REF. NHTSA PE13016 "FAULTY FUEL TANKS" MAKE: CHRYSLER; MODEL: 300 LIMITED; COMPONENT: FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM. EVERY TIME WE RE-FUEL THE CAR TO THE "FULL" LEVEL, THE CAR HESITATES AND STALLS. ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THIS STALLING HAS RESULTED IN AN POTENTIAL COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE BEING AVOIDED ONLY BY ASTUTE DRIVER INTERVENTION. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS IN SEPTEMBER 2015 AND HAS CONSISTENTLY REPEATED DURING EVERY REFUELING SINCE. NO RESEARCH OR ATTEMPT TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL. CHRYSLER CORPORATION HAS NO NOTIFICATION OF THIS PROBLEM BEING ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROVIDED VIN NUMBER AND STATES THAT THEY CAN DO NOTHING UNTIL SUCH A NOTICE IS RECEIVED. I AM REQUESTING YOUR INTERVENTION ON MY BEHALF BY NOTIFYING CHRYSLER CORPORATION OF THIS REPORTED AND KNOWN PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUE AND CONCERN WITH THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM. ONCE DOCUMENTED, I CAN ARRANGE TO HAVE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS MADE BEFORE ANY OTHER EMERGENCY SITUATIONS ARE EXPERIENCED THEREBY PREVENTING INJURY TO MY WIFE AND/OR MYSELF OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED IN A PREVENTABLE ACCIDENT. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT, BUT INFO FOR OTHER CHRYSLER OWNERS WITH THE FUEL FILL/STALLING PROBLEM. WE JUST RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CHRYSLER, TELLING US THEY HAVE ISSUED A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE COMPONENTS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND HAD OUR 2006 300 FIXED IN 2 DAYS! THE FUEL TANK AND INTERNAL VALVES WERE REPLACED AFTER REMOVING THE EXHAUST AND DRIVELINE. THE JOB TOOK 5-6 HOURS AND WE WERE NOT CHARGED A CENT! THE CAR IS AGAIN RUNNING VERY WELL WITHOUT STALLING. I PREVIOUSLY BROUGHT IT TO A MECHANIC WHO DID A TUNE UP, NEW SPARK PLUGS, AND EVEN REPLACED VALVE LIFTERS TO TRY TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, TO NO AVAIL. I FINALLY DID A GOOGLE SEARCH AND SEE THAT MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
