There have been several times where I am stopped at a light or stop sign and the car stalls. It happens when I try to start going from the stop, not while I'm stopped. I believe this an issue that has been recalled already, but obviously, it did not fix the problem. My vehicle will also not turn over sometimes. It just continually try to turn over multiple times and I have to wait for it to stop on its own before I can try again.

My vehicle has had recalls performed multiple times since 1st purchased in 2012. The issue was vehicle stalling. At 1st Chrysler / Dodge addressed it as issues upon start up where the vehicle sounded as though it was skipping when hitting the ignition button. They attempted to remedy this with multiple fuel pump relay recalls. They attempted to do internal which did not work. They then went external which also did not work. Nothing was ever formerly recognized as a suitable resolution, so any of us dealing with this were just forgotten. Well I still have this vehicle and it has gotten worse to the point the vehicle will randomly stall while in motion as it did the other day and on multiple other occasions. Under braking conditions the vehicle stalls where everything on the dash appears normal electronically, there is just no power and the steering locks up. I have addressed this multiple times with Dodge customer service as well as my local dealership. The dealership does not want to attempt any repairs because they want to be paid and the manufacturer is not entertaining it. I am aware the vehicle is out of warranty but I am not paying for something the manufacturer has known about since first purchased. There has been no further actions by the manufacturer to address this. They have moved on to newer existing Durango models.

The 2014 through 2018 3.6L Pentastar motors are covered under a tech service bulletin for their Drivers side valve train being manufactured incorrectly. This can lead to a misfire and hesitation to accelerate in an Emergency. This happened to me recently and I thought it was just a bad spark plug. Mechanic did a full check and believes there is a stuck valve in the engine on the exact same side that the 2014 to 2018 motors are prone to failure. I believe the 2012 and 2013 Engines are also prone to the same failures as their newer counter parts. As I was trying to accelerate to avoid an incident my car stuttered and started to misfire badly. Almost causing a collision. This happened without warning and never previously had this issue. Vehicle was completely mechanically sound before this. This can happen without any warning or signs its going to happen. And after bringing the vehicle to a mechanic and doing much of my own research it appears that the drivers side of the 3.6L v6 in my vehicle is currently under a TSB for the #2,4,6 cylinder head. This can cause the vehicle to have no power for a moment which if I were merging onto the highway and lacked powered could result in a rear end collision. Believe this is a safety issue as well as mechanical issue.

I Came into dealership for scheduled service appointment on Apr 5, 2023 10:30:00 AM at EDWARDS CDJR OF OMAHA to get recall fixed on fuel pump relay and an oil change after receiving my 2012 Dodge Durango Citadel back my lights randomly starting blanking and my vehicle stalled and it wouldn’t start or turn over. So I spoke to service rep [XXX] at EDWARDS CDJR OF OMAHA 17950 Burt St and had the car towed back to the dealership that fixed on it EDWARDS CDJR OF OMAHA. I was originally told they didn’t have a loaner to lend to me so I can continue being a caregiver to my mother and transport her and my 7 children around until 04/21/2023 and that someone would call me that day to pickup a loaner vehicle. I called on 04/21/2023 about the loaner and they said someone would call me by midday to pick up a loaner. Now it’s Monday 04/24/2023 and I get a text stating 10 things are wrong with my vehicle in this link https://c.xtime.com/vkepCy2nkAoA2L4fXX including the PCM, which was more items then what was originally stated when they had inspected my vehicle on 04/05/2023 during the recall fix. So I informed them that, “ I will not pay for the pcm to be fixed because this issue is a result of whoever was the mechanic that was originally supposed to fix the recall fuel pump relay, so your shop has to fix it due to negligence on your mechanic's fault. I don't want to have to take anyone to court or give this issues to an attorney, this was sent to better business bureau because I have been left without transportation and facing economic hardship due to this situation.” Then they had their Service Manager [XXX] reach out to me over the phone, and he said that he spoke to three on-site master mechanic at the dealership and they all said the PCM had nothing to do with the fuel pump relay recall. I asked about escalating the issue and submitting an incident report to an higher up authority, he said he can’t. I asked again about the loaner he said there’s no loaner available. Vehicle has been recalled 2 separate times for fuel pump wiring harness which causes no start and possible stall. Vehicle is still having no start issues after being serviced for recall.

