Component/System That Failed or Malfunctioned & Availability for Inspection I have experienced multiple safety-critical failures in my 2012 Dodge Journey, including transmission failure, catalytic converter defects, engine repairs, electrical malfunctions, and brake system issues. Pattern of Recalls Across Dodge Journey Models & Lack of Recall for My Vehicle There have been numerous recalls across multiple model years (2009-2020) for the exact same failures my vehicle is experiencing, including: Transmission failures and defects Engine problems requiring major repairs Catalytic converter and exhaust failures Brake system failures and premature caliper wear Electrical malfunctions affecting windows, wiring, and power systems Despite this clear pattern of defects in Dodge Journey models, my specific vehicle has not been recalled for these issues. Dodge/Stellantis needs to explain why these defects are not being covered under existing recalls when the same problems have been recognized in other model years. How My Safety & Others’ Safety Was Put at Risk 1. Transmission Failure & Unsafe Driving Conditions My transmission failed completely, causing high RPM revving, and loss of acceleration. My vehicle essentially stalled out on the highway. Now, the transmission requires a full rebuild costing over $5,238.64. Dodge has issued recalls for transmission defects in other Journey model years, but mine is excluded despite experiencing identical failures. 2. Engine Repairs & Performance Failures My vehicle has required major engine repairs, including: Camshaft and rocker arm replacements Ignition coil replacements Thermostat and cooling system repairs Dodge has issued engine-related recalls for other Journey models, including crankshaft/camshaft sensor failures, engine stalling, and overheating risks. Abs, brake, and traction light coming on coded c2200-49 told there was a recall and when I called the dealership they said it wasn't for my vehicle but they couldn't even order the part because they're having to replace them on so many and they are not in stock anywhere until after April 15th. March 10th 2023 . Driver side door panel Caught on fire. The panel has was replaced by National Auto Sales 3 times. It renders me (the owner) of 2012 dodge journey not to able to open the driver side door & all the windows. I think this is very dangerous & a safety issue.

The car shifts super hard into second gear. The inside smells like the car is over heating,driving down the interstate the car losses power,you can push your foot to the floor and nothing,the car will not excelerate at all.It's extremely dangerous. You have to pull over turn the car off and then on again to get it to go. This happens about every 20 minutes or so,the heat only works in the driver vent and the smell gives you a headache and makes you sick to your stomach. The vehicle is not safe at all. The catalytic converter gives gas off into the cabin.

The electrical is so messed up the battery drains within hours, I have shorts in all aspects of this car(Bluetooth, navigation, clicking relays nonstop, heat goes out intermittently, power switches on doors. I saw my headlights surging in power in the middle of nowhere, they would get bright, then go dim, then a battery icon illuminated on my dashboard before my car downshifted so hard I almost lost control of the car. The dealer replaced my motor mounts and my alternator, after calling to say my battery is bad and then turned around and said it wasn’t. Not to mention my brakes locked up in a little rain and I couldn’t stop crashing through a wall. Replaced my rear light turning bulb and it exploded with fire when I went to change it. The suspension is horrible and I am pretty sure my cv axles are all broken. Everything keeps breaking. Lifter Taps intermittently, rough idling and hard shifting. Key fob doesn’t start car or is recognized with fresh batteries in it. When I jump start it sometimes the horn goes off for a minute. The reverse camera goes out for days and randomly comes on again. Under the hood feels so extremely hot and for some reason it doesn’t register as overheating. Even when I check fluids and for the coolant levels are low for some reason. There is an actuator That constantly is going off under the dash. Airbags didn’t deploy when i hit the wall at all. The limp mode has come on and gone off a few times. Only codes I have is for tps and an outdoor ambient temperature sensor that says it’s either negative 40 degrees or 122 degrees. Which won’t let me clear nor allow me to remote start. Warranty is gone and when you take the fuse box cover off under the hood(just the cover) it goes haywire shaking and lights all over the dash and I have to shut the car off. Yes somebody please inspect this vehicle. The absolute worst vehicle I owe 12k on and I can’t afford to fix all of this that’s shutting down at the same time

So I the wiring harness in the hatch needed replaced. So we replaced it and a year later the interior light would come on randomly, then my rear wiper stopped working, all my rear light are messed up sometimes they work sometimes they don't. And not the computer says don't ajar so I can't lock my 2012 journey and the alarm goes of randomly... I'm afraid it's gonna catch fire like I have been reading online.

MY FAMILY AND I ,WAS GOING THROUGH ANINTERSECTION WHEN SOMEONE RAN RED LIGTH WE PERFORMED AN EMERGENCY STOP APPLYING BRAKE PEDAL WHERE ABS KICKED IN ,NO COLLISON ACCURED BUT THE ABS AND BRAKE PEDAL SYSTEM "DID NOT'' RECOVER WITH THE PEDAL CONTINUE TO FADE TO FLOOR AFTERWARDS ..... THERE ARE NO CURRENTLY NO VISIABLE LEAKS ON BRAKING SYSTEM AND BRAKE PADS BOTH FRONT AND REAR ARE 8-10 MM IN THICKNESS

As I was braking to enter the on-ramp of Hwy 1923 from Asheville, I noticed for the second time, my brakes were not slowing me down as usual, instead, they acted as if they were slowly grabbing. As I speed up to the correct speed limit, It seemed as though my brakes started to grab again without me depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle made a throbbing, and vibrating sound. All this after just having taken the vehicle to my mechanic for the same problem two days prior. The back brakes were replaced, the front brakes looked fine, and everything was checked out. Two days later brakes started acting up again, not working normally and acting as if thay are grabbing and vibrating the vehicle! No warning lights were shown. Next step is the Dodge Dealer. Another very aggravating glitch that the Dodge Dealer said that didn see, is the fact that every time I park the vehicle, I have to turn the sterring wheel a certain way before the battery will shut off, if not the battery will be drained!

