I drove to Regal Cinema Hacienda Crossing for a 3:20 PM movie. Upon returning to the car, I noticed extremely slow and inconsistent responses from both the accelerator and the brake, making the vehicle nearly uncontrollable. I decided to drive cautiously toward the Stoneridge Dodge Service Center via [XXX] and exited at [XXX] . At the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] , I stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, the car failed to move forward despite pressing the accelerator. After several seconds, it suddenly surged forward uncontrollably, and when I pressed the brake, the response was delayed—the car continued moving into the intersection before it abruptly stopped. Fortunately, there was no collision, but the situation could easily have resulted in a serious accident. I parked nearby to inspect the vehicle and observed a yellow battery warning light on the dashboard and also a red word warning "the car is not ready to drive". After shutting off the car, I heard a mechanical noise lasting about 30 seconds. When I restarted it and shifted into reverse, the car instead moved forward slowly. After turning the engine off and restarting again, the warning light disappeared and the car seemed to return to normal. Given the danger, I chose to drive home slowly rather than continue to the service center. I feel this is a very serious incident that worth to report, to avoid the same issue that might have happened at other drivers' side. Besides the above issue, this car had been experienced 4 times false engine start up, I sent the car to Dodge service, they said they cannot duplicate the error so they returned my car and the leasing company Stellantis dispute the repurchase requirement. I suspect it was the charger issue(the charger also provided by Stellantis), I stop using the charger at home but only use the public charger. The issue happened on [XXX] Friday afternoon. Now I stopped use this car anymore. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2025 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the instrument cluster became inoperable while driving at an undisclosed speed at night. The contact pulled over, turned off, and restarted the vehicle, but the failure persisted. The contact stated that the instrument cluster became operable after recharging the vehicle at the residence. Additionally, the contact stated that the windows only rolled down or rolled up halfway, and the driver's side door had failed to latch securely. The door opened unintentionally after being closed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was serviced; however, the dealer was unable to correct the window failure because a fix was not available. Additionally, the contact stated that while assisting his son out of the vehicle through the driver's side door, the contact moved the front driver's side seat forward; however, the seat unexpectedly moved back, causing the torso of the contact's son to be trapped between the door and the seat. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where Dodge technicians inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that there was no fix for the failure. The contact stated that the front passenger's side seat also started to experience the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, but the vehicle could not be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that buyback assistance would be provided after the contact had paid an amount to compensate for the negative equity of the vehicle. The contact declined because he had purchased an unsafe vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 300.

The vehicle will display any number of warnings and then go into limp mode. The vehicle has been to the dealership 3 times to repair these issues but they have not been able to actually fix anything yet. The scariest aspect was the vehicle going into limp mode, but experiencing continued acceleration while not engaging either the accelerator or the brake pedal. There are numerous service bulletins and repair status issued by stellantis, but their dealer body does not know how to fix the cars. I feel like a stop sale should be ordered until they can get this under control. I'm also sure they won't be able to do the recall while the car is in service this time.

Drove the car home on July 2nd 2025 and plugged it in. July 3rd unplugged the vehicle got in the car and no start with several different warning lights, Service electric system, service dampening system and vehicle will shut down soon (although it was not even running). Waited about an hour, returned to vehicle and still nothing "no start". Tried again on July 4th and again no start. Call roadside assistance on July 5th and had the vehicle towed on a flatbed to the dealer. Vehicle has been at the dealer since then and its now July 26th. Dealer says they have run several test on vehicle and they have all failed. So on the 23rd of July I received a call that they had tested the 12V battery and it has also failed so they are going to replace it however it is on back order.

The contact owns a 2025 Dodge Charger EV. The contact stated that shortly after purchasing the vehicle, the doors and hatch back door failed to open immediately. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed and determined that the door sensors were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. Additionally, while driving into an intersection, the vehicle suddenly shut off with oncoming vehicles approaching. The vehicle was restarted and immediately experienced unintended acceleration and nearly caused a crash with several other vehicles. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer. The cause of the failure was not yet been determined. The failure mileage was 100.