My 2012 Dodge Durango has been experiencing reaccering issues associated with the tipm and fuel pump relay. The truck will stall, hard crank or simply not crank at all; leaving me stranded sometimes. This electrical issue also affects the fog lights, front lights, brake lights and turn signals; causing them to not work; putting me in danger of a collision on the highway or city street. This tipm and fuel pump relay have been under several recalls over the past 8 years and Dodge actually lost a class action lawsuit in 2015 in reference to this issue. They were ordered to replace these parts free of charge; labeling the parts defective. Now I am experiencing issues where the car won’t start for 20 minutes after I turn it off. The signal lights won't work correctly; and the foglights are totally inoperative. I’ve taken it back to the dealer for a diagnostic and also called the corporate office but no one wants to take accountability and acknowledge what the issue is. I have attempted to contact the lawyer who started the class action lawsuit to consult about this matter but he says he can't sue them again. I’m looking to see if I have any legal recourse or what my best course of action could be in order to hold Dodge accountable for replacing my tipm and fixing this defective part for good. Thanks! I had just picked my car up from getting brakes and an inspection (obviously passed). I was driving home and there was smoke from under the hood with an electrical fire smell. My dash went crazy then I completly lost power. I had no stearing or brakes- couldn't even put on my hazards or roll down the window down to tell cars behind me to pass me. I immediatly called the garage that had just done the work to get it towed. They called today and told me that the alternator blew up and fried the battery and possible the computer (tip module??) I looked up recalls and noticed that there has been problems with this happening but my VIN didn't come up for this. I just wanted to check into the recall before I spent thousands of dollars.

Had the recall for shutting down repair again and still having the same problem. I've spent over $2000 In diagnosed fees with dealership and private shops and still having the same problem. Yes the fuel pump relay was replaced 2 times. Still having the same problem it will start back up but locks the steering wheel to where you can't turn it. Which almost was in a accident but was able to stop before. It's happens every month but was told not to bring it back to the dealership as they cant find the problem as all recalls were repaired.

I am trying to submit a report that a Dealer is not providing me service for a recall but there isn't a link to do so, only a missive telling me that i should. I am being told by the dealer that the parts to fix the Fuel pump relay problem on the 2012 Dodge Durango are in a National shortage at the moment but they will not provide me with documentation that proves this so i am unable to ship my vehicle home.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A VEHICLE MARCH 2, 2021. I NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE HAS 3 RECALLS. THE DEALER THAT I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM DIDN'T HAVE ANY IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY TO FIX THE VEHICLE. SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DODGE DEALERSHIP. MY CAR WAS AT FACILITY 2 DAYS. ONCE I PICKED UP VEHICLE THEY INFORMED ME THEY COULDN'T FIX TWO OF THE RECALLS. JASON ( SERVICE GUY) INFORMED ME THAT HE WOULD UPDATE ME. WELL A MONTH LATTER HE TELLS ME THAT THE PARTS AREN'T THERE YET . CHRYSLER HASN'T RELEASED THE PARTS YET.

DODGE HAS ISSUES A RECALL TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. IN THE RECALL LETTER IS STATES "A VEHICLE ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING CAN CAUSE A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING". I'VE CALLED THE DEALER AND TOLD THE RECALL PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER AND WOULD ARRIVE IN 2-3 WKS. I CALLED, THE PARTS ARE RESTRICTED MEANING THEY ARE ONLY SHIPPING 1 PART PER DEALER PER WEEK AND TALKING TO THE PARTS MANAGER MY CAR WILL NOT RECEIVE IT'S RECALL PARTS FOR MONTHS OUT. MY CAR IS UNRELIABLE AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN WINTER CONDITIONS IN CHICAGO. THIS IS COMPLETELY ABSURD. DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDED ABSOLUTELY NO REMEDIES AFTER TALKING WITH A CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER.

