WHILE WORKING ON THE VEHICLE THE CONSUMER FOUND THAT THE BRAKE LINE WAS SEVERELY RUSTED. THE BRAKE LINE RUPTURED IN SEVERAL PLACES AND WAS LEAKING BRAKE FLUID. *AK

I PURCHASED A 1993 DODGE INTREPID FROM A USED CAR LOT. 2 DAYS LATER THE CAR STARTED SMOKING WHEN GOING DOWN A HILL. THEN THE BRAKE LIGHTS BEGAN TO STICK I HAVE TO PULL UP ON THE PEDAL TO GET THEM TO GO OFF AND THE STEERING WHEEL POPS WHEN GOING AROUND A CURVE. NOW THE CAR SITS AT A REPAIR SHOP NEEDING A TRANSMISSION BECAUSE THE DRIVE AND REVERSE GEARS FAILED LEAVING ME WITH A BILL OF 800-2000 TO REPAIR IT. I BELIEVE IF THE MANUFACTURERS WOULD'VE DONE THEIR JOB RIGHT IN THE BEGINNING ALOT MORE PEOPLE WOULD BE PROUD TO OWN A DODGE! *NLM

APPLIED BRAKES WHILE APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION, BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR, AND VEHICLE CONTINUED INTO INTERSECTION. LUCKILY, NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED. VEHICLE TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP, AND INFORMED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO BRAKE FLUID POURING OUT OF ABS PUMP. *AK *SLC
CONSUMER WENT THROUGH 4 SETS OF FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS FROM 40,000 TO 72,000 MILES. CONSUMER FELT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT ON THE REAR CALIPERS AND ROTORS WHICH CAUSED FRONT ROTORS AND CALIPERS TO AGE PREMATUALLY AND CRACK. *AK
WHEN ENGAGING BRAKES TO STOP AND PUTTING ON GAS BRAKE LIGHTS ARE STILL ON AND VEHCILE IS STILL BRAKING WHILE CONSUMER IS TRYING TO GIVE IT GAS. *AK
RIGHT BRAKES WILL APPLY THEMSELVES OR NOT RELEASE AND THE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. YH
ROTORS FAILED SEVERAL TIMES.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE & HIT A BUMP, THE REAR SUSPENSION SHOOK. ALSO, TIRE BLEW OUT AT 25MPH & VEHICLE WENT INTO TAIL SPIN & HIT GUARDRAIL. WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED LEFT. WILL BE TAKING VEHICLE TO DEALER. *AK
THE CONSUMER IS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH HER ANTI-LOCK BRAKES . THE ANTI-LOCK LIGHT REMAINS ILLUMINATED . WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THEY MAKE A LOUD CRUNCHING NOISE. THE DEALER SAID THAT THE SPRING IN THE BRAKING LIGHTS WAS THE PROBLEM. WHEN THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC, THE MECHANIC TOLD HER THAT THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE ABS PUMP. THE CONSUMER HAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT THE SITUATION. *AK
RIGHT BRAKE LINE IS VIBRATING, CAUSING IT TO RUB AGAINST FRAME, MAKING A WHOLE WHICH CAUSED BRAKE FLUID TO LEAK, RESULTING IN LOSS OF BRAKES. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
BRAKE ROTORS FAILED DUE TO RUSTING.
WHATEVER SPEED CONSUMER DRIVES THE ENGINE JUST QUITS, CAUSING IT TO LOSE THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. ALSO HAS TO COAST TO A STOP BECAUSE HAS NO BRAKES TO STOP THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER ABOUT THE PROBLEM. *AK
ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND DEALER SAID THAT CONSUMER NEEDED AN NEW ABS MODULE. *AK
ABS FAILURE.
ABS BRAKE FAILURE, WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND BRAKES ARE APPLIED, ABS COMES ON AND CAUSES A THUMPING NOISE, PULSATES AND MAKES A LOUD NOISE, AFTER PUMPING BRAKES FOR PERIOD OF TIME, BRAKES GO BACK TO NORMAL. *AK
FRONT RIGHT ABS BRAKE ENGAGES WHEN DRIVING AT HIGH SPEED, USUALLY AFTER AN HOUR OF DRIVING AT ABOUT 60-70 MPH, VEHICLE SHAKES WHILE BRAKING. *AK
DURING VEHICLE OPERATION NOISE AND SHAKING/VIBRATION IS EXPERIENCED WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED. AS A RESULT THE FRONT RIGHT CALIPER NEEDS REPLACEMENT.*AK
APPLIED BRAKES, STEERING WHEEL PULLED OUT OF DRIVERS HAND VEHICLE VEERED TO THE RIGHT AND HIT A TREE. DUAL AIR BAGS DID DEPLOY. *AK
ABS , FRONT BRAKE ROTORS WARPING AND CAUSE LOSS OF BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS. TT
ABS SYSTEM FAILURE, INTERMITTENTLY THE ABS INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON, WHEN BACKING OUT OF DRIVE WAY THE BRAKES GRAB. TT
