We received multiple reminders for the recalls to be addressed, but each time we make an appointment at various service centers, they say that they cannot address the recall due to staff shortage and parts not being available. This has been persisting for over 4 years. Chrysler does not make a good faith effort to address these recalls. Most recently, we had an appointment and they (Spring Autonation in Spring, TX) told us that they would have to hold the car for weeks before being able to get to it due to shortage of staff as they only have two service members who can address it. Helfman Dodge said they holding time would be 3-4 weeks before being able to get to it. Teh reminders for the three recalls are coming from the dealerships, and yet they are not able to address them.
UNKNOWN/RECALL NOT BEING FIXABLE FOR MONTHS: due to a recall from mid-2024 which cannot be fixed, the vehicle is no longer safe to have parked in my garage, near my home, next to other vehicles, and is now not able to be used as intended. The risk of fire and/or explosion should require a manufacturer buyback. These vehicles have been dangerous for MONTHS.
We had put a ladder on the roof of our van to return to Home Depot, and I opened our rear gate. I didn't know it at the time, but the van's rear gate could not open all the way at the top because of the ladder, which hung a few inches over the top of the gate. Because I didn't know the ladder was in the way, when the rear gate opened, I bent over inside the van with my small dog to put her in her crate. Immediately, I heard the warning beeper start to go off, but before I could move out of the way, the gate came zooming down fast on my head and I had to squeeze to the size and fell into my driveway bushes trying to get out of the way. Thankfully, neither I nor my dog were harmed, but we could have both been seriously injured or killed. I have no idea why a rear gate would descend so fast or not sense that I and my dog were present.
Loss of Motive Power reoccurrences (2 incidents) AFTER 1803A182 Safety Recall 03A correction was performed, 9 May 2023, by reprogramming Hybrid Control Processor/Aux Hybrid Control Processor on 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid (mileage: 35,180) Experienced a sudden loss of power twice; 16 and 17 September 2023. - 16 SEPTEMBER: Having just merged into one lane from two and speeding up hill (from approx. 20 mph) to merge onto highway, a sudden loss of power occurred without an adequate shoulder to pull off, resulting in time critical crash avoidance maneuvers by all vehicles behind us. No known crashes occurred within our viewing range. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Unable to shut down vehicle for 2-3 minutes Check Engine Light illuminated Dash Diagnostic screen: “Service Charging System” error Electric Power available: 56% Fuel: 3/8th) - 17 SEPTEMBER: After running a preliminary diagnostic test with my personal OBD tester, I noticed that the Check Engine Light turned off after the connection activated. I did NOT clear any codes. After printing the list of faults generated from the evening prior, I chose to take it for a short test drive. While waiting at a stop light within a mile from my house, the same issue occurred again, “Service Charging System” error followed by two additional alternating notification on the dash, “Service Shifter” error and “Service Shifter Stop Safely Shut Off Vehicle to Engage Park,” with the transmission indicator selector knob lost illumination and became non-responsive. (as seen in attached pictures from previous incidents) Luckily, everyone was stopped this time. Within 20-30 seconds, the entire vehicle, including dashboard went completely dead then blipped back on as if nothing had happened, allowing me to make it home safely.
Hood has rusted throughout most of the entire hood UNDER the paint. no accident has occurred , but extremely concerned hood may break apart and crash into windshield and cause a severe dangerous accident. Other vehicles of this kind may have same serious problem.
Driving on the Highway with my entire family of 6 people (with 2 young kids) and my Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid 2019 suddenly stops. When I press the accelerator the vehicle doesn't respond. When I shut it off, wait for a couple of minutes and turn it on again, it gives an error saying service charging system. I had to shut it down on the highway and get it towed to the nearest dealer. I see several customer complaints with the same issue. I also see a NTHSA investigation of the same :- https://www.autoevolution.com/news/nhtsa-investigates-transmission-issue-affecting-chrysler-pacifica-phev-194678.html This is a fairly new vehicle (~40000 miles) with full service and maintenance done. Last month I took it for service at Chrysler dealership and they did service with 20 point inspection and no one identified or mentioned anything wrong with the vehicle.
The car keeps running even after the ignition is turned off emitting poisonous carbon monoxide in the garage and into the home. This is a safety hazard to my kids and family. And similar issue has been reported by many Pacifica Chrysler customers and the company is ignoring them all. The car keeps starting the engine every two to three minutes and consuming all the gas and there is no way for me to turn this off. Ideally my engine is off and it should not run but the car engine starts automatically.
A VEHICLE FIRE MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY TO OCCUPANTS AND PERSONS OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, AS WELL AS PROPERTY DAMAGE PER THE SAFETY RECALL LETTER I RECEIVED FROM CHRYSLER. 12-VOLT ISOLATOR POST CONNECTION SAFETY ISSUE. NO REMEDY IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.