FUEL PUMP RELAY NHTSA V62, 19V-813 WHILE PRESSING THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION SWITCH TO START MY VEHICLE, MY VEHICLE WENT INTO A NO-START CONDITION WHERE THE VEHICLE CRANKED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE STALLING OUT COMPLETELY. AFTER PRESSING THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION AND OPENING-UP MY DRIVER'S DOOR TO RESET THE VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO PRESS THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION SWITCH AGAIN AND START MY VEHICLE. THIS IS CONCERNING BECAUSE I HAVE HAD THE LATEST V62 RECALL REPAIR DONE CORNING THIS MATTER.

THE VEHICLE HAS HAD AN OPEN RECALL FOR OVER A YEAR ABOUT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. MY VEHICLE HAS STOPPED RUNNING A FEW TIMES WHILE BEING DRIVEN ON THE FREEWAY. AT FIRST, IT WAS ABLE TO RESTART AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THEN, THE VEHICLE DID NOT START AT ALL. DODGE SAYS THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER RECALL REPAIR PART MADE YET AND WOULD STILL REPLACE IT WITH THE CURRENT PART THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED. I DID NEED TO HAVE THAT DONE TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE. AFTER 2 MONTHS OF DRIVING AN 80 MILE DAILY ROUND TRIP TO WORK AND HOME, IT HAS STOPPED RUNNING AGAIN. I HAVE CALLED DODGE AND TRIED TO GET THE VEHICLE TOWED AND FIXED PROPERLY BUT THEY ACT LIKE IT IS NOT THEIR COMPLETE CONCERN. THEY ARE CURRENTLY NOT PROVIDING TOWING OR A RENTAL. THIS IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A MANUFACTURER TO POST A RECALL AND THEN NOT GET IT PROPERLY FIXED IN OVER A YEAR TIME FRAME.

A WEEK LATER THE VEHICLE STALLED OUT GOING DOWN HILL, TWICE IN ONE DAY. THE VEHICLE WILL HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP ONCE THE OFFICIAL PARTS COME IN, ( EVERYTHING IS DELAYED DUE TO COVID).

I PURCHASED MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO, USED, WITH APPROXIMATELY 75K MILES. SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I'VE EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS THAT BEGAN WITH THE TRANSMISSION. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR GOES INTO "LOW GEAR" EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T TURN THE KNOB. OVER THE PAST YEAR, THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT FOR THE DOORS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING ON THEIR OWN. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO LOCK THE DOORS WHEN IN PUBLIC. MY KEY FOB HASN'T WORKED EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY INSIDE. THE CAR HAS SET THE ALARM OFF EVEN WHEN UNPROMPTED. IT WILL LOCK/UNLOCK WHILE DRIVING.THE CAR HAS STALLED, WHILE DRIVING, AT LEAST 3 TIMES SINCE NOVEMBER 2019. FOR EACH OCCURRENCE, THE VEHICLE WAS SLOWING/EXCELLING WITH A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR TO TURN INTO A PARKING LOT. ON ONE OCCASION, THE CAR WOULD NOT CRANK OVER AND A RED LIGHT WAS BLINKING ON THE DASH. THE LOCK ISSUE BEGAN HAPPENING AGAIN AND I COULD NOT GET IT STARTED. IT HAD BEEN STATIONARY. WHEN I CAME BACK TO THE VEHICLE LATER, IT WORKED FINE WITH NO RED LIGHT. THE MECHANICS NOTICED THE TEMPERAMENTAL PROBLEMS BUT COULD NOT GET THE VEHICLE TO CONSISTENTLY REPEAT THE PROBLEM. I'VE ALSO REPLACED THE WATER PUMP AND HAD ISSUES WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING. AT THIS MOMENT, IT DOESN'T WANT TO WORK FOR THE DRIVER'S SPOT ONLY.

