while driving my kids to school going on a curve about 15 mph, the car shutdown and loss control of power steering and the braking. Findings upon inspection and diagnostics review, it was determined that the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) Module is faulty. This component is critical to vehicle ignition and operation. The failure of the WIN module causes the engine to complete shut down while the vehicle was in motion on the highway. The shutdown resulted in an immediate loss of power steering and power breaking functions, leaving the driver with severely reduced control of the vehicle. Such a malfunction poses a significant safety hazard, as the driver is unable to maintain proper handling or safely maneuver the vehicle during operation. The WIN Module has fail and must be replace immediately. Continued operation without repair could result in repeated engine shutdowns, increasing the risk of a crash or serious injury. Need replace the WIN Module with an OEM or certified equivalent part. Reprogram/ reinitialize the module as per manufacturer specifications. Test drive post-repair to ensure reliability and safety.

The key was lost, so I had a locksmith replace it. Later in the next week, my husband had another key made, and I drove it for about a week, then when I was driving on an interstate at 65mph everything quit, including the power steering. I was lucky to get it pulled over to the side of the road. I took it to my mechanic, who thought it might be the computer b/c several different problems came up on the diagnostics. They could not fix it, so I had it towed to a bigger automotive place, who replaced an engine oil pressure switch but it still would not start or run so they suggested sending it to Chrysler. now I'm having it towed to Tri Lakes Chrysler in Branson MO who says they don't know if they can fix it.

Greetings, June 30, 2023 incident of our van stalling and shutting off while driving. The traction control warning light comes on, van automatically slows down and shuts off. When this happened, unable to steer, no control of brakes or accelerator along with being dangerous. Took vehicle into Midas as they are closest to my work. After testing they determined it was the WIN Module. Since June 30th 2023 to September 10th 2023 this issue happened over a dozen times. Luckily, no one was ever directly behind us and we were able to pull over safely, shut van off, wait one minute and start up again then was fine. The issue always happened while traveling under 30 MPH. I am so grateful we, nor anyone else was injured. Midas informed me back early August 2023 that there was a recall on this exact same module, but recall didn't include our van. I spoke with Russ Darrow Dodge and let them know about our issue and got vehicle in and WIN module replaced on September 12, 2023.

While driving at posted limits, the van will shut off without warning. This has happened 5 times. We have been fortunate that no cars have been following close behind, so we have been able to pull the van off the side of the road, stop and re-start the van. I have had a dealer and another mechanic look at the ignition and attempt to trouble shoot. However, nothing is ever found. This does not happen with any consistency...it is very random.

Vehicle shot off while driving at approximately 25 mph to 30 mph twice during a round trip. No control of the vehicle. Pulled over and put vehicle into park and restarted the vehicle. Very concerning. There is a safety recall on 2010 Chrysler Town and Country for this serious problem but not for this VIN number. Why not? If this happened at a higher speed or with traffic present the outcome and consequence could be significant. Please advise.

The van's ignition switch intermittently won't fully go into the off position so I can fully turn off the car and lock the doors. Sometimes the key fob pops out when I'm driving. Sometimes I am unable to remove the key from the ignition switch and unable to turn off the engine normally. Upon getting the part number off the ignition switch and searching for a replacement to purchase, I discovered other owners experienced the same problems and a recall was done. I contacted the dealer and was shock to find out my van is not being acknowledged in the recall despite my issues experienced and articles published indicating the year, make and model of my van and a recall specific to my issue. Not sure what the actual problem is - the car has been stalling using occuring when first using the vehicle in the morning, leaving the driveway on a small side street, or at a stop or signal sign. It starts with the light saying the car is driving irregular, then other lights come on and may go back on - then at a light will go on and stop completely. I found that others are having the same problems when you are going under 30 mph. I have replaced the battery, the TIPM, broke switch, reprogramed the power control module, ignition switch. Receiver 08035031, transmtr 08059057,sensor cr 08037155. Also Checked the engine and all codes. The worst problem beside the fact it stalls in the middle of the road is that I had trouble getting it smoged. Lastly on one occasion it started doing funny things and I went on to the freeway, so at 55mph the speedometer went crazy up and down no consistent with my speed and then when I was pulling into the parking lot it stalled completely. Also once it stalled and all the electrical also went out , no emergency blinkers, no window opening, no radio. I have spent more than $3,000 with the dealer and no relief, It is almost happening every time I go out were before it was only occasional. The exact date is unknown but it is more than 2 years.

