Engine Sub Frame-AKA Engine Cradle is rotting out. Vehicle was inspected on July 6, 2023 at Jim Rielh's Chrysler -Jeep Dealership located at 32899 Van Dyke, Warren Michigan 48093. The report came back as " FOUND FRONT ENGINE CRADLE / FRAME ROTTED / RUSTED OUT." This vehicle has been well maintained and has been Safety Inspected by the same dealership in 2021 & 2022 and never advised there was a problem with the Engine Cradle. Now in 2021, three engine mounts were replaced to correct clunking noises when accelerating, but again there was never an advisement of a potential Engine Cradle Rot. The vehicle had 127, 640 miles on it when it was inspected by the dealer. The results were reported to Chrysler Customer Care via email and by phone but no response as of today.

I am requesting that NHTSA issue a recall for the known defect and serious safety hazard for the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. These vehicles need to be recalled effective immediately and removed from our highways. The engine cradle rot poses a a risk for accidents and the manufacturer is privy to these problems and had legal action taken against them for a similar notification of different years. The 2007 models should be recalled as well. Please issue the recall and do the right thing. Who knows, you may save someone’s life who is unaware of the dangerous equipment they are driving. Not to mention the manufacturer needs to either to buy back the vehicles, pay for the costly repairs and or compensate the owners who are unable to drive their vehicle or are forced to purchase another vehicle because Chrysler and those in authority have failed and refused to act with integrity and take action to make the recall. There are countless consumers who complain of the same problems of cradle rot, but nothing has been done. After fueling, especially if the take is full. The engine will die several times in the first 5 or more miles driven. Of course, this also means no power steering. You may be turning at an intersection, on a freeway or just traveling on a surface street. Still, you are without power and no power steering putting the car and occupants in danger. Usually, putting the car in neutral and starting gets you going again, at least until the next event. We have had as many a 5 such events on a 4.5 mile drive home form the gas station. This has now progressed. The last fill up, the nozzle cut of several times and restart over and over to finally fill the take. We knew it could take more fuel, Ultimately it took on 15 Gallons. This time, even after the second day and about 20 miles on the car it will still die at random, especially at idle, say at a stop light. Also with this phenomenon, when the gas gouge gets to just below a half of a tank reading, it may suddenly drop to (E) empty. This is not a good feeling, even though we know it is a bogus reading. The gauge may or may not read correctly at about a half tank the next time the car is started, after an overnight rest. We suspect this may relate to the saddle bag fuel tank system. Currently the check engine light is on, solid, not flashing. However, this problem after a fill up has occurred when there was no check engine light active. Our mechanic is aware of the problems and we are scheduling a visit again and will make sure he is aware of all of these issues. Safety issue, yeah, like suddenly rear-ended or t boned with loss of power and almost impossible steering without power steering. Thankfully, the emergency flashers work fine.

Several Times while driving and often when turning at a slow speed the Pacifica stalls. This is a common problem with no help from Chrysler. No codes come up and several mechanics and dealers have tried to fix the problem to no avail and at a lot of expense. In checking this problem out on the internet, many, many people have complained about this problem because it is highly dangerous and puts peoples lives at risk! Why doesn't Chrysler investigate and find the reason and provide a fix or why won't the NHTSA look into this problem. It also is known to happen to 2005 and 2006 Pacificas.

MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA 4.0 HAS ALWAYS RAN PRETTY GREAT, RIDES SMOOTH. THIS PARTICULAR DAY IT JERKED AND REVED TO 3000 RPMS WHEN I PUT MY VEHICLE INTO REVERSE, I THEN SWITCHED MY GEAR INTO DRIVE AND THE TRUCK JERKED AGAIN THEN STARTED SMOKING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE ENGINE. BY THE TIME I COULD PARK THE ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE AND SPREAD QUICKLY. I GRABBED WHAT THINGS I COULD BEFORE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT GOT THERE. THEY HAD TO PRY MY HOOD OPEN BECAUSE IT MELTED THE LATCH TO OPEN IT AND THEY CONTINUOUSLY SOAKED THE WHOLE ENGINE FOR ABOUT 5-7 MINUTES. FIRE SEEMED TO ORIGINATE AROUND THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT AREA.

WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEED OR ACCELERATING FROM BEING PREVIOUSLY IDLE, THE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT AND THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR WILL SIMULTANEOUSLY LIGHT UP. UPON DOING SO, THE ENGINE WILL LOSE ALL POWER AND SHUT OFF. THIS REQUIRES THE DRIVER TO PUT THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL OR PARK TO START THE VEHICLE AGAIN. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRING WHILE DRIVING HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AT NO FAULT OF THE DRIVER FROM THIS LOSS OF CONTROL.

I PURCHASED MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA AT A DEALER SHIP IN FEBRUARY 2017. I HAVE JUST HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 5 MONTHS. THE CAR HAD EVERYTHING RUNNING AND WHEN I SAY EVERYTHING RUNNING; I MEAN A/C WAS WORKING JUST FINE AS WELL AS THE HEATER AND ALL WINDOWS ROLLED UP AND DOWN. I HAD EVERYTHING UPDATED ON THIS VEHICLE. NOW 5 MONTHS LATER, I HAVE NEIGHBORS ON 7/25/2017 AT AROUND 2PM THAT WITNESSED MY CAR CATCHING ON FIRE. HOW? I DON'T KNOW AND I AM CONFUSED AND WORRIED BECAUSE I HAD JUST PULLED UP TO MY HOME WITH MY FIANCE. OUR CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE ON 7/25/17 I HAD TO CALL THE FIRE FIGHTERS TO COME OUT AND PUT THE FIRE OUT. THE SUV SHUTS OF WHILE MOVING. WHILE WE ARE DRIVING (IN MOTION) THE SUV WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AND WE HAVE TO RESTART IT BY PLACING IT IN NEUTRAL AND TURNING THE KEY. WE HAVE REPORTED IT TO CHRYSLER 3 TIMES AND WE HAVE SPENT $900 TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT IT JUST HAPPENED AGAIN 2 DAYS AFTER WE PICKED IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP. ALL REPAIRS FOR THIS SUV WERE DONE BY THE DEALERSHIP OVER THE LIFE OF THE SUV. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE SUV HAS NOT DUPLICATED THE PROBLEM WHILE IN THE DEALERSHIP WHILE BEING REPAIRED AND THEY HAVE SAID THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN OVER 100 MILES BY THEM WITHOUT SHUTTING OFF. IF THIS IS TRUE, WHY DID IT SHUT OFF WHILE MY FAMILY WAS DRIVING IT 2 DAYS AFTER WE PICKED IT UP. THEY ARE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH. WE DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A 4TH TIME FOR THIS PROBLEM UNTIL WE FIND OUT WHAT CAN BE DONE. THE TRUCK IS IN GREAT SHAPE BESIDES THIS PROBLEM THAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND SCARY WHEN IT HAPPENS. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER INCIDENTS OF THIS VERY PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLERS AS WELL.

THE CAR IS UNDER AN EXTENDED MANUFACTURER'S BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY SO THE REPAIR SHOULD BE COVERED AS IT IS A CLEAR DEFECT. APPARENTLY, BECAUSE THE CAR JUST STOPPED, NO CODES WERE RECORDED AS TO THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM. HENCE, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY A PROBLEM. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT THE COST OF A SUSPECTED REPAIR BE MADE BY THE OWNER BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DEFINITELY DEFINE THE PROBLEM AS NECESSARY TO BE REIMBURSED UNDER THE WARRANTY. RECOMMENDED REPAIR WAS DONE AT OWNER'S COST YET THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. AN EARLIER MODEL OF THIS CAR HAD A RECALL TO REPAIR A SIMILAR IF NOT IDENTICAL PROBLEM.

