The car has a lot of dangerous problems. For one I had my truck diagnosed and code came back as gas cap. Then it was electric problems after the replacement of the gas cap. Check engine light was still on. So I went for another diagnostic now is coming up power train. Went to 3 to 6 transmission shops and all told me different reasons solenoid, pcm, Tcm, or maybe it’s just shot all together is what the last shop told me. That’s a $3,000 repair and that’s ridiculous after I had all those pieces replaced. My car stills doesn’t shift gears as I’m driving I can’t really go over 40 or 50 mph because of high rpm’s. The car doesn’t shift gears and I’m hearing a loud whining noise as I drive. I was on the high way and could get off fast enough because of high rpm’s and the car not shifting and also automatically switches from drive to auto-stick on it’s on. Pls Help Me

AFTER PUTTING IN GAS IN THE CAR IT WILL DIE AS IF IT IS NOT GETTING GAS AND WHEN FILLING UP I HAVE TO PUMP SLOW BECAUSE IT ACTS LIKE IT IS NOT TAKING THE GAS. ITS DIED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT ANY WARNING. IN TRAFFIC GOINF THROUGH A LIGHT IT SHUT OFF AS IF IT HAD NO GAS. THE CAR THEN WILL NOT TURN ON THE KEY TURNS OVER BUT SPUTTERS. ONCE I PUMP ON THE GAS AFTER 3 OR MORE ATTEMPTS IT COME ON. WE HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND AUTOZONE CODE GAVE P0461 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR A AS THE PROBLEM. THIS IS DANGEROUS AS THE CAR JUST SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING AND UNABLE TO START IN TRAFFIC OR JUST SHUTTING DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY. THE OIL LIGHT COMES ON AS WELL. THERES A NOISE LIKE A TICKING SOUND I CAN HEAR BY THE GAS TANK WHEN I SHUT OFF THE CAR. AS SOON AS I LEFT THE GAS STATION TODAY I HAD IT IN DRIVE ABOUT TO TURN ON THE STREET WITH TRAFFIC COMING AND IT SHUT OFF AND WOULS NOT TURN ON FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES. I WAS LUCKY I DID NOT GET HIT.

THE STARTER WAS REPLACED AND THE CAR CONTINUED TO START FOR TWO MORE WEEKS BEFORE IT HASN'T STARTED SINCE.

CAR WILL INTERMITTENTLY NOT START ON FIRST ATTEMPT. IT STARTS AFTER KEY IS TURNED TO OFF, WAITING FOR 60 SECONDS, THAN A SUCCESSFUL START. ONE INCIDENT WHERE THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SUNDOWN WHILE IN OPERATION ON A CITY STREET. DEALERSHIP WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED COMPLETED THE ALLEGED REPAIR. DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS BATTERY, EFFICIENT COLD CRANKING AMPS. BATTERY REPLACED. EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS LATER. THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THE TIMES THAT STARTING FAILED THE VEHICLE WAS ALWAYS PARKED FOR THIRTY MINUTES OR MORE. THE PROBLEM BEGAN IN APRIL. THE VEHICLE IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. 118K MILES. VEHICLE HAS BEEN MAINTAINED ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER GUIDELINES. PURCHASED NEW.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KEY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (2020 N DETROIT ST, XENIA, OH 45385) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EXHAUST GAS RE-CIRCULATION VALVE AND THE COMPUTER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,540.

