TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS RANDOMLY FLASHED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED FOR YEARS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS AND HE HAD TO APPLY FORCE EACH TIME THE FAILURE HAPPENED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 96V099000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THREE DIFFERENT DEALERS WHO PROVIDED VARIOUS DIAGNOSTICS AND REPAIRS, WHICH DID NOT PREVENT THE FAILURE. THE CHECK ENGINE AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS STILL HARD TO DEPRESS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO PERMANENT REMEDY FOR THE CONDITION. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

THE ABS PUMP WENT OUT ON THE VEHICLE ON AUGUST 30, 2013. IT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALER SINCE SEPTEMBER 4, 2013. I HAVE INFORMATION STATING THAT THE PUMP IS COVERED UNDER A LIFETIME WARRANTY AND CHRYSLER CORPORATION HAS GIVEN ME THE RUN AROUND ON IT SAYING THAT IT DOES NOT MEAN LIFETIME SINCE IT FAILED AGAIN AFTER THE ORIGINAL RECALL REPAIR. I AM SORRY BUT I THOUGHT LIFETIME MEANT LIFETIME ACCORDING TO THE DOCUMENTS THAT I HAVE AND READ. THEY REFUSE TO PROVIDE ME WITH AN ALTERNATE CAR TO DRIVE SO I CAN GET TO WORK STATING THAT IS NOT COVERED EITHER. THEY ARE THE POOREST EXCUSE OF A BUSINESS THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND TELL YOU SOMETHING DIFFERENT WITH EACH CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE YOU SPEAK TO.