For the past several years we have tried to get power to examine the conditio. To no avail. Several times a week when we are driving the car will shut off and we lose power steering, the van turns off and we have to switch it into park to continue. Some day it happens several times. It seems like it is an occurance happening in other cars. ( see NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID:
14V373000. & 11V139000 ). I am worried bc it has almost led to several wrecks:.. it effects electrical. The ignition. Power steering and more. Also the air conditioner/ coolest has stopped working. We have to have tried multiple solutions with no avail… please help! And let me know if I can help With anything!

I was driving from my grandmother's house to burger King and back. One way is about 6 blocks. It stalled on my twice on the way there and the only reason I noticed was either trying to press the gas and it didn't go any faster or trying to turn and the power steering didn't work. On the way back to my grandparents it stalled 4 times. Literally while I was driving every single time! Not at stop signs. And then the traction light would come on. I just bought this van for $4000 in minnesota and did a tune up that costed me $500. Literally only had this van one week as of today. Had no problems other than a misfire from cylinder 1 on the way home with it. It just needed a new coil. Please help me! This was suppose to be a vehicle for my 18 month old and I and now it's not even safe for him to be in. I live in wisconsin.

Keys (pod) get stuck in ignition cannot remove them and cannot shift out of park to remove them, the shifting piece won't move out of park but the car start but can't shift gears or remove the key pod.

Steering Wheel Emblem and retainer. This emblem and retainer can become a flying object in the vehicle if the steering wheel air bag is deployed in a accident and cause injury to individuals within the vehicle. Dealership stated they don’t have the parts to fix this recall. No this recall is still open per Chrysler and has been open for awhile. I called a dealership and was advised they would just put tape over the emblem. Tape will not hold the emblem and retainer in place once the air bag deploys. “Tape” is not a good repair tactic.

WHEN DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUT OFF , STEERING WHEEL BECAME STIFF AND BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK, AS IF IT LOST ALL POWER. THERE WOULD BE ABS AND 'SLIPPERY' SYMBOL ON THE DASH BOARD. IT WOULD HAPPEN DURING TURNING TOO AND SINCE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS STIFF, I WAS NOT ABLE TO TURN IT BACK STRAIGHT AND HAD TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THIS VEHICLE STALLING HAPPENED A FEW TIMES AND KEPT GETTING MORE FREQUENT. I TOOK IT TO DEALER FEW TIMES. THEY FOUND CODE C121C STORED IN ABS MODULE ONCE, BUT COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. I READ UP ONLINE THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND ARE REPLACING THE EGR VALVE. I ASKED DEALER TO REPLACE THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT THINK THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. EVER SINCE THEY REPLACE THE EGR VALVE, IT HAS BEEN RUNNING OKAY. ITS SURPRISING THAT CHRYSLER DEALER DID NOT KNOW OF THIS KNOW ISSUE. BUT IT IS DEFINITELY NOT SAFE SINCE THE VEHICLE STALLS ANYTIME WITHOUT NOTICE AND YOU CANNOT EVEN CONTROL THE STEERING WHEEL OR BRAKES.

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

AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF THEY COME OUT AND TELL ME THAT THEY ORDERED THE WRONG PART AND WILL HAVE TO ORDER THE RIGHT PART. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN THEY RECEIVE THE PART AND I HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM THEM.

