The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the failure was due to the powertrain control module. The contact stated that the key had seized in the ignition, and the vehicle was left overnight with the mechanic. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The towing company determined that the shifter cable had detached. The contact later became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train). The contact had no other means of transportation and was unaware of the recall when the vehicle was purchased. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by the local dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,239.

The dodge dealership had me to come in to reprogram my cars pcm(under Recall) because it was burning a quart of oil in less than 300 miles and getting extremely hot but now the engine has less oil burn as much as before but has less horsepower(tested by plugin meter) and has a ton of blowby that it blows oil out of drain plug there is no error codes or anything but the extended warranty test for a new engine isnt covered because they reprogrammed the pcm and to get a new engine under their extended warranty i would have to lose the amount of oil that i was previously before they touched the PCM they waited to show me the extended warranty after they reprogrammed it a year prior withholding that i could been eligible for new engine without catastrophic damage this car also has bcm 3 that has severe parasitic drain making the car unsafe all the way around on all 2015 models
The electrical has a parasitic drain and it puts so much strain on the car that it will shut down on highways and in idle surging and it has no error codes popping up at all it originally started happening July 12th 2016 but a lot of these 2015 dodge darts are having these issues and having shut downs in the middle of intersections-highways and so on that this needs to be urgently recalled I desperately need help with this i take care of my disabled mother by myself and this has been a issue with this car for a while and well documented at the dealership with no help or recourse

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated while the vehicle was being serviced at Jiffy Lube, the mechanic became aware that coolant was leaking from the engine onto the radiator. The vehicle was then taken to AAMCO where it was diagnosed that the valve cover gasket was leaking oil into the engine and onto the transmission. The mechanic also informed the contact that there was a cord hanging from the bottom of the vehicle but could not determine where the cord needed to be connected. The vehicle was not repaired. I have a warning light on my car for P1065 and P1061 codes. These two codes comes and go away on their own. It usually occurs after starting the car and driving it for a few minutes. This causes the car to shake and slow down suddenly in the middle of the road. The car stops to shake only when I shut it off and turn it back on right away. Another issue is that my car key get stuck in the ignition sometimes after shutting it ofand I have to wait a few seconds for the key to come off or press the button on the gearshift handle a few times to make it come out. I wonder if this is related to the Transmission Shift Cable Bushing safety recall repair that was done a few years ago on dodge dart vehicles Lastly, I have been getting the "parking light out" warning messages on my car dashboard but all the light appears to be working fine. I have looked up these issues online and they appear to be common problems faced by Dodge Dart owners.
The ECM/Throttle Positioning System has been faulting for a while and only getting worse causing the car to just randomly steal with no power. Usually can shut off and restart car and itll be good for 1 min - 30 min you never really know. I got stranded in the middle of the highway and couldn't start my car after it died while driving down the road.

I was driving the other day dropping off food for a customer and as I shifted my car from park to drive it wouldn’t change gears. Now let me remind u I’m stuck in the middle of these strangers driveway as they’re trying to leave their home and I cannot switch into reverse so I had to keep my foot on that break pedal the entire time. Thank god they were very understanding ( because who knows what could’ve happened) and said they were leaving for something that wasn’t very important and would go another day. Come to find out it was my CABLE SHIFTER WHICH I HAD ALREADY HAD REAPIRED PREVIOUSLY AS A RECALL. I haven’t even been able to drive the car because it will not shift into any gear. It’s currently just sitting across the street in my apartment complex as I have no way to work or anywhere for that matter. I called the same dealership (I took it to the first time I had the recall done)as soon as the incident happend to see if I could just get it repaired AGAIN (which I shouldn’t have to) and they told me that there was no way I was gonna be able to drop my car off at the dealership because they were extremely backed up so it would take 4 WEEKS before they could have anyone even look at the car. I described what it was doing over the phone to him and he said it most definitely was the cable shifter. And not only that but he also told me that even with it sitting here or there they don’t even have the part to fix the vehicle at the moment.This isn’t even the least of issues with this vehicle that I haven’t even owned for 2 years.There were never any warning lights or anything that popped up on the dashboard.

Car runs great when I bought it used then had check engine light come on for a P0420 trouble code and it has something to do with the converter on the car well now I see that there is a recall for this about the converter #u90 is there any way my car is having this problem due to the reclaa but when I put my vin in it says it doesn't have a recall but when u read online it says recalls are for 2014-2016 dodge darts but my vin is showing no recalls??
Sometimes I can smell like a gas or oil smell in the cabin of the car only happens when I take sharp turn or a bump in the road and sometimes by itself can't be good having this smell in the cabin and people breathing it.

