As I read the above comments/complaints on the 2014 Dodge Dart, I have realized that we all are having the same issues with the recall, the car not engaging in park, and the Keyfob not working properly where it takes from 5-30 minutes to turn the car off because it is still in the acc mode. Now the car has started yet ANOTHER problem that it doesn’t want to start. I paid for a tow to the repair shop and they checked everything out and could find absolutely nothing wrong, no codes showing up, nothing. I had bought a new battery, was about to replace the ignition switch and/or starter but the shop had experience with Dodge 2014 before and the same issues with no apparent issues?? I did pay for another key and fob which wasted $200 because even afterwards the fob wouldn’t release due to the car not going into the park position 100% and I’m still having all these problems. It is definitely a safety issue and we all are left here driving this piece of junk that the manufacturer doesn’t seem to have any answer or as they say “remedy” for the issue. And that’s another thing- we are having ISSUES not an issue. This problem has more involved than the recall and for the amount of people that have submitted a complaint should be an eye opener for the manufacturer - because most people don’t even report it because they don’t know to and the service department is going to get the money! There is and has been something going on with the entire braking, parking, transmission, cable, the last recall my car I was told wasn’t affected however the brakes went out totally without any warning or problem before hand. Said there was fluid or something that messed it up and it cost me $2000 to repair it when the exact issue was going on with the dodge dart 2013-2014 but of course MY CAR was not in that recall even though it had the same problem as the cats which were affected by the recall. I’ll never never purchase another Dodge and would advise anyone else not to purchase one.

In October I brought my car in due to my car not correctly going into park. It almost fully gave out the time the recall started for dodge darts gear shifter, though there were times my car wouldn’t go into park and release the key months before. The shop ran codes that mentioned the ignition switch. They replaced the ignition switch hoping that’d fix the problem, but it didn’t. They brought it to a dodge dealership to have it reprogrammed hoping it’d allow the switch to work. After no success they looked further into the problem and dodge confirmed it was the gear shifting cable. When I called dodge to have them look into it more, they let me know there’s nothing they can do and refused the attempt to fix it, saying there’s no remedy. No other codes were mentioned, other than the ignition switch that was replaced / reconfigured by dodge. Dodge confirmed it was the gear shifter by looking at the part. Due to the shop not knowing what to do, and not being able to fix the problem I haven’t had the best experience with being able to obtain documentation. Their receptionist let me know they deleted the file on my car. Since then I’ve reached out asking for proof of documentation from dodge, and called dodge as well, but haven’t been given the documentation I’ve requested many times.

The shift cable became disconnected from my vehicle with no prior warning while I was driving through a parking lot. The car would not move into park, or any other shift as it was stuck in reverse, and since it would not move into park, the car would not turn off, causing danger for every passenger in the car. All of our safety was at risk. We had to have the car towed to a firestone, where they were able to replace the shift cable, for the car to start working properly again. Just 2 days later, I received a recall notice in the mail, in regards to this very feature- the shift cable- disconnecting and causing the car to be stuck in motion in one direction. Exactly what happened to my car, and what I had just paid out of pocket to fix. I submitted this invoice and receipt for reimbursement, as a part was fixed which is inked to the recall, before I even knew there was a recall. Upon contacting Dodge, they simply stated they will not reimburse me since there is no remedy to the recall. Not reimbursing a customer who's life was at risk due to the recall, and had to fix the issue out of emergency, is inexcusable. I should not have to wait for a 'remedy' to be provided when I already paid out of pocket to have it fixed.

MY WIFE RETURNED HOME FROM A SHORT TRIP HERE IN TOWN AND IS UNABLE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK. THE SHIFTER INDICATOR IS STUCK IN REVERSE. THIS IS REMINISCENT OF THE ORIGINAL RECALL I BELIEVE IN 2019 REQUIRING A BUSHING ON THE TRANSMISSION CABLE.

Vehicle VIN [XXX] transmissions shift cable bushing issue. It's broken now. Under a recall. Took vehicle to Bob Moore Dodge in OKC 09/07/2024. They acknowledge the VIN is under recall. The part is broken today. But the part is not available. Per Bob Moore Dodge the part is not available in OKC, or anywhere in the US and may never be available. The y suggested I try going to another Dodge Dealer in town - 20 miles away, David Stanley Dodge, but even then, they admit David Stanley Dodge does not have the part. And they admit the vehicle may not be safe to drive. Mopar site [XXX] clearly shows the parts are available. So I think there is an issue here. Bob Moore Dodge in OKC just does not want to mess with fixing this issue? Or is the Mopar site wrong? So it's a Dodge vehicle. Broken down now. Transmission shift cable no longer attached to the transmission. Recall on this exact issue. I'm told it's not going to be fixed today, tomorrow and perhaps never. The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V293000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the vehicle was repaired under the recall. The contact stated that 3 weeks after the recall repair was performed; the vehicle failed to shift into park(P). The vehicle was towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with shifter cable failure. The dealer informed the contact that the repair would be out-of-pocket to replace the shifter cable. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that it seemed as if the vehicle had not been repaired by the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 179,000.

