Hello my car has so many safety and risks the engine electric and transmission very dangerous please help
I just had the bushing cable fixed for the open recall issue. It is giving me a somewhat similar issue. I can shift to park, neutral, and reverse, but not drive. Cannot shift manually to drive either.

I am having an intermittent, no communication with TCM, Active stabiliy control light comes on, the vehicle feels like it pops into neutral jarring the vehicle and once this happens i have code U0101 in PCM,ABS, ESM, BCM,IPC,RFH along with a U11C2 code in the PCM. also sometimes when this happens if i turn the vehicle off it won’t start again. I have not brought it to the dealership as i can’t afford it, but 2013-2015 dodge dart has a recall for the tcm because of the tcm bracket, causing almost ever issue my vehicle has. And i was told it is engine specific but the 1.4,2.0, and 2.4 all came with the same TCM and bracket. I aquired this vehicle 2 months ago and i have had the issue intermittently since i got it. i am a mechanic over 10 years and i have replaced the alternator due to the vehicle not starting after being parked. that seemed to fix the issue but several days later it happened again. then i had no issue with a no start again until today. I replaced all the star connectors due to having communication codes in so many modules. and oddly enough i had no issues for several days, then the ASC light came on and the vehicle jarred again but it only had a U0101 code in the ABS module and sometimes the PCM but no other modules and also the problem was not happening daily like before i would go several days without a issue i would clear the codes and had no issue the rest of the day. until today i just started the vehicle and while parked the light came on and i scanned it and it had codes in 6 modules again and it is now doing it back to back and i turn the engine off to clear the codes and they won’t clear and also the vehicle won’t start but if i cycle the key and open the door several times it allow the codes to eventually clear and the vehicle to start but shortly after the light comes back on and i have the same issue again. and it seems to happen mainly when i have a passenger.because the tcm is on the passenger floor board.

The contact owns a 2015 Dart Dart. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the vehicle would not properly accelerate and a rattling noise was present coming from under the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the catalytic converter was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Also, after parking the ignition key could not be immediately removed from the ignition switch do to a faulty shift cable. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failures but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 140,000.

After purchasing the car used, the car got stuck in reverse and would not start or shift into/out of gear or park. The dealership determined that it was "shifter cable bushing broken out of cable eyelet" which we saw was on a recall list for these vehicles. Upon further investigation, we discovered that the recall work HAD been done while with a previous owner. However it appears that even the recall work has failed. The necessary part to fix the issue is on back order and more than one shop has confirmed that they are unable to get the part to make the repair. I spoke with a representative from Chrysler and they said that since the VIN doesn't pull up a recall, they won't help us with this issue. The car, which was purchased 6 days prior to the incident, now sits at the dealership and if it ever gets fixed will cost over $700 for repairs. Since it seems to be a failure of recall work, I'm hoping an investigation can be opened and that we and other owners could get some help with this.
Driving down the highway, I pushed on the gas pedal and my engine began to rev. I looked at the dashboard, and the dashboard showed I was in park. I looked down at my shifter, and the shifter was positioned in drive but the light on the column was showing I was in park. I was able to get pulled over and stopped. I moved the shifter into park and back into drive. Transmission remainder in park. I turned the car off and repeated the steps. The transmission remained in park. After the 4th attempt, I left the car off for more than a minute. The transmission finally shifted into drive. Less than an hour later, I was turning through a busy intersection, and the engine began to rev again. This time, the transmission did not show it was I park and the gear shifter was in the drive position. Due to not having enough moment to continue further, I wound up stopping in front of a car that was attempting to make a right hand turn onto the highway. This time, after putting the car in park and moving the shifter back into drive, the car engaged and I was able to move out of the way of the car that was trying to turn onto the highway. My safety was put at risk as momentum was the only thing that got me through the remaining part of the busy intersection. Going down the road or making a turn in a busy intersection and potentially being stuck in the middle of either is asking for a wreck to happen. At this point, I had only had the car for a week in which I bought it from the dealership and it still had under 100,000 miles. There were no warning messages/lights and no other indication of something was wrong. Both incidents occurred on March 8, 2024 between 3 and 4pm eastern time. The dealership stated the vehicle had been inspected prior to purchase and after stopping by the dodge dealership (owned by same person, different dealership), the service department stated spark plugs had been replaced as well as a cv valve back on 2/24.
My car kept dying on me randomly flashing a light on my dash of a lightning bolt in between two curved lines. I researched it and it was saying that my throttle positioner was going out.

My Dodge Dart with 2.4L engine was recalled for excessive oil consumption. On 09/09/2021 the vehicle was brought in for service and I was told the PCM was to be reprogrammed and that would fix the excessive oil consumption issue. I am now 3,000 miles after the PCM repair and I am still burning a quart of oil. I called the dealer, O'Daniel Automotive Group in Fort Wayne Indiana, on 01/28/2022 to speak with a service rep and was told they weren't available and I would get a return call. Today is 02/05/2022 and no one has returned the call.

When I first got this car three years ago I had a shift problem in the transmission it got stuck in the gear and I couldn't pull the key out when I did some research I realize that there was a recall so of course I went to the dealership and have them take a look at it to fix it they said that I will still be charge in the problem wasn't even originally fixed they rigged it they just made it to where I could pull off but I was still charged and now a couple years later I am having transmission problems again and the dealership is saying that I need a transmission as I am doing a research I realize that my transmission again has a recall on it.

TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP REPAIR A SAFETY RECALL WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE MONTHS BEFORE THEY WOULD HAVE THE PART AND THEY HAD NO LOANERS FOR ME THEY SAID ITS AGAISNT POLICY TO LOAN A VEHICLE AND NOW THEY HAVE ME DRIVING IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE TO ME THIS JUST FEELS LIKE A WAY PUSH NEW VEHICLES. MY VEHICLE IS A SAFETY CONCERN I CANT JUST AFFORD GET ANOTHER VEHICLE OR RENT ONE AND HOPE FOR REIMBURSMENT

ADDED TWO QUARTS AND IT APPEARS TO BE FUNCTIONING NORMALLY. I BELIEVE THE ISSUE TO BE EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. WITH THE LACK OF WARNING LIGHT, AND JUST UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE, I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. HAPPENED ON A BUSY CITY STREET AS WELL AS ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN TRYING TO MERGE INTO THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL, AS THE SECOND OWNER I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED AND THE TIME OF THE WARRANTY EXPIRED ALTHOUGH I AM STILL UNDER THE MILEAGE BUT THEY REFUSE TO HELP ME. THERE HAS BEEN A CLASS ACTION LOSS SUIT RELATED TO THIS EXACT ISSUE ON 2013-2015 DODGE DARTS BUT MY DEALERSHIP APPEARS BLISSFULLY UNAWARE OF THE ISSUE. START CASE# S1406000001 APPEARS TO DIRECTLY CALL OUT THIS ISSUE BUT NONE OF THE PROCEDURES WERE FOLLOWED WHEN INSPECTING MY CAR FOR CLUTCH RELATED ISSUES. THE TECHNICAL RESPONSE WAS "MAYBE YOUR MAT WAS CAUGHT BY THE CLUTCH PEDAL?" SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP I WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT INTO FIRST AND THE PEDAL WAS NOT RAISING. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTURER X62 EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THE CLUTCH BEARING WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE X62 WARRANTY EXTENSION. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME EVERY TIME I GET INTO IT AND NOW I DON'T FEEL SAFE. I TOOK IT TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS WHICH BOTH OF THEM STATED THIS WAS A DODGE ISSUE; WHERE THERE IS OPEN LAWSUITS AND LEMON LAW ACTS IN PROGRESS FOR THIS SAME ISSUE. THE 2016 RECALL FOR 2016 DODGE DARTS EXPLAINS EVERY PROBLEM I'M HAVING AND EVEN SAYS THE PARTS THAT HAVE GONE BAD WILL GO BAD. IT ALSO STATES THAT THE PROBLEM MAY AFFECT MANUAL TRANSMISSION 2015 DARTS. THE OTHER ISSUE BEING THE SHIFTER CABLE OF THE CAR, I HAVE USED MY SHIFTER AND THE CAR DOES NOT ACTUALLY SHIFT IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY. MY BREAKS, HOWEVER, DID WORK SO I USED THEM. I TRIED SHIFTING INTO DRIVE AGAIN THEN TO TRY TO MOVE IT INTO PARK AGAIN BUT THE LIGHT ON THE DASH SHOWED STILL IN PARK, EVEN THOUGH THE SHIFTER WAS IN DRIVE. I HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP IT FROM ROLLING AWAY. THE NEXT DAY, I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP (COURTESY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE IN TAMPA, FL) BUT THEY SAID IT WAS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND THAT IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE REPAIRED, I HAD TO PURCHASE THE GEAR SHIFT CABLE AND IT WOULD COST ME OVER $500 TO REPLACE IT. I WAS FURIOUS AS THIS IS WAY OUTSIDE OF MY BUDGET. I WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE A TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE BUSHING REPAIR KIT FOR $35 OFF OF AMAZON. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE ABLE TO REPLACE THE BUSHING AND IT WORKS FINE (FOR NOW) BUT MY CONCERN IS WONDERING, WITH THIS RECALL, IF SOMETHING IS CAUSING THE BUSHING TO WEAR DOWN AND BREAK, CAUSING THESE ISSUES OR POTENTIALLY CAUSING A VEHICLE CRASH. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED IN AUGUST 2017, THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED AT NO COST TO US. IT JUST HAPPENED AGAIN ON APRIL 28, 2018, SAME SCENARIO - DRIVING ON FREEWAY, TRIED TO SHIFT - AND WE ARE TOLD THE CLUTCH KIT AND THROW OUT BEARING NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND DODGE IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR IT, SAYING IT IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR AND NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. AND BECAUSE IT IS DIFFERENT PARTS IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OF WORK IN AUGUST 2017. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS OF SIMILAR ISSUES AND EVEN A COUPLE OF LAWSUITS. EVEN IF REPAIRED AGAIN, I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING THIS CAR OUTSIDE OF CITY STREETS. DODGE REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE NOR DO THEY SAY THAT MY CAR IS COVERED UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE HYDRAULIC CLUTCH THAT THEY ISSUED IN 2016.
