DIDN'T WORK. SO THEN I THOU MAYBE IF I DROVE IT, THEY WOULD RELEASE AND JUST AS I HIT 45MPH, THEY DID. AND STARTED TO PREFORM NORMALLY. AN HOUR LATER, I STOPPED BY MY MOTHER-IN-LAW HOUSE TO TAKE CAR OF HER DOGS LIKE I'VE BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS AND WHEN I WAS READY TO LEAVE. THE CAR BATTERY DIED. I'M NOT QUITE SURE HOW CAUSE I DON'T LEAVE MY LIGHTS ON EVER. AND I SAT THERE TO WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO TOW IT TO THE STORE WITH CAR BATTERY AND HAD THEM SWITCHED. THEY CAME TO TELL ME THAT THEY COULDN'T GET THE CAR OUT OF GEAR. SO I WENT OUT THERE TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND THEY WERE RIGHT. THE CAR WAS RUNNING FINE BUT I COULDN'T GET IT TO CHANGE GEARS. ON MY DASHBOARD. MY SMALL SCREEN SAID TO SERVICE THE PARK BRAKE AND I THOUGHT, WHAT THAT THE BRAKES GOT TO DO WITH IT'S TRANSMISSION. I LOOKED AND SAW MY MILEAGE, 93,568, WAS BLINKING AND MY GEAR INDICATOR AS N. I'M PRETTY SURE THAT THE CAR WAS IN PARK THE HOLE TIME THEY WHERE CHANGING OUT THE BATTERY. THE SHIFTER NOB WAS ABLE TO TURN BUT I WASN'T CHANGING THE GEAR EITHER. SO AFTER THAT, I RELEASED THE PARKING BRAKE, THAT'S SOMEHOW MADE THE CARE SHOW IT WAS IN DRIVE, AND HAD IT TOWED BACK TO MY MOTHER-IN-LAW HOUSE.

I'M CURRENTLY ON VACATION 33 HOURS AWAY FROM HOME IN CALIFORNIA AND I'M SCARED I WON'T BE ABLE TO GET MY CAR BACK AND MYSELF AND FAMILY HOME SAFELY IN THIS CAR COME SATURDAY AND HONESTLY I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT NOW BECAUSE IT DOES IT RANDOMLY WITH ZERO WARNING.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BOLES AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE CENTER, LLC (354 UNION CEMETERY RD SW, CONCORD, NC 28027, (704) 792-1005) WHO REPLACED THE BRAKES AND COMPLETED AN AIR BAG RELATED RECALL REPAIR ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURES PERSISTED. THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE SAME DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC CODES RETRIEVED WERE NOT CONCLUSIVE WHICH INDICATED AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.

ALSO I NOTICED THE VEHICLE DIDN'T COME WITH RUBBER ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IT WAS COMPLETELY METAL AND MY FOOT WAS SLIDING WHILE DRIVING SO I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND TRIED TO GET IT REPLACED BUT THEY SAID THAT IS WAS A COST SAVING ISSUE AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT SINCE NONE OF THE CARS CAME WITH THIS SO I PURCHASED A STAINLESS STEEL PEDAL COVER KIT BUT I'M STILL HAVING ISSUES WHILE DRIVING WITH THE ACCELERATOR ON THIS VEHICLE WHILE ON THE FREEWAY BECAUSE IT HARD ACCELERATOR AT HIGH SPEEDS WITHOUT THE GRIP OF THE RUBBER.