RECALL 19V-813 IS FOR SAFETY AND HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED SINCE THE ENGINE BEGAN STOPPING IN 2013 NOR SINCE THE FIRST RECALL OR SINCE THE SECOND RECALL IN NOVEMBER 2019. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I HAVE HAD THE CAR STOP WHILE DRIVING AND NOT RESTART. SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT START IN THE GARAGE. VEHICLE HAS STALLED MULTIPLE TIMES. EITHER RIGHT AFTER START UP OR WHILE DRIVING. IN ALL CASES I HAVE FOUND THAT THE 20 AMP FUSE THAT WAS INSTALLED FOR RECALL R09 FROM 2015 IS MELTING AND CAUSING THE FUEL PUMP RELAY TO FAIL WHICH IS CAUSING THE STALL CONDITION. THE FUSE IS EASILY REPLACED BUT THE STALLING IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE FREQUENT, HAPPENING AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. DODGE SAYS THERE IS NO REMEDY FOR THIS AND THERE ARE NO PARTS TO JUST REPLACE THE CURRENT SET UP. SO NOW I AM STUCK WITH THIS ISSUE UNTIL DODGE FIGURES OUT WHAT IS WRONG. EACH INSTANCE OF STALLING HAS OCCURED AT 25 MPH OR LESS BUT ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE IT HAPPENS AT A HIGHER SPEED.

MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO HAS LOST ALL POWER WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT. TODAY IS THE 4TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN ABOUT 2 MONTHS. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AND WITHOUT ANY WARNING THE CAR STOPS RUNNING AND ALL ELECTRICAL IS GONE, MY DASH IS BLANK. I WAS ALMOST IN AN ACCIDENT TODAY. I PULLED OUT ON A BUSY STREET AND LOST ALL POWER. I WAS ABLE TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE TURN LANE AND PUT IT IN NEUTRAL. IT IS VERY SCARY EACH TIME IT HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING!!! THIS ISSUE MUST BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED. 3 YEARS AFTER HAVING MY FUEL PUMP RELAY RECALL PERFORMED ON MY 2012 DURANGO CREW THE SAME EXACT SYMPTOMS ARE HAPPENING. ENGINE STALLED AND CAR SHUT OFF. ONCE FROM A STOP WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND ANOTHER TIME WHILE TRYING TO STOP. IN BOTH INSTANCES AN ACCIDENT WAS NEARLY AVOIDED. MY WIFE ON 9/13 WAS TURNING ACROSS TRAFFIC AND THE CAR DIED AND SHE WAS ALMOST T-BONED. ON 9/14 I ALMOST REAR ENDED A CAR AS I WAS SLOWING TO A STOP AND LOST ALL POWER. WIPERS WILL COME ON RANDOMLY ON DRY, SUNNY DAYS (WHILE PARKED OR IN MOTION). CAR JERKS FORWARD INTERMITTENTLY WHEN STARTING (USING REMOTE START OR WHILE IN THE CAR). OCCASIONALLY THE CAR CONTINUES TO TURN OVER BUT NEVER ACTUALLY STARTS. I HAVE TAKEN THIS TO THE DEALER 7-8 TIMES AND THEY'VE NEVER HEARD OF THESE PROBLEMS. NO ERROR CODES RECORDED. NEVER ABLE TO BE REPRODUCED WHEN AT THE DEALER. CONTACTED ANOTHER DODGE DEALER AND THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THESE ISSUES EITHER. TOOK TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND HE IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THIS AS A POTENTIAL TIPM ISSUE. THE FUEL RELAY RECALL WAS IMPLEMENTED IN SUMMER OF 2015 WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO RESOLVE THESE ISSUE. HOWEVER, ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS CONTINUE TO INTERMITTENTLY OCCUR - WITH THE STALLING (AND NEAR ACCIDENTS) JUST OCCURRING FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS PAST WEEK. SPOKE WITH DODGE YESTERDAY EXPLAINING THE SITUATION AND BOTH DEALERS DIDN'T WANT TO SELL ME A NEW TIPM BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T SURE IT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM AND REITERATED THAT THE FUEL RELAY RECALL WOULD FIX THESE ISSUES. WHEN I STATED THAT I AM STILL HAVING THE ISSUES THEY DIDN'T HAVE AN ANSWER BUT WERE WILLING TO TAKE MY CAR IN ON TRADE. WE CURRENTLY HAVE 93000 MILES BUT THIS STARTED SHORTLY AFTER WE PURCHASED THE DURANGO; WITH WELL UNDER 40000 MILES. WE WERE STILL UNDER WARRANTY WHEN THIS STARTED BUT NO FAULT WAS EVER FOUND WHEN AT THE DEALER.

