WHILE ACCELERATING, HEARD A "SNAP" UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT. THIS POWER SEAT NOW HAS A ROCKING MOTION WHEN ACCELERATING OR SLOWING DOWN. CHECKED THE INTERNET AND FOUND COUNTLESS NUMBER OF BLOGS AND COMMENTS ON THIS EXACT PROBLEM, WITH SOME SAYING THEIR SEAT IS ACTUALLY SLIDING BACK AND FORTH ON THE SEAT RAILS. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, WARRANTING SOME RECALL OR REMEDY BY CHRYSLER. WHEN I DROVE IT OFF THE DEALER'S LOT I NOTICED THE DRIVERS POWER SEAT TRAVELS AT LEAST AN INCH BACK AND FORTH WHEN ACCELERATING OR DECELERATING. THE DEALER SAYS THIS IS NORMAL FOR THIS MODEL. THIS ROCKING MOTION RESULTS IN THE LIFTING OF THE DRIVER'S FOOT FROM THE BRAKE OR GAS PEDAL, AND A POSSIBLE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. THE LUMBAR SUPPORT LEVER WAS ACTIVATED BY MY HUSBAND AND WHEN ACTIVATED, IT STICKS OUT BEYOND THE DRIVER'S SEAT ABOUT 1/2 INCH. WHEN I GOT INTO THE VEHICLE, MY LOWER BACK HIT THE LEVER RESULTING IN TWO BULGED DISCS AND A TEAR IN THE L4-S1 REGION ON THE RIGHT SIDE. THE SEVERITY OF THE INJURY HAS RESULTED IN APPROXIMATELY $10,000 OF MEDICAL BILLS.