SHOPS REPORT BRAKE SURGE IS NORMAL. ALSO HAD SPORATIC HARD PEDAL, MASTER CYLINDER IS OK. BRAKE PEDAL CLICKS AND FEELS UNSTABLE. AS I AM DRIVING THE PARKWAY GOING ABOUT 60 MPH MY CAR WITH OUT ANY WARNING STARTED WITH FLASHING RED ON THE DASHBOARD. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE STARTED GOING FROM HOT TO COLD AND THE ENGINE SYMBOL FLASHED ON DASH BOARD. I WAS IN THE LEFT HAND LANE WITH A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC PASSING ME. WITHIN 2-3 MINUTES AS I STARTED TO GO DOWN HILL THE DASH FLASHED STEERING WILL BE DISABLED, THEN AUTOBRADING WITH BE DISABLED. THE RADIO AT THIS POINT SHUT OFF AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER THE CAR. THERE WAS LITTLE ACCELERATION WHEN I TRIED TO GIVE IT GAS TO KEEP WITH THE PACE OF THE OTHER VEHICLES ATTEMPTING TO MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I PUT MY HAZARDOUS FLASHERS ON BUT BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE A DASH BOARD SCREEN I WAS SURE THEY WERE WORKING EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL SEEMED TO BE OFF. I FINALLY MADE IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE CAR WENT ABOUT 3 FEET AND STOPPED. I WAS NOT ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK ONCE I GOT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR THE TOW COMPANY TO PULL THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE WHEELS WERE LOCKED AND THEY HAD TO USE SPECIAL EQUIPMENT.

"TAKATA RECALL". TO BEGIN, MY CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE, I'D BE DRIVING AND IT WOULD HESITATE THEN TAKE OFF REALLTY HARD AS TO EVEN JERK. THEN ANOTHER ISSUE OCCURRED WITH THE DASH ILLUMINATING TELLING ME MY AIRBAGS ALERT DISPLAYING ON MY DASH (2X)TOOK IT BACK TO DEALERSHIP, THOUGH THEY KEPT IT FOR A WEEK, THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE SOMEONE KICKED THE WIRING LOOSE UNDER MY PASSENGER SEAT. NO ONE HAS EVER SAT IN MY BACK SEAT. NOW MY CAR IS IN THE SHOP BECAUSE AT FIRST THE MALFUNCTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED, DROVE MY CAR TO WORK, RETURNED TO MY CAR AND IT WOULDN'T START, HAD ROADSIDE JUMPSTART IT, AND IT STARTED, WENT BACK OUT LATER AND IT WOULDN'T START, AS I TRIED TO GET OUT, MY DASH LIT UP AND I HAD TO PUSH THE BUTTON FOR IT TO TURN OFF, AS I'M WALKING AWAY, MY CAR LITERALLY TRIES TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN, AS IF I HIT MY REMOTE START. HAD IT TAKEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY DIAGNOSED MY CAR AS HAVING A FAULTY CLIMATE CONTROL MODULE ( FIRST OFF, I DRIVE 17 MILES TO AND FROM WORK EVERYDAY, MY CLIMATE CONTROL HAS BEEN BEYOND FUNCTIONAL, I LITERALLY HAVE TO TURN IT OFF BECAUSE IT GETS SO COLD IN MY CAR) AND THEY ALSO SAID MY CAR STALLED BECAUSE OF A BAD BATTERY, AND SAID THE BURNING I SMELLED ON THE PASSENGER DOOR WAS A FAULTY WIRE AND THATS WHY ITS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, WHICH THEY'RE REPAIRING, BUT CHARGING ME FOR IT. I HAVE HAD SO MANY ISSUES WITH THIS CAR SINCE I PURCHASED IT. WHEN I'M DRIVING AND TURN THE WHEEL TO THE LEFT, IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING IS GOING TO BREAK, ALSO MY BREAKS WILL LOCK UP ON ME IF IT'S RAINING AND I'LL SLIDE ( REALLY)?? WHEN I DECREASE IN SPEED THE TRANSMISSION JERKS AS IF IT DOESN'T WANT TO GO INTO ITS LOWER GEARS. I PURCHASED MY 200 IN 2017, THE ABS INDICATOR LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF, THERE ACTUALLY A RECALL BUT, MY VIN DOESN'T SHOW IT. MY EMERGENCY PARK HAS IGNITES ON ITS WHILE STATIONARY AT A STOP SIGN AND WHILE IN TRAFFIC AT A RED LIGHT, THANKFULLY THERE WASN'T ANY SEMI-TRUCKS BEHIND ME BECAUSE, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A FATALITY. THE CAR HAS LOST POWER WHILE IN MOTION AT LEAST 3 TIMES. JUST RECENTLY MY CAR BECOME STUCK IN NEUTRAL AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I CALLED CHRYSLER, THEY STATED THAT IT WAS A POWERTRAIN ISSUE AND IT WOULD BE COVERED WITH MY WARRANTY, SO THEY PAID FOR THE TOW TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE DEALERSHIP HAD THE CAR FOR A DAY, THEY COUNTERCLAIMED WHAT CHRYSLER STATED, THEY CLAIMED THAT IT WAS BECAUSE, THE BATTERY WAS JUST REPLACED SO THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE RE-SET BUT, THIS HAPPENED ON 2/12/2019 AND MY BATTERY WAS REPLACED ON 9/2018. THERE WAS A RECALL IN 8/2015 FOR THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE. I TALKED TO THE GUYS AT MY REGULAR SERVICE STATION AND AS SOON AS I TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPEN THEY KNEW THAT I WAS LIED TO BY THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP.