HAVE OWNED A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS NOW - BOUGHT IT USED AND ENJOY MOST FEATURES OF THIS CAR HAVING WAITED FOR A FEW YEARS TO PURCHASE ONE AFTER HAVING RECURRING (AND COSTLY) REPAIR ISSUES WITH MY PREVIOUS CHRYSLER (CIRRUS.) HOWEVER, FOR THE PAST YEAR, I'VE EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT STALLING ISSUES WITH MY CAR - WHILE OPERATING/DRIVING AND I AM NOW TERRIFIED OF THE WHAT "IFS" SINCE I THOUGHT WE'D RESOLVED THE ISSUE JUST OVER A MONTH AGO WHEN REPLACING MY EGR VALVE. THIS WAS A HUGE EXPENSE PARTICULARLY SINCE I'VE BEEN UNDEREMPLOYED FOR A WHILE NOW, BUT THEN AGAIN TODAY WHILE DRIVING WITH MY YOUNG DAUGHTER THE ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN!! I TOO HAVE HAD MY SHARE OF BEING INCONVENIENCED BY TAKING TO MULTIPLE MECHANICS AND REPAIR SHOPS SAYING THEY NEED TO "MIMICK" THE ISSUE IN ORDER TO FIND THE PROBLEM. SINCE THIS ISSUE OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY, HOW IS THAT EXACTLY SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN??? CHRYSLER CORPORATE REALLY NEEDS TO STEP UP AND ADDRESS THIS ISSUE ASAP SINCE THIS APPEARS TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE AND POSSIBLE DEFECT ON THE PRODUCTS THEMSELVES USED WHEN MANUFACTURING THIS CAR AND/OR A HUGE DEFECT OF THIS PARTICULAR MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE, IN GENERAL! CHRYSLER - PLEASE HEAR US BEFORE YOU ALL ARE FACED WITH AN EVEN LARGER PENALTY THAN THE ONES USED TO RECENTLY BAIL YOU OUT - PLEASE DON'T MAKE A FURTHER MOCKERY OF THE PROCESS BY IGNORING THE VOICE OF YOUR CONSUMER ON SUCH A MAJOR HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE HAD THIS 2007 PACIFICA SINCE 2009, BOUGHT IT WITH 12,000 MILES ON IT. IT NOW HAS 109,000 MILES. IN THE PAST YEAR THE CAR HAS STALLED INTERMITTENTLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN AT STOPS, TOOK IT IN, NO PROBLEM FOUND. IT HAS ALSO HAD LIGHT SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD INTERMITTENTLY SINCE I BOUGHT IT, HAD IT LOOKED AT SEVERAL TIMES, NO PROBLEM FOUND. THIS WEEK I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AT @30ISH MPH WHEN IT STALLED ON A BUSY ROAD, BUT WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO TURN OFF THE ROAD WITH NO POWER STEERING SAFELY. IT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERS FOR 3 DAYS AND NO PROBLEM FOUND AT THIS POINT. I HAVE CHILDREN AND NO LONGER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THEM IN THIS VEHICLE. IF THER IS "NO PROBLEM" TO FIX, THAT IS A MAJOR PROBLEM, BECAUSE A CAR STALLING WAITING TO BE HIT AND SOMEONE INJURED, IS A PROBLEM!!! I HAVE CALLED CORPORATE AND AWAITING TO SPEAK WITH A CASE MANAGER ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ONLINE, IF THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT MIMIC THE ISSUE, THEN CORPORATE WILL LIKELY SAY THERE IS NO PROBLEM. I CANNOT JUST WAIT TO SEE IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, AND NEXT TIME ON THE HIGHWAY AS I HAVE READ IN OTHER CASES, WHEN SOMEONE COULD BE HURT! WITHIN MINUTES OF PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA TOURING SIMPLY SHUT DOWN. UNFORTUNATELY, IT WAS A SHOCK TO ME WHEN I LOST ACCELERATION AND POWER STEERING IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND IT TOOK ME A FEW SECONDS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I PULLED OVER WITH SOME DIFFICULTY AND PUT THE CAR INTO PARK. I WAS ABLE TO RE-START THE VEHICLE AND RETURNED HOME. SINCE THAT DATE, MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE AS IT WAS OUR TEENAGER'S PRIMARY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. I SHUDDER TO THINK WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO HER AS SHE IS A NEW DRIVER AND MY OWN REACTION TO THE INCIDENT WAS INAPPROPRIATE. I SHOULD HAVE PUT THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL AND RE-STARTED IT, BUT THANK GOD I DID LIVE AND LEARN. SINCE THAT INCIDENT MY HUSBAND HAS EXPERIENCED THE SAME LOSS OF POWER ON THREE ADDITIONAL OCCASIONS. I AM IN CONSTANT FEAR THAT THE CAR WILL SHUT DOWN WHILE PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC. IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED ONCE. THANKFULLY OTHER DRIVERS WERE AWARE AND WERE ABLE TO SLOW DOWN IN TIME FOR MY HUSBAND TO RE-COVER. AS I HAVE READ MANY OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS CONCERNING MY VEHICLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE, I AM HOPEFUL THAT CHRYSLER WILL ADDRESS THE PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE ENDS UP INJURED OR DEAD.

