Car will buck/jerk at higher speeds, will also die at low speeds or idle, will fall on its face when trying full throttle, the oil light, check engine light, Limp mode will flash sometimes traction control, esp will flash most the time the 2 lights stay on Problem has been confirmed by 2 dealers. Puts my saftry at risk because engine will js die at 20mph i lose brakes and steering. Problem first appeared about the beginning of this year when my camshaft went out but wasn't showing a code for a month and a half then gave me a code since then ive had this problem Vehicle has not been inspected
car stalled after filling gas tank. I was driving through an intersection and had to stop for oncoming traffic, when the car stalled and would not immediately restart, it eventually did start after several panic moments of being stuck in the intersection while the light was changing to let opposite traffic proceed. It stalled 2 more times on the way home. Both times I was slowing the car down when this occurred. I have been fearful of driving this car again since this happened. I heard there was a recall from Chrysler for lifetime replacement of gas tank due to a possible control valve shutoff float failure. My vehicle has never had the gas tank or float replaced, but it does not show up for a recall when I enter VIN. What should I do?
There a problem with car stalling and dying because of power being lost to tcm because of tipm. Dealer had my car for 7 weeks and $1900 changing tcm and problems still exist. Didn't even make 10 miles from dealership. Very dangerous
While I was driving the car, the car stalled on me at a stop light, its a safety risk and could caused an accident at anytime, yes its available for inspection. Yes the problem has been reported and inspected by auto shop and dealership. No warning lights it just randomly happened while driving, while I was driving the check engine light popped up then disappeared and 2mintues later my car power was reduced and car shutoff at stoplight.
Yesterday I experienced an SUA incident and nearly lost my life. I was entering a freeway and began to accelerate my car. Suddenly I felt as if the gears kicked and the car began to accelerate on its own to max revolutions. I pressed down on the brakes to see if it would stop and there was heavy resistance. I took my foot on the break and the car began to accelerate and rev completely on its own and the engine felt as if it was going to explode. I luckily was able to jam my foot on the break and pull over to the emergency lane and eventually come to a full stop. From there I put the car in park and removed my foot from the break pedal. Again the car began to jump to full revs with the engine screaming. I turned the car off and on several times and this continued to happen. After waiting one hour I was able to start the car and drive 20 mph back to my home and I will have it towed to a repair shop shortly. If I panicked or was not strong enough to press down on the brake pedal, the car would have accelerated to full speed and I certainly would have died and likely other people would have too.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300C. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle occasionally lost motive power. The contact stated that the failure also occurred while the vehicle was idle. After each failure, the contact was able to restart the vehicle after several seconds. The vehicle had been taken to several dealers and independent mechanics for diagnostic testing however, the mechanics were unable to determine the cause of the failure. Several unknown repairs were made, and several parts were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact researched and found that similar vehicles were experiencing failure. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000.

MY 2006 CHRYSLER 300C 5.7L STARTING STALLING AFTER FILLING THE TANK AND HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORST. MY CAR NOW STOPS WHILE IDLE, AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS, AND HAS EVEN STOP WHILE MAKING A TURN INTO TRAFFIC. I HAVE TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP WHO HAS TRIED TO CHARGE ME LABOR TO INVESTIGATE THE PROBLEM (THOUSANDS) BUT, ULTIMATELY CLAIM THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. AFTER RESEARCH, I HAVE FOUND THAT THEIR ARE THOUSANDS OF OWNERS WITH MY MAKE AND MODEL HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I ALSO FOUND THAT CHRYSLER'S SOLUTION IS TO CHANGE THE GAS TANK, WHICH THEY CLAIM SHOULD FIX THE ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP CHANGED THE TANK UNDER THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THIS HAS NOT FIXED THE STALLING PROBLEM. AFTER DOING MORE RESEARCH I FOUND THAT CHRYSLER DID A RECALL ON THIS SAME STALLING ISSUE FOR THE PACIFICA MINI VAN, BUT DID NOT INCLUDE MY MAKE AND MODEL. THE ISSUES ARE FOUND IN 2005-2006 CHRYSLER 300C HEMI 5.7L ENGINES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS DANGEROUS ISSUE HAS GONE SO LONG WITHOUT A RECALL. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED BY STALLING WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. MEANWHILE MY CAR STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED.