DEALER AGAIN "CAN'T DUPLICATE PROBLEM" AND HAS DENIED KNOWING ABOUT ONGOING LAWSUIT ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND HAS ACTUALLY LIED TO US ABOUT WARRANTY INFORMATION NUMEROUS TIMES. ALSO HAVE VIDEO OF PROBLEM ON CELL PHONE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN PARK AND IN DRIVE/REVERSE AS WE WERE JUST STARTING TO DRIVE/BACK UP WHEN IT QUIT RUNNING. IT GOES "DEAD" WITHOUT A SOUND BUT ALL LIGHTS ARE ON, VEHICLE STATES IT IS RUNNING BUT YOU CANNOT MOVE WHEEL. YOU HAVE TO PUT BACK IN PARK, HIT START BUTTON AGAIN TO SHUT OFF IN ORDER TO ATTEMPT TO FIX PROBLEM. SOMETIMES TAKES SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET IT STARTED.

THEY NOTIFIED ME THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND PUT ME ON A "PAPER" CALL LIST. TODAY AUGUST 13, 2015 I RECEIVED MY SECOND RECALL NOTICE ON R09. I CALLED MICHIGAN CITY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP 219-872-8600 700 E. US 20, MICHIGAN CITY, IN 46360 AGAIN TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR AND RECEIVED THE SAME ANSWER AS IN MARCH. IT HAS BEEN 5 MONTHS NOW FROM THE ORIGINAL NOTICE AND IT IS CLEAR THIS DEALERSHIP HAS NO INTENTION OF MAKING THE RECALL REPAIRS WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME.