The car stalls completely at random speeds and consumes a huge amount of oil. This stalling is extremely dangerous as it happens at even highway speeds. This is not a unique problem as I have read hundreds of accounts of the exact same thing happening on the exact same vehicle type.
Unknown , I was driving down the road at 50 mph and my battery light came on then I lost my a/c my lights started flickering and I then lost power steering and brakes I had to use my emergency brake to slow down then all of my check engine and brake failure lights were flickering and my fuse box on top of my battery caught fire and was smoking and my car then shut off I could have crashed and or been hit and killed
The engine consumes a lot of oil and there is no warning light to inform you of this occurring. This can cause a fatality if the engine seizes, due to this consumption, on a highway.
My Dodge Dart with 2.4L engine was recalled for excessive oil consumption. On 09/09/2021 the vehicle was brought in for service and I was told the PCM was to be reprogrammed and that would fix the excessive oil consumption issue. I am now 3,000 miles after the PCM repair and I am still burning a quart of oil. I called the dealer, O'Daniel Automotive Group in Fort Wayne Indiana, on 01/28/2022 to speak with a service rep and was told they weren't available and I would get a return call. Today is 02/05/2022 and no one has returned the call.
I had to replace my engine, my transmission is slipping and not shifting gears properly. It has been doing it for almost 2 years now. The suspensions are horrible
My number 3 cylinder is the only problem. This had been the the third time I've had this problem in the last three years.
When the oil life in this vehicle gets low the vehicle randomly stalls. This week my vehicle stalled in the middle of an intersection putting me at risk of bodily harm. I had to have my car towed to the dealership because it would not start. After speaking with the service person at the dealership they said that this is a "safety feature" to protect the engine. This is not the first time this has happened, but it is the first time my vehicle wouldn't start at all.

THE CAR WAS STARTED THAT MORNING AND IDLED APPROXIMATELY 2-3 MINUTES, IT DROVE ABOUT 60 FEET AND STALLED, POWER STEERING AND BRAKES WHERE LOST. THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH BOARD. WHEN TRYING TO RESTART IT STRUGGLED, BUT EVENTUALLY TURNED OVER. IT THEN DROVE FINE . ONCE AT HOME I RESEARCH THE ISSUE AND FOUND MULTIPLE REPORTS LIKE MINE OF ENGINES STALLING DUE TO EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION.

NOW TODAY IT APPEARS I'LL HAVE TO REPLACE THE BACK TWO A THIRD TIME. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! I'VE BEEN WONDERING IF THEY JUST DIDN'T LET ME KNOW THAT THE TIRES THEY WERE PUTTING ON WERE BAD TIRES, POSSIBLY RECALL TIRES. CAR SLOWS DOWN BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON STEERING LOCKS UP CAR G=HAS 11000 MILES TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP AND OF COURSE COULDNT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH CAR

I PURCHASED THE CAR THE LAST WEEK OF FEBRUARY. I BEGAN HAVING CAR PROBLEMS IN MID MARCH. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS SCHEDULED TO COME IN FOR SERVICE. WAS TOLD THE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. GOT CAR BACK AND IT STOPPED ON ME TWICE AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. IN MAY I WAS GIVEN A LOANER CAR AND WAS TOLD MY OIL CONSUMPTION WAS BAD. RECEIVED CAR BACK IN JUNE AND CAR WAS REPOSED FOR NONPAYMENT. I GOT CAR OUT AND IT STOPPED AGAIN. IN JULY THE DEALERSHIP THEN GAVE ANOTHER LOANER AND TOLD ME MY CAR WILL BE A CHRYSLER BUYBACK. FROM JULY TO SEPTEMBER NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM CHRYSLER TILL SEPT 24 ADVISING ME TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP TO CHOOSE ANOTHER VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP DID NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT SO WE CONTACTED CHRYSLER TO GET A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. WAS TOLD TO CHOOSE A CAR AND THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE REGISTRATION AND THE PAPER WORK. DROVE THE 2015 JEEP RENEGADE FOR ALMOST A MONTH AND I CHECKED IN WITH THE DEALERSHIP ONCE A WEEK TO FIND OUT IF THE PAPERWORK WAS COMPLETE. FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP TO BRING BACK THE JEEP AND MY 2015 DART WAS REPAIRED. I WAS TOLD TO REGISTER THE DODGE DART AND THEN I COULD GET THE JEEP BACK.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE REQUIRED AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO OVERHEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COOLING FAN FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.