CHANGED BATTERY IN KEY FOB AND CAR BATTERY AND STILL DOING THE SAME THING. SEEN NUMEROUS PEOPLE ON HERE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. AFTER REPLACING ALL THAT TOOK TO PUT BACK ON A MACHINE AND WAS TOLD I CAN’T HELP YOU CAUSE IT’S NOT THROWING ANY CODES WHAT DO I DO I GOT A CAR THAT I STILL OWE ALMOST 14,000 DOLLARS ON THAT IS UNSAFE TO BE DRIVING. THE CAR DOES THIS WHEN IT’S BEING DRIVEN CAN LET SET FOR HOURS AND STAYS RUNNING BUT I CAN’T EVEN MAKE IT 3 BLOCKS WITHOUT IT DYING AND NOT STARTING BACK UP FOR AWHILE. TAKATA RECALL WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR (ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN ACCELERATING) IT SEEMS TO NOT WANT TO SHIFT INTO GEAR. ONE TIME I WAS DRIVING AND STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN I TRIED ACCELERATING MY GEAR WENT ALL THE WAY INTO THE RED AND I HAD TO PULL OVER SHUT MY CAR OFF AND COMPLETELY RESTART IT. ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN I BRAKE, IT SEEMS LIKE IT ACCELERATES FIRST AND THEN SLOWS DOWN. I'VE TRIED HAVING SOMEONE LOOK AT IT BUT IT JUST SO HAPPENS IT DIDN'T DO IT WHEN SOMEONE TEST DROVE IT. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE FREEWAY IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. I HAD A GOOD 3-4 CAR LENGTHS IN BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. THE CARS IN FRONT OF MY CAME TO A SUDDEN STOP SO I SLAMMED ON MY BRAKES. THE CAR INITIALLY SLOWED BUT NOT AT THE PACE I EXPECTED. I PUSHED THE BRAKES TO THE FLOOR BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I REAR ENDED THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME TOTALING THE CAR. THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM IN FRONT OF ME AND THE ROADS WERE DRY. THE CAR SHOULD HAVE STOPPED IN TIME WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THE BRAKES WERE THE CAUSE. I HAD NOTICED THEM BEING DELAYED IN THE WEEKS PRIOR BUT DID NOT HEAR ANY SQUEAKING SO I ASSUMED THEY WERE FINE UNTIL THIS HAPPENED.