TOOK CAR TO HILLTOP CHRYSLER ON12/3/18FOR RECALL.WAS TOLD THAT THE PART HAD TO BE ORDERED,IT WAS ON BACK ORDER.CALLED BACK A FEW DAYS LATER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS STILL ON BACKORDER.RAY HAD NO SENSE OF URGENCY BECAUSE THIS IS A SERIOUS RECALL THAT INVOLVES THE ENGINE SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING.I THEN CONTACTED YOU GUYS AND SPOKE WITH A YOUNG LADY WHO WAS DYNAMIC IN HELPING ME OUT.SHE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND FOUND THAT RAY MADE A MISTAKE AND ORDERED THE WRONG PART.THE RECALL WAS FINALLY DONE ON THE 12/18/18,(GUS) BUT A COUPLE DAYS LATER I STARTED TO NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR LOCK WOULDN'T RESPOND TO THE KEY FOB AND NEITHER DID MY LIFT GATE.THE KEYFOB IS SUPPOSED TO BE PROGRAMMED TO WORK WITH MY CAR AND IT'S NOT COMMUNICATING PROPERLY. I TOOK IT TO THE MICHAEL STEAD HILLTOP DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING 1/3/19 TO HAVE THEM TAKE A LOOK AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAD TO PAY A DIAGNOSTIC FEE BY THE SERVICE ADVISOR.HE STATED THAT THEY GET PEOPLE COMING BACK AFTER A RECALL SAYING THIS AND THAT IS BROKEN AND WANT IT REPAIRED. HE ALSO BROUGHT THE"MASTER TECH"OUT TO EXPLAIN TO US.THE TECH STATED THAT HE KNOWS THEY DID NOTHING WRONG BECAUSE THE RECALL HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DOORS, IT'S CONNECTED TO THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT.HE SAID THE RECALL WAS TO FIX IT WHERE THE KEY WOULDN'T FALL OUT OF THE IGNITION.(NOT WHAT THE RECALL WAS ABOUT)HE ALSO STATED THAT EVEN AFTER PROGRAMMING THE KEY FOB TO WORK WITH THE CAR, IT WOULD BE A COINCIDENCE THAT THE DRIVER LOCK AND GATE LIFT DOESN'T WORK AND WE WOULD STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR.HE STARTED TO TALK ABOUT THE RECALL WAS TO DO WITH BCM HE IMPLIED THAT,WE DID SOMETHING WRONG AND SOMETHING TO DO WITH TIME FRAME(DON'T KNOW WHAT A BCM IS) PRIOR TO THE RECALL WE HAD NO KEY FOB AND HAD TO MANUALLY OPEN WITH A KEY AND LOCK THE DOORS BY PUSHING THE BUTTON DOWN.ALL DOORS INCLUDING THE GATE WORKED AND WITH BUTTONS THAT AUTOMATICALLY OPENS&CLOSE.

I HAVE TO PULL OVER, PUT THE VAN IN PARK, AND TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN BACK ON. SO FAR THIS WORKS BUT IT WILL DO THIS MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE SAME TRIP. HAS HAPPENED WHEN MOVING, WHILE STOPPED AND WHEN TURNING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. I'M ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED THIS WILL HAPPEN AT A CRITICAL MOMENT AND CAUSE MY CHILDREN AND I TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT.