I PURCHASED MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA AT A DEALER SHIP IN FEBRUARY 2017. I HAVE JUST HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 5 MONTHS. THE CAR HAD EVERYTHING RUNNING AND WHEN I SAY EVERYTHING RUNNING; I MEAN A/C WAS WORKING JUST FINE AS WELL AS THE HEATER AND ALL WINDOWS ROLLED UP AND DOWN. I HAD EVERYTHING UPDATED ON THIS VEHICLE. NOW 5 MONTHS LATER, I HAVE NEIGHBORS ON 7/25/2017 AT AROUND 2PM THAT WITNESSED MY CAR CATCHING ON FIRE. HOW? I DON'T KNOW AND I AM CONFUSED AND WORRIED BECAUSE I HAD JUST PULLED UP TO MY HOME WITH MY FIANCE. OUR CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE ON 7/25/17 I HAD TO CALL THE FIRE FIGHTERS TO COME OUT AND PUT THE FIRE OUT. THIS WAS THE MOST SCARIEST THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I AM OVERWHELMED. THE FIRE FIGHTERS PUT THE FIRE OUT AND NOW I AM WITH NO VEHICLE. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF 3 THAT WORKS A DOUBLE SHIFT JUST TO MAKE A WAY IN LIFE. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS EXPERIENCE AND FEAR FOR MY LIFE FROM HERE ON OUT. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE OR GET IN ANY CAR BECAUSE MIND YOU MY CAR HAD BEEN DRIVING PERFECTLY FINE. I AM DISGUSTED AT THE FACT THAT THERE ARE CRUEL PEOPLE OUT HERE WITH LICENSE DEALERSHIPS THAT ARE ABLE TO SELL VEHICLES WITH VEHICLES THAT CAN COST SOMEONE'S LIFE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLOCKSPRING (PART NUMBER 68281393AB) NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER FAILED TO PRODUCE THE REQUIRED PART TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT AND MECHANIC CONTACTED THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER NUMEROUS TIMES DURING THE 18 MONTHS TO PURCHASE THE PARTS, BUT WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000.

I HAVE BEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND THE CAR WOULD JUST SHOUT OFF. I KEEP REPLACING BATTERIES AFTER BATTERIES. I FINALLY FOUND OUT IT IS THE IGNITION, THE WAY I FOUND OUT IS A CERTAIN WAY I HAD TO TURN THE KEY FOR THE CAR TO START. HOWEVER, FOR THE PAST YEAR, I'VE EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT STALLING ISSUES WITH MY CAR - WHILE OPERATING/DRIVING AND I AM NOW TERRIFIED OF THE WHAT "IFS" SINCE I THOUGHT WE'D RESOLVED THE ISSUE JUST OVER A MONTH AGO WHEN REPLACING MY EGR VALVE. THIS WAS A HUGE EXPENSE PARTICULARLY SINCE I'VE BEEN UNDEREMPLOYED FOR A WHILE NOW, BUT THEN AGAIN TODAY WHILE DRIVING WITH MY YOUNG DAUGHTER THE ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN!! I TOO HAVE HAD MY SHARE OF BEING INCONVENIENCED BY TAKING TO MULTIPLE MECHANICS AND REPAIR SHOPS SAYING THEY NEED TO "MIMICK" THE ISSUE IN ORDER TO FIND THE PROBLEM. SINCE THIS ISSUE OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY, HOW IS THAT EXACTLY SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN??? CHRYSLER CORPORATE REALLY NEEDS TO STEP UP AND ADDRESS THIS ISSUE ASAP SINCE THIS APPEARS TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE AND POSSIBLE DEFECT ON THE PRODUCTS THEMSELVES USED WHEN MANUFACTURING THIS CAR AND/OR A HUGE DEFECT OF THIS PARTICULAR MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE, IN GENERAL! TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. AFTER THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS ROLLED DOWN, ALL FOUR WINDOWS BECAME INOPERABLE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT AN UNKNOWN FUSE AND THE WIRING HARNESS IN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,135.

SO CURRENTLY THE ESP AND TRACTION CONTROL, BOTH OF WHICH ARE SAFETY FEATURES ARE NOT FUNCTIONING AND I CAN NOT REPAIR CAUSE PART IS NOT READILY AVAILABLE, I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL TO COVER THIS SAFETY CONCERN.

