The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle turned off independently but was able to be restarted. Additionally, the vehicle was difficult to start. The vehicle was taken to an independent shop, where the PCM was reprogrammed and an unknown fuel injector repair was performed; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, the vehicle shut off independently but was able to be restarted. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the dealer for the recall repair of NHTSA Campaign Number: 06V432000 (Power Train), the dealer informed the contact that the equipment and parts to do the recall repair were not available after the vehicle had remained at the dealer for two days. The contact stated that several other dealers were contacted and provided the same information. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 94,791.

I got in the car started it as usual, shifted it in (D), pulled out of my church parking lot, got about 5 miles away from my church stopped at a red light. The light turned green I accelerated as usual. At this light is a slight incline about 15% ways up the incline it just stopped pulling. I pressed the gas heat the engine Rev but no power to the wheels. So I shifted it in auto stick mode and it wouldn’t change out of second gear I left it on the highway for about 3 days.I went back trying to reset the trans by turning the switch on and holding the gas pedal for 30sec as seen in Chryslers forum and YouTube yet still no power had the car towed back to Alabama when I go to church in Tennessee which was about 50 miles away or so. Get it home after paying a huge towing bill. Because my insurance only covered like 15miles. I got it home try to shift it in R, D, and The Autostick. however, it finally started going back to 1st gear. Unfortunately it still wouldn’t pull. I’ve looked up the problem and there is a recall for this, However when I call Chrysler it doesn’t cover my vehicle
Vehicle shut off WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD out of nowhere after running perfectly fine and since this incident the car won't start at all. Had the car diagnosed and it said it's the "Transmission control module"
WHILE DRIVE TURNING LEFT THOUGH A TRAFFIC LIGHT ON PILOT KNOB AND 160TH IN FARMINGTON MY CAR STALLED WHEEL LOCK UP PADDLE FELT LIKE IT HAD GOTTEN STUCK FOR A SECOND AND THERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION MY CAR HAD COMPLETELY STALLED OUT WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE TO WEAR I HAD TWO TRUCKS PULL OVER THAT HAD TWO STRANGER MEN THAT CAME OVER TO PUSH ME OUT OF THE INTERSECTION OUT OF DANGER WHEN PULLED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TURN THE CAR OVER AND IT DID TURN BACK ON BUT BECAUSE OF THE INCIDENT THAT I JUST HAPPENED I WAS NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES OF HAVING IT STALLED GOING THROUGH A TRAFFIC INTERSECTION WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR AGAIN SO I HAD IT TOWED HOME

MY VEHICLE HAS EXTENSIVE CRADLE ROT UNDERNEATH THE CARRIAGE WHICH CAUSES THE CAR TO SHAKE AND HAS THE POSSIBILITY TO HAVE THE MOTOR DROP OUT OF THE CAR, I WAS HAVING ROUTINE MAINTENCE COMPLETED ON MY CAR WHEN I FOUND THIS OUT. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND ALTHOUGH HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN FILED NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED ON THIS MATTER.