I purchased a 2014 Dodge Dart from this business on 08/10/2019. I drove the vehicle for only 1.5 years and then garaged it to give to my daughter later. I put only 20,000 miles on the vehicle. There were several issues during the short time that I had the vehicle. The tire pressure warning went on, and the clutch would stick to the floor. I had the pressure warning 'fixed' at Chrysler World only to have the same malfunction within a week. The clutch issue was due to a recall that I didn't qualify for as I did not purchase the vehicle new from the original dealership. I gave the vehicle to my daughter on 12/18/2023 and the clutch and transmission went out causing her to stop in the middle of the highway. I paid $105 to have the vehicle towed to my local Dodge dealership. The local dealership informed me that the clutch and transmission would need to be replaced for the amount of about $6100. Along with some other recall work on the computer and cat converter which would be free to me. I then emailed and called Chrysler World on 01/02/2024 to see if they would assist with the repair as I felt that this particular vehicle was totally flawed. The salesman advised he would call back on 01/03/24. That would work as I advised my local dealer that I would let them know within a day if they should continue and perform the maintenance. I did not hear from Chrysler World so I did ok the work which is underway. I did receive a call from Chrysler World on 01/08/24. Long after I would have had to let the local dealership know about continuing with the repairs. Chrysler World Indicated that they could not help in any way as it had been too long since the purchase.

The contact then shifted into park(P); however, the vehicle started reversing. The contact stated that the parking brake was engaged, and the vehicle responded as needed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to shift back into drive. The contact also stated that the vehicle began to overheat and displayed a message to not start the engine. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed failures with the transmission control module, the PCM, and the catalytic converter. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V542000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 123,000.

Last Thursday, August 3rd, I reversed my car out of my garage. Upon putting it in Drive, the engine light came on as well as the PRND lights illuminated red. As I was driving, I noticed my car felt sluggish to my destination, but I did make it. When I parked, I noticed how jerky the car was when shifting from drive to park. After my appointment, the red PRND lights were gone, with the engine light still on. I had another appointment to get new tires, and the car ran fine this time, except engine light still on. Once my new tires were on, engine light also no longer lit. I took my car to get it diagnosed. It gave out 3 codes; po705-00, p1c86-92, and B1578-2B with the last code indicating problems with my antenna. I checked it, and it appears to be broken in 2 areas. The first code po705-00 indicates failure of the transmission control module; which is strange. There was a related recall in 2019, in which I did take my vehicle into a dealership, and it was supposed to have been taken care of. The code p1c86-92 has to do with the PRNDL Display Circuit Current Out Of Range. I now do not feel safe driving my car, and the dealerships can’t get me in to look at my car, so I’ve been calling all over the area to mechanics that specialize in transmission issues. I can’t in until Sept 6th, and that’s just for another diagnosis BEFORE ordering parts and giving me a quote. When I first had these issues, I began researching the codes. It seems that there are a LOT of people with Dodge Darts having these exact same issues, but no recall has been issued as of yet. Please take care of this. Mechanics and dealerships are way overbooked, some are no longer taking jobs because they’re so backed up, and people like myself with no other vehicle will not have transportation. And I live in a rural community. Getting a recall on these transmission issues would be really helpful, as like I stated, many are having these exact problems. Thank you!

Driving down the highway my clutch started sticking, I was able to get it to keep driving at the time as it was unsafe and I was on 95 traveling south. My vehicle was looked at confirmed good and out of no where it entirely went, I then went ro a shop that refused to contact me napleton dodge in Florida while having my car in possession. Due to this entire out of no where no signs of issue on top of the company having ny car for a week and refusing to give me answers so I could try ro figure out ny car. My entire family was at risk as we were lucky to even make it safely to our location.

I've had 0 signs of clutch issues in my 2014 dart. All of a sudden. It went. A peice has some how out of no where just fell off resulting in barely able to move it. This went while on the highway out of no where while.driving.

The contact stated that the shift lever failed to register the intended gear on the gear shift selector. The contact stated that the gear selector only selected neutral or park correctly. The contact stated that the transmission failed to select or register the correct gear. The failure recurred intermittently. less than 2 years after purchasing this vehicle brand new my car started consuming oil and actually caused my car to die in the middle of the road. Chrysler ended up completely replacing my engine due to scoring found in the pistons. In the last year I have done another oil consumption and feel just under the threshold of what Chrysler deems "bad enough". They did an update and it has not been a problem since. In the past few months I have been having issues with my car in park not releasing my key. My car will be in park and I can turn it back 1 notch and it gets stuck in the ACC position. Turns out my shifter cable was damaged and I have replaced that with a $500+ repair. Well unfortunately it didn't completely solve my problem and I will still occasionally have the issue and now they are stating I need to completely replace my shifter and knob assembly. The repairs don't seem to stop...

When trying to park the car it doesn’t necessarily allow you to turn the car off without moving the shifter around until the car is satisfied and allows you to finally shut down. Also the radio seems to just shut off and on once and awhile.

When driving vehicle at 40+ mph and making a turn the vehicle then stalls, loosing power and the transmission will not resume acceleration after turn is completed. We had to pull the vehicle off the road and out of traffic because of power loss. The vehicle check engine light was illuminated prior to experiencing problem. A dealership in Oklahoma City, OK confirmed a transmission malfunction code.

Unknown....transmission fluid reservoir was not holding the fluid and leaking it out and I didn't know of this til my car all of a sudden would not go as I pressed on the gas and then it jerk out of nowhere and it sped up all on its own and I almost rear ended the vehicle in front of me but I steered to side of road and it was still reving up and then stalled and I had no power steering power and brakes were hard to use. There was no pressure warning signs this car was running perfectly fine before this happened. No low fluid notification no check engine light or anything.