THE RADIO DOES NOT HOLD ANY PRESETS AFTER YOU CHANGE DRIVERS. SO WHEN DRIVER ONE(1) HAS THE SEAT, MIRRORS, RADIO, ETC SET FOR THEM ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS PRESS "1" WHEN THEY GET IN, AND "2" IS PRESENTLY SET. IT SHOULD HOLD SO WE DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT EVERY TIME YOU GET IN.THIS IS NOT WHAT HAPPENS, I HAVE TO RESET THINGS BECAUSE IT IS LOST AND GOES BACK TO FACTORY SETTINGS. CHRYSLER KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEY HAVE NO FIX. I WOULD LIKE MY COMPUTER SYSTEM REPLACED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. THEY SAID I HAVE TO WAIT FOR AN UPDATE, THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE WITH. *TR
THE SLIDING DOORS AND THE TRUNK DOOR OPENED AT THE SAME TIME WHEN NO DOOR/TRUNK OPEN BUTTONS WERE PRESSED. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IT HAPPENED. FIRST TIME IN THE CHRYSLER SHOWROOM AND 2ND AT A PARKING LOT, BOTH TIME WHEN THE CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION. THE CAR WAS STARTED, REVERSE GEAR WAS APPLIED AND ALL THE SLIDING AND TRUNK DOORS OPENED AT THE SAME TIME WITH PASSENGERS INSIDE.
LANE SENSE BEHAVES ERRATICALLY IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES; ALERTS LOUDLY AND REQUEST HANDS BE PLACED ON THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY ON THE WHEEL AND AM TRAVELING SAFELY WITHIN A LANE; NO LANE CHANGES. HAS ALERTED IN DRIVEWAY AS WELL AND ALERTED FOR SERVICE. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT REPLICATED OR DETERMINE PROBLEM. THEY PROVIDED INFORMATIONAL FLYER ON LANE SENSE BUT IT DOES NOT MATCH REPORTED CONDITIONS/ALERTS I RECEIVED ON AUTO'S CONSOLE. CONSISTENTLY FAILS AND BEHAVES ERRATICALLY GOING NORTHBOUND ON GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE - IN ALL LANES AND ON MULTIPLE OCCURRENCES. OCCURS IN VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS FROM FOG, CLEAR DAY, RAIN, ETC. OCCURS IN MOTION AND WHEN CAR HAS BEEN STILL/STOPPED (IN DRIVEWAY.) SYSTEM ALERTS AND THEN AUTOMATICALLY DEACTIVATES ITSELF. I DON'T KNOW THAT MANUFACTURER AND DEALERS HAVE FULL UNDERSTANDING OF BEHAVIOR; ESPECIALLY THE DETECTION OF WHAT THE CAR BELIEVES ARE NO HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL/FEEDBACK TORQUE.

PACIFICA HYBRID, TWO INCIDENTS: FIRST WAS ON FREEWAY, FAST LANE, DRIVING NORMALLY WITH ACTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. THE CAR SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN ALL ACCELERATION AND SLOWED. I WAS ABLE TO PRESS THE BRAKE AND STOP. THE FRONT CONSOLE LIT UP WITH MANY WARNINGS INCLUDING THE FRONTAL COLLISION WARNINGS. I WAS NOT CLOSE TO CAR IN FRONT OF ME BUT A MOTORCYCLE HAD SPLIT LANE PASSED ME VERY CLOSELY AND CUT IN. I HAD TO POWER OFF MY CAR AND START IT TWICE BEFORE IT WOULD GO FORWARD. I TOOK CAR FOR SERVICE, CHRYSLER DEALER FOUND NOTHING WRONG, REPLACED A COMPUTER MODULE, GAVE IT BACK. LESS THAN ONE WEEK LATER, THE CAR AGAIN SUDDENLY LOST ACCELERATION AND BRAKED. SAME LARGE SET OF WARNINGS APPEARED. BUT THIS TIME THE CAR DIDN'T ALLOW ME TO PRESS THE BRAKES. I WAS TRAVELING ON CITY STREETS LESS THAN 30 MPH BUT HAD LOST ALL ACCELERATION AND BRAKING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUED TO ROLL INTO AN INTERSECTION AT ABOUT 7MPH. THE BRAKE PEDAL LITERALLY PUSHED BACK AGAINST MY FOOT. I GAVE IT BACK TO CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP WHERE IT'S BEEN EVER SINCE. CAR HAS 1100 MILES ON IT PURCHASED JULY 14TH, REGISTRATION ON 7/16. APPROXIMATELY 300 MILES OF THE CAR WAS THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT TRYING TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. NOW CHRYSLER CORPORATE CARES IS TELLING ME IT'S STILL UNDER DIAGNOSIS (CAR HASN'T EVEN BEEN TURNED ON IN MORE THAN 10 DAYS) AND THAT THE ONLY WAY I WOULD GET RESOLUTION IS THROUGH ARBITRATION "A FREE SERVICE". MY VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY WAITING FOR CHRYSLER STAR (HIGHEST LEVEL ENGINEERING) TO EVEN GET TO THE CASE. I WANTED TO REPORT THE SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE RESOLUTION STEPS FOR PEOPLE TO FOLLOW BUT UNFORTUNATELY I CAN'T. CHRYSLER MIGHT EVEN TRY TO GIVE THIS VEHICLE BACK TO ME AGAIN (WHICH I DON'T WANT). NOTE: DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN VERY STAND-UP. THE PROBLEM IS CHRYSLER CORPORATE.

THE HANDS-FREE AND BLUETOOTH FEATURE OF MY RADIO STOPPED WORKING 3 MONTHS AGO. I HAVE BEEN IN TO CHRYSLER SERVICE IN FORT COLLINS FIVE TIMES TO HAVE IT FIXED. THE LAST TIME WAS TWO WEEKS AGO AND THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO JUST ORDER A NEW RADIO. I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM. THE SERVICE MANAGER, BOB LEE, SAYS IT'S CHRYSLER'S FAULT. I JUST WANT THIS THING FIXED. 3 MONTHS IS JUST RIDICULOUS. THIS IS AS MUCH A SAFETY PROBLEM AS IT IS AN INCONVENIENCE.