MY 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA SEEMS TO HAVE SOME VERY COMMON AND RELATED ISSUES TO AN EXISTING RECALL. MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCES ALL KIND OF ISSUES RELATED TO A FAULTY FUEL PUMP/TANK DESIGN AND POSSIBLY SOFTWARE ISSUES ALSO. MY VEHICLE CAN BE VERY HARD TO START. MY VEHICLE CAN SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. (NO OTHER KNOWN ISSUES) MY VEHICLE TENDS TO THINK THE GAS CAP IS BAD. DISPLAYING GASCAP IN THE ODOMETER AREA. WE EXPERIENCE POWER LOSS, STALLS, POOR FUEL ECONOMY, FUEL CAPOR SMELL ON OCCASION THAT COULD IGNITE, IF FOR ANY REASON THE FUEL SYSTEM IS SLIGHTLY OVERFILLED BY EVEN TEN CENTS WORTH OF FUEL IT CAN POOR FUEL ONTO THE GROUND. THIS HAPPENS ON TOP OF THE TANK. NOT AT THE FILLER HOSE. CHECK ENGIN LIGHT CODE POINTS TO EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM. MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN AUGUST 2005. I BELIEVE THE FUEL PUMP MODULE IS BAD AS WELL AS POSSIBLY SOFTWARE. IF YOU DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH YOU WILL FIND THIS CAR IS KNOW TO HAVE EVAP SYSTEM AND FUEL SYSTEM ISSUES. LOTS OF THEM. ONE THAT COMES TO MIND IS A CONNECTOR ON THE PUMP OR MODEL CRACKING AND ALLOWING FUEL /AIR TO ESCAPE. I AM TERRIFIED MY CAR MIGHT BLOW UP WITH MY CHILDREN IN IT. I CAN'T GIVE EXACT DATES BECAUSE THIS HAPPENS ALL OF THE TIME. EVAP CODES RETURN, FUEL SMELLS, POOR ENGINE PERFORMANCE POWER LOSS, IF IT DOES SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING IT BECOMES HARD TO STEER. ETC ETC

SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE (2013) THERE HAVE BEEN PROBLEMS WITH GETTING THE CAR RUNNING AGAIN. FIRST WHILE IN MOTION THE VEHICLE WOULD TREMOR (IN THE FRONT) BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN, PARTICULARLY IF GOING ABOVE 25-30 MPH. WHEN THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF BY KEY IGNITION AND TURNED BACK ON IT WOULD START AGAIN. CODES FOR OXYGEN SENSOR WOULD COME UP, HAD THAT FIXED. PROBLEM BEGAN AGAIN A FEW MONTHS LATER. MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY/OPEN ROAD THE SENSORS ON THE PANEL ALL LITE UP AND THE CAR SHUT DOWN. I HAD THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED TWICE FOR THIS ISSUE; THINKING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. PRIOR TO THE SECOND ALTERNATOR REBUILD/REPLACEMENT THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD FLUCTUATE AFTER REACHING HALF A TANK. MOST OF THE TIME IT WOULD READ EMPTY WHEN THE TANK WAS HALF FULL; OR EMPTY WHEN THE TANK IS FULL. I NOTICED THE GAUGE WOULD DROP IF A TURN WAS MADE OR THE CAR HIT A BUMP/POT HOLE IN THE CITY STREET/HIGHWAY. I ATTEMPTED TO REPLICATE CONDITIONS TO GET THE GAUGE TO GO BACK TO NORMAL, THIS DID NOT ALWAYS WORK.OCCASIONALLY IT WOULD WAVE AROUND WHILE DRIVING. THE CAR BEGAN TO READ CODE FOR FUEL SYSTEM ISSUES. HAD THIS TESTED, FUEL SYSTEM WAS FINE; YET PROBLEM CONSISTED. WITH A HALF FULL TANK, THE CAR WOULD REPEATEDLY READ EMPTY, NOT ALLOW ANY ADDITIONAL GAS TO BE PUT INTO THE TANK (WOULD CUT OFF AT PUMP AS IF TANK WERE FULL), AND SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING IN DIFFERENT ROAD CONDITIONS AS IF THERE WERE NO GAS IN THE CAR. RIGHT NOW THE GAS GAUGE CONTINUES TO READ EMPTY WHEN THERE IS GAS IN THE TANK, I HAVE TROUBLE FILLING THE TANK AS IT CUTS OFF THE PUMP REPEATEDLY NOT ALLOWING NEW GAS TO BE PUT IN, THE CAR CUTS OFF OFTEN WHILE DRIVING.