LEADING UP TO THE ENGINE GOING OUT THE CAR WOULD JUST RANDOMLY CUT OFF WHILE IN MOTION AND ALSO MAKING TURNS. I TOOK IT BACK TO THIS DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THAT THE ENGINE WENT OUT. ON JUNE 14,2016 THAT'S WHEN I GOT AN ENGINE REPLACED. I ASK IF IT WAS NEW OR USED AND THEY ASSURED ME THAT IT WAS A NEW ENGINE. HOWEVER KEEPING UP WITH OIL CHANGES, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED A TUNE UP DONE. SO I GOT MY SPARK PLUGS CHANGED. AFTER THAT THE CAR WOULD JUST CUT OFF WHILE IN MOTION AND ALSO TURNING. I TRIED DRIVING THE CAR TO WORK WHILE TURNING IT ON WHENEVER IT CUTS OFF. THE BRAKES GOT SO TIGHT ON ME THAT I HAD TO USE BOTH FEET TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I GOT THE CAR TOWED TO A CAR SHOP AND THEY STATED THAT THIS CAR HAD TO BE LOOKED AT BY A DEALERSHIP.SO I GOT THE CAR TOWED TO THE NEAREST CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS 4 THINGS WRONG WITH THIS CAR. IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT MY CAR OR KNOWING WHAT CAR IS MINE SHE SAYS NO ITS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL. SHE IS NOT A TECHNICIAN AND DOESN'T ACTUALLY KNOW THE CAUSE YET. THEY CALL LATER IN THE DAY AND TELL ME THE BODY CONTROL MODULE HAS SHORTED OUT AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT IS NO LONGER COMMUNICATING WITH THE TCM(THE TCM WAS UPDATED DURING RECALL WORK BUT THE BCM WAS NOT.) THE TWO CAN LONGER COMMUNICATE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOW BASICALLY SPEAKING A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE. OF COURSE I AM TOLD NOT RELATED TO RECALL. THE NEXT DAY I GET A CALL SAYING MY BATTERY THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY WORKING GREAT CAN NO LONGER PASS A TEST. SOMEONE WAS TRYING TO CRANK AND START MY CAR( THE CAR THAT WENT IN FOR A BREAK PEDDLE THAT WOULD NOT DEPRESS AND WOULD NOT START) I NOW NEED TO PAY FOR A NEW BATTERY AND THERE IS AN INSTALLATION FEE TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. NEXT DAY MY CARS STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS NO LONGER WORK AND SOMETHING ELSE HAS SHORTED OUT. MY RENTAL CAR NOT ONLY HAS TRASH IN THE BACK SEAT BUT A ROACH THAT CRAWLS OUT FROM IN BETWEEN THE SEATS. I GET A CALL THAT THE TECH WHO WORKED ON MY CAR FINISHED AT CLOSING TIME SO TO BRING BACK THE RENTAL NEXT DAY! I'M THINKING MY CAR WONT HAVE ANY MORE ISSUES, I'M WRONG!! THE MENU ON MY CAR LETS YOU VIEW THE TIRE PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURES OF THE VEHICLE. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE OIL TEMP DOESN'T DISPLAY. THE SETTING FOR MY DOORS TO BE UNLOCKED WITH THE HAND SENSOR ON DRIVER DOOR WONT WORK!