WHILE ON A CURVY ROAD AFTER DARK, AT 45 MPH, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHUT DOWN, DASH LIGHTS FLASHED AND WENT OFF, ENGINE DIED. 40 MPH ON A CURVY ROAD WITH NO LIGHTS. AFTER 20 SECONDS IT ALL CAME BACK ON. HAD NO PROBLEMS FOR 3 MONTHS. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS MOMENTARILY SHUT DOWN ON 4 OTHER OCCASIONS SINCE THEN. ON 12/08/15 MY WIFE WAS IN LINE AT THE DANDRIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PICKING UP MY GRANDSON. WHILE IN CAR PICKUP LINE WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE, THE DASH LIGHTS CAME ON, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED (SURGED FORWARD) THEN DIED. ENGINE DIED 5 TIMES BEFORE SHE COULD GET IT HOME. THIS WOULD BE CALLED A NEAR MISS ACCIDENT IN A WORKPLACE SETTING.CAR IS OPERATING NORMALLY AT THIS TIME. I HELD AN ASE MASTER TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION AND IN MY OPINION IT IS A DANGEROUS ELECTRICAL CONDITION. I REALIZE THAT SOMEONE MUST DIE IN ORDER TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED AND THAT IS A SHAME.

THE SECOND DEALERSHIP CHANGED MY FUEL TANK THAT CHRYSLER GAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON. IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR IS STILL STALLING AT EVERY STOP I MAKE. I THINK THE PROBLEM ISN'T WITH THE FUEL TANK BECAUSE IT DID NOT FIX THE STALLING ISSUE. I THINK THAT ITS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WIRING OR COMPUTER. I ALSO THINK THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP. THEY SAID IT WAS THE GAS TANK BUT ITS CLEARLY NOT. WHY SHOULD I BE PAYING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR A FAULTY PROBLEM THAT ISNT MY FAULT. I TAKE CARE OF MY CAR AND ITS ONLY GOT 140,000KM ON IT. CHRYSLER TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD COST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIND THE PROBLEM. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO. I THINK THAT CHRYSLER SAID IT WAS THE FUEL TANK BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE A CHEAPER WAY TO HANDLE WITH THIS ISSUE OTHER THEN SPENDING HOURS TO FIND THE PROBLEM. IN DEC, 2013 THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL AT OTHER TIMES. I HAD BETWEEN 1/4 TO 1/2 IN THE TANK WHEN WE WERE DRIVING AT APPROX 45MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL THEN RESTART AT FIRST. THEN IT STALLED ENTIRELY SEVERAL TIMES THAT EVENING AS WE TRIED TO MAKE IT HOME. I HAD MY 2 DAUGHTERS AND 2 GRANDDAUGHTERS WITH ME AT THE TIME. THE NEXT MORNING I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LOCAL DLR, LEE CHRYSLER, WERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE STALLED ON ME 3 TIMES WHILE I WAS TRYING TO MAKE IT THE 3 MILES. THE DEALER HAD THE CAR UNTIL 12-16-2013 WHEN THEY ADVISED THAT THE PROPORTIONAL VALVE/PURGE VALE NEEDED REPLACED AND THAT ALL OF THE UPDATES TO THE SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE MADE. THE TOTAL OF THIS ATTEMPT TO REPAIR WAS $379.45. THE CAR IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO STALL AGAIN SO I RETURNED IT. THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS WITH THEIR COMPUTER HOOKED UP TO IT THEN ADVISED THAT THE PCM NEEDED REPLACED THIS REPAIR COST A TOTAL OF $1,018.61. THE CAR WAS ON EMPTY SO HE OFFERED TO STOP FOR GAS. HE FILLED THE TANK UP THEN PULLED OUT TO 5 LANES OF TRAFFIC AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART FOR SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY WRECKER AFTER THE VEHICLE. THEY HAD THE CAR FOR ONE NIGHT AND CALLED US TO PICK UP AND RUN THE GAS OUT TO 1/4TANK. WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD NOT STALL AGAIN BECAUSE THEY HAD DISCONNECTED THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM. WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR ON A VERY BUSY 7 LANE HWY WITH MY DAUGHTER AND 3 MONTH OLD GRANDDAUGHTER THE CAR CAME TO A DEAD STOP IN 40MPH TRAFFIC. THEN, THEY CLEARED THE CODES, ROAD TESTED THE CAR, BUT COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER RETURNED THE CAR AND ASKED ME TO MONITOR IT. THEY INDICATED THAT IF THE ISSUE RE-OCCURS, THE VEHICLE WILL POSSIBLY NEED A PCM OR IGNITION SWITCH. MY IMPRESSION IS THAT THEY ARE GUESSING AT WHAT THE ISSUE MAY BE. THE DAY AFTER THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO ME, THE SAME SUDDEN STALLING/LOSS OF POWER ISSUES RECURRED ALTHOUGH THE ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC LIGHT HAS NOT COME ON. I WILL BE RETURNING THE CAR TO THE DEALER, EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PINPOINT THE PROBLEM TO DATE. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE SUDDEN STALLING AND LOSS OF POWER. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT CAN RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. I AM MARRIED WITH A 9 MONTH OLD BABY. *TR