CAR BEGAN TO MAKE LOUD, ABRUPT KNOCKING NOISE FROM RIGHT SIDE, PASSENGER FRONT OF VEHICLE. WE TOOK IT TO THREE SEPARATE REPAIR SHOPS FOR EVALUATION AND AT ALL THREE REPAIRS SHOPS WERE TOLD THAT OUR ENGINE CRADLE WAS SO BADLY ROTTED AND RUSTED THAT THE CAR WAS NOT DRIVABLE. IT WAS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN AS THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION CAN BOTH DROP OUT OF THE VEHICLE AT ANY MOMENT WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAS BEEN A KNOWN ISSUE TO CHRYSLER AND THEY ARE NOT ASSISTING CURRENT OWNERS WITH REPAIR.

I WAS ON FREEWAY DOING 60_70 MILES PER HOUR WHEN I NOTICED MY CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS NOT ACCELERATING AND GAS PEDAL FELT STIFF LIKE WHEN CAR IS OFF. I HAD MY WHOLE FAMILY IN CAR AND I COULD OF WRECKED IF I DIDN'T NOTICE IN TIME TO PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED IT SOME HOW BEFORE WE GOT REAR ENDED. I GOT OFF FREEWAY SOMEHOW AND TURNED CAR ON AND OFF AGAIN A FEW TIMES AND IT SEEMED LIKE IT WAS A ONE TIME THING . A FEW MILES LATER IT DID SAME THING AND I WAS STALLED OUT IN MIDDLE OF ON COMING TRAFFIC . CARS BRAKED AND SWERVED OUT OF MY WAY TO AVOID REAR ENDING US . MY CHILDREN WERE SCARED CAUSE OF THIS HAPPENING OUT OF THE BLUE. I NOW HAVE NO DESIRE TO EVEN DRIVE MY CAR WITH ANY OF MY FAMILY IN IT INCASE THIS HAPPENS AGAIN. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER BUT THEY CLAIMED MY VIN WASN'T PART OF THE F44 RECALLS BUT I KNOW IT IS SAME ISSUES...I WILL BE TAKING CAR TO CHRYSLER FIRST THING IN MORNING TO LEAVE THEM CAR TO FIND OUT WHY MY FAMILY ALMOST GOT IN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS ISSUE. SO IN TOTAL IT STALLED OUT ON ME 6 TIMES TWICE ON FREEWAY THE REST ON CITY STREETS JUST TO GET HOME ....THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT COULD OF KILLED EVERYONE IN MY VEHICLE IF I DIDN'T REACT FAST ENOUGH TO AVOID THAT FROM HAPPENING..

THE CENTER BEARING/DRIVE SHAFT IS NO GOOD. I PREPAID THE DEALER IN MARCH OF 2016 FOR A NEW ONE. AS OF TODAY SEP 18, 2006 IT HA NOT COME IN YET. THE CAR IS UNDRIVEABLE. EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE. I HAVE NOTIFIED THE MASS ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. THERE INVESTIGATION. I ALSO HAVE A ROTTED SUB FRAME. AND THE DEALER WONT STAND BEHIND IT. I AM LOOKING TO START OR JOIN A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST CHRYSLER.

AFTER BEING PARKED FOR 4 HOURS WE NOTICED THE CAR WAS SMOKING. I CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHO DISCOVERED THAT THE INSULATION AND THE ENGINE WAS SMOLDERING. IT IS NOW AT EXCALIBUR BEING LOOKED AT. I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET WHEN THIS HAPPENED. WHEN WE DISCOVERED THE CAR WAS SMOKING, IT HAD BEEN PARKED FOR FOUR HOURS.