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

TOOK MY CAR INTO PRIVATE SHOP FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT 11967 MILES ON 7/29/2013. WAS TOLD THAT BOTH OF MY FRONT CALIPERS ARE LEAKING. TOOK TO NEARBY DODGE DEALER SO I COULD GET TO WORK ON TIME. THE SERVICE WRITER BLEW EXCUSES AT ME. "WELL THAT IS NOT A LEAK." LOOKING RIGHT AT THE DRIVER SIDE CALIPER I SAID OK THEN WHAT IS SEAPING FROM THAT CALIPER. AND HE CONTINUED SAYING THAT THIS NOT SOMETHING THE DEALER HAS SEEN AS A PROBLEM. THEY ENDED UP NOT RELEASING THE CAR TO ME BECAUSE OF THE BRAKE CALIPERS. I HAVE A RENTAL NOW. IN JANUARY 2015, I PURCHASED A 2015 CHRYSLER 200S FROM REEDMAN TOLL AUTO WORLD. I OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS AND IN MARCH, 2015 DURING A SNOWSTORM I WAS DRIVING IN THE VEHICLE WITH MY FIANCE AND 5 YEAR OLD SON. I WAS TRAVELING AT APPROX 30MPH IN BENSALEM, PA. THE VEHICLE LOCKED UP. THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED, NO POWER STEERING, NO ABS, NO TRACTION CONTROL, TRANSMISSION STOPPED ENGAGING. I HIT THE BRAKES AND SLIDE INTO AN INTERSECTION. I HAD MY FIANCE GET INTO THE DRIVERS SEAT AND I PUSH THE CAR OFF THE ROADWAY INTO A SIDE STREET. AT THAT TIME I WALKED MY FIANCE AND SON HOME APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE TO OUR APARTMENT. I THEN WALKED BACK TO THE DISABLED CAR. I WAITED FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS FOR A TOW TRUCK TO ARRIVE FROM CHRYSLER ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED INTO REEDMAN TOLL AUTO WORLD. WHEN THE CAR WAS LOOKED OVER IT WAS DEEM TO BE FINE AND I WAS TOLD TO PICK IT UP. I DID NOT DO THAT. I TOLD THEM I DIDNT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THAT VEHICLE ANY LONGER. SO THEN I SPOKE WITH THE GENERAL MANAGER OF REEDMAN'S AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD GET ME INTO A DIFFERENT VEHICLE. I WAS POORLY EDUCATED WITH MY OPTIONS BACK THEN AND I WANTED TO JUST GET A SAFE VEHICLE FOR MY FAMILY. SO I PURCHASED A 2015 CHRYSLER 200C. ON JANUARY 23TH, 2016 I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200C WITH MY FIANCE. I WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20MPH AND THE IDENTICAL SITUATION OCCURRED AGAIN. IT WAS 10 MONTHS AFTER MY LAST INCIDENT AND WITH A TOTALLY DIFFERENT VEHICLE. THIS TIME I CONTACTED CHRYSLER DIRECTLY. I STILL HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING FROM CHRYSLER. REEDMAN'S TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS SOME SNOW IN THERE AND THEY REMOVED THAT AND RE FLASHED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND NOW ITS "PERFECT". I FIND THIS TO BE REALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND UNSAFE. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THEY FORGOT TO DO SERVICE WORK ON THE CAR PREVIOUSLY AND THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED THAT THE CAR WOULD FEEL BETTER AFTER 250 MILES. I INFORMED HIM THAT THE CAR HAD 500 MILES AND HE STATED THAT IT SHOULD "FEEL SMOOTHER SOON." I TOOK THE CAR BACK UP TO MACK HAIK DODGE IN GEORGETOWN TX, WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND A MANAGER TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT AND I SHOULD LOOK FOR SOMETHING THAT I LIKED AND THEY WOULD HELP ME. THE SALES PERSON THAT WAS GOING TO "HELP" ME WAS SOMEONE THAT I MET AT ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHO TOLD ME THAT HIS WIFE HAD THE SAME CAR AND THAT HALF OF THEM CAME OUT WITH PROBLEMS AND THE OTHER HALF WAS FINE. HE STATED THAT I PROBABLY GOT ONE WITH PROBLEMS. HE STATED THAT THEY WERE EITHER GREAT OF HAD ISSUES. I AM NOW GOING TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP TO TRY AND HAVE THE RECALL FIXED. THE RECALL IS FOR THE PROBLEM THAT I HAVE BEEN TELLING THEM FOR A YEAR. AT ONE POINT THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX ANYTHING BECAUSE THEIR TRANSMISSION GUY WAS OUT ON SICK LEAVE. MY CAR HAS BEEN DANGEROUS SINCE I BOUGHT IT. IT HESITATES WHEN STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATOR ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN THE CAR STARTS OUT, IT LUNGES FORWARD AND FEELS LIKE A BUCKING HORSE. I WAS EMBARRASSED TO PUT PEOPLE IN MY CAR. I WORKED WITH A GOVERNMENT AGENCY THAT TRANSPORTED CHILDREN AND FELT TERRIFIED TO PLACE A CHILD IN MY CAR. MACK HAIK HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. THEIR SOLUTION FOR MY PROBLEM WAS TO PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR WITH A $200.00 DOLLAR MORE PAYMENT. I'VE BEEN SO FRUSTRATED THAT I CONSIDERED A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY. I SLOWED DOWN AT 15 MPH THE CAR WENT INTO PARK AND THE E-BRAKE WENT ON AND JERKED US ALL OVER THE CAR.