MOST OF THE TIME, THE ENGINE WILL STALL AT A STOP WITH ALL GAUGES DROPPING TO ZERO. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING DOWN THE ROADWAY. ENGINE DOES NOT START SMOOTHLY. MOST TIMES IT TAKES AT LEAST TWO ATTEMPTS TO START IT. SOMETIMES UPON RESTART THE GAUGES REMAIN AT ZERO. UPON START, ENGINE WILL RUN FOR A BRIEF TIME AND WILL RUN MAYBE 1 BLOCK OR SO BEFORE STALLING AGAIN. IT WILL RUN WITHOUT INCIDENT UNTIL THE NEXT EPISODE. THERE MAY BE A SPREAD OF 3 TO 4 WEEKS BETWEEN INCIDENTS. SOMETIMES THE ENGINE SPEED JUMPS UP WITHOUT ACCELERATOR INPUT MAKING THE CAR LEAP FORWARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED ONCE TO ME. SOMETIMES WHEN THE ENGINE IS RESTARTED AND PUT INTO GEAR, THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT ENGAGE IMMEDIATELY, BUT AFTER A VERY BRIEF DELAY CAUSING A "JUMP" INTO GEAR WHEN IT DOES ENGAGE. THE ESP BAS LIGHT COMES ON A MAJORITY OF THE TIME THIS HAPPENS. SOMETIMES THE GAUGES ALL DROP TO ZERO WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING. ALMOST ALWAYS, I CAN FEEL IN THE RUNNING OF THE ENGINE THAT SOMETHING IS NOT QUITE (ALMOST IMPERCEPTIVE MISSING) RIGHT BEFORE THIS HAPPENS. I TOOK THE CAR TO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY AFTER THIS HAPPENED AND ASKED THEM TO READ THE CODES. THEY TOLD ME MANY CODES HAD BEEN RECORDED. *TR

VEHICLE STALLED ONCE WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 20 MILES AN HOUR THEN ONCE WHILE STARTING FROM A STOP SIGN, IT SHUT OFF ALL SYSTEMS. *TR

OUR 2006 CHRYSLER 300C DIES AFTER FUELING THE GAS TANK TO FULL. IT HAS DIED IN INTERSECTIONS WERE WE HAVE ALMOST BEEN RUN INTO AND IN TURNS WHERE IS LOCKS UP AND THERE IS NO POWER ANYTHING AND HAVE ALMOST CRASHED. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND CONTINUOUSLY PAY MONEY TO FIX WHAT THEY THINK IT IS AND NOW FOR THE THIRD TIME THEY ARE ASKING FOR ALMOST 1800 DOLLARS TO REPLACE THE TANK. I CAN DEFINITELY SEE HOW THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM AND A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. *TR