VAN WAS PARKED AND BEING UNLOADED. LEFT SIDE DOOR BEGIN TO OPEN. IT OPENED ABOUT TWO THIRDS OF THE WAY, THEN REVERSED AND BEGIN TO CLOSE. A BOX WAS BEING UNLOADED FROM BEHIND THE FRONT SEAT. AS THE DOOR CLOSED IT CONTACTED MY WIVES ARMS AND CONTINUED TO CLOSE ON THE ARMS AND BOX. FORCE HAD TO BE USED TO GET ARMS AND BOX CLEAR OF DOOR. IN THE PROCESS OF FORCING THE ARMS CLEAR, THE DOOR BEGIN TO CLICK AND STUCK OPEN. THE SAFETY REVERSE DID NOT ENGAGE TO REVERSE THE DOOR OR WORK AT ALL. THE DOOR WAS JAMMED OPEN AND WOULD NOT OPEN OR CLOSE AT ALL. DROVE TO THE BODY SHOP TO HAVE THE PROBLEM INVESTIGATED AND FIXED. DISCOVERED THE PLASTIC COATING ON THE WIRE HAD PEELED OFF AND BEGAN TO BIND IN THE PULLEY MECHANISM. BOTH THE PULLEY HAD DAMAGE BETWEEN THE CABLE RACES AND THE WIRE HAD TORN COATING. THIS COMBINATION DAMAGE RENDERED THE SAFETY REVERSE TO NOT OPERATE AND COULD HAVE CAUSED SERIOUS INJURY TO AN INDIVIDUAL WHO WAS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO OVERPOWER THE DOOR.

ON THE WAY BACK THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON, GOING OFF BUT THEN IT CAME BACK ON AND DIDN'T TURN OFF. THEN THE VEHICLE STARTS DYING WHEN WE'RE STOPPED OR PARKED. WE'RE OBVIOUSLY CONCERNED! I HAD TO GET AN OIL CHANGE AFTER DRIVING THAT FAR ANYWAY SO I BROUGHT IT IN. THE SAID THAT THE CODE WAS FOR A MISFIRING PISTON AND I NEEDED TO TAKE IT INTO THE SHOP RIGHT AWAY. SO I IMMEDIATELY DRIVE IT OVER TO THE DEALERSHIP SHOP. THEY HAVE IT FOR A FEW DAYS AND TELL ME THAT NOTHING IS WRONG, THE VEHICLE JUST NEEDS A TUNE UP AND NEW WIRES, EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE 90K MILES ON IT. THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE US $700. WE HAD MY HUSBAND'S COUSIN DO IT INSTEAD BECAUSE HE IS A MECHANIC AND DOESN'T CHARGE US FOR LABOR. THE PROBLEM DOESN'T GO AWAY. THEY TELL US THE CAM SHAFT SENSOR IS BAD. WE REPLACE IT. DOESN'T FIX IT. THEY TELL US THE CRANK SENSOR IS BAD. WE REPLACE IT. AND ON AND ON OUR GOES WITH US REPLACING THINGS AND THE DEALERSHIP BEING UNABLE TO RECREATE THE ISSUE. FOR THE YEARS WE'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THAT AND A VEHICLE THAT CANNOT SMOOTHLY ACCELERATE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO QUICKLY GET UP TO SPEED AND MERGE ONTO THE HIGHEST BECAUSE THE VEHICLE BUCKS AND SHAKES IF YOU TRY TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY TO GET UP TO SPEED. THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHES, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON AND A BELL STARTS TO DING UNTIL WE PULL OVER, SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART IT. NOBODY CAN TELL US WHAT IS WRONG AND WHEN THE CODES ARE SCANNED IT DOESN'T MATCH ANY CODE THAT CHRYSLER HAS.

