Vehicle randomly shuts off while driving. No warning lights are illuminated. Shutoff can occur at any speed and causes loss of power steering, braking etc. Shutdown requires immediate pull off to the side of the road. Once key is turned off and back on, car restarts.
Catalytic converter is reported to me as needing to be replaced. Check Engine light came on which indicated this error. It’s only at 84k miles. Followed by needing new O2 sensors if the catalytic converter is replaced. Another error was the thermostat which needs replacement. We are looking at over $5k in repairs.
My van will frequently lose power and die while I am driving it, with NO WARNING. I have to pull off and put it either into park or neutral then turn the key again to get it started again. This has happened more than 40 times over the last 15 monnths. My speeds have ranges from 25mpg in town to 65 mpg on the highway.Most recently on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Couldn't reverse vehicle after buying the vehicle three days ago. My safety and my passengers safety wasn't safe I almost got hit from the front and back trying to reverse the vehicle to go. I can put the vehicle in any other gear and it works but the reverse. i called the vehicle repair shop and bring it in to the shop where I was told they were going to work on the vehicle for free since I only had it for three days. I paid for the warranty part and everything. This the second car I bought from Fett's city motors that been dangerous to operate on roads and highways.
Hard starting mostly in the mornings sometimes in the hot afternoon I have to turn the key several tries to get it to start the most of the rest of the day it’s OK the Ignition seems loose sometimes the key will not pull out right I’ve heard about the recalls on the other years causing the vehicle to shut off while I’m driving I hope this does not happen.Other years of the Chrysler Town an Country was recalled,Same engine same parts.Win ignition was bad.Please don’t let us get seriously injured if the vehicle ever shuts down on us while driving.Many other owners having the same issues.We got many new parts trying to fix.But no luck.But it is now. Narrow down to this problem with the ignition.

Engine stalled at roughly 20 miles per hour, thankfully, I was stopped. Restarted and drove off, but vehicle now has a check engine light on.
The Flexplate/Flywheel cracks every 4 years for us, this is our second repair same part. Dealership says now there is a reinforcement plate. That we have to buy, Seriously, give us a break with a broken Flexplate that is either to thin or made of a inexpense product. IDK. Dealership told my Mechanic they keep a lot on hand because they know it’s a problem. Help Please🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 At least give us the reinforcement plate, for Heavens sake!!! Confirmed cylinder number 2 misfire. Performed relative compression test and intake trace pull. Confirmed that number two has low compression and is directly affecting cylinder number fives intake pull. removed spark plug and did a compression test on cylinder 2 it had 90psi of compression and the rest of the cylinders were at 148psi of compression. used a bore scope and found cylinder damage in video attached vehicle needs a new engine to correct customers concern. When going up a small incline at 30-45mph engine would stall out. I have 3 little kids and I drive a lot for my job and want to be safe on the road! Also my blind spot detectors have constantly been on since about 75,000 miles. It’s kind of a distraction when you are driving at night.
Starting in 2019 our 2012 Chrysler Town and Country had stalled out while driving. The entire engine cut out with no warning, losing all power steering, and even braking seemed hard. The vehicle would not start and would only crank over. The only solution was to disconnect and reconnect the battery and the vehicle would start. Problem did not happen again until June of 2022 when my wife along with her mother and our two children were traveling to Los Angeles, CA from Wyoming and the vehicle died while driving on the interstate putting them in situation which could have been deadly. Vehicle would not start again after that and only fix was to disconnect and reconnect the battery and vehicle started again. This has happened another 3 times since June of 2022. Our vehicle has approximately 138,000 miles on it and has had no other issues. From reading other complaints it sounds like this is related to a faulty TIPM. However since it never throws a code, no one can tell what is causing the issue since it cannot be replicated and happens randomly without warning. Latest incident occurred around Oct 1, 2022.
