BOUGHT CAR IN 2001, WITH 69,000 MILES. 2 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE, GAUGES STOPPED WORKING, CAR RAN FINE, NO NOISE, ETC. INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE. HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING PAST DEALER, STOPPED AND THEY CHECKED FOR CODES, NONE FOUND. HAPPENED AGAIN, DEALER HAD CODE FOR AIRBAG MODULE THIS TIME, REPLACED PART. PROBLEM IS STILL INTERMITTENT. 2003, DRIVING AT 75 MPH ON HIGHWAY, CAR STALLED, NO RESTART. TOWED TO DEALER, THEY REPLACED TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP. ALSO HAD BRAKE ROTORS AND PADS REPLACED AT 72,000. THEY WERE DONE AT 55,000 ALSO. REPLACED TIE ROD ENDS 2004 AT 97,000. THEY HAD BEEN REPLACED A WEEK BEFORE PURCHASE AT 68,500. PASSENGER AIRBAG COVER WARPED, I FEAR IT MAY FAIL IN ACCIDENT. *JB

I WAS IN PARKING GARAGE AT JFK AIRPORT. WHEN I STARTED CAR AND PUT IT INTO GEAR, THE CAR SHOT FORWARD AND CRASHED INTO CONCRETE BARRIER AND PILLAR. THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED AND THE BRAKING DID NOT SLOW IT DOWN. THE CAR WAS TOTALLED AND THE TRAVELERS INSURANCE HAS OFFERED $2275 LESS THE $500 DEDUCTIBLE.
ABS LIGHT IS ON CONSTANTLY. VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN EXAMINED BY DEALER.*AK *TT

TRANSMISSION FROZE AT 55 MPH 1998 REPLACED STILL PROBLEMS???, ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE WENT WHILE IN DRIVE AT 35MPH, FRONT TIE RODS REPLACED 2 TIMES WITHIN A YEAR, AIRCONDITIONER WENT WITHIN 4 YEARS, COOLING SYSTEM REPLACED WITHIN 4 YEARS FROM MANUFACTURED DATE, ABS MODULE FAILED DURING DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND AGAIN IN CITY LIMITS AFTER DEALER STRESSED THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH ANTI LOCK BRAKES I HAVE HAD THIS CAR IN THE SHOP FOR MAJOR NOT MINOR REPAIRS SINCE THE MANUFACTURED DATE AT LEAST 15 TIMES AND CAN PROVE EACH TIME. I AM APPAULED THAT AMERICA CAN MANUFACTUR SUCH A VEHICLE WITH ALL THE MAJOR ISSUES AT HAND, TRANSMISSION, SUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL,BRAKING SYSTEMS,FUEL,AIRBAGS,STRUCTURAL, I WISH THERE WAS SOMEONE WHO COULD ADDRESS THESE ISSUES WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND GET US ALL RESTITUTION. IF IT MEANS LEGALLY OR CONSUMER AGENCIES I AM INTERESTED. I DRIVE WITH 2 CHILDREN AND DURING THE TRANSMISSION, ELECTRICAL AND THE ABS FAILURES THEY WERE IN THE CAR. UPON DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO MAKE A NORMAL STOP THERE IS HEAVY PULSATING DUE TO THE FRONT BRAKE ROTORS WHICH WEAR EXCESSIVELY. ALSO, SIX SET OF ROTORS HAS BEEN REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
WHEN CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES THERE WAS AIR INSIDE OF THE PEDAL. PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR, AND VEHICLE VIBRATED. *AK
ABS MODULE FAILED AT 48,000 MILES. ALSO, TRANSMISSION WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT INTO 1ST. & 2ND. GEARS, AND INTERMITTENTLY WOULD STICK IN 2ND GAR. IF THIS OCCURRED, WOULD HAVE TO STOP VEHICLE, AND TURN ENGINE OFF TO RELIEF. DEALER/MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED AT THIS TIME. *AK
TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED; POWER STEERING PUMP HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE, STEERING COLUMN HAS BEEN REPLACED AS WELL AS CHIPS IN COMPUTER SYSTEM THAT RELATE TO STEERING, ABS LIGHT WILL NOT TURN OFF EVEN THOUGH EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY INSPECTED; WHEN CAR IS STARTED, A BUZZ COMES FROM PASSENGER AREA THAT LASTS FOR 10 SECONDS; IF VENT IS TRUNED COMPLETELY OFF, THE BUZZING RETURNS; AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR FAILED AND ALL THE HOSES AND VLAVES NEED REPLACED;
FRONT END OF VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE WHEN APPLYING BRAKES, RATTLING NOISE UNDER HOOD, ALL FOUR DOOR HINGES WOULD SQEAK AND DROP WHEN OPENING THE DOORS THIS WAS RETURNED SEVERAL TIMES TO DEALER,AND STILL BACK DOORS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. ENGINE MOUNTS WENT OUT, RUBBER MOULDING AROUND INSIDE OF DRIVERS DOOR FELL OFF 3 TIMES FINALLY THEY GLUED IT ON AGAIN. ENGINE CHECK LIGHT KEPT COMING ON THEY REPLACED THE SENSOR EVEN THOUGH THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG, THE BRAKES AND ROTORS GAVE OUT CHRYSLER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE ROTORS BECAUSE IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. TRANSMISSION STILL SLIPS WHEN APPLYING GAS TO PEDAL.VEHICLE SITS AND THEN SURGES.VEHICLE IS IN SHOP AGAIN FOR LOUD THUMPING NOISE IN FRONT END OF VEHICLE POSSIBLY ENGINE CRADLE . CONTACTED CHRYSLER ABOUT LEMMON LAW AT BEGINNING OF OWNERSHIP OF VEH AND THEY SAID IT DID NOT APPLY.
CONSUMER PULLED UP TO THE LIGHT TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN, AND VEHICLE LOST POWER. BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING. DRIVER SHIFTED TO RIGHT WHERE ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS PRESENT, AND SHE HIT THE OTHER VEHICLE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. ABS LIGHT STAYS ON EVERYTIME WHEN STARTING VEHICLE UP. CONTACTED A LOCAL MECHANIC. MECHANIC RAN AN ANALYSIS, AND DETERMINED THAT THE MAIN COMPUTER WAS BAD. FREON LEAKED OUT OF AIR CONDITIONER AT 92,000 MILES. *AK

CAR HAS A ROUGH DOWNSHIFT AT A STOP LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN A SLIGHT TOUCH ON THE GAS PEDAL CAUSES FIRST A 2-3 SECOND RACE OF THE ENGINE THEN A SUDDEN 10 FOOT LURCH. I MUST STAY A CAR LENGTH BEHIND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO AVOID A CRASH . DODGE SAYS I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION

FRONT BRAKES SQUEAL AFTER FRONT BRAKE PADS REPLACED AND FRONT ROTORS WERE TURNED. RIGHT FRONT STABILIZER AND LEFT SIDE SWAY BAR LINK WERE REPLACED, NOISE IN FRONT END. *SLC
