CONSUMER STATES THAT FUEL LEAKS INTO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. CONSUMER IS CONCERNED THAT THE VEHICLE WILL CATCH ON FIRE. *AK

(SEE YOUR NUMBER 98V184OOO) IN MAY OF 2000 I DETECTED A LEAK FROME MY ENGINE. AT THAT TIME MY MECHANIC FOUND A LEAK FROM THE INJECTOR O RINGS AND ONE INJECTOR. HE REPLACED THE O RINGS AND THE INJECTOR. NOW THIS WEEK I DETECTED ANOTHER FUEL LEAK FROM MY ENGINE. THIS TIME, ON 01/12/2001, MY MECHANIC FOUND ANOTHER LEAKING INJECTOR, AND REPLACED THIS AND ALL THE OTHER ORIGINAL INJECTORS. SINCE THIS IS THE SAME DEFECT AS 98V18400 FOR THE CHRYSLER 3.5L EIGINE , I BELIEVE MY CAR SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. R RING AND REPLACED ALL THE FOUND ANOTHE O RING LEAKING AND MY
AFTER SEEING RECALL ON INTERNET I TOOK AUTO TO LOCAL DEALER FERMAN CHRYSLER, NPR<FL WITH NOTICE SAID THEY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT AND HAD NO PARTS THO SHOWED HIM PRINTOUT ABOUT THE RECALL. NEVER RECEIVED LETTER FROM MFR. MOTOR MOUNT HAS BEEN BANGING SINCE AROUND SEPT. AND CHUGGING HAD A TUNEUP TO FIX AND FERMAN CHGD ME 153. TO FIX SPARKPLUG FIT AND WROTE ON FORM THAT MY MOTOR MOUNT WAS SHAKING WITHOUT ATTEMPT TO FIX. SVCMAN EXTREMELY RUDE SAID HE DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO CHECK BRAKES & I WAS HOLDING UP THE LINE (MY APPT. WAS AT 9 AM I WAS THERE ON TIME) SAID HE MIGHT TAKE A LOOK AROUND NOON IF THEY COULD (I HAD TO LEAVE IT OVERNITE )IF I HAVE ADDITIONAL DAMAGE FROM THIS MOTOR MOUNT THING ARE THEY RESPONSIBLE?? I REPORTED THE SVC REP TO THE MGR WHO WAS NICE BUT STILL NO FIX!!!! UI T TO I. *AK
3 OF THE ENGINE MOUNTS BROKE, LEAVING INSUFFICIENT SUPPORT FOR THE ENGINE. DEALER SAID ENGINE MOUNTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK

EXPERIENCE BELT TENSIONER FRACTURE. TT THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE CAUSED BY THE SERPENTINE BELT RUBBING ON THE BRAKE LINE, FORTUNATELY CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING AT A SLOW SPEED AND THE FRACTURE WAS NOT SEVERRE ENOUGH TO LOSE POWER STEERING. *SLC
