Anti-lock brake system and stability control system control module has failed and replacement parts have been unavailable. (For over a year me dealer has said.)
The "Vehicle Not in Park" warning message is a safety feature designed to prevent accidents and injuries. It's a standard safety feature in most modern vehicles, including the Dodge Charger. Here's what it's intended to do: When the vehicle is shifted out of Park (P) and the transmission is not fully engaged, the system will display a "Vehicle Not in Park" warning message on the dashboard. The vehicle is not properly positioned: If the vehicle is not properly positioned on a level surface or on a slope, the system may detect this and display the warning message. To resolve the "Vehicle Not in Park" issue on your Dodge Charger: Ensure the parking brake is fully engaged. Check that the transmission is fully engaged in gear (e.g., Park, Reverse, Drive). Make sure the vehicle is properly positioned on a level surface or adjust it to a flat surface. The car is in park but will not turn off instead it runs until it decides it wants to turn off which can take several hours. This is a safety concern and issue that needs to resolved we pay to much money on these vehicles to deal with crappy problems due to bad mechanical issues and features
Back up camera malfunction. This problem was recalled for 2015 models however my car is 2013. This still is a safety issue. Can not see over trunk without camera.
Intermittent disabling of the steering system resulting in multiple lights (abs, etc.) and steering locking up with the car in gear with no prior indication of an issue and no warning light or message prior to failure then today this happened along with delayed start and the power steering system fail message presented so g with the car steering locking up and the car becoming immovable while in gear. This followed by the car not starting at all and remaining immovable requiring a rollback tow.
Strong smell of gas in the inside of the cabin due to a fuel pump cracking at the top. I cannot fill up the car all the way due to the smell and gas staying in top of the fuel pump.
MESSAGE ON DASH INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE IS NOT IN PARK, WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK, PER PLACING THE SHIFTER INTO PARK POSITION AND IT WILL NOT SHUT OFF WITH THE PUSH BUTTON, UNTIL THE MESSAGE GOES AWAY, WHICH CAN TAKE PUTTING IT BACK INTO GEAR, OR PUSHING THE AUTOMATIC START BUTTON ON THE KEY FAUB OR WAITING FOR FOR THE MESSAGE ON THE DASH TO GO AWAY. LOOKED AT A FORUM THAT INDICATED THAT SOMEONE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM HAD THERE VEHICLE GO INTO REVERSE WITHOUT THE PERSON PLACING IT INTO REVERSE. MANY FORUMS WITH PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.

USERS ARE UNABLE TO REBOOT RADIO DEVICES ON THIS VEHICLE REQUIRING DEALER VISIT FOR DIAGNOSIS. DIAGNOSIS INDICATES FAILURE OF BLUETOOTH MODULE LOCATED NEAR STEERING WHEEL. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FOR DODGE BIASED ON INFO BOARDS, INSTALL VIDEOS AND OEM PARTS BEING SOLD TO REPAIR THIS. ON AUGUST 18, 2017, I STARTED MY 2013 DODGE CHARGER AND DISCOVERED THAT THE UCONNET SYSTEM WAS NO LONGER WORKING. MY HANDS FREE SYSTEM COULD NO LONGER BE CONNECTED. AFTER CONTACTING UCONNECT, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE BLUETOOTH MODULE HAD STOPPED WORKING. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM BEGAN SMELLING LIKE MOLD/MILDEW AFTER LESS THAN ONE (1) YEAR OF USE. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP MORE THAN 3 TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE WITHOUT RESOLUTION. THERE IS NOT ANY WATER COMING INTO THE PASSENGER FLOORBOARD THAT WOULD INDICATE A SIMPLE CONDENSATE DRAIN CLOG. FIRST RECOMMENDATION WAS TO RUN THE A/C ON RECIRCULATE FOR 10 MINUTES, THEN FRESH AIR FOR 10 MINUTES AND REPEAT 4-5 TIMES, THEN RUN THE VENT WITHOUT A/C FOR 10 MINUTES. SECOND RECOMMENDATION WAS TO CHANGE THE CABIN AIR FILTER (WHICH HAS A RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT AT THE 2 YEAR MARK). THIRD RECOMMENDATION WAS TO SPRAY AN ANTI-MICROBIAL/FRAGRANCE SOLUTION MADE BY BG INTO THE EVAPORATOR HOUSING. NONE OF THESE RECOMMENDATIONS HAVE RESULTED IN A RESOLUTION OF THE ISSUE. MY $40,000 CAR STILL SMELLS LIKE A BARN. THIS IS RIDICULOUS TO ME CONSIDERING I ALSO HAVE AN 18 YEAR OLD HONDA CIVIC THAT HAS NEVER, EVER HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE, BUT MY PREVIOUS 2008 CHARGER HAD THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM AFTER 3 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP (ALSO PURCHASED BRAND NEW FROM THE DEALER). 04/15/2015 THERE WAS A MUTUAL ACCIDENT OR FAULTY DUE TO SECOND DRIVER BEING BLINDED BY A TRUCK ON A MERGE INTO A DRIVE THRU BANKING AT PNC BANK N 87TH AND COTTAGE GROVE CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. I WAS SITTING IN THE TURN AND THE OTHER CAR HIT THE VEHICLE AT 45 MPH ON A 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT. THERE WAS MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE OTHER DRIVERS FRONT BUMPER, ALSO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO MINE. HOWEVER, THE ENTIRE BUMPER FELL OFF THE VEHICLE, THERE IS APPROXIMATELY 4500 DOLLARS WORTH OF REPAIRS TO BE DONE. AT ANY RATE THE BUMPER SHOULD HAVE SUSTAINED A DENT OR CRACK NOT THE ENTIRE BUMPER FALL OFF AND ALL PLASTIC PIECES HOLDING IT TOGETHER EITHER. WHAT IT IS WITH A 20K + CAR THAT A HIT EVEN AT THAT SPEED WOULD TAKE THE ENTIRE BUMPER OFF A CAR AND ALL PIECES HAVE TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE CONDENSER. THAT'S A REALLY BUM DEAL FOR A CAR THAT SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE. IT CAN'T HANDLE NOTHING. BUT AN OLDER CAR CAN PLEASE INVESTIGATE CAR STRUCTURE FOR DEFECTS. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS AND NOT FAIR AT ALL PLEASE ALLOW MANUFACTURE TO DO REPAIRS NOT FAIR AT ALL. WHO MAKES A BUMPER ON ANY CAR PLASTIC AND THE SCREWS TOO. PLEASE HELP NOT FAIR
