On December 15, 2025, while driving my 2008 Chrysler Sebring in Indianapolis, Indiana, I noticed smoke coming from the driver’s side near the battery. Shortly afterward, the car completely stopped responding — the brakes and steering were unresponsive — and the vehicle caught fire in that area. I exited the car safely, and the fire department responded and extinguished the fire. The exact cause of the fire is unknown, but I suspect a battery or electrical component failure. No warning lights appeared prior to the incident, except for the smoke I noticed. The incident has not yet been inspected by a dealer, manufacturer, or insurance representative. If inspection is needed, the affected parts can be examined in the tow lot, but much of the vehicle has been destroyed, and there is very little left of the car due to the fire. The safety of myself and others was at risk due to the sudden loss of braking and steering control, as well as the vehicle catching fire while on the road. The problem has not been reproduced, and I am reporting it to ensure the incident is recorded for safety monitoring and potential investigation.

The car loss compression in the middle of driving. Try to crank it but it drains the battery. Also, I bought the car a year the buy here pay here company ripped out the lemon law page for Tennessee but kept the other pages in.

Engine frequently stalls while driving. I've had my car shut off while I'm driving many times, the steering wheel and brakes lock up and it makes it hard to get off the street to safety. This happens a LOT. It is very dangerous and scary. I get anxiety everytime I drive because I'm scared of it happening again. My car once turned off in the middle of a busy intersection while trying to turn. It came on after about 45 seconds but it was terrifying. Battery often dies (just replaced it). Horn would go off randomly without stopping for a long time. I had to disconnect the horn (on both sides) because it would keep randomly going off with no way to stop it. Cruise control stopped working one day. Sometimes it comes up when I press cruise control but it turns off when I try setting a speed. Drivers window broke inside, I think something snapped inside the door. I've had it replaced 3 times but it keeps breaking. A/C makes an awful grinding noise sometimes, but it goes away if I turn the A/C off then back on. Also with the A/C, a door or something inside the dash will get stuck every so often and it makes a LOUD clicking like noise but it goes away after about 20 seconds (something to do with the actuator?). Brake light will come on sometimes when I stop. It goes away shortly after I start driving again. ABS light has been on my dash for a few months now. Most of these issues have been happening for over a year now. Most of this shows up under a recall from 2008, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: WIRING. It doesn't show up under my VIN number but I'm having the same exact problems.

I was on my way to work. All the warning light appeared on my dash. Then all the warning light, radio, speedometer gage and all head light and tail lights went out. I was driving in the dark. My engine bogged down no power. I was barley moving. I replaced the battery no difference. I replaced the alternator worked for 3 minutes and then the car was back to the same as before. I contacted a nearby mechanic facility they told me that it was most definitely the fuse panel under the hood. That's its not a recall but a lawsuit replacement. I notified the manufacturer and they told me my Vin number was not under recall. I'm confused on what to do not. I'm in no way able to purchase a new vehicle at this time. Nor spend hundreds or thousands in repairs. Please help.

purchased may 15th.and now car sits in my apartment parking lot as a roadblock for all tenants since May 27th. 2008sebring started fine.drove 2 miles roundtrip, vehicle ride was rough upon turning into residence thankfully I was not on the street in traffic when the car decided to stop ,the windows were down I still have not been able to get them rolled up .lights instrument panel lights went haywire flashing,ding chime sound continuous. the backdash illuminate light has never worked. wont accept jump from cables,has power in areas under hood, charged to 12v on charger able to get code (DTC-U1403 implausible fuel level signal. Just like the recall of the wiring issue it's similar. The week this happened the tire pressure indicator in the lower left corner of Dash was lit up and the cruise control light would come on but when engaged it would not drive at the limit set only reduce is speed the stereo CD changer didn't work I thought it was just because it was old the cigarette lighter which I used for my power source the light on that device would flicker in and out showing it wasn't getting a good connection the key would get stuck in the ignition or do a continuous storage where you it would not spring back as it should you'd have to turn it off and then try to restart it the battery in the fob work just fine before all of this took place now the battery is dead in the fob as well. it won't hold a charge I want to know how it's going to get fixed and with whose money?? $95 for Diagnostic.while covering windows later that night,I was able to see a dim red light where the tire pressure indicator was lit up at the fuses are fine the battery is 6 months old but it is constantly draining I it won't stay charged I can't get it out of gear it to put it in neutral to move it anywhere. Main purpose was to get me to my doctor appointments now I can't even do that& I haven't been able to do that.. i think this recall has Revisited. its unsafe