My engine is still shutting off randomly and they told me that there is a recall on my powertrain and all they did was reprogram it even though that is not helping my car it’s still shutting off or trying to shut off

Clutch wouldn’t decompress and stuck to the floor. Couldn’t shift gear while I while driving and I had to pull over. Luckily there was no traffic at the time. Waiting for the dealership get back to me on a response. They haven’t checked it out yet. There was no warning lights or anything to indicate there was a problem.

Dodge has an active recall (R42) that matches the situation that happened to my car. My car switched into neutral while driving multiple times, at speeds 60+ and the dodge dealer diagnosed the issue as the tcm needing replaced. This happened several times, if there were people behind me they would have ran into me as my car jolted and decreased speeds rapidly, then shut off. My exact situation matches the recall except the vin is different, but it is the same make and model. However, dodge will not do anything about it, or warn customers.

HILLVIEW MOTORS (5309 U.S. 30 E, GREENSBURG, PA 15601, (724) 858-4809) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. I GOT A RECALL LETTER ON MY VEHICLE A FEW YEARS AGO REGARDING THE A POWERTRAIN ISSUE, AN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND MOUNTING BRACKET. I AM SURE I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIRS. THE CAR IS NOW SHIFTING ITSELF INTO NEUTRAL WHILE I AM DRIVING, AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT TO DRIVE AGAIN IS TO SHIFT IT INTO REVERSE, THEN NEUTRAL AND BACK INTO DRIVE, YOU CAN SEE HOW THIS WOULD BE A PROBLEM WHEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. I HAVE CHECKED THE RECALL INFORMATION ON VEHICLE AND IT SAYS IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED, BUT THE ISSUES IS STILL VERY PRESENT. IT ALWAYS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING, IT WILL SOMETIMES HAPPEN AS SOON AS I PULL THE CAR OUT OF PARK.

THE CLUTCH PEDAL BEGAN OCCASIONALLY STICKING, SOMETIMES ALL THE WAY IN TO THE FLOOR, OTHER TIMES HALFWAY AND MADE IT DIFFICULT TO SHIFT. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER. THE ISSUE QUICKLY DETERIORATED, WHERE IT WAS HAPPENING ALL OF THE TIME. NOW WHEN I START THE CAR WITH THE CLUTCH IN, THE SAFETY ALLOWS ME TO START THE CAR, BUT THE CAR IMMEDIATELY BEGINS TO MOVE AS IF THE CLUTCH IS NOT DEPRESSED IF STARTED IN FIRST GEAR, AND THEN I CANNOT SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND NEED TO EITHER BE READY TO GO OR SHUT THE ENGINE OFF SO AS NOT TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE IN THE MARKETPLACE AND THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO HAVE THE CAR BEING TO MOVE AS SOON AS IT IS STARTED AND NOT BE ABLE TO SHIFT BACK INTO NEUTRAL. I FEAR THERE WILL BE SEVERAL ACCIDENTS CAUSED BY THIS FOR ANYONE NOT FULLY AWARE WHEN STARTING THEIR CAR.

2014 DODGE DART PURCHASED NEW. WAS DRIVING VEHICLE ON CITY STREET AND CAME TO STOP AND CAR JUST STALLED ON ME WITH NO WARNING WHICH WAS VERY SCARY. VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP STALLING SO TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND THE TECHNICIAN SAID IT WOULD COST AT LEAST A THOUSAND TO TAKE CAR APART AS THEY BELIEVE IT IS A INTERNAL ENGINE PROBLEM. IT SUCKS CAUSE NOW MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND BY DOING SOME SEARCHING LOOKS LIKE THIS IS NOT A NEW PROBLEM TO DODGE BUT NOTHING WAS EVER DONE ABOUT IT. MY CAR IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH ONLY 60,000 MILES.

MY CAR HAS BEEN AT DEWEY SINCE JULY 23RD FOR A SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT. WHEN I DROPPED MY CAR OFF, IT WAS PLUGGED INTO THE COMPUTER AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE CODE THAT POPPED UP WAS FOR A RECALL ON A TRANSMISSION MODULE AND ONCE THE SERVICE TECH LOOKED AT IT, I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL REGARDING ANY COSTS AND TIME OF REPAIR. AS I WAS LEAVING ON VACATION FOR THE WEEK, I WAS NOT TOO CONCERNED. SATURDAY 7/25 - I RECEIVED A CALL THAT A PART WAS ON ORDER AND THE CAR SHOULD BE READY MONDAY OR TUESDAY. AGAIN, AS I WAS ON VACATION, I SAID THAT WOULD BE JUST FINE. I STARTED CALLING AND TEXTING MY SERVICE ADVISOR, TRENT, THURSDAY (7/30) MORNING. I DID NOT HEAR ANYTHING FROM HIM UNTIL SATURDAY (8/1). HE STATED HE FORGOT TO CALL ME BUT THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR. HE SAID THE MODULE WAS REPLACED AND WHEN THEY WENT TO START THE CAR, THERE WAS NO POWER. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS FRIED. HE SAID THAT THE LEAD TECH WOULD LOOK AT IT MONDAY AND WE WOULD GO FROM THERE. TUESDAY 8/4 - I RECEIVED A CALL FROM TRENT THAT THE LEAD TECH NEEDED TO REACH OUT TO CHRYSLER FOR ASSISTANCE. FRIDAY 8/7 - RECEIVED A CALL THAT CHRYSLER WAS SENDING ANOTHER MODULE AND IT SHOULD BE THERE MONDAY. MONDAY 8/8 - WE HAD THE STORM AND I DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE. THURSDAY 8/6 - RECEIVED A CALL THAT THE MODULE DID NOT WORK. CHRYSLER DECIDED TO SEND A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION. IT WILL BE HERE MONDAY OR TUESDAY AND WILL KNOW MORE BY END OF THE WEEK. MONDAY 8/10 - EMAIL SENT TO GM AT DEWEY EXPRESSING CONCERN. SPOKE WITH HIM REGARDING TRADING IN CAR OR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON MY CAR. TOLD NO ADDITIONAL WARRANTY WILL BE GIVEN. TRANSFER TO SALES. THURSDAY 8/13 - TOLD MY CAR WOULD BE READY EARLY NEXT WEEK. WEDNESDAY 8/17 - CALLED SERVICE AGAIN. WERE TOLD NOT SURE THAT THE NEW TRANSMISSION EVEN ARRIVED. WILL CALL BACK. DRIVE THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP AND MY CAR IS JUST SITTING OUTSIDE IN THE LOT.