WHILE BACKING INTO A DRIVEWAY THE BRAKES MADE A LOUD SCREECH/GRINDING NOISE AND DID NOT STOP AS IT NORMALLY WOULD HAVE CAUSING ME TO ALMOST BACK INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. CHRYSLER HAS ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO RANDOMLY MAKE THIS SOUND AND FAIL TO STOP NORMALLY. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THAT THE BRAKES ARE PERFORMING NORMALLY AND BESIDES THE SCREECH THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE.

ON APRIL 9, 2015, WITH MY ENTIRE FAMILY IN THE CAR, WE SUFFERED A COMPLETE COMPUTER SHUTDOWN AT 55 MPH JUST FOUR MILES FROM MY HOME. I WAS ABLE TO GET MY CAR ALMOST OFF THE ROAD BEFORE IT COASTED TO A STOP. DURING THIS SHUTDOWN I WAS NOT ABLE TO STEER THE CAR, USE THE BRAKES, USE THE GAS, OR PULL SAFELY OFF THE ROAD. AFTER TUGGING THE SHIFTER NOB INTO PARK AND TRYING TO START THE CAR IT JUST MADE TERRIBLE CLICKING SOUNDS. THE SERVICE LIGHTS WOULD FLASH AND THE CAR WOULD SHAKE AS THE ENGINE WAS MAKING THESE LOUD CLICKING SOUNDS. I WAS NOT ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND WAS FORCED TO LEAVE IT WHERE IT SAT FOR THE TOW TRUCK TO ARRIVE. I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR 7 DAYS FROM THE TIME NEEDED TO GET THE PART AND HAVING TO WAIT FOR A RIDE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO PICK MY CAR UP. THE CAR CONTINUED TO SHIFT AT ODD TIMES AND IT STILL LUNGED WHEN PUT INTO PARK AND LIGHTS WOULD OCCASIONALLY FLASH ON DASHBOARD. I ASSUMED THAT THIS WAS DUE TO THE NEW 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION. ON JULY 23, 2015 AT 1:15PM MY CAR ONCE AGAIN SUFFERED A TOTAL SHUTDOWN IDENTICAL TO THE PREVIOUS ONE. THIS SITUATION WAS FAR MORE FRIGHTENING DUE TO MY SPEED AND LOCATION OF THE SHUTDOWN. I WAS TRAVELING AT 65MPH IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON I-26 IN NORTH CAROLINA. IF NOT FOR THE ALERT DRIVERS BEHIND ME I WOULD HAVE SUFFERED CATASTROPHIC INJURIES IF NOT DEATH DUE TO LOSING ALL SPEED AND STEERING ON A BUSY INTERSTATE.

ON A FEW OCCASIONS GOING DOWN HILL ON A HIGHWAY, THERE IS AN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. THEN THE TRANSMISSION WILL STALL INTO GEAR GOING DOWNHILL AS WELL. THE ENGINE WILL BE AT VERY HIGH RPM FOR THE SPEED I GO WHICH IS 45-50. OFTEN WHEN I BACK OUT IN REVERSE, THE BRAKES MAKE A HUMMING NOISE.