THE VEHICLE FIRST HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THE DEALER WOULD NOT FIX IT BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT ON AND CHRYSLER WOULDN'T AUTHORIZE. THE VEHICLE WOULD JUMP IN REVERSE OR ROLL AND NOT GO IN GEAR. LATER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND IT WAS REPAIRED. THEN THE VEHICLE BEGAN HAVING DIFFICULTY STARTING. THE MOTOR JUST CONTINUES TRYING TO TURN OVER. YOU HAVE TO TURN THE KEY OFF AND TRY TO START A COUPLE OF MORE TIMES AND THEN IT WILL RUN. THE VEHICLE WILL STALL WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS. I STARTED IT AFTER PUTTING GAS IN AT A GAS STATION AND STEPPED ON THE GAS AND IT DIED. I STARTED IT AND STARTED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND IT DIED AND CONTINUED ROLLING. IT ALSO DIED WHEN MY WIFE WAS PULLING AWAY FROM MY SONS SCHOOL. CHRYSLER HAS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR ALMOST A YEAR TO GET IT REPAIRED. RETURNED THE CAR TO DEALER WHOM REPAIRED VEHICLE AND SAID IT WAS THE OXYGEN SENSOR AND REPLACED. AGAIN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE RAN ROUGH. RETURNED THE CAR TO DEALER WHOM REPAIRED AND SAID THEY REPLACED THE CONVERTER. SOON AGAIN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. FOUND FUEL CAP 'POPPED OFF' A FEW TIMES, ENGINE LIGHT GOES OUT THEN ON AGAIN. RETURNED TO DEALER WHOM REPLACED FUEL CAP. THERE WAS ALSO AN OIL LEAK FIXED. AGAIN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND OFF AND THE ENGINE WOULD RUN ROUGH. SMOKE WOULD POUR OUT THE TAILPIPE, ENGINE SPUTTERING, DROVE BACK FROM MOUNTAINS. RETURNED CAR TO DEALER. THEY REPLACED POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE AND OXYGEN SENSOR (AGAIN). AND AGAIN, LATE JUNE 2015, ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND ENGINE SPUTTERING. DEALER TAKES CAR. DEALER TELLS US THEY ARE GOING TO 'GO THROUGH IT' AND DRIVE VEHICLE ENTIRE TIME. WE RECEIVE RENTAL CAR. DEALER CALLS AFTER WEEK AND SAID VEHICLE IS READY FOR PICKUP BUT THEY ARE AWAITING A CONVERTER AND ARE GOING TO REPLACE OXYGEN SENSOR ALSO. VEHICLE MILEAGE LOGGED; VEHICLE WAS NEVER 'DRIVEN'. THE FUEL RELAY WAS RECALLED ON MY CAR (NHTSA # 15V-115); I WAS TRYING TO DRIVE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT FUNCTION. I TOOK IT TO A DODGE MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE INTERNAL FUEL RELAY PUMP THAT FAILED. THIS IS PART OF THE TIPM. THE PART THAT FAILED WAS PART OF THE RECALL. PRESTIGE DODGE STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT FIX THE PART, AS THE SPECIFIC RECALLED PART (PART OF THE TIPM) FAILED BUT THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT. I CALLED DODGE CUSTOMER CARE (CASE NUMBER 27223921) AND WAS INFORMED THAT I COULD EITHER PAY FOR FULL REPAIR (AS THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE TIPM REPLACEMENT) OR "DRIVE WITH A FAULTY PART"--THOSE LAST WERE THE DODGE REP "KATELYN'S" EXACT WORDS. I WOULD NOT NEED THE NEW TIPM UNLESS THE FUEL PUMP (WHICH WAS RECALLED) FAILED--I WAS WILLING TO TAKE ONLY THE INTERNAL FUEL PUMP, BUT DODGE REFUSES TO PROVIDE THIS PART. AT THIS POINT, DODGE AND PRESTIGE DODGE IS REQUESTING THAT I PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A PART FAILURE CAUSED, AND ACKNOWLEDGED, BUT DODGE. I AM REQUESTING ASSISTANCE TO MAKE DODGE UPHOLD THEIR PART OF THE NHTSA RECALL AND FIX MY CAR. THERE IS A FIX (REPLACE THE TIPM), BUT THEY FEEL THEY SHOULDN'T PAY FOR IT. I SUSPECT NOW, SINCE THEY WERE BUSY & I WAS INQUIRING ABOUT OTHER RECALL FIXES (COST TO THEM) THIS WAS A WAY TO GET ME OUT OF THE SHOP QUICKLY. SKIP FORWARD A FEW WEEKS, THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. FROM 12/2/14-1/9/14, I LEFT MULTIPLE MESSAGES FOR SERVICE TO SCHEDULE AN APPT. MY MESSAGES WERE NEVER RETURNED. THE PROBLEM GOT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE, & BY CHRISTMAS THE CAR FAILED TO START ALL TOGETHER. TO CONTINUE WITH OUR FAMILY PLANS FOR VACATION, WE HAD TO RENT A CAR ($480); THERE WERE ALSO A FEW DAYS JUST AFTER THE NEW YEAR WHERE A RENTAL WAS REQUIRED SO WE COULD FUNCTION ($280). I FINALLY RESORTED TO SIMPLY HAVING THE CAR TOWED ($100) TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS ON 1/10/14 IN HOPES I COULD FINALLY GET A RETURN CALL. IT STILL TOOK 2 MORE DAYS (1/12/15) BEFORE SOMEONE RESPONDED. THIS TIME, I WAS QUOTED A PRICE OF ONLY $114 TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. I SPOKE TO THE SERVICE LEAD ON 1/14/15 WHO GAVE A DIAGNOSIS OF TIPM AND STARTER REPLACEMENT, PLUS 3 HRS LABOR COST (APPROX $1550). I MENTIONED THE RECALL ON THE TIPM, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE PRODUCED IN NOV 2011 FELL JUST OUTSIDE THE JUL 2011 WINDOW. I POINTED OUT IT WAS CLEARLY THE SAME ISSUE, BUT WAS ADVISED MY BEST ROUTE WAS TO DEAL WITH CORPORATE. I CONTACTED THE CORPORATE OFFICE ON 1/15/15 WITH NO SUCCESS AT GETTING CHRYSLER TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR THEIR LONGTIME, REPEAT CUSTOMER (THIS IS MY 5TH AND LAST CHRYSLER). AT ABOUT 54K/56K MILES THE AIRBAG AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEGAN TO GO ON AND OFF. WHEN I GOT IT CHECKED THEY DID NOT REPORT ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF AIR IS SYSTEM BUT THAT WAS COVERED IN THE DIAGNOSTIC. THEN THE CAR WOULD MAKE SUDDEN JUMPS FOR NO REASON, AIRBAG AND ENGINE AND BRAKELIGHTS REPEADEDLY CAME ON AND OFF. WHILE ATTENDING MY NEPHEW FUNERAL I GOT IT CHECKED SINCE I WOULD BE ON THE ROAD FOR NO LESS THAN 4 HRS. I LATER FOUND OUT THERE WAS A BREAK RECALL ONCE I GOT THAT FIXED (16 DEC) THE DASH WAS FLASHING EVERYTHING AIRBAGS, BRAKES, ENGINE. ONCE I PARKED THE CAR THE NEST DAY IT WOULD NOT COME ON. A JUMP DID NOT WORK. HAD IT TOWED AND TOLD IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP SYSTEM FOR A CAR JUST A LITTLE OVER TWO YEARS OLD AND THAT CHRYSLER WAS ONLY PAYING FOR 2011 DURANGOS FOR THIS ISSUE. DROVE THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND WAS TOLD THE EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WHEN ASKED WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF IT WASN'T REPLACED THEY TOLD ME THE CAR WOULD NOT START. I FIND THIS VERY ODD THAT I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN. THEN DOING AN INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT THIS SAME MODULE WAS A RECALLED ITEM IN THE 2011 VERSION OF MY VEHICLE. WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT IF THIS RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE THE 2012 YEAR MODEL DURANGO. *TR