Vehicle has shut off, while driving, multiple times over the past year and a half. The first instance was Summer 2021. Coming to a stop from a highway exit ramp and the van shut off for no reason. I was eventually able to restart and drive within a few minutes. A few days later, the van would shut down, or try to shut down, every time I would slow to a stop during a 2 hour trip. A few months ago, while driving approximately 35 mph, the van dashboard lights shut off, windshield wipers turned on and all other lights and power steering / brakes shut down temporarily. Luckily we were driving in a straight line because I had no power brakes or steering at that moment. Most recent issue occurred 8/27/2022. Driving van on highway, shut off at a light at bottom of exit ramp. We do not feel safe driving this van.
Van engine dies while driving. Has happened four times at high rate of speed— once on the expressway going 65 mph. Dash lights come on when driving and engine dies. Power steering and brakes go out. No codes. I coast to a stop on side of road. When trying to restart, van will have power, but will not turn over. After about 45-60 minutes, starts and runs normally. Could not replicate problem at auto repair shop. Had it towed first time. Three times since it restarted after sitting an hour. Almost was rear-ended on expressway overpass the last time it died. Children were in the car. Also died in the rain at dusk on county highway. Unsafe location. No warning prior to the failure. Also happened to another driver. First event May 2022. Again June 2022. Again July 2022. Again September 2022.
My town and country will shut off while driving, this is very concerning to me I have 4 children with me at all times. I can be going 10 miles down the road and it will shut off atleast 5 times. I live in the mountains so getting it out of the road is an challenge at most times. The other day I was going thru a green light and it shut off. Luckily it had just enough roll to get it out of the intersection and kinda off the interstate. It just does it no warning at all shuts off I loose breaks steering everything! IT IS VERY DANGEROUS!!!
2012 Chrysler Town&Country My 2012 Town and Country has randomly stopped on me three times in April and May of 2022. The car shuts off completely for no apparent reason. The car will not start again until put into park. This was unsafe because I had no control of the car until it rolled to a stop. Fortunately, each time the hazard lights responded and cars behind me went around. The very scary part was not knowing if I would run into the car ahead of me as neither brakes nor steering worked. I took it to my dealership and told them the problem. They said they discovered there was faulty wiring and repaired it at the cost of just nearly $700. I picked up the car. I drove it for under an hour and it stopped in the middle of a busy street. I took the car back to the dealership. They kept it for two weeks and finally said they made it do the event again. They then proceeded to try to diagnose it. After a week or so they called to say they thought they had diagnosed the problem. However they could not get the part that they thought needed to be replaced. None seemed to be available. The dealership then called to say that they had found two parts but only one was available. I was informed that they weren’t sure they could get the part at all. (The cost for parts and labor will be $1000.) My car has now been in the dealership for almost a month. They tell me that they have no idea when the car will be fixed. I was also informed that even if they put this part in the car they cannot guarantee me the car will be safe to drive. I will not have any confidence in this car again. I will find it a financial hardship to purchase a new car right now. This however is the only choice open to me now in order to feel safe in a car again. 2022,dlr
The External Fuel Pump Relay has failed causing stalling conditions while driving and starting problems. Along with that, it has drained the battery due to not turning the fuel pump off after the car is turn off. The part was recalled on the Jeep and Durango models with the same 3.6L engine. There have been many reports of this online with Town and Country and Dodge Caravan models with the 3.6L and 5.7L engines.
The bearings in the rockers went bad and allowed the rockers to make contact with the camshafts. The camshafts are bad and the rockers are bad. There is metal in the oil system now.