I PULLED IN PARKING LOT AND WENT TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, ALL THE GEAR LETTERS TURNED RED AND IT DIDN'T DISPLAY, BY THE FUEL GAUGE, WHICH GEAR I WAS IN LIKE IT USUALLY DOES. I DIDN'T ACTUALLY KNOW IF I WAS IN PARK BECAUSE ALL LIGHTS ON SHIFTER WERE LIT IN RED. WHEN I TRIED TO SHIFT UP TO PARK AS MUCH AS I COULD IT MADE A CLICKING NOISE EACH TIME. SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF...AND THEN BACK ON. HAPPENED AGAIN A WEEK LATER. I TOOK IT TO HAVE COMPUTER ANALYSIS RUN ON IT. INDICATED A FAULT IN THE TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT. CHECKED RECALL ON VEHICLE. SHOWS THERE IS A RECALL ON TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS POSSIBLE ON DODGE DARTS 2013-2015 MODELS.

WOULD NOT START FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES, THEN STARTED AND RAN FINE. ON THE WAY TO THE MECHANIC, TRANSMISSION WENT INTO NEUTRAL ON THE HIGHWAY. LUCKILY I WAS NEAR AN EXIT, I HAD TO COAST OFF THE HIGHWAY. THE TRANSMISSION SHOP AND AN AUTO ELECTRIC SHOP TOLD ME THE TCM AND THE VALVE BODY INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED REPLACING. THE TRANSMISSION SHOP TOLD ME THEY CALLED CHRYSLER AND WERE TOLD THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND THAT IT WAS A PROGRAM ISSUE AND REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION WOULD FIX NOTHING. THEN CHRYSLER TOLD THEM IF THEY FIGURE IT OUT, TO LET THEM KNOW. *TR