In February 2021 my car wouldn’t stop, tried to give it a jump and it still wouldn’t start. Replaced the battery and it started working again. In April 2021 my engine light came on. I got a diagnostic and the error code read: P2016 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Low Bank 1. I didn’t get it fixed. Shortly after, I began hearing a faint crackling noise and noticed when I would drive on turn pikes my a red brake symbol would briefly pop up on my dash board and then go away. In May 2021 my horn stopped working and front right turn signal light stopped working. I tried to get a new one installed it wouldn’t work. I was told it could be an electrical issue. In July 2021 my right low beam head light stopped working. I tried to get a new bulb installed and it still wouldn’t work. At this time I was told the same thing, that it seems like there may be an electrical issue. This month, November 2021, a few days ago on Monday November 1st, I began noticing an acceleration issue in the morning. I would press the accelerator and it wouldn’t pick up until a few seconds later, it was like a delay. Later that day while I was driving on the free way a red flash symbol with lines between it began flashing on my car and my car wouldn’t drive over 20 mph. I pulled over. Shortly after I turned my car back on and it began driving semi normal and I was able to get home. I tried out my car the next day and in the morning the same thing happened again. The red flash symbol with 2 lines on the side of it began flashing on my dashboard and my car wouldn’t go over 20 mph. I’m not sure what the issue is but when I looked up what the red flashing symbol, I noticed a few others who had a similar experience with their 2008 Chrysler Sebring which made me want to look up whether there was a recall and I found out there was but when I searched whether my car was eligible through my VIN number it said there was none unrepaired.

My TPS light has been on for quite some time and after a short time since the first time it appeared my issue worsens everyday. My car STALLS, not only when I am stopped at a light, but even when I am driving at high speeds and the Check Engine light stays on all the time and blinks and dings at times and now the airbag light is on as well and blinks and dings all the time while the car is started. I took the car to get check for error codes, but none come up when the diagnostics is ran.

THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND WAITED FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT LINKED THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V152000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 174,000.

THE CONVERTIBLE ROOF WOULD OPEN WITH PAUSING. THE TRUNK WAS STUCK OPEN NOT CLOSING BUT YOU COULD HEAR MOTOR. NOW TRUNK CLOSED AND STAY CLOSED WITH NO MOTOR SOUND. CONVERTIBLE TOP ISN'T OPENING BUT WHEN CAR DRIVES AT 30MPH THE ROOF FLIES OPEN. THE DASHBOARD LIGHT WOULD GO OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING,CAUSING UNABLE TO SEE MPH OR ANYTHING. I CAN NOT DRIVE DUE TO FEAR OF BEING IN A ACCIDENT OR CAUSING ONE SINCE THE CAR IS MALFUNCTIONING AND THE ROOF WILL FALL OFF ON ROUTINE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WITH SPEED LIMITS THE CAR CAN'T EXCEED.

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS RECENTLY WITH THE CAR STAHLING OUT AND OR GETTING STUCK IN LOW GEAR WHILE DRIVING ON THE HWY, IT WAS TERRIFYING! WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT AT HOME AND HAVE A 10 HOUR DRIVE BACK HOME WHILE DRIVING THIS EXTREMELY UNSTABLE CAR AND AM HONESTLY SCARED TO DEATH WE ARE GOING TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT! THIS IS THE 3RD BATTERY SWAP WE'VE DONE IN 3 MONTHS BUT ONLY HAVE LAST 2 RECEIPTS. WE HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND THIS CAR HAS HAD ELECTRICAL RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM HOWEVER APPARENTLY OUR VIN DONT MATCH UP TO THE RECALL. I DONT UNDERSTAND IT, THIS IS EXTREMELY HORRIBLE BUSINESS FROM CHRYSLER AND AS SOON AS WE CAN GET HOME HOPEFULLY SAFELY.. WE WONT BUY ANOTHER. PLEASE HELP FAST!