THIS IS A HAZARD AND DANGEROUS WHAT I AM AFRAID OF IS THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES AND THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN LOOKED AT BY THE PROPER DEPARTMENT OR AUTHORITY. 2012 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY COMPLAINT 2/2 VEHICLE WOULD HAVING A HUMMING AND WHIRRING SOUND COMING FROM IT THAT WOULD CEASE ONLY WHEN THE BATTERY IS DEAD OR TERMINAL REMOVED. THE LIGHTS WOULD KILL THE BATTERY DESPITE BEING LEFT IN OFF POSITION. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY WAS TAKEN TO THE STORE FOR THE CHANGE OF A TIPM DUE TO SMELLING A VERY HOT BURNING SCENT AND THEN IN STOP WHIRRING SOUND ALONG WITH DISPLAY IS HOT IN RED ON SCREEN. THE ACTUAL SCREEN AND MIDDLE CONTROL PANEL TO HOT TO TOUCH. THE VEHICLE TIRE SYSTEM SIGNAL WOULD OCCUR RECURRENTLY AND IT WOULD CAUSE ONE TO HAVE CONTINUOUSLY CHECK TIRES EVEN IF THEY WERE FINE AND SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED AND OTHERS NOT. THE VEHICLE HAD A BRAND NEW BATTERY INSTALLED BY AAA. AND THIS BATTERY CELL WAS DESTROYED BY THE CONTINUOUS DRAINING AND JUMP STARTING. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD THE TIPM PUT IN AND RETURNED TO ME A MONTH LATER NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE MORE THAN 2 MILES WITHOUT OVERHEATING AND RELEASE OF WHITE SMOKE. THE CAR HAS NO COOLANT IN IT AND NO OIL WHEN REPLACED IMMEDIATELY THE VEHICLE BURNED IT OFF AND IT RAN OUT. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAD TO BE TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER CHARGES FOR THE NEW COMPUTER AND THEN TELLS ME I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE COOLANT PROBLEM, THE OIL LEAK PROBLEM AND AND SOME CALIBER WITH MY WHEEL. THE VEHICLE ALSO AFTER HAVING A NEW TIPM INSTALLED AND NEW REMOTE CODED AND PROGRAMMED THE VEHICLE PASSENGER DOOR ON THE RIGHT STILL DOESN'T LOCK WITH INSTRUCTION FROM NEITHER REMOTE OR MANUALLY. UPON ARRIVING AT MY DESTINATION, I TOOK VAN TO AUTOZONE TO CHECK CODE. CYLINDER #2 MISFIRE. COME BACK TO SAN ANTONIO AND TAKE TO SHOP TO GET REPAIRED. LIGHT IS OFF AND VAN RUNS GREAT. 2 DAYS LATER ENGINE LIGHT ON! AUTOZONE, CYLINDER #2 MISFIRE. TOOK TO SHOP AND MECHANIC SAID THAT WE WILL HAVE TO DO THIS ALL THE TIME. HE HAS BEEN WORKING ON 3 OTHER TOWN & COUNTRY'S WITH THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVE MISFIRES IN CYLINDERS #6, CYL. # 4 OR CYL. #2. WHAT CAN BE DONE????

AFTER THE NEW PARTS WERE INSTALLED THE VEHICLE STILL RUNS ROUGH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STILL ON EVEN IF IT IS CLEARED DUE TO THE SAME PERMANENT CODE "MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 3". AFTER RESEARCH THERE ARE "CYLINDER MISFIRE" RECALLS FOR CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY VANS " DUE TO EXCESSIVE CYLINDER WEAR" ON THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL YEAR VEHICLE I HAVE. I HAVE ENTERED MY VEHICLES VIN ON THIS SITE AND IT DOES NOT COME UP AS MY VEHICLE HAVING THIS RECALL. METAL SHAVING DAMAGED BOTH CAMSHAFTS, COVERED BY EXTENDED WARRANTY, BUT COST ABOUT $1500 TO REPAIR. TOOK IN FOR REPAIR JULY 1, 2017, REQUIRED A FULL WEEK TO REPAIR. SECOND ISSUE: THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) FAILED, SYMPTOM WAS ENGINE TURNING OVER BUT NOT STARTING UNTIL TRIED SEVERAL TIMES (PUSH BUTTON START). HAPPENED A FEW TIMES IN ISOLATION, TOOK IT IN AFTER HAPPENING TWICE IN A DAY (AND THE THIRD TIME IN A WEEK). TIPM WAS NOT COVERED BY EXTENDED WARRANTY. TOOK IN AUGUST 16, 2017, WAS GOING TO REQUIRE ABOUT 3 DAYS TO REPAIR AT A COST OF $1200. WE HAVE VIDEO SHOWING THIS BEHAVIOR.

