When I’m driving my blinkers and windshield wipers turn on and off randomly and the stereo shuts off ac quits working and the windows lock and can’t be rolled down and when I’m at idle it has very loud ticking noise coming from dash board I think it’s the middle area behind stereo this happens multiple times a day and some days it doesn’t stop till vehicle is turned off and I’ve also noticed that hitting bump in road seem to make the issues worse all of the above mentioned happens together at same time
Interior panel lights will dim and flicker, headlights dim, radio will lose power, cabin fans for air conditioning will slow then the engine dies. This can happen while idling or driving at highway speeds without warning. When the engine dies all power steering is lost and braking and control is extremely difficult. After stopping the gear shift will not move into park and the key will not move to the off position for several minutes. Diagnosis narrowed this down to the TIPM. It was replaced and the issue stopped for 6 months then reoccurred. TIPM replacement again fixed the issue. Obviously the TIPM's have a defect and has been widely reported. Major issue is that only remanufactured TIPMS are available from the same defective build. Dealer charges over $1000 for the part and more to install it. There should be a class action lawsuit on this obvious dangerous defect that has not been addressed by Dodge.
WHEN I AM DRIVING THE CAR STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD, THE CAR ENGINE CUTS OFF AND THE STEERING GOES RIGID AND DIFFICULT TO STEER A I GLIDE AND PULL THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED PROBABLY 30 TIMES OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS. TWICE (WHEN THE CAR WAS ONLY A YEAR OR SO OLD) THE SHIFTING HAS JUST SLID OUT OF PLACE INTO ANOTHER GEAR BY ITSELF. THIS IS SO SO SO DANGEROUS. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN TO A MECHANIC SEVERAL TIMES. THEY HAVE "FIXED"ISSUES TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT I SPEND MONEY ON"FIXES" THAT DO NOT RESOLVE THIS TERRIBLY FRIGHTENING PROBLEM.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CAR SHUTS OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING . IT WILL START BACK UP AFTER YOU PUT IT IN PARK AND TURN IT BACK ON BUT IT JUST SHUTS OFF . IT SHUT OFF ON ME TWICE ON THE HIGHWAY WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR AND FOUR TIMES WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY.IT MAKES THIS WEIRD NOISE WHEN TURNING LEFT AND THE LIGHTS ARE FLICKERING ON AND OFF. IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH THE DOORS SEEM TO JUST OPEN AND CLOSE ON THERE OWN THE TRUNK SHUT ON ME WHILE I WAS GETTING GROCERIES OUT. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE SHOP AND THEY SAID THEY CAN'T DUPLICATE THE SHUTTING OFF AND CLAIMED THEY FIXED THE DOOR OPENING IN IT'S OWN PROBLEM .WELL THE DOORS CONTINUE TO OPEN AND NOW THEY ARE HARD TO OPEN WITH THE KEY AND YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY OPEN THEM . THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND THE DEALER IS CLAIMING THERE IS NOTHING WRONG PLEASE HELP ME.

HEADLIGHTS FAILED AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES. WHEN TURNED OFF AND BACK ON, THEY WOULD BLINK FOR TWO OR THREE TIMES THE REMAIN OFF. AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES I RETURNED TO THE CAR AND THEY TURNED ON NORMALLY AND WORKED FOR ABOUT 9 MILES BEFORE FAILING AGAIN. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES OF RESTARTING AND RETRYING THE LIGHTS THEY WORKED AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 8 MILES THEN FAILED AGAIN. REPEATED PROCESS AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE ABOUT 20 MILES HOME WITH NO MORE FAILURES. SAME FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN YESTERDAY (ABOUT 4 DAYS AFTER FIRST INCIDENT). THIS TIME THERE WERE MULTIPLE FAILURES IN 12 MILES. ALL FAILURES OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION.

LIGHT OFTEN COMES ON WHEN POWER WINDOW BUTTONS ARE PRESSED; BATTERY HAS BEEN CHECKED; ALTERNATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE (!) ALSO LOOKING AT THE ONLINE FORUMS, IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THIS MODULE ON A LOT OF VEHICLES. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE DIAGNOSED IT TO THE TIPM. I BELIEVE SINCE THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH MULTIPLE VEHICLES, CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALL THESE TIPMS SINCE THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE.

CHANGED FAULTY PULLEY ON BELT SYSTEM AND ISSUE NOT RESOLVED. COMPUTER DOES NOT COME BACK WITH ANY CODES. LOCAL MECHANIC CHECKED FOR STARTER, ALTERNATOR, IGNITION SWITCH ISSUES AND ALL SHOWING GOOD. VEHICLE IS NOT PART OF DODGE RECALL OF OTHER 2010 THAT ARE HAVING EXACT SAME ISSUE.

WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DODGE DEALERSHIP IN A FEW DAYS, HOWEVER, READING ONLINE THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT COULD ENTAIL A CIRCUIT DEFICIENCY WITHIN THE TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MANAGEMENT (TIPM) MODULE. WE JUST PURCHASED THE VAN FROM A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP 2 MONTHS AGO AND THIS IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE THAT THE HEADLIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY WORK. THE VAN IS GROUNDED FROM OPERATION AT NIGHT AND DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS AS THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE CONDITION.