IN MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE WHICH IS AFFECTING THE WAY THE ENGINE STARTS AND GETS FUEL TO THE FUEL PUMP. THE REPAIR COST IS $1213.71. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF DOCUMENTED CASES REGARDING THIS ISSUE IN THE CHRYSLER LINE AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT CHRYSLER IS AWAITING A TRAGEDY TO TAKE PLACE BEFORE THEY DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR THE CUSTOMER AND FIX THE PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED. I UNDERSTAND THAT A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT HAS BEEN FILED TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. ON OCT 3, 2014, THIS ISSUE FIRST OCCURRED WITH MY DODGE DURANGO. IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OF THE VEHICLE "TURNING OVER" FOR IT TO ACTUALLY START. THEN ON OCT 10, MY VEHICLE SPONTANEOUSLY STOPPED IN TRAFFIC. THEN IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET IT RESTARTED. I HAD MY CODES AND BATTERY TESTED, NO ISSUES WERE DETECTED. THIS PROBLEM STARTING THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN GOING ON SEVERAL TIMES A DAY SINCE OCT 3. ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT CHRYSLER HAVE BEEN A DEAD END. I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN GETTING THE RUNAROUND. INITIALLY IN EARLY JULY, 2014 MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO DEVELOPED A COMPUTER FAILURE CAUSING THE BATTERY TO EVENTUALLY DRAIN, LOSS OF ENGINE POWER AND ABILITY TO MAINTAIN OR ACCELERATE. REPAIR WAS MADE AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE LOCAL DODGE DEALER, MANFREDI DODGE, STATEN ISLAND N.Y , AND SUBSEQUENTLY THE BATTERY REPAIRED AND THE COMPUTER REPLACED. SHORTLY AFTER THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED THE PASSENGER AIRBAG FAILURE LIGHT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATE AND THE VEHICLE OCCASIONALLY WOULD NOT START. ANOTHER TRIP TO THE DEALER AND THE PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG SENSOR WAS REPORTED FAULTY AND THE VEHICLE TIPM SENSOR NEEDED REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR. CONFERRAL WITH THE DEALER SUGGESTED THAT THE TIPM SENSOR BE REPLACED RATHER THAN REPAIRED TO ASSURE LONGEVITY OF THE REPAIR AND OVERALL SATISFACTION. VEHICLE IS A LEMON! *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE TURNING THE IGNITION KEY TO START THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD A CLICKING NOISE AND THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO START THE ENGINE AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. IN ADDITION, WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING FOR THE FUEL PUMP RELAY INSIDE THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.