REPAIR ESTIMATES RANGE FROM $3300 TO OVER $4000. THE CAR IS LESS THAN 10 YEARS OLD AND UNDER 100K MILES. NO HELP FROM THE MANUFACTURER. MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME SITUATION. I TOOK MY 2006 PACIFICA IN TO A DEALER ON 7/18/2014 TO HAVE A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT END INSPECTED. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE TIE ROD BUSHINGS HAD FAILED FOR A SECOND TIME IN ABOUT A YEAR. THEN HE TOLD ME THAT PART OF THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE SUB FRAME WAS RUSTING AND CRACKING TO THE POINT THAT THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION COULD FALL OUT. I FOUND OUT THAT CHRYSLER HAD A RECALL FOR 2004 AND 2005 PACIFICAS WITH THE SAME ISSUE BUT WOULD NOT COVER IT FOR ANY OTHER YEARS. THE FACT THAT THEY KNOW THEY HAD A PROBLEM COUPLED WITH THE NUMBER OF ISSUES THAT I HAVE SEEN ONLINE, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WOULDN'T COVER THIS FAILURE ON ALL MODEL YEARS. AFTER I HAD TRAVELED 220 MILES ON A FULL TANK, (20 GALLONS) THE MOTOR JUST SHUT ITSELF OFF. I PULLED OVER AND CALLED FOR HELP. THEY BROUGHT 2 GALLONS OF GAS AND PUT IT IN AND IT FIRED RIGHT UP. I DROVE 2 MILES BACK TO THE GAS STATION AND FILLED IT BACK UP AND IT ONLY TOOK 8 GALLONS TO FILL IT BACK UP. 10 IF YOU INCLUDE THE 2 WE HAD JUST PUT IN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. NEXT AND BIGGEST ISSUE OFF ALL IS THAT WHILE DRIVING DOWN OUR STREET I HEARD A NOISE THAT CONCERNED ME. WHEN I GOT HOME THERE WAS A TAPPING UNDER THE HOOD, THE TAPPING HAS BEEN CONTINUOUS SINCE THEN. THE ORIGINAL MILEAGE AT THAT TIME WAS 85,625 MILES. AFTER MULTIPLE TRIPS TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT MECHANICS IT HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED AS A TAPPING LIFTER. WELL THIS IS A VERY VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR. SO EASIEST THING FOR US TO DO IS TO TRADE IN OUR CAR....NOT THE CASE. OUR CAR NOW HAS NO TRADE-IN VALUE BECAUSE OF THE LIFTER ISSUE. I AM BESIDE MYSELF AND I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT THESE ARE ALL ISSUES THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD ADDRESS UNDER WARRANTY. THE MAINTENANCE ON OUR VEHICLE IS DONE ON A REGULAR BASIS TO AVOID ISSUES LIKE THIS. RESTARTED VEHICLE AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AGAIN WHEN IT THEN SUDDENLY STARTED TO DRIVE ROUGH FOR APPROXIMATELY A COUPLE OF SECONDS, AS IF IT AGAIN WANTED TO STALL, BUT DIDN'T. AFTER THIS, THE VEHICLE DROVE NORMAL. TOOK VEHICLE TO PEPBOYS ON THE SAME DAY AND THEY DIAGNOSED A 420 AND A 700 FAULT CODE. ON THURSDAY APRIL 14, 2011 TOOK VEHICLE TO ALLIANCE CHRYSLER DEALER IN FT. WORTH, TX. I EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND MENTIONED THAT MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME SYMPTOMS DESCRIBED IN THE PCM/FUEL PUMP RECALL ISSUED AGAINST 2006 PACIFICAS. I ALSO MENTIONED THAT THIS RECALL DID NOT COVER MY VEHICLE WHICH THEY CONFIRMED. HOWEVER, I RAISED CONCERNS ON WHETHER THE RECALL APPLICABILITY NEEDED TO BE EXPANDED TO COVER OTHER PACIFICAS. THE DEALER HAS YET TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM BESIDES TELLING ME THAT THEY CONFIRMED A 420 AND 700 FAULT CODE WHICH THEY STATED WOULD REQUIRE ME TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING SOLENOID. I QUESTIONED WHETHER THE SUDDEN STALL OF THE VEHICLE COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A MISLEADING FAULT CODE. DEALER TECHNICIAN MENTIONED THAT THE STALL COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY A FAULTY TRANSMISSION SOLENOID. I MENTIONED THAT MY VEHICLE HAD SHOWN NO INDICATION OF A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WITH THE GEAR SHIFT. BESIDES, IF A FAULTY TRANSMISSION SHIFT SOLENOID IS CAPABLE OF CAUSING A VEHICLE STALL, THEN THIS VEHICLE HAS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW SINCE A STALL WHILE DRIVING COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR A CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENT. YAH... ALL THE THINGS I TOLD THE DEALER! WAITING FOR HIM TO CHECK OVER THE ENTIRE CAR RIGHT NOW TO SEE IF ANYTHING ELSE IS WRONG. (PROBLEM WITH THE HEAT AND I THINK WITH MY SUSPENSION). ALSO, THE HEAT WILL NOT STOP BLOWING ON THE WINDSHIELD (DEFROST) BARELY GIVES OFF HEAT TO FEET ETC. GOT SO HOT IT MELTED THE PLASTIC ON THE DASHBOARD WHERE THE DEFROST EMITS FROM...DEALER "CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM" BUT YET ALL I DO IS TURN ON THE CAR, SIT THERE 5 MINUTES AND TRY TO TURN THE HEAT TO ANYWHERE OTHER THAN DEFROST AND IT'S BLATANTLY OBVIOUS AS YOU CAN'T BREATHE FROM THE AMOUNT OF HOT AIR STILL BLOWING IN YOUR FACE OFF THE WINDSHIELD. CURRENTLY HAVE LOCAL MECHANIC LOOKING AT IT. PREVIOUS LOCAL MECHANIC FOUND ISSUE BUT WOULDN'T TEAR THE DASHBOARD APART TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT. RECOMMENDED DEALER AS I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. ONE ROCKER ARM (LIFTER) WENT OUT IN JULY 09. WE REPLACED THE FAULTY ROCKER ARM. JUST TWO WEEKS AGO, ALL ROCKER ARMS WENT OUT, INCLUDING THE ONE THAT WAS RECENTLY REPLACED. THIS HAS CAUSED MY 06 CHRYSLER PACIFICA TO NOT TURN OVER AND NOT START. BOTH THE BATTERY AND STARTER HAVE BEEN TESTED AND ARE FINE. ALL ROCKER ARMS ARE NOW BEING REPLACED AT A COST OF OVER $1000 WITH ONLY 43K MILES ON THE VEHICLE. WHEN WE ASKED THE DEALERSHIP WHY THE BRAND NEW ROCKER ARM (LIFTER) HAD FAILED, THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE THE ENTIRE MECHANISM WITH THE ROCKER ARMS HAS A FAULTY DESIGN. *TR