PURCHASED THE PACIFICA TOURING AWD IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER, 2013. IT WAS IN FABULOUS CONDITION. A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER, I EXPERIENCED MY FIRST OF EIGHT OCCURRENCES WHEREIN THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. ONCE THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, POWER BRAKES AND POWER STEERING DIDN'T FUNCTION PROPERLY, LIKELY BECAUSE THE ENGINE WAS NO LONGER RUNNING. FIVE OF THESE EIGHT OCCURRENCES HAVE BEEN WITHIN ONE MILE OF MY RESIDENCE. ADDITIONALLY, IT OCCURRED ONCE IN A PARKING LOT, ONCE IN AN INTERSECTION, AND ONCE AS I WAS GETTING ONTO AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. A FEW OF THE OCCURRENCES ALMOST RESULTED IN ACCIDENTS. I WAS AT THE MERCY OF THE OTHER DRIVERS IN THOSE CASES. I HAVE SIX GRANDCHILDREN. I'M HESITANT TO TAKE THEM ON TRIPS BECAUSE I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN MY PACIFICA'S SAFETY AND RELIABILITY. MY VEHICLE SAFETY COMPLAINT SEEMS EERILY SIMILAR TO NUMEROUS OTHER OWNER'S 2007 PACIFICA SAFETY COMPLAINTS. I PRAY CHRYSLER WILL INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE TO DETERMINE WHAT IS CAUSING THE ENGINE FAILURE BEFORE A PRECIOUS LIFE IS LOST. THE FIRST TIME I HAD TO HAVE THE MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED ON MY 07' CHRYSLER PACIFICA WAS IN 2009. THERE WAS AN AWFUL ALMOST SLAMMING TYPE NOISE AND THE VEHICLE "JUMPED" WHEN ACCELERATING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP, IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AT THAT TIME AND THEY SAID THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE CRACKED AND THEY WOULD REPLACE THEM, BUT COULDN'T GUARANTEE HOW LONG THEY WOULD LAST. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT IT WAS "AN ISSUE" ON THE PACIFICA MODEL AS IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW AND HE HAD SEEN THIS PROBLEM OFTEN. SINCE THE FIRST TIME THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE FOUND TO BE CRACKED IN 2009, I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE MOTOR MOUNTS 2 MORE TIME AND NOW THEY ARE BROKE AGAIN; TOTALING 4 TIMES IN 7 YEARS!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE! I HAVE CALLED CHRYSLER QUITE A FEW TIMES IN THE LAST 4 YEARS AND GOT NOWHERE! THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS THAT THE CONSUMER HAS TO PAY FOR THEIR "DESIGN FLAW"! IF I HAD KNOWN THAT I WOULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM KEEP REPEATING, I 100% WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE! THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS MOSTLY IT HAPPENS WHEN GOING AROUND CURVES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT THEY JUST SAID THEY COULD REPLACE THE 2 FUEL PUMPS FOR $900 BUT COULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING WHILE I AM DRIVING. IT GENERALLY HAPPENS WHILE TURNING LEFT AND ALWAYS UNDER THE SPEED OF 45 MPH. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO SEVERAL DEALERSHIPS WHO HAVE FIXED DIFFERENT THINGS THEY FEEL IS CAUSING THE STALLING AND NOTHING IS WORKING. I HAVE PAID FOR THE REPAIRS AND THE DEALERSHIP SAYS UNLESS IT HAPPENS WHEN THEY HAVE IT THEY CANT DIAGNOSE IT. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE THE CARS BEHIND ME HAVE NO WARNING THE CAR IS SHUTTING OFF. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER WHO TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER AND THEY WOULD "HELP" ME FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR. SO I DID AND THEY CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY AND GAVE ME NEW SPARK PLUGS. CHRYSLER WAS GOING TO MAKE ME PAY FOR THE REPAIRS AND I FOUGHT THEM ON IT AND THEY AGREED TO PAY FOR THE PARTS AND I PAID LABOR AND THE CAR IS STILL STALLING. I HAVE READ ONLINE HUNDREDS OF OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THEIR PACIFICA STALLING AND DOING THE SAME THING MINE IS. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE 2005/2006 VEHICLES FOR THE SAME THING BUT NOT FOR THE 07 MODEL. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW CHRYSLER CAN IGNORE THIS PROBLEM WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE AS THE VEHICLES THAT WERE RECALLED. FIRST WEEK IN JUNE I SENT MY CHRYSLER PACIFICA TO ATHENS DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP IN BOGART GA. THE STEERING WAS LOCKING UP ON MY WIFE. I FIGURED IT WAS MAYBE THE POWER STEERING. THE TECH INFORMED ME THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE AGAIN BROKEN AND THEY REPLACED THE RIGHT ONE FOR THE THIRD TIME. I READ IN SOCIAL CAR CHAT ROOMS THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE FAILING IN JUST ABOUT ALL THESE TYPE CARS, AND THAT CHRYSLER WAS NOT GOING TO COVER THE COSTS. I NOW HAVE A CAR THAT NO ONE WILL BUY OR AT LEAST I WOULDN'T BECAUSE IT CAN'T HOLD ITS OWN ENGINE. I KNOW THIS IS A CONSUMER CONCERN JUST WANTED TO POINT THAT OUT. AT APPROXIMATELY 40,000 MILES, WHILE A COMPUTER-RELATED RECALL REPAIR WAS BEING PERFORMED, I WAS INFORMED BY THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP THAT MOTOR MOUNTS WERE A POTENTIAL PROBLEM & TO KEEP A WATCH ON IT. I THOUGHT THIS WAS AN ODD COMMENT AT THE TIME, AS THE CAR WAS BARELY 3 YEARS OLD (AND, OF COURSE, OUT OF WARRANTY). FAST FORWARD TO APPROXIMATELY 70,000-75,000 MILES, AND WE STARTED HAVING ISSUES. THEY ARE PARTICULARLY NOTICEABLE WHEN I AM SLOWING TO A STOP, AND THEN RE-ACCELERATE (FOR INSTANCE, THE LIGHT CHANGED GREEN RIGHT AS I WAS SLOWING TO A STOP, SO I WOULD TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE & THEN ACCELERATE INSTEAD) - THE CAR WON'T MOVE RIGHT AWAY, AND THEN IT SUDDENLY "CLUNKS" INTO GEAR & LURCHES FORWARD. THE FORCE IS SO STRONG THAT I HAVE ALMOST REAR-ENDED SOMEONE ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER REGARDING THE ISSUE - HAVE BEEN TOLD IT ISN'T COVERED AS MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I THOUGHT CHRYSLER WOULD CERTAINLY ISSUE A RECALL, DUE TO THE SHEER VOLUME OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING THIS SAME ISSUE - BUT SO FAR THEY HAVE NOT. MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA BEGAN STALLING ON 8/17/2011. WE HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND RE-START, NO MATTER WHAT THE TRAFFIC CONDITIONS. WE LOSE ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKES WHEN THIS HAPPENS. AFTER ABOUT 3 STALLING INCIDENTS IN A SHORT TIME. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY HAD THE CAR FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND COULDN'T FIND THE CAUSE. THEY SENT ME HOME AND SAID TO KEEP A DIARY OF PROBLEMS. I KEPT TRACK FOR A YEAR. IN THAT TIME THE CAR HAD STALLED 24 TIMES. THE TIME OF DAY AND CONDITIONS WERE ALL NOTED. IN AUGUST OF THIS YEAR, THE CAR STALLED NUMEROUS TIMES. WE TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE DIARY. THEY HAVE HAD MY CAR SINCE 8/27/12. WE HAVE INCURRED $800.00 IN RENTAL CAR EXPENSE. THEY PUT A COMPUTER ON BOARD AND SENT THE CAR HOME WITH MY HUSBAND TO DRIVE FOR A WEEK. HE PUSHED THE BUTTON WHEN IT STALLED 4 TIMES. THE COMPUTER RECORDED THE STALLS, BUT NO CODES. THEY CAN'T RE-CREATE THE PROBLEM AND HAVE NO ANSWERS. I SOME TIMES DRIVE WITH OUR GRANDCHILDREN AND WILL NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED. MOTOR MOUNTS WERE REPLACED EARLY IN OUR OWNERSHIP. THE ONLY THING THAT CHRYSLER CAN OFFER WAS TO CLEAN THE THROTTLE BODY. THE DEALERSHIP DID THAT AND IT DIDN'T HELP. THE CAR HAS STARTED STALLING AT HIGHER SPEEDS. INITIALLY IT WAS 10-25 MPH. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 10-35 MPH, THE OIL AND ESP LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE, THEN THE ENGINE WILL SIMPLY CUT OFF / STALL. WE HAVE TO PUT ON THE EMERGENCY FLASHER WHILE IN TRAFFIC, PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL OR PARK AND RESTART. NO ENGINE LIGHT. WE BROUGHT THE PACIFICA IN TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP 5 TIMES AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY CODES. THEY TRIED UPDATING THE SOFTWARE ON THE ECM WHICH DID NOT HELP. THEN, THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE BAD AND THE TORQUE OF THE ENGINE WAS PULLING ON THE FRONT WIRING HARNESS(ES), CAUSING THE STALLING ISSUE. WE HAD ALL 3 (FRONT, REAR, UPPER) ENGINE/MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED AND THE ISSUE STILL HAPPENS EVERY TIME WE TRY TO DRIVE THE CAR. THE DEALERSHIP HAS THE CAR AGAIN AND SAID THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT STILL LOOKS LIKE IT IS BAD EVEN THOUGH IT WAS REPLACED 4 DAYS AGO. BASED ON WHAT I'VE READ IN THE NHTSA DATABASE AND THE DODGE DEALERSHIP TELLING ME THAT MOTOR MOUNTS GO OUT ON A LOT OF PACIFICAS, THIS IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF 2007 PACIFICA OWNERS. CHRYSLER SHOULD ABSOLUTELY RECALL THE MOTOR MOUNTS ON THIS VEHICLE AND PROVIDE A MORE RELIABLE REPLACEMENT MOTOR MOUNT WITH A ROBUST DESIGN AT NO CHARGE TO ALL PACIFICA OWNERS. MY WIFE HAS REPORTED THAT SHE HAS ALMOST BEEN REAR ENDED SEVERAL TIMES AS A RESULT OF SUDDENLY STALLING WHILE DRIVING. TO HAVE THIS VEHICLE COMPLETELY STALL OUT WHILE MY WIFE IS TAKING MY 3 KIDS TO SCHOOL OR OTHER ACTIVITIES COULD CAUSE A CRASH AND IS POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING.