THE ISSUE BEGAN AS I TOOK MY TRUCK IN FOR A RECALL ON THE BRAKE SYSTEM. I INFORMED THAT I WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM NOT FUNCTIONING. SINCE THEN THE CRUISE CONTROL ISSUE HAD A DIAGNOSTIC THAT DARCARS IS INFORMING THERE IS NOT ISSUE BUT NO REPLACEMENT OR SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN PRESENTED. I BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE PUSH START AROUND 8/1. WHEN TRYING TO START THE TRUCK IT WILL NOT TURN OVER AND EVENTUALLY WILL STALL OUT COMPLETELY. SO I ATTEMPTED TO REMOTE START WHICH WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. SOON IT BEGAN TO CAUSE THE SAME PROBLEM. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN STARTING THE CAR WITH THE KEY. UNTIL 9/22, ON THAT MORNING MY SON STATED HE HEARD A HISSING SOUND FROM THE REAR DRIVER TIRE. I ALSO HEARD THIS SOUND AT APPROXIMATELY 2:15 PM. WHICH PROMPTED ME TO CALL DARCARS SERVICE CENTER BECAUSE A VANITY LIGHT RECALL WAS JUST MAILED TO US. SO I TRIED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. BEFORE I LEFT WORK AT 5:30 I ATTEMPTED TO UNLOCK THE DOOR AND COULD NOT WITHOUT THE KEY BEING INSERTED TO THE DOOR. THE CAR WOULD NOT CRANK. I STARTED REALIZING I WAS HAVING THE SAME NIGHTMARE AS OTHERS TIPM. THE CAR IS NOW BEING WORKED ON BUT THEY ARE CALLING THE ISSUE EVERYTHING BUT WHAT IT IS SO THAT I PURCHASE A FULL PUMP RELAY, THROTTLE BOX, AND BATTERY. COSTING ME 1400 PLUS 140 FOR ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC PLEASE ATTACH TO P54 RECALL MULTIPLE STALLS AND NON FUNCTIONING VEHICLE. *TR

WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ON THE WAY TO THE GARAGE AS THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN HAVING DIFFICULTY STARTING ON 4 OR 5 OCCASIONS OVER THE PREVIOUS DAYS. AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF, NO GAS NOTHING. I WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO A SAFE PLACE AND EVENTUALLY IT STARTED BACK UP AGAIN. TOOK THE VEHICLE THE DEALERSHIP ON 9-8-2014 AND WAS ADVISED THAT IT WAS THE RELAY FROM THE TIPM TO THE FUEL PUMP. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2011 MODELS FOR THIS SAME THING; BUT MY SUV IS A 2012 MODEL. I WANTED TO FILE THE COMPLAINT AS THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION AND CLEARLY IT IS HAPPENING IN MODELS OTHER THAN THE 2011. THE REPAIRS WERE ALMOST $300.00 FOR A PROBLEM THAT IT SEEMS LIKE OTHER MODELS ARE HAVING JUST AS THE 2011 DURANGOS. *TR

SITTING IDLE ON A DRIVEWAY VEHICLE BEGAN TO SMOKE AND SMELL. PUNCHED GAS THREE TIMES AND EACH TIME HUGE WHITE BLUE CLOUD OF SMOKE PUSHED OUT. SMELL OF BURNING METAL CAME WITH CLOUD OF SMOKE. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY AT FIRST COULD NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. AFTER PLACING THE VEHICLE ON AN INCLINE AND STARTING IT UP THEY TOO GOT THE SMOKE, AND NOT JUST FROM MINE BUT FROM ANOTHER ON THE LOT. THEY TELL ME THAT IT IS THE OIL PAN DESIGN IS FAULTY AND THAT MY VEHICLE WILL SMOKE WHEN ON AN INCLINE, DRIVEWAY, HILL, STUCK IN TRAFFIC AT A SLOPE. THE EMISSIONS ARE HORRENDOUS AND I AM SHOCKED THAT A 57 HEMI ENGINE WOULD DO THIS. SHOCKED MORE THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM AND HAS NOT YET FIXED IT. *JS