AT 40,000 MILES CAR STARTED MAKING TICKING NOISE. TOOK IT TO MY PERSONAL MECHANIC AND HE DETERMINED THE LIFTERS NEEDED CHANGING. REPLACED THE LIFTERS THEN AGAIN AT 60,000 MILES THE CAR HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS TIME I HAD A CERTIFIED MECHANIC FROM WORK CALL A FRIEND AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND HE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT CHRYSLER WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE LIFTERS AND THAT THERE WAS A REPAIR KIT AVAILABLE THROUGH CHRYSLER. I HAVE HAD THE CAR BACK FOR 2 WEEKS NOW WITH NO PROBLEMS SO FAR. THE MECHANIC VISUALLY CONFIRMED THAT THE RETAINING PINS OF THE SHAFT WERE INDEED SHEARED, THUS BLOCKING THE OIL GALLEY AND THE FLOW OF OIL TO THE LIFTERS. MY OPINION IS WHY WOULD CHRYSLER COME OUT WITH THIS REPAIR KIT IF THERE WAS NO WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM. *TR

UPON HEARING TICKING NOISE, WE TOOK OUR 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA INTO THE DEALER. WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM CAUSED BY A BROKEN RETAINING PIN ON THE ROCKER ARM SHAFT. WHEN THE PIN BREAKS, THE SHAFT CAN SPIN THAT MAY BLOCK OIL PASSAGE THE ROCKER ARMS (WHICH CAUSES THE TICKING NOISE). THE ROCKER ARM SHAFTS WERE REPLACED BY THE DEALER. AFTER 1 HR OF HIGHWAY DRIVING, TURNED IN PARKING LOT, CAR MADE STRANGE NOISE ON TURNING, SEEMED TO NOT WANT TO MOVE FORWARD. PARKED VEH FOR THE DAY. UPON RETURN TO VEHICLE TRIED TO BACK OUT OF SPOT, CAR MADE SAME NOISE, STOPPED, CHECKED ALL FLUIDS, CHECKED UNDER CAR/IN ENGINE. NOTHING VISIBLE, DROVE VEHICLE ACROSS PARKING LOT, HEARD LOUD NOISE, PARKED AGAIN, VISIBLE TRAIL OF FLUID AND PUDDLE UNDER VEHICLE. CALLED FOR TOW. TOW TRUCK DRIVER BACKED VEHICLE UP TO GET ON FLATBED, SEVERAL LARGE METAL PIECES FELL FROM UNDER VEHICLE. VEH TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. SERVICE AT DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THAT POWER TRANSFER UNIT HAD DISINTEGRATED, METAL HOUSING AND GEARS CAME APART FROM INSIDE OUT, DISINTEGRATION ALSO DESTROYED TRANSMISSION WITH METAL PIECES AND FILINGS. VEHICLE HAS APPROX 50,000 MILES-MOSTLY HIGHWAY MILES. 2005 PACIFICA HAS 70,000 MI WARRANTY, THE 2007 HAS LIFETIME POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. THIS 2006 HAS 36,000 MILE WARRANTY. CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL NOT ASSIST WITH COST OF REPAIR OR STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLE. WHAT DID THEY KNOW IN 2006 THAT MADE THEM NOT WARRANTY THEIR VEHICLE OR ITS PARTS PAST 36000 MILES? FAILURE OF CV JOINT RESULTING IN A RIGHT FRONT BROKEN AXLE. THE VEHICLE HAD JUST BEEN TO THE DEALER AND HAD A 30,000 MILE SERVICE WHICH SUPINCLUDED INSPECTION OF CV JOINTS. THE ACTUAL MILEAGE WAS JUST UNDER 30,000 AT THE TIME, WHICH SEEM EARLY FOR SUCH A SERIOUS PROBLEM. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE SENSORS. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS USING EXCESSIVE FUEL AT LOW MILEAGES AND SHE SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE WIRES IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WERE DAMAGED. THE REPAIR WOULD COST $3,000; HOWEVER, THE DEALER COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE PERTAINING TO THE FUEL SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. WEEKS LATER, THE DRIVER SIDE HEAD LAMP FAILED, REDUCING ALL VISIBILITY. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, THE VEHICLE WOULD VIBRATE ABNORMALLY AND WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED ANOTHER SENSOR. DAYS LATER, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WOULD BECOME STUCK IN A FIXATED POSITION, BUT THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. LASTLY, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. SHE IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 32,000.

I BOUGHT A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES NOW SINCE I GO IT A YEAR AGO. THE FIRST TWO TIMES WERE FOR THE SAME THING. IT WAS A ROD AND LIFTERS. THIS LAST TIME, I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY WHEELS TURNED TO THE SIDE AND THEN MY CAR SKIDDED TO A STOP AS MY TIRES TURNED SIDEWAYS.! THEY STATE ON INVOICE, "1803905 FOR PCM REPROGRAMMING. REPROGRAMMED PCM PER TSB 1803905 18190610/.7/FC FM." NO OTHER STALL INCIDENTS HAVE OCCURRED. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK ON AN INCLINE, SHE EXITED THE VEHICLE TO UNLOAD IT. SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE SWITCHED GEARS ON ITS OWN INTO REVERSE CAUSING THE DRIVER'S FRONT DOOR TO HIT THE CONTACT. THIS INCIDENT RESULTED IN A FRACTURED SHOULDER TO THE CONTACT.
