ON THE DATE OF 01/16/2001 I WAS TRAVELING IN THE FAR LEFT HAND LANE WHEN THE TIRE FOR SOME REASON GAVE WAY, PULLING ME TO THE RIGHT DRASTICLY NARROWLY MISSING OTHER TRAFFIC I HAVE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE ONLY PLACE I COULD RIGHT NOW . MY QUESTION IS WHAT DO I DO?*AK

WHEN PUTTING THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION WITH FOOT ON THE BRAKES VEHICLE WILL SHIFT IN ANY GEAR POSTION. *AK
BACKED OUT OF DRIVEWAY PUT CAR IN DRIVE, WOULDN'T MOVE. SHIFTED TO DRIVE 1 STILL NO GO, DRIVE 2 STILL NO GO. PUT BACK IN PARK SHIFTED TO DRIVE AND IT WAS FINE. THE KEY REMOVAL PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING, I'VE JUST HAD THE CAR TWO WEEKS, HAVE TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK AND PUSH IT VERY HARD INTO PARK TO GET MY KEY OUT.
WHILE DRIVING AT STEADY SPEED, WHEN YOU APPLY MORE PRESSURE TO GAS PEDAL TO EXCEL CAR GETS STUCK IN THE GEAR IT WAS TRAVELING IN, YOU HAVE TO PULL OVER PLACE IT IN PARK AND START OVER AGAIN.
TRANSMISSION WILL NOT GO INTO PARK, AND WILL NOT ALLOW CONSUMER TO REMOVE KEY FROM IGNITION. *AK
TRANSMISSION SURGING AND JERKING CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL AND NEAR ACCIDENT.