MY 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SINCE NOVEMBER 9, 2019. DEFECTIVE TIPM. THE STARTER HAS CAUGHT FIRE 3 TIMES. VEHICLE STALLS OUT AND LEAVES YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED. IGNITION SWITCH IS GETTING HOT WHEN KEYS ARE IN AND THE KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION. TIPM WAS REPLACED. CAR IS STILL NOT RUNNING DUE TO DEALERSHIP NOT KNOWING WHAT NEW PARTS TO TRY. HAVE ALSO HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH COOLING SYSTEMS/FAN NOT WORKING PROPERLY.

3 SEPERATE BUT RELATED EVENTS. MY HORN BEGAN HONKING AT RANDOM TIMES, EVENTUALLY I COULD NOT TURN IT OFF WHILE IN MY PARKING GARAGE AT WORK. ENDED UP REMOVING BATTERY CONNECTION TO STOP THE HONKING. WHEN I ARRIVED HOME I DISCONNECTED THE HORNS. MY WIPERS RANDOMLY DO NOT WORK. I'VE HAD TO RELY ON RAINX. SOMETIMES THEY WORK AND OTHER TIMES I CANT TURN THEM OFF. THEY SOMETIMES STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDOW. LAST ISSUE WAS COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING AT 70MPH. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. STRANGE THING WAS IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP. BUT 10 MILES LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED. BASED ON THESE 3 THINGS HAPPENING WITHIN THE LAST MONTH I THINK IT IS PART OF THE TIPM MODULE. MANY COMPLAINTS AND THIS ITEM IS PART OF A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AND A VOLUNTARY RECALL FOR OTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLE IN THE SAME YEAR RANGE AS MY VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V152000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); ALTHOUGH, THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE. THE GAS PED STOPPED WORKING WHILE THIS WAS OCCURING AND I WAS UNABLE TO GET BACK UP TO SPEED. IT EVENTUALLY KICKED OUT OF IT BUT DID IT AGAIN THE FOLLOWING WEEK, DRIVING OUT OF MY PARKING LOT AT WORK RPMS DROPPED AND WAS UNABLE TO USE MY GAS PED. I GOTIT AGAIN TO GET OUT OF IT BUT ALL ITS GOING TO TAKE IS THIS HAPPENING AND A CAR BEHIND ME AND AND ACCIDENT WILL HAPPEN

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED LAST NOVEMBER FROM A PRIVATE SELLER. SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG CLOCK SPRING, BATTERY CABLES, AND NOW I AM EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY WINDOWS AND COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR. MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW HAS FALLEN INTO THE DOOR SEVERAL TIMES DO TO A FAULTY TRACK. MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING DO TO A FAULTY BUTTON. AND LASTLY, MY COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAILED ON ME 2 MONTHS AGO. I CANNOT DRIVE ANY FURTHER THAN A MILE WITHOUT MY CAR REDLINING. I CHECKED FOR A LEAK IN MY HOSES AND SEALS AND HAVE FOUND NOTHING. MY ANTIFREEZE RESERVOIR BURNS SO HOT IT ACTUALLY EVAPORATES THE ANTIFREEZE. I HAVE GONE THROUGH 6 FULL SIZE BOTTLES OF ANTIFREEZE IN A 2 MONTHS PERIOD. I HAVE A NOTICEABLY HIGH IDLE WHENEVER THE CAR STARTS TO GET THE BELOW THE FULL LINE AND NOW I HAVE AN ENGINE PING. THE OVERHEAT ISSUE OCCURS WHENEVER IT DECIDES IT WANTS TO. MY DASHBOARD DISPLAY GOES IN AND OUT INTERMITTENTLY AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS TURN ON AT RANDOM WHENEVER I USE MY SIGNAL TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. THIS VEHICLE IS FULL OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT I CANNOT AFFORD TO FIX. THE TRUTH IS, I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE WITH THE SMALL CUT OF LIFE INSURANCE MONEY I GOT THE MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY. I AM DISABLED AND THIS IS CURRENTLY MY ONLY SOURCE OF TRANSPORTATION. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME SERIOUS LOOKING INTO THE CHRYSLER SEBRING FROM 2006 ON UP. I CANNOT BE THE ONLY ONE EXPERIENCING THIS MYRIAD OF PROBLEMS.

BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY THE ENGINES SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN BUT RESTARTED WITHOUT AN ISSUE. LATER THAT DAY THE RED WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE STARTED TO HAVE NO POWER AND THEN STALED I WAS ABLE TO MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SAW THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR LIGHT WAS ON (WITCH I LOOKED UP IN OWNER MANUAL. WAS ABLE TO GET IT STARTED AGAIN AND DROVE IT TO MY MECHANIC WHO TESTED IT AND SAID I NEEDED A THROTTLE BODY.T HAT WAS REPLACED NOW 4 DAYS LATER I WAS ON A HOV LANE DOING 65 LIGHT CAME ON ENGINE SPUTTERED BUT DIDN'T STALL ARRIVED AT DESTINATION WHEN I GOT BACK IN CAR LIGHT WAS OUT AND CAR STARTED. DRIVING HOME I HAD TO PULL OVER SEVERAL TIMES WHEN LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED . MY CONCERN IS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ESPECIALLY WHERE I LIVE THERE ARE LONG TUNNELS I TRAVEL THROUGH HOPEFULLY IT DOESN'T DO THIS TO ANYONE DRIVING THROUGH THEM AND ANYWHERE THAT WOULD DEFINITELY CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT , THE INITIAL REPAIR TO REPLACE THROTTLE BODY WAS $271 AND AN ADDITIONAL $88 FOR SAME ISSUE NOW THROTTLE PEDAL NEEDS REPLACED COST AT THIS TIME UNKNOWN

TYSON MOTOR CORPORATION (1 SW FRONTAGE RD SHORWOOD, IL) WAS ALSO CONTACTED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 07V473000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AND 08V152000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER (LANDERS CHRYSLER/DODGE IN SOUTH HAVEN, MISSISSIPPI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TPMS FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO MY TPMS SENSOR ON MY DRIVER SIDE STOP WORKING, NOT EVEN A MONTH LATER MY CAR STARTED STALLING. I WOULD BE AT A LIGHT, STOP SIGN, OR PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND IT WOULD JUST STALL. SO I HAD THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED AT NOT EVEN 70,000 MILES WHICH SOLVED THE STALLING ISSUE. THEN ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO I NOTICED WHEN I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE DRIVING TO TAMPA FROM ORLANDO AND I PUT THE CRUISE CONTROL ON AND MY CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN ON I4 AND ALMOST GOT ME HIT BY A SEMI TRUCK BUT HE WAS THANKFULLY ABLE TO SWERVE INTO THE LANE BESIDE ME. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND TOLD THEM THE ISSUE AND THEY SAID WELL THERE IS A RECALL ON THE TPMS BUT YOUR VIN NUMBER DOESN'T MATCH AND TURNED ME AWAY. THEN A FEW WEEKS LATER I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY PASSENGER SIDE DOOR NOT LOCKING AND THE WINDOW GOING UP BEFORE THE DOOR WAS SHUT, AND WOULD HAVE TO MESS WITH IT TO GET THE DOOR TO ACTUALLY SHUT. THEN ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO MY RPMS WHERE JUMPING ERECTLY AND MY DAD WHO IS A MECHANIC CLEANED ALL THE CARBON OUT IN MY MOTOR AND I WAS STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THEN TODAY MY CAR SHIFT WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK AND MY DADS FRIEND NOTICED THE CABLE IN THE MOTOR WAS POPPED OUT AND POPPED IT BACK IN. SO I DRIVE TO CLASS AND WHEN I GET ON CAMPUS AND GO TO PARK MY CAR MY VAR GETS STUCK IN REVERSE AND I HAD TO SIT IN THERE FOR OVER AN HOUR WITH MY FOOT ON THE BREAK BEFORE SOMEONE WAS ABLE TO HELP ME. THIS CAR NEEDS A SERIOUS INVESTIGATION AND CHRYSLER REFUSES TO HELP ME WHEN I HAVE LESS THAN 95,000 MILES ON THE CAR AND MY ISSUES MATCH THERE RECALL PERFECTLY. THESE ISSUES COULD LEAD ME OR SOMEONE ELSE TO GET KILLED OR SERIOUSLY HURT, BUT I GUESS THEY WONT DUE ANYTHING UNTIL ENOUGH PEOPLE GET KILLED OR INJURED TO REALIZE THERES A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE.