ON THREE OCCASIONS, MY CAR HAS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF WHILE THE CAR WAS ON AND IN DRIVE. ON ONE OCCASION, IN SEPTEMBER 2019, I DRIFTED TO SAFETY AND TRIED PUTTING MY CAR IN PARK, THE SHIFTER EFFORTLESSLY SLID TO PARK MODE BUT THE LIGHT WAS ON "D" AS IF IT WERE IN DRIVE. I COULD NOT TAKE MY KEY OUT BECAUSE MY CAR THOUGHT IT WAS IN DRIVE SO I WAS STUCK WITH MY FOOT ON THE BREAK, WITH A CAR THAT SHUT DOWN ON ME. I COULDN'T EVEN MOVE THE KEY TO TRY TO TAKE IT OUT AND RESTART THE CAR. I BROUGHT MY CAR IN AND "FIXED IT'. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A V34 RECALL AND THAT THEY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION SIDE SHIFTER CABLE BUSHING. HOWEVER, LESS THAN A YEAR LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN, TWICE TODAY (JUNE 2020). ONCE ON MY WAY TOO THE GYM AND ONCE FROM THE GYM, BACK HOME. ON BOTH OCCASIONS TODAY, THE ELECTRONICS ON THE TOUCH SCREEN AND THE DIGITAL DISPLAY THAT DISPLAYS THE SPEED WENT BLACK AND RESTARTED THEN MY CAR COMPLETELY DIED WHILE IN DRIVE. CARS PILED UP BEHIND ME. PEOPLE WERE HONKING AND ANGRY. I TRIED MOVING THE SHIFTER TO PARK SO I COULD TAKE MY KEY OUT AND RESTART BUT THE CAR LOCKED UP ON ME AND I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE THE SHIFT OR TAKE MY KEY OUT. I HAD TO WIGGLE THE KEY OUT FOR OVER A COUPLE MIN AND EVENTUALLY WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE KEY IN PARK AND TAKE IT OUT AND RESTARTED MY CAR. IT CAUSED A TRAFFIC DILEMMA AND WAS TERRIFYING THAT MY CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN IN A NOT SO SAFE AREA AND ON A REALLY BUSY ROAD DURING RUSH HOUR. WHEN TURNING THE CAR OFF, THE KEY FOB GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. THIS SOMETIMES CAN BE RESOLVED BY TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, PRESSING ON THE BRAKE AND ADJUSTING THE SHIFTER FORWARD TO CLICK INTO PARK. IT'S AS IF THE SHIFTER IS NOT RECOGNIZING THE CAR IS IN PARK SO IT WILL NOT RELEASE THE KEY FOB. IT COULD USUALLY BY FIXED EASILY, NOW TAKES SOMETIMES 1-3 MINUTES; WHICH INCLUDES RESTARTING THE CAR AND PUTTING IT IN REVERSE OR DRIVE AND BACK INTO PARK. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY & THEN WILL STOP FOR A FEW DAYS. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP LAST WEEK FOR THIS ISSUE AND THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WHILE I'M DRIVING AND THEY 'COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM' AS THEY STATED. HOWEVER, JUST THE PAST TWO DAYS IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN. THIS IS SIMILAR TO THE ISSUE FROM THE 2019 RECALL FOR THE BUSHING CABLES. THERE IS AN OBVIOUS ISSUE AS THIS IS NOT NORMAL. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO TO FIX THIS IF THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY CAN'T FIND A PROBLEM. IS THERE A NEW RECALL OR OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS? I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND NOT EVEN A MILE FROM MY HOUSE WHEN I WAS COMING TO A STOP AT A STOP SIGN MY 2014 DODGE DART SXT STALLED. WHEN IT STALLED THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND I SHUT IT OFF. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO START THE NEXT TRY. THEN 7 DAYS LATER, I WAS DRIVING NO MORE THAN 30 SECONDS WHEN I WAS COMING TO A STOP AT ANOTHER STOP SIGN AND THE CAR STALLED AGAIN WITH THE BATTERY LIGHT COMING ON. I TRIED TO START IT AGAIN A FEW TIMES BUT WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. I NEEDED A JUMP. I DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO A MECHANIC WHO RAN A FEW TESTS ON THE CAR INCLUDING CHECKING THE BATTERY AND CHARGING SYSTEM. HE SAID EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD WHICH I FIGURED SINCE I JUST CHANGED THE BATTERY A YEAR AGO. I DROVE IT HOME. 2 DAYS LATER I WAS TWO BLOCKS FROM MY HOUSE WHEN IT STALLED FOR A THIRD TIME (MIND YOU THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE THESE OCCURRENCES). AGAIN, I WAS COMING TO A STOP AND THE CAR STALLED, THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON, AND I NEEDED TO HAVE A JUMP SINCE I COULDN'T GET IT TO START. AFTER RESEARCHING A BIT, THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE. A FEW PEOPLE SAID THAT CHANGING THE OIL OR ADDING MORE DID THE TRICK SO I CHECKED MY OIL AND IT WAS FINE PLUS I CHANGED THE OIL 3 MONTHS AGO SO IT ISN'T THAT. MOST CASES MENTIONED THAT THIS STARTED TO OCCUR AROUND THE 50,000 MILE MARK, WHICH IS ABOUT WHERE MINE IS. THERE REALLY SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS CAR ' IT'S A DEATH TRAP! WHEN THE CAR STALLS THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT AS WELL SO IF THIS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY IT WOULD BE VERY DANGEROUS. THIS ISSUE COULD REALLY HURT SOMEONE AND DODGE REALLY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT OR FIND A SOLUTION. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP IN JENKINTOWN, PA TO GET LOOKED AT AND WAS INFORMED OF A FEW RECALLS BUT NONE THAT HAD TO DO WITH MY ISSUES. THE FACT THAT THIS IS CLEARLY A COMMON ISSUE IS VERY CONCERNING ESPECIALLY SINCE THERE SEEMS TO BE NO CLEAR SOLUTION.

I WAS INFORMED THAT THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER, RESERVOIR, AND CLUTCH KIT ALL HAD TO BE REPLACED, TO THE TUNE OF > $2000. I ESCALATED TO FCA UNDER THE X62 TSB, AND MY REPAIRS, AND A RENTAL WERE PROVIDED. NOW YESTERDAY, 9/9/19 AT 9:00AM, MY CLUTCH IS COMING DISENGAGED WHILE ACCELERATING, IN ALL 6 GEARS, 15-65 MPH AND I DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALER. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE WARRANTY PERIOD ON THE PREVIOUS REPAIR EXPIRED 4 MONTHS AGO. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WHICH FAILED PREVIOUSLY WERE REPLACED WITH ORIGINAL PARTS, WHICH WOULD LEAD TO ADDITIONAL FAILURE. IN DOING MY OWN RESEARCH, THE 2014 DODGE DART MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS ARE EQUIPPED WITH A CLUTCH DELAY VALVE. THE INTENTION OF THE CDV IS TO HELP INEXPERIENCED DRIVERS, BUT IN REALITY IS MAKES LAUNCHING JERKY, QUICK SHIFTING DIFFICULT, AND PREMATURE CLUTCH WEAR A REAL POSSIBILITY.

MY VEHICLE HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION, A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING ABOUT 60-65 MILES PER HOUR, MY CLUTCH DROPPED TO THE FLOOR AND I STARTED SMELLING MY CLUTCH BURNING. I WASN'T ABLE TO SHIFT INTO ANY GEAR, MY ENGINE WOULDN'T EVEN STAY ON IT KEPT STALLING. ITS BEEN ALMOST THREE WEEKS NOW AND NO ONE IS GIVING MY ANY ANSWERS AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON, ALL I AM BEING TOLD IS THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO MY DRIVING. MY CAR HAS A LITTLE OVER 43,000 MILES, NOTHING MORE AND MY CLUTCH IS NOW IN PIECES. SOME OF MY CLUTCH IS PERMANENTLY ON MY FLYWHEEL NOW. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A MANUAL TRANSMISSION FOR OVER NINE YEARS AND HAD DRIVEN SEVERAL VEHICLES AND HAVE NEVER BURNT OUT MY CLUTCH. MY WARRANTY THROUGH CAR MAX WILL NOT COVER IT, NO ONE WANTS TO EVEN LOOK AT MY ISSUE BECAUSE ALL THEY HEAR IS CLUTCH FAILURE AND ITS AUTOMATICALLY MY FAULT.