FAULTY TIPM IDENTIFIED AFTER SEVERAL YEARS OF PROBLEMS. MOST SERIOUS PROBLEM OCCURRED WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED ON THE FREEWAY DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. VEHICLE SPEED DROPPED IMMEDIATELY, WITH NO WARNING, FROM 70 MPH TO 25 MPH. VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT, AND SPEED WOULD NOT INCREASE. POWER STEERING WENT OUT, AND IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE ACROSS FOUR LANES OF HEAVY TRAFFIC (WITH MY CHILDREN INSIDE) AND COAST TO A SAFE LOCATION WHERE A TOW TRUCK WAS CALLED, AND VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THIS WAS THE MOST SERIOUS OF SEVERAL PROBLEMS- ALL OF WHICH APPEAR TO POINT TO A FAULTY TIPM. OTHER PROBLEMS INCLUDE FAULTY TURN SIGNALS, WINDOWS THAT WILL NOT OPEN, REAR FAN THAT TURNS ON AND OFF BY ITSELF, DIFFICULTY SHIFTING, DIFFICULTY STARTING, AND DRAINED BATTERIES. REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS INCLUDE SOLENOID PACK REPLACEMENT, TRANSMISSION OVERHAUL, BATTERY REPLACEMENT, POWER MODULE REPLACEMENT, BLOWER MOTOR REPLACEMENT- FINALLY LEADING TO TIPM REPLACEMENT.

IT WAS APPX 1030 AT NIGHT WITH NO STREET LIGHTS AROUND AND MY HUSBAND THANKFULLY WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL AND HIS COMPOSURE IN ORDER TO COAST THE VEHICLE OFF ONTO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WE COULD NOT SEE WHERE WE WERE GOING AS IT WAS PITCH DARK OUTSIDE AND HE WAS ABLE TO FEEL THE GRAVEL UNDER THE TIRES AND PRAYED THAT HE WAS SUCCESSFULLY OFF THE ROADWAY ENOUGH TO PREVENT BEING HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. WE HAD OUR 6 MONTH OLD BABY GIRL SECURED IN HER CAR SEAT IN THE SECOND ROW CAPTAIN SEAT AND I TRIED TO GET HER SLIDING DOOR OPEN IN ORDER TO GET HER OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND OUT OF HARMS WAY SINCE WE WERE BARELY PULLED OFF THE ROADWAY, BUT THE SLIDING DOOR WOULD NOT EVEN OPEN. I HAD TO CRAWL INTO THE BACK OF THE VAN AND REMOVE HER THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT DOOR. THE DASH LIGHTS WOULD BLINK INTERMITTENTLY BUT WE WERE NOT EVEN ABLE TO GET THE HAZARD LIGHTS ON. WE MADE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO TURN THE CAR ON, PRESSING EVERY BUTTON ON THE KEY FAB TO TRY TO GET THE VEHICLE WORKING AGAIN. NO LUCK. THANKFULLY THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE ARRIVED AND THEY PROVIDED PROPER LIGHTS AND FLARES TO ALERT OTHER DRIVERS OF THE DISABLED VEHICLE. ONCE THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED WE DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY WHICH STOPPED THE SPORADIC BLINKING OF THE DASH LIGHTS AND THEN RECONNECTED THE BATTERY APPX 5 SECONDS LATER AND THE VEHICLE STARTED UP NO PROBLEMS. WE WERE ABLE TO DRIVE THE VAN HOME WITH THE SHERIFF'S FOLLOWING US FOR SAFETY. OVERALL, THIS EXPERIENCE WITH THE VEHICLE LOOSING ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WAS TERRIFYING. THANKFULLY WE WERE ON A FAIRLY STRAIGHT STRETCH OF HIGHWAY WHERE THE SHOULDER WAS WIDE ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE A VEHICLE. I WAS SCHEDULED TO LEAVE CLEVELAND, OHIO AND DRIVE BACK TO MOBILE, ALABAMA WITH MY GRANDSON AND DAUGHTER THE WEEKEND OF DEC. 10, 2015, I FELT IT WAS PRUDENT TO HAVE THE VAN LOOKED AT FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT PROBLEM. I TOOK THE VAN INTO WASHINGTON AND LEE SERVICE ON DEC. 8, 2015. THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A FOULED IGNITION