WE PULLED OVER AGAIN AND OPENED THE HOOD. THE CAR WOULD RESTART, BUT NOW THE DASH CLUSTER WAS OUT ALONG WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. WE TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND WEIRDLY, THE HEADLIGHTS CAME ON. WHEN DRIVING, OUR 07 PACIFICA WILL RANDOMLY LOSE POWER AND THERE WILL BE NO BRAKES AND NO STEERING. I HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND RESTART THE ENGINE WHILE THE CAR IS STILL IN MOTION. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 10-35 MPH, THE OIL AND ESP LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE, THEN THE ENGINE WILL SIMPLY CUT OFF / STALL. WE HAVE TO PUT ON THE EMERGENCY FLASHER WHILE IN TRAFFIC, PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL OR PARK AND RESTART. NO ENGINE LIGHT. WE BROUGHT THE PACIFICA IN TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP 5 TIMES AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY CODES. THEY TRIED UPDATING THE SOFTWARE ON THE ECM WHICH DID NOT HELP. THEN, THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE BAD AND THE TORQUE OF THE ENGINE WAS PULLING ON THE FRONT WIRING HARNESS(ES), CAUSING THE STALLING ISSUE. WE HAD ALL 3 (FRONT, REAR, UPPER) ENGINE/MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED AND THE ISSUE STILL HAPPENS EVERY TIME WE TRY TO DRIVE THE CAR. THE DEALERSHIP HAS THE CAR AGAIN AND SAID THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT STILL LOOKS LIKE IT IS BAD EVEN THOUGH IT WAS REPLACED 4 DAYS AGO. BASED ON WHAT I'VE READ IN THE NHTSA DATABASE AND THE DODGE DEALERSHIP TELLING ME THAT MOTOR MOUNTS GO OUT ON A LOT OF PACIFICAS, THIS IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF 2007 PACIFICA OWNERS. CHRYSLER SHOULD ABSOLUTELY RECALL THE MOTOR MOUNTS ON THIS VEHICLE AND PROVIDE A MORE RELIABLE REPLACEMENT MOTOR MOUNT WITH A ROBUST DESIGN AT NO CHARGE TO ALL PACIFICA OWNERS. MY WIFE HAS REPORTED THAT SHE HAS ALMOST BEEN REAR ENDED SEVERAL TIMES AS A RESULT OF SUDDENLY STALLING WHILE DRIVING. THE CAR CONTINUES TO STALL AT LOW SPEEDS. WE HAVE TAKEN TO MECHANIC AND THEY DO NOT FIND ANY SERVICE ALERTS, AND WEREN'T ABLE TO DUPLICATE ON A TEST DRIVE. IT IS STARTING TO PICK UP IN FREQUENCY TO WHERE IT IS DOING IT EVERY OTHER DAY NOW. I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA TOURING 4.0. THE VEHICLES LIGHTS WILL FLICKER, THE AIR CONDITIONER AND RADIO TURN OFF AND WITHOUT NOTICE THE VEHICLE WILL LOSE TOTAL POWER. NO POWER STEERING, NO HAZARD LIGHTS NOTHING. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BUSY INTERSECTION. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP TO GET SERVICED 3 TIMES I PAID $713.00 AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. I HAVE EMAILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHRYSLER HEADQUARTERS. I WAS GIVEN A CASE MANAGER WHO DOES NOT CALL ME BACK. THIS VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING AND CAN CAUSE DEATH OR INJURY TO MYSELF, MY FAMILY AND OTHERS AND CHRYSLER CAN CARE LESS ABOUT IT. *TR