FOR OVER 2 YEARS MY DODGE DART 2014 BOUGHT BRAND NEW OFF A CAR LOT HAS BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING IT WOULD SHIFT INTO 1 ST GEAR AND READLINE THE RPM TACH METER AND WOULD NOT SHIFT BACK UP TO ITS PROPER GEAR. I HAVE TO RESET THE BATTERY AFTER DISCONNECTING IT FOR 15MINS AND THEN SOMETIMES IT WILL CONTINUE TO OPERATE PROPERLY. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER 2 YEARS. MY CAR HAS LESS THAN 40,000 MILES ON. DODGE IS JUST NOW DOING RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM WHICH IS RELATED TO THE TRASMISSION BUSHING CABLE. JUST NOW AFTER ITS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER 2 YEARS THEY ARE TRYING TO OFFER RECALLS. IT STARTED BACK IN APRIL. MY CAR WOULDN'T GO INTO REVERSE. IT STARTED FLASHING THE R ON THE DASH THEN NEXT TO THE GEAR SHIFT. I TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP. IT THEN STARTED NOT GOING INTO REVERSE OR DRIVE. NOT ONLY WOULD THE LIGHTS FLASH AT ME BUT IT WOULD SAY PLACE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL THEN DRIVE OR REVERSE. IT ENDED UP TOWED ONCE BECAUSE T WOULDN'T GO ANYWHERE. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT POPPED UP. IT SAID ALL MY GEARS WERE NOT FOUND. IT HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP 7 TIMES FOR THIS SAME REASON. IT WON'T REVERSE AND/OR WON'T GO INTO DRIVE. THE GEAR SHIFT ALSO POPPED INTO PARK GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. MOST RECENTLY I HAD A COLLISION WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE IN REVERSE AND ENDED UP GOING FORWARD AND HITTING A PARKED VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT FIXED AND I OWE MONEY ON IT. MY BRAKES HAVEN'T BEEN WORKING CORRECTLY AND I KNOW THEY ARE STILL GOOD BECAUSE MY MECHANIC DAD AND BOYFRIEND HAVE CHECKED THEM. THE CRUISE WILL GO OFF RANDOMLY AND THE TOUCH SCREEN GOES WHITE, BLACK AND BACK ON. THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL WITH NO REMEDY. I DO NOT FEEL LIKE THIS IS THE CAUSE. I PULLED UP INTO MY DRIVEWAY, I STARTED TO PUT MY CAR IN PARK, AND IT WOULD NOT GO IN TO PARK. IT FELT LIKE THE ENTIRE SHIFTER WAS BROKEN OR LOOSE, AS IT WOULD FREELY MOVE UP AND DOWN WITHOUT ACTIVELY PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK, NEUTRAL, REVERSE OR DRIVE. I COULD NOT PULL MY KEY OUT, I HAD NO OTHER OPTION, BUT TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, AND UNPLUG MY BATTERY. I FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO PULL THE KEY OUT OF THE FOB, SO THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TO LEAVE MY KEYS IN THE CAR. THIS WAS IN MID TO LATE APRIL. I WENT ONLINE TO SEE IF I COULD TROUBLESHOOT AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE SHIFTER CABLE BUSHING, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS MISSING FROM MY CAR. I OBSERVED THE SHIFTER CABLE WAS NO LONGER ATTACHED, AND THAT IS WHY THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE SHIFTED INTO ANY GEARS. IT IS NOW JULY 18TH, AND I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE MY VEHICLE. NO ONE CAN FIX IT, DUE TO THE PART NOT BEING AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER IS V34, AND THE NHTSA RECALL NUMBER IS 19V-293. THE RECALL STARTED APRIL 11TH 2019 AND I HAVE YET TO SEE ANYTHING FROM DODGE. I HAVE BEEN PUT ON A LIST TO BE MADE AWARE WHEN A PART IS AVAILABLE, BUT NOW I AM GETTING UPSET BECAUSE I CAN NO LONGER SUSTAIN NOT HAVING A WORKING CAR, ESPECIALLY ONE THAT I PAY FOR EVERY MONTH.