THIS VEHICLE HAS GIVEN PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRICAL SINCE I GOT IN BRAND NEW IN WINTER 2009. WHEN DRIVEN FOR MORE THEN A COUPLE HOURS, ALL THE ELECTRICAL WILL FLASH OFF FOR A FEW SECONDS, TO INCLUDE MY POWER STEERING HEADLIGHTS, DASH LAMPS, ETC. I HAD THE RECALL DONE WHICH REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH WHICH SUPPOSEDLY WAS THE PROBLEM. NOW THAT THIS RECALL HAS BEEN DONE, MY KEY GETS STUCK IN MY IGNITION, THE TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM RANDOMLY TURNS OFF, AND TO TOP IT OFF THE ELECTRICAL STILL FLASHES ON AND OFF AFTER DRIVING FOR MORE THEN AN HOUR OR TWO. THE DEALERSHIP HAS STATED THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSES THIS AS IT NEVER HAPPENS WHEN THEY TEST DRIVE IT. ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT I'VE HAD SINCE DAY ONE, IS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. WHEN YOU SLOW DOWN TO MAKE A TURN AND PRESS THE GAS TO SPEED BACK UP WITH THE WHEEL STILL TURNED THE TRANSMISSION WILL JERK INTO GEAR. HAVE HAD THREE SEPARATE INCIDENTS THAT LEAD ME TO BELIEVE TH TIPM IS FAULTY. I'VE HAD TWO INCIDENTS WHERE THE VEHICLE ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. EACH TIME I PUT THE TRANS IN N, TURNED THE IGNITION, AND CONTINUED DRIVING. ONE INCIDENT, WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY, WHERE THE TPM SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON, THEN AN ERROR MESSAGE STATING "CHECK TPM SYSTEM" CAME ON, FOLLOWED BY THE PSI READINGS FOR EACH TIRE CHANGED FROM 38 TO -- ONE BY ONE... THEN JUST AS QUICK, EVERYTHING WENT BACK TO NORMAL. YESTERDAY HAD AN INCIDENT WHERE, AFTER DRIVING AROUND ALL DAY, I SHUT THE CAR OFF THEN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY TRIED TO START IT ONLY TO HAVE THE CLASSIC "CLICK, CLICK, CLICK". AFTER A COUPLE ATTEMPTS OF TURNING IGNITION BACK AND FORTH, I GOT A JUMP AND THEN THE ENGINE STARTED WITHOUT ISSUE. AFTER THE JUMP I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP.