COIL, AND REPLACED THE COIL, ALL THE SPARK PLUGS AND A GASKET. I RETRIEVED MY CAR ON DEC. 10, 2015 IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON. THAT SAME EVENING, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON, SO I RETURNED THE VAN TO THEM. I RECEIVED A CALL MIDAFTERNOON THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE THE CAR TO A DEALER FOR SERVICE, WHICH IS WHEN I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING THE ENGINE. I DROPPED THE CAR OFF AT DEACON'S CHRYSLER JEEP IN CLEVELAND, OHIO ON DECEMBER 10, 2015 AND PICKED IT UP ON DECEMBER 14, 2015 AT APPROX. 6 PM. THIS NECESSITATED FINDING A HOTEL ROOM FOR THE DURATION. IN ADDITION, I NEEDED TO SECURE TRANSPORTATION. I PICKED UP THE CAR TOO LATE TO LEAVE THAT DAY AND HAD TO STAY UNTIL THE MORNING OF DEC. 15, 2015. UPON RETURNING TO MOBILE, ALABAMA, THE VAN BEGAN T SHUDDER AND SHAKE WHEN BRAKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE AND OUR MECHANIC PERFORMED THE REPAIRS. MY HUSBAND DECIDED TO CHECK ON THE NHTSA SITE TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY OTHER DEFECTS IN THE VAN THAT CONSUMERS WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF. WE TOOK THE VAN TO THE AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE, WHERE WE ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT THE REPAIR DID NOT FALL UNDER THE SERVICE BULLETIN. I DISPUTE THAT, THE SERVICE BULLETIN SPECIFICALLY STATES THAT THE FRONT ROTOR AND PADS ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

NOW, IT ACTS AS IF IT IS TRYING TO START THE ENGINE AND NOTHING CONNECTS. THIS MORNING, IT TOOK APPROXIMATELY 10 TRIES TO GET IT TO TURN OVER. THIS WAS AFTER I HAD DRIVEN IT A COUPLE OF MILES. THEN, WHEN I ARRIVED AT WORK, IT WENT INTO THE ACCY MODE AGAIN AS I WAS OPENING THE DOOR TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER HOOKED IT TO THEIR COMPUTER MONTHS AGO. BUT, I GUESS IF THERE IS NOT CODE, THE PROBLEM DOESN'T EXIST???? THE LAST TIME THEY SUGGESTED IT WAS RELATED TO A TRANSMISSION ISSUE THAT THEY ADDRESSED. *TR

A MONTH AFTER BUYING THE VAN, IT STARTED CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING CAUSING IT TO BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER. LUCKILY I WAS WHERE I COULD PULL OVER EVERY TIME.IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. ANOTHER TIME IT DID IT MY HUSBAND TOOK IT BACK FOR A RECALL PART BUT THEY TOLD US THAT PART HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT CUTTING OFF. THE MOST SERIOUS TIME OCCURRED ON 4/29/14 DURING RUSH HOUR 5:00 PM)GETTING ON I85 IN GASTONIA, NC MERGING ONTO I85 AND THE VAN CUT OFF. I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN GOING OVER 25 MILES AND EVERYTHING SHUT DOWN. I WAS LUCKY TO GET IT IN THE EMERGENCY LANE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO SCARED IN ALL MY LIFE. I HAD MY DAUGHTER/GRANDDAUGHTER SCREAMING/CRYING. NO WAY ANY OF US WOULD HAVE SURVIVED IF I HAD MADE IT TO THE INNER LANE.THIS TIME A NEW LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH.TOLD IT WAS A THROTTLE LIGHT, MANY ATTEMPTS TO START THE VAN, IT DIDN'T START. I CALLED LAKE NORMAN (BOUGHT THERE)AND WAS TOLD THERE'S A PLACE IN GASTONIA. I CALLED AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED AND ASKED FOR A TOW TRUCK.THE VAN WAS TOWED TO GASTONIA CHRYSLER. THE SERVICE TECH TRIED TO START IT WITH NO LUCK. HE SAID WAS BETTER THEN IT STARTING AND RESETTING EVERYTHING. HE CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND EVERYTHING WAS READING RIGHT ON HIS MACHINES. HE TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO DROP THE GAS TANK AND TAKE THE FUEL PUMP OUT. WHEN HE RAN IT THIS TIME THE FUEL PUMP HAD NO FUEL PRESSURE. HE ALSO SAID THERE WAS NO GAS, IN WHICH I HAD A LITTLE OVER A QUARTER OF A TANK ON THE FUEL GAUGE. HE SAID FUEL PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE. REPLACED IT AT $777.92. IT IS SEPT AND STARTING IT AGAIN THE JERKING LIKE THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION IS GONNA FALL OUT. THIS VAN ENGINES WERE RECALLED FOR DEBRIS IN ENGINE THRUOCT 2011. MY ENGINE WAS BUILT IN NOV. ENGINE NEEDS REPLACED. NOW MY STEREO TURNS OFF AND FUSES ARE GOOD.PLEASE HELP, I SEE OTHER RECALLS ON CHRYSLERS WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS. *TR

THIS INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 10 TIMES NOW, SO I THOUGHT I SHOULD REPORT IT. I WILL START MY VEHICLE BY TAPPING THE BRAKE AND PRESSING THE ENGINE BUTTON. THE CAR IGNITION TURNS ON AS NORMAL. I PROCEED TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE TO GET OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE AND THE ENGINE HAS DIED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. MY STEERING WHEEL CANNOT TURN AT ALL, THE GAS PEDAL DOES NOTHING, THE CAR IS DEAD AT THIS POINT. I HAVE TO SLAM ON THE BRAKE TO NOT SLIDE INTO TRAFFIC OR THE CAR PARKED BEHIND ME. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND "TURN OFF" THE ENGINE AND RESTART IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES, BUT IT ONLY OCCURS WHEN I'M STARTING UP THE VEHICLE, NOT WHEN I'M ALREADY GOING: IT HAS NEVER "DIED" OR "TURNED OFF" WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. 1 WEEK AFTER I BOUGHT MY VAN THE CAR STARTED VIBRATING WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED (WAITING AT THE LIGHT). I WENT TO THE DEALER TO ASK THEM IF THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM THEY FIRST SAY THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM AND THEN I READ THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR SOME VEHICLES HAVING DEBRIS ON THE ENGINES, SO THEY REPLACED HALF OF THE HEADS IN THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE STOPPED VIBRATING, BUT THEN I NOTICE THAT WHEN SPEEDING OR SLOWING DOWN THE VEHICLE DOES NOT RESPONDS TO THE CHANGE IN GEARS OR ISN?T ACCELERATING LIKE IT SHOULD. ALSO WHILE COMING TO A STOP THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT DOWNSHIFT CAUSING THE CAR TO LUNGE FORWARD. IT WOULD VIBRATE WHEN COMING TO STOP. *TR

AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 70MPH, MY VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER. IT WAS SO ABRUPT THAT IT FELT AS IF I HAD BEEN REAR ENDED. I HAD NO POWER STEERING, AND ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS OF MY VAN SHUT OFF. I ATTEMPTED TO STEER TOWARDS THE SHOULDER, AND MY VAN REGAINED POWER. THE DASH LIGHTS FLASHED TWICE AND THEN I HAD FULL POWER. THE VAN THEN AGAIN HAD ALL LIGHTS SHUT OFF AND IT SHUT OFF. THIS SECOND OCCURRENCE WAS QUICKER THAN THE FIRST, AND THE POWER FLASHED BACK ON AFTER A FEW SECONDS. I EXITED WITH THE VAN OFF THE HIGHWAY AND HAD IT TOWED. THE DEALERSHIP DROVE THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO THEY COULD NOT REPAIR IT. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHY IT HAPPENED OR IF/WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, BUT THEY ARE UNWILLING TO PURCHASE THE CAR BACK FROM ME. *TR