I HAVE BEEN HAVING DIFFICULTY SHIFTING GEARS AFTER THE CAR HAS WARMED UP. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS NOW.IT HAS GOTTEN SO BAD THIS PAST WEEK THAT IT ALMOST LEFT ME STRANDED 40 MILES FROM HOME WHEN I HAD STOPPED FOR FUEL. CARE STARTS OVERHEATING WHILE THE COOLANT IS FULL AND ALL OTHER COMPONENTS ARE WORKING. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THE OVERHEATING AND THERE IS NO SIGN OF DAMAGE TO BE REPAIRED. ON APRIL 17, 2019, WHEN ARRIVING AT DESTINATION, I ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT GEARS INTO PARK. HOWEVER, GEARS SHIFTED INTO REVERSE PERMANENTLY. WE TURNED OFF THE IGNITION, BUT ALL LIGHTS STAYED ON AND WE COULD NOT REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE KEY OUT WAS TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY. I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER THE FOLLOWING DAY ON APRIL 18TH, AND THEY ADVISED OF A RECALL FOR SHIFT CABLE BUSHING. I ASKED HOW LONG THE PROCESS WOULD TAKE, THEY STATED THEY WOULD MAIL A LETTER TO ADVISE HOW TO SET UP APPOINTMENT, THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER PARTS. I CALLED BACK ON APRIL 25TH TO INQUIRE ONCE AGAIN ABOUT HOW LONG THE PROCESS USUALLY TAKES, AND THEY DID NOT ADVISE OF A TIME FRAME. I ADVISED THE REPRESENTATIVE THAT MY CAR CANNOT BE DRIVEN AT ALL, AND ASKED IF I WERE TO GET A RENTAL CAR OR GET MY CAR FIXED MYSELF WOULD I BE REIMBURSED. THE REPRESENTATIVE ADVISED THAT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE. I'VE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER ONCE AGAIN ON MAY 8, 2019. AT THE TIME I HAD NO CLUE ABOUT THE OIL ISSUE AS I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW IN 2014. IT IS COSTING ME QUITE A BIT TO KEEP OIL IN IT. THE MANUFACTURER FLAW IS THAT THEY USED ALUMINUM PISTON WHICH BURN THROUGH THE OIL. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED AND A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED. OTHER TIMES I'VE PUT MY CAR ON CRUISE CONTROL AND IT'S TURNED OFF MINUTES AFTER BEING SET. WAS TOLD TO CHANGE THE OIL MORE OFTEN WHICH I DID AT MAXIMUM OF 3000 MILES, ON A 2014?! THIS TIME (ITS BEEN SEVERAL SEVERAL TIMES ALREADY) MY CAR TURNED OFF AND WOULDN'T TURN BACK ON, TRIED JUMP STARTING IT FOR ALMOST 3 HOURS AND IT DID NOTHING TO THE CAR, THE CAR DIDN'T BUDGE. THE DASHBOARD WOULD FLICKER ON AND OFF AND ALL THE SWITCHES WOULD GO CRAZY INCLUDING MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS THAT WEREN'T EVENT ON IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY SENT ME AWAY AND SAID THAT THIS WAS ACCEPTABLE.THE ENGINE ONLY HOLDS ABOUT FOUR QUARTS THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND I WILL NEVER MAKE IT INTO MY NEXT OIL CHANGE WITHOUT THE CAR SHUTTING OFF. THE CAR SHUTS OFF DUE TO A SAFETY REACTION TO STOP THE ENGINE FROM BEING DAMAGED DUE TO LOW OIL. I HAVE NOT MADE IT TO MY OIL CHANGE SINCE I HAVE BEEN REFILLING THE OIL. DODGE'S GUIDELINES SAY IT IS "ACCEPTABLE" FOR THE 2.4 ENGINE TO BURN 1 QUART EVERY 750 MILES. THAT IS ALL THE ENGINE OIL IN THE ENGINE SINCE IT ONLY HOLDS 4 QUARTS EVERY 3,000 MILES. THE THIRD TIME IT STOPPED ON ME WHILE DRIVING WAS ON THE HIGHWAY OCT. 2017 HAD TO GET A JUMP AND HE KEPT STALLING OUT BEFORE IT COMPLETELY STOPPED THIS TIME I CONTACTED DODGE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO TOLL ME TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP FOR DOCUMENTATION. I HAVE OPEN A CASE WITH CHRYSLER CORPORATION AND FEEL LIKE I'M GETTING NO WHERE, AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT EVEN BOTHER TO CONTACT ME. I'M GOING THROUGH ALL OF THIS WHEN THE CAR IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD WITH 48,000 MILES STILL COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. TAKATA RECALL THIS 2014 DODGE DART AERO HAS NOW HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH THE CLUTCH AND AXLES. IT IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP TO HAVE THE SLAVE CYLINDER FOR THE CLUTCH AS WELL AS THE AXLES FIXED FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 2 YEARS. THEY ARE ALSO IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING IN TO WHY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOR THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. THIS MAKES 2 TIMES THAT IT HAS GONE TO THE SHOP FOR CLUTCH AND AXLE ISSUES. THEY ALSO DON'T KNOW WHAT THE REAL PROBLEM IS FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I HAVE ASKED THEM TO BUY THE CAR BACK AND THEY WONT. THEY ALSO STATED THAT I MAY BE HAVING TO PAY SOME OUT OF POCKET TO GET MY CAR FIXED THIS TIME. THIS CAR IS NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. LIKE I MENTIONED BEFORE; TWICE FOR THE CLUTCH AND AXLES, THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON FOR A REASON THEY DON'T KNOW OTHER THAT THEY THINK IT IS THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR, THE THIRD TIME I TOOK IT TO DODGE FOR AN OIL CHANGE THEY TOLD ME THAT NO OIL CAME OUT OF THE ENGINE AND THEN TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO ME THAT MY ENGINE WAS "KNOWN" TO DO THAT. NOW I HAVE JUST GOTTEN OFF THE PHONE WITH THE MANUFACTURER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY REPLIED WITH THEY WILL COVER ALL THE COSTS EXCEPT FOR $100. SEEMS KIND OF ODD TO SETTLE ON THAT AMOUNT. PLUS THEY WONT BUY IT BACK. THEREFORE, THIS CAR IS KNOWN TO HAVE CLUTCH AND ENGINE PROBLEMS AND DODGE EXPECTS ME TO DRIVE AROUND NOT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT IF MY LIFE IS AT RISK. I SHOULD ALSO MENTION THAT THE TIRES THAT CAME ON THE CAR WERE FAULTY AS WELL AS I HAD TO REPLACE TWO OF THEM ALREADY. THE BANDS ON THE INSIDE OF THE TIRE CAME LOOSE AND CAUSED PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVING AS WELL. THIS IS JUNKER CAR THAT I PURCHASED NEW AND DODGE COULD CARE LESS THAT IT IS FALLING APART.

