BRAKES INADVERTANTLY LOCK UP FOR JUST A COUPLE SECONDS THEN RELEASE. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A LOCAL SHOP AND THEY COULD'T FIND ANYTHING WROND

SUSPENSION&STEERING--- ALWAYS HAS VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END AT 60-70MPH BRAKES--- CAN'T KEEP BRAKES UNDER IT. HAVE TO DO BRAKES AND ROTORS 2-3 TIMES A YEAR
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL THE BRAKES LOCKED COMPLETELY AND CAUSED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THE CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER. THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM HAS YET TO BE DETERMINED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *NLM
CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT BRAKE PROBLEMS. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING GAS PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, AND CONSUMER HAD TO PHYSICALLY PULL IT OUT. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THAT THEY HAD NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS OR THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY RECALLS.*AK
BRAKES WOULD BE EXCHANGED EVERY 6 MONTHS DUE TO EXCESSIVE WEAR. THIS ALSO INCLUDED BRAKE PADS. WHEN APPLIED BRAKES, VEHICLE ALWAYS PULLED TO RIGHT.
SOON AS CONSUMER HAS PURCHASED VEHICLE SHE WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH BATTERY WHICH CAUSED ABS TO SHUT OFF. CONTACTED DEALER, AND DEALER WAS NOT WILLING DO TO DO ANYTHING.*AK
WIRING TO THE HCU AND/OR HCU ITSELF IS DEFECTIVE, ABS IS MALFUNCTIONING
BRAKES ARE NOT OPERABLE. ALSO, UPON APPLYING THE BRAKES THERE IS A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE.*AK CONSUMER STATES THAT BRAKES HAVE SQUEALED SINCE PURCHASE AND THAT REPLACEMENT BRAKES HAVE SAME RESULTS. *SLC

SUPSENSION PROBLEM/BALL JOINTS, VEHICLE IS SQUEAKING DUE TO WARPED ROTORS, SINCE PURCHASE. *AK *ML
ANTILOCK BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON WHEN RAINING OR CAR IS WASHED, SERVICE DEPT. STATED THAT WATER IS ENTERING THE BRAKE COMPUTER, AFTER IT DRIES OUT, THE LIGHT GOES OUT AND THE ANTILOCK BRAKES START WORKING CORRECTLY. SERVICE PERSONEL STATED THAT THIS IS NOT A SAFETY RECALL ISSUE AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE ENTIRE COST (APP. $480.) TO REPLACE THE UNIT. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT IF THE ANTILOCK BRAKES (OR AIRBAGS) BECAME DEFECTIVE, BECAUSE IT IS SAFETY EQUIPMENT, THAT THE MANUFACTURER MUST REPLACE OR FIX AT NO COST IF THE DEFECT WAS NOT DUE TO A CRASH. *AK
RIGHT FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM DEGRADED TO ALMOST FAILURE WITH 2 DIFFERENT SETS OF BRAKES. ONE ON 7/2/99 AND ANOTHER IN OCTOBER 1999. EACH SET OF BRAKES WERE GOOD FOR ABOUT 1000 MILES. AFTER THAT BREAK-IN PERIOD, THE BRAKES BEGAN TO GRIND AWAY AND THE ROTOR ASSEMBLY WAS THEN AFFECTED. I AM LOOKING FOR ANY INFORMATION OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM MALFUNCTION THAT MAY BE DUE TO SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE BRAKE SHOES THAT WERE INSTALLED. *AK
BRAKES ARE EATING UP THE BRAKE PADS AND THE ROTORS. ALSO, THERE IS SOME KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE, AND WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE. *AK
THE BRAKING SYSTEM HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PROBLEM, HIGHWAY SPEED USE SHAKES BADLY.
EXCESSIVE WEAR WITH FRONT BRAKES HAVE REPLACED SEVEN TIMES, PUCHASED ROTORS THREE TIMES
WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED THE VEHICLE VIBRATED. BRAKES WERE VERY ROUGH, AND CONSUMER HAD THE BRAKES REPAIRED THREE TIMES. VEHICLE HAS TO ONCE AGAIN BE BACK IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS ON THE BRAKES. DEALER CAN'T DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. *AK

BRAKES CONTINUE TO MAKE NOISE; FRONT BRAKES REPLACED -- STILL NOISE; WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, THE TRANSMISSION ACTED AS THOUGH IT WAS IN NEUTRAL -- HAD TO WAIT FOR IT TO RE-ENGAGE IN GEAR. THE GLOVE BOX JUST FELL OUT -- THE HINGE PIN WAS MADE OF PLASTIC AND DISINTIGRATED. THE FRONT BUMPER SECTION HAS SEPARATED AND IS FALLING OFF -- THIS IS A PLASTIC PIECE THAT ENCOMPASSES THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE CAR. THE BRAKES ARE THE REAL SAFETY ISSUE IN MY OPINION -- THEY DO NOT FEEL TRUSTWORTHY AND THE NOISE THEY MAKE WHEN YOU PUT PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS CONTINUED FOR OVER TWO YEARS. THE DEALER IS TOTALLY DISINTERESTED!!!!
