THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE AND THEY REPAIRED THE IGNITION SWITCH AND REPLACED THE KEY, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS STILL WITH THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEIR VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THEY JUMP STARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS ABLE TO RESTART. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REPLACED THE BATTERY AND THE VEHICLE WAS THEN ABLE TO START. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS UNABLE TO BE UNLOCKED. THE CONTACT HAD TO GET A NEW KEY MADE. THE LOCKSMITH THAT MADE THE NEW KEY JUMP STARTED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WENT TO WORK, WHEN THEY LEFT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AGAIN. THEY HOOKED THE BATTERY UP TO A BATTERY CHARGER AND THE BATTERY WAS DRAINED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN (THE CONTACT CAN'T GET INSIDE THE VEHICLE).
FUEL PUMP CONTINUES TO STAY ON WHEN VEHICLE IS OFF WITH NO KEY IN IGNITION. THIS IS CAUSING BATTERY DRAIN AND HARD STARTS AFTER JUMPING BATTERY. CAR ALSO IS STALLING AT TIMES WHILE IN MOTION. I HAVE SEEN A RECALL FOR OTHER MALES AND MODELS OF SAME YEAR FROM MOPAR VEHICLES, SUCH AS DURANGO. IT SEEMS TO BE FUEL PUMP RELAY IN TIPM.

THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONSUMER ADVISED THE BREAKDOWN WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY BATTERY. THE CONSUMER DOES NOT BELIEVE THE BATTERY WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. *JS

WAS ABLE TO GET THE VAN INTO NETUREL AND RESTARTED WHILE THE VAN WAS COASTING WITHOUT POWER. IT WAS A GOOD THING I DIDNT HAVE ANYONE FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. INSURANCE COMPANY EXAMINED CAR & AUTHORIZED REPAIR. CHRYSLER SENT AN ENGINEERING SAFETY INSPECTOR WHO HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO A DODGE DEALERSHIP WHERE INVESTIGATION WAS PERFORMED. WE RECEIVED A "SAFETY RECALL NOTICE" [ P25/NHTSA 14V-234] LATER THAT SAME DAY. CHRYSLER HAS IGNORED MY CALLS & LIVE-CHATS FOR THE PAST MONTH. DEALERSHIP STILL HAS THE VEHICLE BUT CAN'T GET A RESPONSE FROM CHRYSLER EITHER. INCIDENT OCCURRED 4 WEEKS AGO! HAVE BEEN FORCED TO RENT A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE -- AT MY EXPENSE -- FOR TRANSPORTATION PURPOSES.

SAYS THAT THEY ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM ONLY WITH CERTAIN DODGE MODELS AND SEEMS THAT MINE IS ONE OF THEM. THEY SAID THAT A RECALL MAY APPEAR DEALING WITH THE ECM AND SYSTEM UNDER THE HEADING OF "TIPUM". I HAVE CONTACTED DODGE ABOUT THIS BUT THEY DON'T REPLY. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON REPEATEDLY, NEARLY WEEKLY THEN GOES OFF AFTER THREE SUCCESSFUL STARTS. HAVE TAKEN THE VAN TWICE TO LITHIA IN MEDFORD TO CHECK AND THEY LOCATED A RECALL ON THE HEADER. THE HEADER WAS REPLACED BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THE CHECK ENGINE HAS LOGGED MULTIPLE "MIS-FIRE" ERRORS AND NO OTHER ERRORS. THE PROBLEM, TO THIS DAY, HAS NOT BEEN LOCATED AND THUS THEY TELL US THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. MEANWHILE, WE CONTINUE TO HAVE "MIS-FIRE" ERRORS AND STALL OUT IN INTERSECTIONS ALL OVER THE PLACE. ON THE FIRST VISIT, NEARLY TWO YEARS AGO NOW, LITHIA ALSO DISCONNECTED THE REAR WINDOW CONTROLS FOR A RECALL. THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS SENT HOME. JUST OVER A YEAR AGO WE RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO HAVE THE MIS-FIRE PROBLEM CHECKED AND LITHIA STATED THEY STILL DID NOT HAVE PARTS FOR OUR REAR WINDOW RECALL. THEY TOLD US THEY ADDED US TO THE WAITING LIST. ITS BEEN NEARLY TWO YEARS, I'VE RECEIVED MY SECOND NOTICE ON THIS RECALL AND I STILL DON'T HAVE CONTROL OF MY REAR WINDOWS. I BELIEVE TWO YEARS IS VERY UNREASONABLE TO WAIT FOR A RECALL FIX.

I HAVE A DODGE CARAVAN 2012 AND TAKING IT IN FOR SEVERAL ELECTRICAL ISSUES. WHEN IT WAS SENT TO THE DALLAS DODGE IN DALLAS, GA THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH CAR KILLING TWO BRAND NEW BATTERIES. BROUGHT A THIRD ONE AND FINALLY CALL TO HAVE IT PICKED UP SO THEY COULD CHECK IT.HE THEN CALLED ME AND SAID IT WAS THE DRIVER SEAT WIRING SYSTEMS AND TO FIX IT WOULD BY $500.00. I ADVISED HIM IF THAT WAS THE ISSUE AND IT WOULD BE WORKING PROPERLY GO AHEAD.I PICKED UP MY CAR AND GOT IT HOME. THE NEXT MORNING THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. SO I HAD IT SENT BACK TO THEM AND THEY CHECK IT AGAIN AND DID NOT FIND ANYTHING. I GOT IT BACK THE NEXT DAY WHICH WAS A SATURDAY AFTER SITTING THERE MAKING SURE THEY CHECK EVERYTHING. BASICALLY THEY SAID THE BATTERY WAS DEAD AND NOTHING WAS WRONG. I TOLD THEM IF I HAD ANY ISSUES I WOULD BRING IT BACK ON MONDAY. I ADVISED I WILL REMOVE THE BATTERY CABLE TO AT LEAST GO TO CHURCH THE NEXT DAY. WHEN I GOT HOME FROM CHURCH I DID NOT TAKE CABLE OFF AND BATTERY DIED AGAIN. SO ON MONDAY 8/17, I WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN. THEY SAID THE PUT IT ON A COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR SEVERAL HOURS AND ONLY NOTICE THAT MY BATTERY WAS HAVE WAY DRAINED. I STILL NO ANSWERS TO WHAT CAUSED IT TO DRAIN. I NOTICE THAT A MOTOR IN THE REAR AREA WOULD NOT STOP RUNNING. THE CAR WOULD COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. NO WE NOTICE THAT WE HAVING DELAYS IN STARTING THE CAR LIKE FUEL IS NOT GET THE ENGINE. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES TRYING TO START, IT WOULD STALL OUT AND THEN FINALLY START. SO AGAIN I HAD TO TAKE BATTERY CABLE OFF UNTIL THE NEXT FOLLOWING MONDAY - 8/24, I THIS TIME THEY ADVISED ME IT WAS THE TIMP MODULE AND IT WILL COST ME $1000 TO FIX IT. ME AND FAMILY DON'T FEEL SAFE IN THE CAR, NOW WE ARE EXPERIENCING STALLING WHILE WE ARE DRIVING. THIS IS NOT GOOD SERVICE IF YOU KNOW THERE IS AN ISSUE AND THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PART.