HORN AND PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM WENT OUT ON MY 4-CYL. 2.4L 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING SEDAN ABOUT A MONTH AGO. I REPLACED THE BULB, WHICH IS LABOR INTENSIVE ON THIS CAR IN ITSELF AND THE LOW BEAM STILL DID NOT WORK. I TESTED THE NEW BULB AND IT WORKED FINE. I MOVED THE BULB TO THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADLAMP AND IT WORKED FINE. THE HARNESS FOR THE BULB CONNECTOR CARRIES A 12V CURRENT BUT STILL THE LOW BEAM DOES NOT WORK. EVERY ONLINE SEARCH POINTS TO A FAULTY TIPM(TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). I CAN'T AFFORD A NEW ONE AT $595 AND THAT'S IF I REPLACE IT MYSELF. I'M UNABLE TO FIND A COMPATIBLE USED PART AT SALVAGE YARDS IN THE AREA AND CHRYSLER DEALER SAYS THERE IS CURRENTLY A MONTH LONG NATIONAL BACKORDER ON THE PART AND IS UNSURE IF I'LL HAVE A REPLACEMENT IN A MONTH. THIS ALONE SHOULD BE A RED FLAG THAT THERE IS AN UNDERLYING ISSUE AT CHRYSLER. IN THE MEAN TIME I CONTINUE TO SEARCH SALVAGE YARDS AND AM LOOKING FOR A WAY TO BYPASS THE TIPM TO GET THE HEADLAMP WORKING, WHICH IN ITSELF COULD STILL LEAVE ME OPEN TO OTHER FAILURES ON THE TIPM. ALL THIS SAID, I'M WONDERING IF OTHER ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WILL START TO GO SOON AS WELL. AS IT IS I'M HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE HORN, WHICH I BELIEVE ALSO RUNS THROUGH THE TIPM.