I WAS DRIVING ALONG A TWO LANE HWY DOING ABOUT 50-55MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON. I LOST THROTTLE CAPABILITY AND BASICALLY I WAS NOW COASTING ON A WINDY AND HILLY ROAD. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF AT A SAFE PLACE BEFORE I STOPPED. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK AND THOUGH THE SELECTOR STILL INDICATED "P" IT WAS REALLY IN NEUTRAL BECAUSE IF I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE MY CAR ROLLED BACKWARD. MY PARKING BRAKE WOULDN'T ENGAGE AT FIRST EITHER. I HELD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AS I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. AT THIS POINT I WAS CONCERNED I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO EXIT MY VEHICLE. AS I WAS TALKING WITH ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE I KEPT TRYING TO PUT THE CAR INTO PARK AND/OR ENGAGE THE PARKING BRAKE. FINALLY THE PARKING BRAKE WORKED AND I WAS ABLE TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE. I THEN DECIDED TO TRY TO RESTART THE CAR. WHEN I TURNED THE CAR OFF THE TRANSMISSION DEFAULTED TO PARK. SO NOW I WAS SAFE TO EXIT. ONCE THE CAR WAS RESTARTED THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. WAITED NEARLY 3 HOURS FOR A TOW.

ON MAY 3, 2015 WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WITH MY CHILDREN, THE CAR STALLED AND I LOST COMPLETE CONTROL OF ALL STEERING AND BRAKING FUNCTION. I IMMEDIATELY PLACED ON MY HAZARDS AS CARS SWERVED LEFT AND RIGHT TO AVOID SLAMMING INTO ME. I ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE CAR AND IT WOULDN'T RESTART. AFTER SITTING FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES, THE CAR FINALLY RESTARTED. AS I FINALLY STARTED TO GO, THE CAR WOULD ACCELERATE QUICKLY AND THEN SLOW DOWN. WITHIN 10 MINUTES, IT STALLED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING. IT DID THIS 2 MORE TIMES. SERVICE WAS CALLED AND THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP. THE NEXT DAY I RECEIVED A CALL THAT THE CAR WAS FIXED. I PICKED UP THE CAR AND DROVE IT FOR ONE DAY. DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON MAY 6, 2015, IT AGAIN STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH AS I LOST ALL STEERING AND BRAKING ABILITY. AGAIN, THE CAR WOULD NOT RESTART. SERVICE WAS CALLED AND TOOK THE CAR TO A DIFFERENT AUTHORIZED DEALER. I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY MAY 8TH THAT THE CAR WAS FIXED AND READY TO GO. I PICKED UP THE CAR AND DROVE HOME. BEFORE ARRIVING TO MY HOME, THE CAR STALLED AGAIN AND AGAIN I LOST ALL STEERING AND BRAKING ABILITY. SERVICE WAS CALLED ONCE MORE AND THE CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SHOP IT WENT TO THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED ON MAY 3. *TR

90% OF THE TIME WHEN IN REVERSE THE BRAKES GIVE A VERY LOUD GRINDING SORT OF SOUND AS IF METAL IS ON METAL. THE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE APPLIED ON THE BRAKES DOES NOT MATTER AS IT WILL HAPPEN EVEN WITH THE LIGHTEST OF PRESSURE. OWNED THIS VEHICLE 28 DAYS AND IT IS IN THE SHOP FOR A SECOND TIME ALREADY, FIRST REPAIR ATTEMPT WAS FOR THE SERVICE DEPT TO "BREAK IN THE BRAKES" WHICH I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF BEING NEEDED ON A NEW CAR AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT WAS CHRYSLER'S ENGINEERING'S RECOMMENDATION. THIS SOLVED THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE MOMENT THEY BROUGHT MY CAR AROUND IN THE SERVICE BAY IN WHICH IT RETURNED BUT SLIGHTLY SOFTER WHEN THE SERVICE MANAGER PUT IT IN REVERSE. OVER THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS IT WENT RIGHT BACK TO THE LOUD GRINDING SOUND AS BEFORE AND HAS CONTINUED. ON MY SECOND RETURN, A WEEK LATER, THE DEALERSHIP HAS ADMITTED TO 5 OTHER 200'S HAVING COME BACK WITH THE SAME ISSUE SO FAR SINCE MY FIRST REPAIR ATTEMPT. CAR IS IN THE SHOP ON ITS 4TH DAY THIS TIME AROUND AND STILL WAITING FOR A DEFINITE SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE. *TR
