I informed the dealership of ignition switch recall shortly after purchasing vehicle. The dealership stated " the VIN number shows no recalls". And that was it said there nothing showing up. I KNOW ignition switch is messed up because every time I would turn the car off I could still feel it running. I've had my car a year and now it will not crank due to ignition switch and now fuel air intake is also messing up and has caused cylinder 6 to miss fire. I have been without a vehicle for a month now and I need it fixed. When test driving the car, it would slow down as I was turning into a place of business and almost getting hit by another vehicle.
When taking vehicle for test drive about a month ago, the check engine light was on and after driving it, i noticed when AC was on and when off, the car loses power. When i go to pull out it has no power and i almost got hit in the side every time i would pull out from a busy highway. They had check engine light looked at and they said computer told them it was air valve leak or something like that. I had appointment for them to further assist and they said they could not find anything wrong. I can hear where the valve might be leaking at. The brakes are not good. I had to put on the brakes today fast and brake pedal acted like they were gonna skid out from under my foot. Brakes are new so why is it acting like i have no brakes and there is barley any acceleration. Something is going on and i don't want to be in a car accident just because our warnings are being over looked.

DEALERSHIP CLAIMED THAT THE CAR OVERHEATED AND DAMAGED THE MOTOR, HOWEVER ACCORDING TO THE GAGE THE CAR NEVER RAN HOT.

CAR COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN ON US. NO HESITATION, NO WARNING JUST COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING, PARK, REVERSE OR AT STANDSTILL! HAVE TAKEN IT TO MECHANICS AND TO CHRYSLER 3 TIMES AND THE CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHY IT'S SHUTTING DOWN! THIS HAPPENS SEVERAL TIMES DAILY.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT ALL FOUR TIRES WERE ALSO REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INFORMED HER THAT THE DEALER SHOULD REIMBURSE HER FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.

WE FOUND A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN # CSN-L08. WE COMPLIED WITH SENDING ALL OF THE DOCUMENTATION PER THE SERVICE BULLETIN TO CHRYSLER AS INSTRUCTED. AFTER NOT HEARING ANYTHING FOR MORE THAN 60 DAYS AFTER SENDING THE DOCUMENTATION INTO CHRYSLER, WE CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WE WERE TOLD THAT THE REIMBURSEMENT WAS DENIED DUE TO SOME KIND OF SALES CODE. WHEN WE ASKED WHAT THAT WAS WE WERE NEVER TOLD AND KEPT BEING TOLD THE SERVICE BULLETIN WAS DENIED DUE TO A SALES CODE, BUT THEY WOULD NOT TELL US WHAT THAT WAS AND THERE IS NO SUCH SALES CODE MENTIONED ON ANY OF THE PAPERWORK AND THE SERVICE BULLETIN DOES NOT ADDRESS ANY SALES CODE. I HAVE A 5 YR. LOAN ON MY CAR AND CHRYSLER ASSURED ME THAT THIS ISSUE WOULD BE RESOLVED. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CHRYSLER MANUFACTURE CUSTOMER SERVICE/FIELD OPERATIONS IN AUGUST 2015 STATING THAT BOTH RECALL PARTS HAD COME IN AND I WAS TO CONTACT MY NEAREST DEALER. WELL, THE NHTSA 14V-567 AIRBAG HAD COME IN. IT HAS BEEN CORRECTED.THANK YOU, BUT ALTHOUGH THAT IS ALSO A SERIOUS ISSUE, WHAT IS GIVING ME A PROBLEM IS THE CUTOFF & START. MY FAMILY & I FEEL UNSAFE! ON 2/27/2014 I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREE WAY AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS POURING RAIN OUT, AND I HAD ZERO VISIBILITY ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAD TO PULL OVER ON TO THE SHOULDER, WHERE I WAITED APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GET MY WIPERS TO WORK AGAIN. ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK LATER THAT DAY, AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY ONCE AGAIN, MY CAR COMPLETELY TURNED OFF LEAVING ME STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREE WAY. I WAS ABLE TO GET MY CAR STARTED AND GET HOME SAFELY , ALTHOUGH I WAS TERRIFIED. TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER ON 3/1/2014. TECH STATED IT WAS A BAD WIPER MOTOR, PART REPLACED AND STILL WIPERS WILL NOT WORK. REPLACED FUSES AND RELAYS AS RECOMMENDED PER DEALER TECH, STILL WIPERS WILL NOT WORK I HAVE SPENT OVER 500$ IN THESE REPAIRS AND STILL MY WIPERS ARE NOT WORKING. NOW THE DEALER IS SAYING THAT I HAVE A BAD TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). HOWEVER, I AM UNABLE TO GET MY CAR FIXED SINCE THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER. APPARENTLY CHRSYLER HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR A WHILE NOW SINCE THE PART IS ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER. I BELIEVE CHRYSLER SHOULD RECALL ALL VEHICLES WITH A DEFECTIVE TIPM. THE DEALER HAS GIVEN ME AN ESTIMATE OF 1200$ FOR REPLACING THE TIPM. IT'S VERY AGGRAVATING SINCE NOW I MUST PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG SINCE NOT EVEN DEALERS KNOW WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER, DODGE OR JEEP PRODUCT AGAIN. AFTER DOING SOME EXTENSIVE RESEARCH, I HAVE FOUND THAT SEVERAL MODELS HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A DEFECTIVE SENSOR IN THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT MADE REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 69,206. ...UPDATED 03/07/14 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE PCM WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES, BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM WAS A BAD IGNITION COIL. FOUND THROUGH MORE TESTING. POSSIBLY WHEN THE TEMPERATURE OF THE ENGINE VARIED IT CREATED AN OPEN IN THE COIL CAUSING THE COIL TO HAVE ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE INTO THE WIRING HARNESS, WHICH WAS CAUSING THE PCM TO SHUT DOWN, RESET AND THEN STALL. I WAS STOP AT THE LIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGE, I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AND I HEARD A TERRIBLE NOISE THAT SOUND LIKE A FLAT TIRE. I QUICKLY PULL OFF THE ROAD AND FOUND OUT THE IT WAS MY RADIATOR AND RED FLUID WAS COMING OUT. I FOUND OUT LATER AT THE CHRYSLER DEALER REPAIR SERVICE THAT THE FANS HAD CAME A LOOSE AND PUNCTURE THE RADIATOR. HE STATED THAT SEVERAL OF THE SAME TYPE OF CAR HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE FANS COMING LOOSE AND PUNCTURING THE RADIATOR. THEIR SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THAT PART AND I SHOULD BE REFUNDED THE MONEY I HAD TO SPEND TO GET IT REPAIRED. *TR