IN DEC 09 MY CAR BEGAN TO STALL AT LOW SPEEDS SUCH AS APPROACHING LIGHTS AND MAKING TURNS. I TOOK IT INTO MY LOCAL DEALER THAT HAS PERFORMED ALL WORK ON MY CAR AND THEY SAID IT WAS A COMPUTER UPDATE. IN JUNE 2010 MY CAR STARTED DOING THE SAME THING - CUTTING OFF AT SLOW SPEEDS AND MAKING TURNS. I TOOK IT IN ONCE AGAIN AND THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM SO THEY HAD NO FIX FOR IT. I RESEARCHED THROUGH FORUMS AND FOUND MANY OTHER CHRYSLER 300 OWNERS THAT COMPLAIN OF THE SAME ISSUE, YET NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING IT. AT THAT POINT I WENT TO THE SERVICE MANAGER BECAUSE I JUST COULD NOT DRIVE MY CAR AWAY KNOWING THE DANGERS OF IT STALLING IN TRAFFIC AND NOT CRANKING. HE MADE SOME CALLS AFTER LOOKING AT THE INFORMATION THAT I HAD FOUND IN MY RESEARCH AND DECIDED TO CHANGE THE IGNITION COILS TO SEE IF THAT MAY ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM. I PICKED MY CAR UP APPROXIMATELY THE END OF JUNE 2010 AFTER 2 WEEKS OF BEING IN THE SHOP AND BEING ADVISED THAT THE PROBLEM MAY NOT BE RESOLVED AS THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE ISSUE WAS EXACTLY AND ALTHOUGH MY WARRANTY EXPIRES IN JULY, THEY WOULD STILL HONOR IT IF THE STALLING OCCURS AGAIN. ON AUG 24,2010 IT STALLED ONCE AGAIN AT AN INTERSECTION AND WOULD NOT CRANK BACK UP THIS TIME. I HAD IT PUSHED OUT OF THE LINE OF TRAFFIC AND TOWED TO THE DEALER ONCE AGAIN - WARRANTY EXPIRED THIS TIME OF COURSE - THEY ARE NOW SAYING IT CANNOT BE THE SAME ISSUE BECAUSE THIS TIME IT DID NOT CRANK BACK UP, WHICH I AM WORKING WITH CHRYSLER ON THIS ISSUE, BUT, SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE CHRYSLER FIND THE ISSUE THAT IS CAUSING THIS STALLING AS IT CAN BECOME A TRAGEDY IF IT SHOULD STALL IN THE LINE OF TRAFFIC AND AFTER ALL THE RESEARCH I DID - ITS OBVIOUS THAT IT IS A PROBLEM WITH AT LEAST THIS MAKE AND MODEL BECAUSE I FOUND MANY WHO COMPLAINED OF THE EXACT SAME THING WITH NO ONE BEING ABLE TO EXPLAIN WHY IT IS HAPPENS OR ANY REMEDY TO FIX IT. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY CHRYSLER IS NOT MAKING THIS MORE PUBLIC CONSIDERING THE DANGERS OF IT. *TR

ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS BEGIN FLASHING ON AND OFF, AND THE INSTRUMENT GAUGES WON'T WORK (SPEEDOMETER, FUEL LEVEL, ETC), AND THE HEADLIGHTS TAIL LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS STOP WORKING. *TR

I HAVE A 2006 CHRYSLER 300 C, THAT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR SERVICE 3-4 TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE. THE PSI LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY ON, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATES THAT IT HAS TO DO WITH THE SENSORS OF THE TIRES. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE WITH THE DEALER, BUT TO NO AVAIL. IT HAS TO BE A MANUFACTURES DEFECT. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? I PAY A $749 CAR NOTE A MONTH AND IT SEEMS THAT EVERY OTHER MONTH MY CAR IS IN THE SHOP FOR THE SAME ISSUE. PLEASE ADVISE.