WE TOOK OUR VAN TO OUR MECHANIC WHO TOLD US HE COULD TRY TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH, WHICH WE HAVE DONE, BUT WE NEED TO TRY REPLACING TIPM, BUT AT A PRICE TAG OF $600-700, IT IS STILL NOT A GUARANTEE AND IT IS ON NATIONAL, OR FROM THE WORDS OF A PERSON AT THE DEALERSHIP - GALACTIC, BACKORDER WITH NO DATE AS TO WHEN TO EXPECT THE PART TO BE IN. WE CALLED A LOCAL DEALER TO FIND OUT WHO TO COMPLAIN TO AND WE WERE TOLD WE NEEDED TO VERIFY THE PART WAS ON BACKORDER, WHICH WE DID AND IT IS. CHRYSLER TOLD US THAT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE TO CORRECTING THE MATTER AND ALL ATTEMPTS TO FIX THE ISSUE ARE OUR RESPONSIBILITY. OUR CONCERN IS THAT WE CAN NO LONGER SAFELY DRIVE OUR CAR IN THE RAIN, WHEN OUR HEADLIGHTS NEED TO BE ON OR AT NIGHT, IF WE CANNOT BE ASSURED THE LIGHTS WILL WORK THE ENTIRE TIME WE ARE OUT. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN APRIL 2015. ON 08/13/2015, I WAS DRIVING LATE AT NIGHT ON INTERSTATE 5. BOTH HEADLIGHTS UNEXPECTED FLASHED ON AND OFF, THEN STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY AND ATTEMPTED TO GET THE HEADLIGHTS WORKING BY JIGGLING THE LIGHT SWITCH, BUT NOTHING WORKED. THE SIDE MARKER LIGHTS AND FOG LIGHTS DID WORK, SO I USED THOSE SO I COULD GET OFF THE FREEWAY UNTIL DAYLIGHT. SINCE THAT DATE, IT HAS HAPPENED THREE MORE TIMES. ONE TIME, IT OCCURRED WHEN I SIMPLY HIT THE REMOTE DOOR UNLOCK. THE HEADLIGHTS STARTED FLASHING, THEN WENT OFF. I WAS UNABLE TO GET THE HEADLIGHTS TO TURN BACK ON BY MANIPULATING THE LIGHT SWITCH AND HAD THE USE THE PARKING LIGHTS AND FOG LIGHTS. IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE CAUSED BY A FAULTY SWITCH. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS REPORTS ONLINE THAT THIS IS NOT A RARE OCCURRENCE.

THIS ISSUE KEEPS RECURRING EVERY MONTH OR TWO FOR THE LAST 1.5YRS AND NOBODY SEEMS TO KNOW THE CAUSE. WHEN THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED, I WAS DRIVING 20 MPH IN A SCHOOL ZONE AND MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE VAN WITH ME. ALL THE ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTATION SUDDENLY TURNED OFF. THE VAN CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD, BUT THE TURN SIGNALS, DASH INSTRUMENT PANEL, WINDOWS, LOCKS, ETC. ALL FAILED TO WORK. I THOUGHT A FUSE HAD BLOWN OR SOMETHING. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND PARKED, BUT THE VAN WOULD ONLY TURN PART WAY OFF. THE MOTOR STOPPED RUNNING, BUT THE KEY INDICATED THAT THE MOTOR WAS STILL ON. THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN COUNTER CLOCKWISE, OR "OFF" PAST THE "ON" DESIGNATION MARKED ON THE IGNITION. THE KEY WOULD NOT RELEASE/COME OUT OF THE IGNITION. SINCE I COULD NOT GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION, I TRIED TO START THE VAN. IT WOULD NOT START. MY HUSBAND CAME OUT AND TRIED TO JUMP START IT, THINKING IT MIGHT BE A PROBLEM WITH THE BATTERY. THIS WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. I HAD CALLED A LOCAL MECHANIC FROM THE CAR, AND WITH HIS HELP MY HUSBAND WAS ABLE TO GET THE VAN STARTED. HE DROVE IT TO THE MECHANIC'S SHOP. THE MECHANIC LOOKED AT THE "CODES" AND SAID IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS UNDER RECALL. HE WAS ABLE TO GET THE KEY TO RELEASE AND MY HUSBAND DROVE THE VAN TO THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD HIM THAT OUR VAN WAS PART OF AN IGNITION RECALL AND THAT DODGE WOULD HAVE THE PARTS REPLACED. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING MORE THAN TWO WEEKS NOW, AND STILL THE DEALER SAYS THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VAN. I TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN AND CHILDREN IN A CARPOOL. I CANNOT RISK THEIR SAFETY, AND I HAVE NO CAR TO DRIVE TO WORK. THE FIRST WEEK WITHOUT THE VAN, I BORROWED A CAR. I WAS ON VACATION FOR THE NEXT WEEK.