AFTER NUMEROUS TIMES THE CAR HAS STALLED IN TRAFFIC, DODGE PLACED VEHICLE ON AN OIL CONSUMPTION STUDY, THE CAR FAILED THE STUDY AND A NEW ENGINE WAS PLACED IN THE CAR. THE CAR WENT BACK TO THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY DUE TO METAL TO METAL GRINDING IN STEERING AT THE SLIGHTEST HINT OF A TURN OR CURVE

WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES, I NOTICED THE TACH WAS APPROACHING REDLINE AND DISCOVERED THE CAR HAD GONE INTO NEUTRAL BUT SHIFT LEVER WAS IN DRIVE. I PULL ONTO THE SHOULDER AND AFTER STOPPING, PLACED SHIFT LEVER INTO PARK. REVVED THE ENGINE A COUPLE OF TIMES AND TRANSMISSION WENT INTO GEAR WITH NO OTHER PROBLEMS. THIS HAS OCCURRED ONLY ONCE. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THIS VEHICLE IS BEING RECALLED BY CHRYSLER FOR A SIMILAR ISSUE. I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY CHRYSLER AS OF YET.

DRIVING AT APPROX. 20 MPH, GETTING READY TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN INTO A PARKING LOT, BATTERY LIGHT ILLUMINATED, INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT BLACK, TOTAL LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER AND STEERING. COASTED INTO A PARKING SPACE AND RETURNED TO CAR IN ABOUT 20 MINUTES. CAR STARTED AND ACTED NORMAL. NEXT INCIDENT WAS ABOUT 35 MILES LATER DRIVING ABOUT 35 MPH IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA. SAME SENARIO, BATTERY LIGHT ILLUMINATED BLACK PANEL AND LOSS OF STEERING. TOOK 10 MINUTES FOR CAR TO REGAIN POWER AND START. THIRD EPISODE AT ABOUT 45 MPH, BATTERY LIGHT FLASHED, I SHOVED SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL, PANEL REMAINED LIT, BUT NO RPM SO ENGINE HAD QUIT. I PUSHED START BUTTON, ENGINE RESTARTED AND I PUT SHIFT LEVER INTO DRIVE. TOOK TO DEALER BUT NO CODES. THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS BUT ISSUE CANNOT BE DUPLICATED AT THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT IS INTERMITTENT. I AM TRYING TO GET CHRYSLER TO REPURCHASE THIS DEATH TRAP.

WHILE DRIVING IN THE MORNING IN A NEIGHBORHOOD SPEED LIMIT OF 30, I DECREASE SPEED TO COME TO A FULL STOP AND SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF ENGINE POWER AND POWER STEERING AT APPROXIMATELY 10MPH. VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO START UNTIL THE 3RD ATTEMPT. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE UNTIL THE VEHICLE STALLED THE 2ND TIME. THEY UPDATED PCM/TCM, BUT STILL HAD STALLING ISSUES. THIS VEHICLE HAD STALLED OVER 5 TIMES AND THE DEALER WERE NOT ABLE TO PIN POINT THE ISSUE. MY VEHICLE IS NOW AT APPROXIMATELY 15,400 MILES. I FEEL LIKE I'M ON THE EDGE AND UNSAFE EVERY TIME I GET BEHIND THE WHEEL. ALSO HAD TROUBLE WITH THE AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS NOT TURNING ON AND AS WELL AS THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOWS NOT CLOSING.

AS I WAS DRIVING, I SLOWED AND BRAKED FOR OTHER VEHICLES AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. AS I STARTED TO RE-ACCELORATE, I REALIZED THE CAR HAD STALLED. WHEN I GOT THE CAR RE-STARTED, IT WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH AND THE CHECK ENGINE, THE TRACTION CONTROL AND THE CRUISE CONTROL LIGHTS WERE ALL LIT AND/OR FLASHING. AFTER I GOT HOME, I DECIDED TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER. THIS TIME, THE CAR DROVE FAIRLY NORMALLY WITH ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN ONLY 3600 MILES. (THE FIRST TIME WAS AT APPROX. 280 MILES AND THE SECOND TIME WAS AT ABOUT 500 MILES.) THE DEALER'S SERVICE WRITER IMPLIED SINCE THIS CAR HAS AN ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL, IT WAS MY DRIVING STYLE AT FAULT. I HAVE DRIVEN SEVERAL OTHER CARS WITH ELECTRONIC THROTTLES FOR SEVERAL YEARS (MY PREVIOUS CAR HAD 120,000 MILES ON IT) AND THIS IS THE ONLY TIME ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAS HAPPENED.
