WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH THERE WAS A LOUD CLANKING SOUND, ENGINE REVVED. STEPPED ON GAS, ENGINE DIED. TRIED TO RESTART VEHICLE, WOULD NOT START. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, WHO FOUND DISTRIBUTOR HAD GONE OUT.*AK *JB
WHILE DRIVING ACCELERATOR PEDAL STICKS ,CAUSING LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. *AK THE VEHICLE'S RPM RACES UP AND DOWN WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE. WHEN BRAKE IS RELEASED, THE VEHICLE GOES FORWARD ON ITS OWN. THE A/C FAILED. THE TRANSMISSION REVS AND APPEARS IT'S GOING TO BLOW UP. THE DEALER TRIED TO FIX ALL OF THE ABOVE. SOME OF IT TWICE OR MORE.
STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND VEHICLE STARTED TO IDLE VERY ROUGHLY. GAVE IT GAS AND DIDN'T WANT TO GO. ALSO, HAD TO HAVE THE WHOLE DISTRIBUTOR REPLACED DUE TO A DEFECTIVE PART. THE WIRES WERE BURNED FROM THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP. CONTACTED DEALER, AND HE DID THE NECESSARY REPAIRS.
SEVERAL TIMES WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, AT A SPEED OF ABOUT 5 TO 10 MILES PER HOUR, AS I WAS PUSHING DOWN THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE ENGINE WOULD SUDDENLY INCREASE ITS SPEED. IN ORDER TO STOP I HAD TO APPLY A GREAT DEAL OF PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE, OR PUT THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL. IN A FEW SECONDS THE ENGINE SPEED WOULD DECRASE ON ITS OWN. I DID NOT HAVE MY FOOT ON THE GAS WHILE I WAS BRAKING.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING THE VEHICLE JUST STOPPED AND WOULD'NT START BACK UP. CONTACTED DEALER, AND THEY DETERMINED THE IAC MOTOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE STARTED HAVING MORE PROBLEMS, AND NOW THEY ARE REPLACING THE ENGINE. *AK
AFTER AUTOMOBILE WAS IDLING FOR ABOUT 2 -3 MINUTES CONSUMER PUT AUTOMOBILE INTO DRIVE AND HIT THE GAS PEDAL LIGHTLY THEN IT TOOK OFF-IN A RUNAWAY EPISODE, CAUSING CONSUMER TO LOSE CONTROL AND RESULTING IN A CRASH. *AK
AFTER PUTTING THE VEHICLE INTO REVERSE, THE THROTTLE STUCK, VEHICLE LOST CONTROL, SLAMMED INTO A TREE AND INTO A DITCH, RESULTING IN INJURIES. *AK
CRUISE CONTROL FAILED.
WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH DOWNHILL THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED AND THE ENGINE REVOLUTIONS INCREASED. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED.
OWNER STATES WHILE STARTING VEHICLE IN THE MORNING THE ENGINE RACES, OWNER ALSO NOTES THAT THE VEHICLE WILL NOT IDLE DOWN, DEALERS CANNOT LOCATE PROBLEM. *AK

DURING A ROAD TRIP THE CONSUMER HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF IN ORDER TO TURN THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF. PLEASE GIVE MORE DETAILS.*AK