WHILE DRIVING MY 2014 DODGE DART, THE CLUTCH DROPPED COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR BOARD IN BETWEEN SHIFTING FROM SECOND TO THIRD GEAR MAKING SHIFTING IMPOSSIBLE, WHILE I WAS DRIVING UP A 2 LANE HILL IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. THERE WAS NO SHOULDER TO PULL OVER TO AT THE MOMENT THE CLUTCH DROPPED, CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO REACH DOWN AND GRAB IT WITH MY LEFT HAND. I WAS UNABLE TO RE ENGAGE THE CLUTCH, THUS STAYED IN SECOND GEAR UNTIL I REACHED THE TOP OF THE HILL WHERE A SHOULDER BECAME AVAILABLE. I GENTLY USED THE BRAKE TO SLOW THE CAR DOWN WHILE IN THE SHOULDER UNTIL THE CARE STALLED OUT. AFTER SITTING IN THE CARE FOR SEVERAL MINUTES I TRIED TO START MY CAR BUT WAS UNABLE TO BECAUSE OF THE CLUTCH RESTING ON THE FLOOR BOARD, I WAS ABLE TO PULL IT UP WITH MY HAND AND UPON RELEASE IT WOULD FALL BACK TO THE FLOOR BOARD. AFTER SEVERAL MORE MINUTES THE CLUTCH SEEMED TO CORRECT ITSELF, LETTING ME STAT MY CAR AND RESUME MY TRIP HOME, APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE FURTHER. WHILE CONTINUING MY TRIP, THE CLUTCH SEEMED TO LOOSE "PRESSURE" AND HAD TO PRESS THE CLUTCH COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR BOARD IN ORDER TO SHIFT. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS ISSUE HAS COM UP, THE FIRST TIME BEING REPAIRED IN JULY 2015.

I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2014 DODGE DART AERO AND ABOUT 3 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING MY CAR STALLED AND SHUT OFF, THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO DODGE AND THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE A CODE BUT THEY SAW AN ISSUE WITH MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. A PART TO MY TRANSMISSION WAS RECALLED, WE WAITING FOR OVER 3 MONTHS FOR THE PART AND UPON BRINGING MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY REPORTED MY CAR NOT STARTING. ABOUT 3 WEEKS AFTER MY TRANSMISSION RECALL WAS "FIXED" MY ENGINE STARTING SMOKING UPON STARTING THE CAR AT LEAST 5 TIMES AND MY ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY REPLACED, THEY AGAIN REPORTED MY CAR WOULD NOT CRANK. MY CAR WAS IN THE SHOP FOR 27 DAYS, TWO DAYS AFTER PICKING MY CAR UP IT WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE DEALOR FOR THE CAR FEELING LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. IT'S BEEN ALMOST 2 WEIEKS WITH NO UPDATE. DODGE RESOLUTIONS HAS SENT AN INSPECTOR. INITIALLY THE CAR WAS PURCHASED WITH ABOUT 220 MILES ON IT, THE CAR IS ONLY AT 17,000 NOW.

AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN 15 OR 20 MINUTES, WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP THE VEHICLE SHIFTS ERRATICALLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JOLT AND OCCASIONALLY STALL. IT FEELS AS IF THE VEHICLE IS TRYING TO DOWNSHIFT BEFORE RETURNING TO THE APPROPRIATE GEAR. PROCEEDING FORWARD OR TURNING MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. I CONTACTED THE DEALER ABOUT THIS OVER A YEAR AGO AND WAS TOLD THE OIL NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AGAIN THIS WEEK AFTER SEEING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS POTENTIALLY PART OF A NATIONAL RECALL BUT WAS TOLD I COULD BRING THE VEHICLE IN TO SERVICE BUT IT WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL (THE MAKE, MODEL AND DATE OF MANUFACTURE MATCH THE RECALL DATA BUT SINCE THE VIN ISN'T SPECIFICALLY LISTED AS BEING RECALLED ON THE SAFECAR.GOV WEB SITE IT WAS NOT COVERED). THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUES UNTIL THIS DAY.

DRIVER'S SIDE REAR WHEEL BEARING SHOT AFTER 39,000 MILES. LOUD HUMMING NOISE WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT FIRST. I DROVE ON IT FOR A COUPLE WEEKS AND THE NOISE GOT LOUDER. I JACKED THE CAR UP ONE DAY AND THE WHEEL WIGGLED A PRETTY SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT. REPLACED BOTH REAR BEARINGS IN MY DRIVEWAY AFTER CALLING THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVING THEM TELL ME THE PARTS WERE NOT GOING TO BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

THE CLUTCH PEDAL WOULD STICK TO THE FLOOR IN COLD WEATHER. WOULD EASILY STALL BECAUSE OF POOR ENGAGEMENT.