THEY ARE DISMISSIVE SAYING THAT THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET THE PARTS DESPITE OF MULTIPLE PHONE CALLS AND ON SITE VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY TOLD ME TO DEAL DIRECTLY WITH CHRYSLER MYSELF. WHEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN, WE TOOK IT TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP THAT SAID THE SAME THING. THIS ELECTRICAL FAULT WON'T SHOW UP ON THEIR "PLUG-IN" ANALYZER. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS FOR MONTHS AND THERE ARE POSTS ALL OVER THE INTERNET FROM OTHERS WHO ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THERE IS EVEN A VIDEO TAKEN FROM SOMEONE WHILE DRIVING TO PROVE THIS. I HAVE CALLED CHRYSTLER LLC 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 2 DAYS. FINALLY TODAY, A SUPERVISOR CALLED ME AND SAID THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY VAN AND THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING TO ASSIST. I ALSO NOTICED A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FROM NUMEROUS STATES ON THIS ISSUE UNDER TIPM7. I HAVE CONTACTED A LAWYER AND PLAN TO FILE A LAWSUIT MYSELF SINCE THIS $24K VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I WILL NOT ALLOW MY WIFE TO DRIVE IT IN FEAR HER OR OUR CHILDREN MAY BE INJURED. THIS ISSUE HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED SINCE 2009 YET THERE IS NO RECALL? THE PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN USING ANY OF THE REMOTES, THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE OR THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE. THE FINAL DIAGNOSIS WAS A FAILED LATCH ASSEMBLY AND ACTUATOR. HOWEVER, THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO MAKE THE REPAIR UNTIL AFTER A BODY SHOP WAS ABLE TO PARTIALLY SEPARATE THE DOOR HANDLE BEZEL FROM THE INTERIOR DOOR PANEL. WITH THE BEZEL SLIGHTLY AJAR, THE DEALERSHIP PERSONNEL WERE ABLE TO INSERT A CLOTHES HANGER TO "JIMMY" THE DOOR HANDLE ROD AND OPEN THE DOOR. THE 2 SCREWS THAT NEED TO BE REMOVED IN ORDER TO PROPERLY REMOVE THE BEZEL FACE FORWARD AND ARE NOT VISIBLE, AND ARE INACCESSIBLE, WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED AS THE B PILLAR IS IN THE WAY. THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY SO WE PAID FOR THE REPAIR; HOWEVER, A FLAWED DESIGN THAT CAUSED A BODY SHOP TO GET INVOLVED AND REQUIRED ADDITIONAL TIME BY THE DEALERSHIP PERSONNEL ADDED ABOUT $190.00 TO THE COST OF THE REPAIR. I MAILED A CERTIFIED LETTER TO CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE ON JUNE 25TH SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THIS ADDITIONAL COST AS I BELIEVE A SEVERE FLAW IN THEIR DESIGN CAUSED THIS EXTRA EXPENSE. TO DATE (OCTOBER 2, 2014) I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM CHRYSLER. MY HUSBAND TOOK MY 2010 CHRYLSER TOWN & COUNTRY VAN TO THE DEALER FOR THE IGNITION RECALL. WHEN HE ARRIVED HOME HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT WHEN HE LEFT THE DEALER HE HAD NO ELECTRIC IN THE VEHICLE. I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT NHTSA WOULD HAVE REVIEWED THE FIX OF THE IGNITION ISSUE AND INSURED THAT IT DID NOT CREATE YET ANOTHER PROBLEM. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND TOLD THEM TO RETURN MY CAR TO THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT SINCE I FELT THE REPAIR WAS MUCH WORSE THEN THE RISK THAT RESULTED IN THE RECALL. WHEN WILL NHTSA TAKE THESE ISSUES SERIOUSLY ENOUGH TO ENSURE THAT THE SUPPOSEDLY CORRECTION OF AN ISSUE DOES NOT CAUSE A GREATER CONCERN? I WAS PUTTING THE STOW AND GO SEAT (BEHIND DRIVER'S SEAT) INTO THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT. I WAS HOLDING UP THE FLOOR BOARD FLAP IN MY LEFT HAND AND USED MY RIGHT HAND TO LIFT THE FOLDED SEAT INTO THE FLOOR COMPARTMENT. AS I FOLDED THE SEAT INTO THE COMPARTMENT, MY RING FINGER ON RIGHT HAND GOT WEDGED OR CAUGHT IN THE SEAT MECHANISM. I COULD NOT GET THE FINGER OUT. I RETURNED THE SEAT TO THE UPRIGHT POSITION THINKING THAT THE FINGER WOULD BECOME LOOSE AND I COULD REMOVE IT. IT STILL WOULD NOT COME OUT. I WAS IN OUR GARAGE AND MY WIFE WAS AWAY. THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD GET MY FINGER OUT BY MYSELF. I WAS ABLE TO YELL TO A NEIGHBOR WHO CAME OVER. HE UNSCREWED ONE SCREW AND THEN USED THE SCREWDRIVER TO PRY MECHANISM OPEN SUFFICIENT WHERE I COULD REMOVE THE FINGER. I SUSTAINED A BROKEN FINGERNAIL AND CUT TO THE FINGER. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND THERE WAS NO DTCS OCCURRING. LEFT IT AT DEALER ANOTHER DAY AND STILL NO DUPLICATION. HAVE HAD CAR BACK FOR TWO MORE DAYS WITH DEALER AND STILL NO DUPLICATION. SO AT THIS POINT THEY ARE UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING FOR US. THE PART THAT IS FAILING WE BELIEVE IS THE WIN MODULE. IT IS VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS. IT APPEARS THAT A RECALL MAY BE COMING OUT BUT NOT SURE IF IT WILL INCLUDE OUR VEHICLE. SPOKE WITH CHRYSLER MANY TIMES AND THEY CAN NOT CONFIRM THAT ALSO THEY AGREED THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. WILL NOT PROVIDE LOANER OR RENTAL CAR BECAUSE OF NO DUPLICATION OF PROBLEM AT DEALERS. WE ARE VERY CONCERNED AND NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. JUST DON'T DRIVE VERY MUCH. *TR