THIS WOULD CURE THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, THE BATTERY WAS TRASH AND IT COST HIM OVER $300 TO REPLACE. THE KNEW BATTERY DIDN'T LAST A YEAR. THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY B/C IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, NOW THEY SAID, THAT AFTER THE TEST PERFORMED A DRAW TEST, THERE WAS AN INTERMITTENT DRAW OF 1 AMP OR MORE AT TIMES. THEY COULDN'T ISOLATE THE CIRCUIT AND THAT IT SEEMED TO BE SOMETHING INTERNAL TO TIPM CAUSING ISSUE. ON MONDAY 1/28/2013 AFTER A HEAVY MORNING OF SNOWING AND RAINING, I BEGAN TO RUN ERRANDS. ALL OF SUDDEN MY CAR 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING STALLED AS I WAS DRIVING. I STARTED THE CAR IMMEDIATELY BACK UP WITH NO PROBLEMS HOWEVER SHORTLY AFTERWARDS PULLING UP TO A TRAFFIC LIGHT THE CAR STALLED AGAIN. EVERYTHING IN THE CAR GOES OFF AS IF SOMEONE HAS TURNED THE IGNITION KEY TO OFF POSITION. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS THERE ARE NO WARNING TO THE POSSIBILITY THE CAR IS ABOUT TO STALL. TUESDAY 1/29/13 I TOOK MY CAR TO A LOCAL REPAIR CHAIN AS IT CONTINUED TO STALL AND THEY REPORTED NOT FINDING ANYTHING ELECTRICAL WRONG WITH THE CAR NOR MECHANICAL. HOWEVER, THEY SUGGESTED THAT WHEN CARS STALL SOMETIMES IT MAY BE THE SPARK PLUGS MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED. SO BASED ON THEIR SUGGESTION I HAD THE SPARK PLUGS REPLACED/TUNE UP. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM AS I DROVE HOME CAR STALLED. ON WEDNESDAY 1/20/13, I TOOK THE CAR TO ANOTHER TRUSTED MECHANIC AND THEY REPORTED THE PROBLEM BEING ELECTRICAL AND MANUFACTURED DUE TO HOW THE CAR TOTALLY SHUTS DOWN AND NOT REGISTERING WITH THE DASH BOARD A PROBLEM. ON 1/31/13 I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP ONLY FOR THEM TO CONFIRM, SO FAR, WHAT THE OTHER TWO MECHANICS ALREADY TOLD ME, ITS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM THAT IS NOT SHOWING UP ON DASH. FOR THREE DAYS THE CAR STALLED APRX. 11 TIMES AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND/OR IN MOTION. I HAVE READ THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2007-2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING'S HOWEVER WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER I WAS TOLD THAT DID NOT INCLUDE MY CAR DUE TO IT BEING MANUFACTURED A MONTH LATER THAN THE RECALL CARS. ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2010, I PURCHASED A 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING FROM A DEALERSHIP IN PLYMOUTH, WI. THE CAR HAD 19,204 MILES ON IT. THE CAR ALSO HAD BRIDGESTONE TURANZA TIRES. I TOOK MY CAR INTO TIRES PLUS FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT 22,700 MILES ON THE DASH. I WAS TOLD BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT I NEEDED NEW TIRES, BECAUSE MY TIRES HAD 3/32 OF TREAD ON THEM. ON JANUARY 28, 2011, THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE CAR SO GANDRUD INSTALLED A AUTO TRANS SHIFT LEVER INTERLOCK SPRING.THEY ALSO CHECKED TIRE PRESSURE AND SET TIRE PRESSURE. A ABOUT A MONTH LATER, I STARTED HAVING TROUBLE WITH GETTING MY KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION SWITCH. HAVING TO WIGGLE THE STEERING COLUMN TO GET IT OUT. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO GANDRUD TO HAVE THEM CHECK IT AND THEY TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. ON MAY 11, 2011, I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR ANOTHER OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION. GANDRUD TOLD ME I HAD 4/32 TREAD ON THE TIRES AT 30,026 MILES. ON JUNE 24, 2011, I TOOK IT BACK TO GANDRUD FOR ANOTHER OIL CHANGE AT 33,572 MILES ON THE DASH AND WAS TOLD I HAD 4/32 OF TIRE TREAD LEFT ON THE TIRES. IT WAS NOT TWO MONTHS LATER, I MOVED TO MILWAUKEE, WI. ON AUGUST 18, 2011, AMATO HYUNDAI WAS RUNNING A SPECIAL FOR $12.00 AN OIL CHANGE. I WENT GOT AN OIL CHANGE AND THE TECHNICIAN THERE TOLD ME I NEEDED TO GET NEW TIRES FOR THE CAR. HE STATED AT THIS TIME I HAD LESS THAN 2/32 OF TREAD ON MY TIRE. I GOT A QUOTE FROM THE SERVICE GUY, DECIDED I CAN BEAT THAT PRICE.SET-UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH TIRES PLUS FOR FOUR TIRES AN ALIGNMENT. UNFORTUNATELY, I DID NOT MAKE IT TO GET MY NEW TIRES ON THE CAR. ON SEPTEMBER 03, 2011, I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON THE FREEWAY. I WAS TRAVELING IN FAR LEFT LANE, MANEUVERING TO THE MIDDLE LANE WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL AND MY TIRES WERE NO LONGER FUNCTIONING TOGETHER. I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE THAT DAY, BUT GOD SO FIT FOR ME TO LIVE TO TELL ABOUT IT. IT WAS THE MOST SHOCKING DAY OF MY LIFE. I THANK GOD I AM HERE TO MAKE A COMPLAINT. TL-THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE WAITING AT A STOP LIGHT HE NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE WOULD REV UNEXPECTEDLY AND THAT IT WOULD ALSO STALL WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER AND THEY ADVISED HIM THAT THE BATTERY HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE BATTERY, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE STALLING OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. TB