WARRANT OF MERCHANTABILITY- IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT STATES A VEHICLE WILL RUN LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO RUN, APPLYING TO THE BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE CAR. THE BUYER MUST PROVE A DEFECT WAS PRESENT AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. 'CAR DID NOT START X2 AT DEALER AND REQUIRED A JUMP START- I WAS INFORMED IT WAS A RESULT OF BEING LOW ON GAS AND HAVING SAT OUT IN THE HOT SUN. UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE- DEALER DISCLAIMED A WARRANT OF MECHANIC ABILITY, GIVING THE CONSUMER THE RIGHT TO CHALLENGE THE DISCLAIMER USING THE FEDERAL UNIFORM COMMERCIAL (UCC). THE UCC CAN BE USED TO CANCEL THE SALE OF A USED CAR. UNFAIR AND DECEPTIVE ACTS AND PRACTICES (UDAP LAW) - THESE LAWS CAN BE USED EVEN IF THE CAR IS SOLD AS IS, AS LONG AS THE DEALER IS GUILTY OF A VERBAL DECEPTION OR FAILURE TO DISCLOSE INFORMATION ABOUT THE VEHICLE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, SHE NOTICED A POPPING NOISE AND THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WERE FLASHING ALONG WITH DASHBOARD LIGHTS AND HEATING SYSTEM WAS INOPERABLE. SHE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE SAFELY ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE; HOWEVER, THE NOISE CONTINUED EVEN AFTER SHE TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. SHE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO HER RESIDENCE. SHE HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER OR SPOKEN WITH THE MANUFACTURER TO-DATE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 15 TO 60 MPH. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED SEVEN TIMES SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. RIGHT AFTER THE FAILURE, THE LOW OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE DRIVER EXPERIENCED LIMITED ABILITY TO STEER AND STOP THE VEHICLE DURING THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IS ABLE TO BE IMMEDIATELY RESTARTED AFTER THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR ON FOUR OCCASIONS. ON THE FIRST OCCASION, THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE. ON THE SECOND OCCASION, THE DEALER DUPLICATED THE FAILURE AND REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY. ON THE THIRD OCCASION, THE EMISSIONS INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND AN ERRONEOUS EVAPORATION CODE APPEARED. THE COMPUTER WAS RESET AT THAT TIME. ON THE FOURTH VISIT TO THE DEALER, THREE LOOSE ELECTRICAL GROUNDS WERE FOUND AND TIGHTENED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE PREVIOUS OWNER ALSO EXPERIENCED THE FAILURES, BUT THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,150 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,250. I PURCHASED MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA ON 06-05-07, WITHIN THREE DAYS I NOTICED THAT EVERYTIME I LOCKED THE CAR AND OPEN IT, THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND BOTH SIDE MIRRORS WOULD ADJUST THEMSELVES ON THEIR OWN. I TOOK THE CAR BACK AND THE DEALER ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND EVENTUAL DISCONNECTED THE COMPUTER THAT CONTROLLED THE SEAT ADJUSTMENT. NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS DID NOT WORK. ON JULY 13, 2007, WHILE AT WORK, I WAS DOING HOME VISITS. I WAS RUNNING BEHIND AND FORGOT TO READJUST THE MIRRORS WHEN I GOT IN THE CAR. WHILE BACKING UP I HIT A MAIL BOX CAUSING $1,000.00 DAMAGE TO THE CAR. I WENT BACK TO THE DEALER AND INFORMED THEM OF THE ACCIDENT, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER AS THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. TO DATE I AM STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE. IF FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR, I ASKED THAT THE PROBLEM BE FIXED, TO GIVE ME A RENTAL OR ANOTHER CAR AS I WAS HAVING KNEE SURGERY IN MARCH, NOTHING WAS DONE AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AS YET. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHEN THE VEHICLE REACHES 2,000 RPMS WHILE ON A SLIGHT INCLINE, THE TRANSMISSION BEGINS TO SHUTTER AND SKIP. THIS LEADS TO FAILURE BETWEEN THE TRANSMISSION AND THE TORQUE CONVERTER. THE CONTACT RECENTLY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND THEY STATED THAT IT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED UNTIL SEPTEMBER OF 2007. THE TRANSMISSION ALSO MAKES A HARSH CLUNKING SOUND WHEN SHIFTING. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THAT THE SUSPENSION MAY BE FAILING BECAUSE THE VEHICLE RIDES ROUGHLY AT ANY SPEED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 800 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 350. I DROVE 20 MILES. PULLED INTO A PARKING PLACE, AND A FIRE ERUPTED UNDER MY HOOD. THE FRONT END OF THE CAR BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES, AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO PUT THE FIRE OUT. THEY SPRAYED WATER INSIDE THE CAR'S CABIN TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE IN THE DASH AND UNDER THE HOOD. *TR PONE INTERVIEW UPDATE (OCT. 5, 2007): I WAS VACATIONING WITH MY THREE CHILDREN IN FLORIDA WHEN THE CAR CAUGHT FIRE UNDER THE HOOD AND TOTALED IT. THE "HOT-SPOT" SHOWN ON THE HOOD IS HALF WAY DOWN ON THE DRIVER SIDE. AN AFTERMARKET DVD PLAYER WAS INSTALLED IN THE PASSENGER CABIN BUT THAT SHOULD NOT BE RELATED TO THE FIRE UNDER THE HOOD. CHRYSLER PAID ME FOR THE VEHICLE.
