I BOUGHT A USED 1993 DODGE DAKATO IN APRIL OF 96, AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE THE PAINT WAS ALREADY FLAKING OFF IN LARGE PIECES(BLUE/SILVER), AND THE TRANSMISSION HAD BEEN REBUILT ONCE(60,000 MILES). SINCE THE TIME OF PURCHASE ALL OF THE PAINT IS GONE OFF THE HOOD AND ROOF, THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT AGAIN($1803.00), AND I REPLACED THE OVERHEAD CAM SENSOR 2X WITHIN 10 DAYS.I CONTACTED DODGE ABOUT THE PAINT FLAKING AND THEY OFFERED NO HELP.*AK

THE OVERDRIVE IN VEHICLE, CHEWS UP THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO THE BEARINGS WORKING LOOSE. THIS WAS CAUSED BY A LACK OF LUBRICATION ON THE BEARINGS. THIS CAUSES THE VEHICLE NOT TO BE ABLE TO SHIFT INTO GEARS WHEN THIS HAPPENS. WILL BE TAKING VEHICLE TO DEALER TO HAVE MECHANIC CHECK.
DESIGN FLAW OF BEARING IN A GEAR IN OVERDRIVE WORKED ITS WAY LOOSE BECAUSE OF INSUFFICIENT LUBRICATION IN THE MANUFACTURING STAGE WHICH RESULTED IN FAILURE TO THE TRANSMISSION. HOWEVER, THE OVERDRIVE AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILD TO CORRECT PROBLEM. *YC

WHILE DRIVING WAS PULLING INTO AN INTERSECTION WHEN VEHICLE ALL OF A SUDDEN LOCKED UP DUE TO DEFECTIVE TRANSFER CASE. VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO MOVE. DEALER NOTIFIED, AND WOULD NOT REPAIR UNLESS COST IS PAID THE CONSUMER. *AK
AXLE SHAFT CRAKED CAUSING KNOCKING SOUND WHILE GOING UP HILL.
CLUTCH PLATE CRACKED.
WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY 75 MPH WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, IT APPEARS THAT RANSFER CASE CAME APART, CAUSING FRONT WHEELS TO LOCK UP, NO NOISE/WARNING, VEHICLE WITH DEALER, TRANSFER CASE AND TRANSMISSION ORDERED. *AK
TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT FROM THIRD TO FOURTH GEAR.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND LEFT IN IDLE POSITION, IN PARK, JUMPED OUT OF GEAR. *AK
TRANSMISSION LOCKED IN PARK, UPON RELEASING, VEHICLE SHOT OUT OF CONTROL, CAUSING ACCIDENT. *DH
MAN-TRAN 4SP: WHEN SHIFTING FROM 3RD TO 4TH GEAR RPM RUNS UP TO 500 ABOVE NORMAL; HOLDS 30 SECONDS, DROPS BACK, VERY SLOW; NO WARNING. TT
AXLE SEALS REPLACED 3 TIMES. ALSO REPLACED DRIVESHAFT.
TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR AFTER STARTING//MUST BE PUT BACK INTO PARK THEN INTO GEAR, ALSO TRANSFER CASE (4WD) BROKE 4 TIMES. *AK
VEHICLE DOES NOT SHIFT INTO DRIVE GEAR UNTIL SHIFT LEVER IS MOVED INTO ANOTHER GEAR AND THEN INTO DRIVE. *SKD