I WAS TRAVELING BACK TO LOS ANGELES,CA FROM SEDONA, AZ. IT HAD BEEN RAINING OFF/ON ALL DAY. SOMETIMES LIGHTLY AND OFTEN TIMES VERY HEAVY WITH WAKE WATER COMING OFF OF OTHER CARS AND TRUCKS ON A VERY BUSY CA HIGHWAY. MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING DURING HEAVY DOWNPOUR TWICE. HAD TO CRAWL OFF THE FREEWAY WHILE UNABLE TO SEE BECAUSE OF NO WIPERS. HAD TO WAIT AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE THEY WOULD WORK AGAIN AFTER THE FIRST FAILURE. WAS ABLE TO TRAVEL USING THE DELAYED INTERMITTENT SEQUENCE UNTIL RAIN GOT TOO HEAVY. WHEN SWITCHED TO FASTER WIPING AFTER TEN MINUTES WIPERS STOPPED AGAIN. LUCKILY AGAIN I WAS ABLE TO CRAWL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND I WAITED FOR THE RAIN TO STOP. I HAVE NOT HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE AND I HAVE DRIVEN LONG AND SHORT DISTANCES IN THE RAIN. ANOTHER ISSUE IS I HAVE HAD ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS OVER THE LAST YEAR AND 1/2, THE CAR SHUT OFF/STALL WHILE WAITING AT RED LIGHTS, AND ONCE WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING IT STARTED TO STALL. AT NO TIME DID THE ENGINE MALFUNCTION LIGHT,OR ELECTRICAL LIGHT COME ON OR STAY ON. I WAS TOLD BY CHRYSLER TECHNICIANS/MECHANICS THAT UNLESS THE LIGHT STAYS ON THEY CAN'T DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. OTHERWISE THE FAILURE HAD TO BE DUPLICATED, I.E, HAVE TO OCCUR IN THE PRESENCE OF THE TECHNICIANS. WELL YOU KNOW HOW THAT GOES. I UNDERSTAND THAT MY CAR WAS NOT PART THE 08V152000 RECALL, BUT THIS SITUATION IS DANGEROUS. PLEASE HELP.

WE HAVE A 08 CHRYSLER SEBRING IT WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO WE WERE TOLD IT WAS THE BATTERY CHARGED 75. FOR A DIAG FEE. THE CAR ITSELF DIES WHEN AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LITE IT WILL SUDDENLY REV UP THE MOTOR AND JUST TURN OFF. IT STARTED TO STALL AND NOT TURN ON THE BATTERY WAS HAVING TO BE CHARGED OVER AND OVER. FINALLY WE CHANGED THE STARTER AND BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY THAT WAS 2 MONTHS AGO.NOW IT IS DOING THE SAME THING THE BATTERY IS DYING WE HAVE JUST TAKEN IT IN TO GET RECHARGED JUST TO FIND OUT IF IT IS THE ALTERNATOR. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP BEING SERVICED. I TOOK THE CAR IN BECAUSE SUDDENLY THE CAR BEGIN TO MAKE A HORRIBLE NOISE, THAT I DESCRIBED TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE AS A NOISY FAN BELT, THAT WHINNIED WHILE DRIVING, BUT NOISIEST WHILE IN PARK, ODILIMG AT THE STOP LIGHT. I TOOK THE CAR IN AND THEY PRETENDED NOT TO HAVE A CLUE, AND BEGIN TO INQUIRE ABOUT OIL CHANGES AND OTHER SUGGESTED MAINTENANCE, I SHOWED THE WRITER AND MECHANIC MY MOST CURRENT MAINTENANCE RECEIPT PRINTOUT ALONG WITH THE PREVIOUS DATES, SO THEY BACKED AWAY FROM THE INDIRECT ACCUSATIONS THAT IT WAS POSSIBLY MY FAULT. THE POWER STEERING PUMP IS DEFECTED, THE PULLEY FROZE, AND THE ALTERNATOR. THE CAR HAS ONLY BEEN USED TO TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN TO AND FROM SCHOOL AND SOCIAL EVENTS, AND MY TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORK, GROCERY STORES AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE. MY MILEAGE IS 31,418. ALSO THE RECALL TITLED ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING;COOLING SYSTEM RADIATOR ID#55084. THE ALTERNATOR IS AN ELECTRICAL OPERATING PIECE, IT ALSO TIE INTO THE RECALL TITLED "TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR, BECAUSE ONE OF THE CONSEQUENCES INCLUDE STALLING, AND BATTERY CORROSION, AND STOPPING WITHOUT NOTICE, WHICH IS ALSO CAUSED BY A DEFECTED ALTERNATOR. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 28,290 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.