The battery and traction control lights went on. A smell like nail polish remover followed by white smoke came from under the hood. After pulling over, the hood was opened and white smoke came from the passenger side, not the drivers side where the batter is located. After cooling down for about 45 minutes, the car had now power. The fob, power locks, lights, everything was dead. Unknown cause, need to have the car towed for an estimate and cause.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The check engine light came on a few days ago and now the battery light came on. The right headlight has condensation in it and the heat slowly has gone out across the front panel. The touch screen sometimes works but sometimes malfunctions. I have to get my car changed from Michigan to Virginia and it will require an inspection How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The car slows down or electrical goes wired while I’m the car and I have 2 children under the age of 2. So if it catches fire due to an electrical problem or the engine fails while driving because of the check engine light or battery light it could cause a serious problem Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No they just started a few days ago the check engine light came on and now the battery light came on. It’s been a great car but I’m not sure what’s happening now because it’s nothing I did.

Electrical - the vehicle while driving just shut off. No power, no lights, the engine died. The vehicle was brought to a stop, placed in park and then restarted without issue. The ABS system - the brakes failed to work. While at a stop light, brakes depressed, the vehicle began rolling backwards.

Total loss of power while driving. Clock resets to noon. Gas Guage shows over filled once vehicle gets put in park and gets turned back on. No codes on the dash. Touchscreen normally red. Turns to blue for duration of vehicle trip. Then back to red next trips. Can't be duplicated by mechanic. Wierd fuel odor coming from vehicle. Steering locks up after total loss of power. No problems with not starting so far. But driving with 3 yr old on busy streets is dangerous now

My safety was at risk and I put others at risk when my vehicle lost power in the middle of a busy highway and almost caused an accident with my 2 young children in the car. It would not accelerate and we got stuck in the middle of the rode. The ABS light came on when it happened. I took it to my local dealer to diagnose and was told there was water in the ABS module connector which caused the wires to corrode. Chrysler had a recall on this specific issue for my model but because my vehicle didn't come out of a specific batch, they won't cover it. This is a safety issue and if other vehicles of this make and model were recalled for this specific issue, they should fix mine. I have attached the R61 recall from Chrysler for this issue

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER MAX CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM BELTON (7820 E. 171ST ST, BELTON, MO 64012, (816)331-4300) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING THE CLOCKSPRING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 173,000.

THE RADIO/THERMOSTAT WINDOW POWER LOCKS AND USB SLOWLY STARTED TO MALFUNCTION. NOW THE SCREEN TO THE RADIO AND THERMOSTAT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. THE WIRING HARNESSES LOCATED AT THE REAR HATCH WHICH HAS NO VISIBLE OUTSIDE DAMAGE, YES ALL THE WIRING INSIDE IS PINCHED AND EXPOSED. THE ONLY WAY WE DISCOVERED IT WAS BECAUSE THE BACK WIPER BLADE WENT OUT.

WHEN THEY ARE ALL ON, I HAVE NO TRACTION AT ALL AND SLIDE ALL OVER THE PLACE. IT IS VERY UNSAFE AND I FEEL LIKE MY CAR IS A DEATH TRAP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE CONTINUED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A COMMON FAILURE WITH THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO PERMANENT REMEDY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 174,000.

THIS VEHICLE HAS ELECTRICAL ISSUES. THE DOORS LOCK AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE TAILGATE IS OPENED. THE RADIO AND CLIMATE CONTROL COME ON BY THEMSELVES EVEN AFTER TURNING IT OFF MULTIPLE TIMES. THE STEERING MAKES A WHINING NOISE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE TURNING TO THE LEFT. THE AWD AND TRACTION CONTROL IS OFF AND THE SERVICE AWD LIGHT COMES ON. THE CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING WHEN THERE WAS A LOUD "THUMP" IN THE REAR END AND ALL THE TRACTION AND AWD DASHBOARD LIGHTS CAME ON. ALL THESE PROBLEMS ARE EVIDENT AND OCCUR WHILE DRIVING.

I WAS DRIVING MY CAR YESTERDAY WHEN THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO GET IT BACK HOME EVERYTHING IN THE CAR STARTED SHUTTING OFF AND THEN THE CAR STARTED STALLING WHILE I WAS ON THE ROAD I BARELY MADE IT INTO A GAS STATION BEFORE THE CAR DIED AND HAD IT TOWED TO TRIPLE A REPAIR SHOP TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTICS DONE ON THE CAR WHICH HAS NOW BEEN STATED TO ME THAT ITS THE ALTERNATOR AND IVE ONLY HAD THE CAR 3 MONTHS BOUGHT IT USED BUT THE BATTERY WENT BAD AND NOW THE ALTERNATOR IN LESS THEN 2 MONTHS OF EACH OTHER ALONG WITH THE ACTUATOR ALSO CLICKING WHEN THE ALTERNATOR WENT OUT. ALL OF THIS HAPPENING IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. WHEN THE CAR STARTED DYING ALL THE ELECTRICAL LIGHTS WENT OFF THE BRAKES THE ABS THE AIR BAGS EVERYTHING AND THIS WAS ON A BUSY ROAD DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) CONTROL MODULE. THERE'S WAS A RECALL FOR OUR 2012 DODGE JOURNEY WHICH THE PREVIOUS OWNERS TOOK CARE OF IN OCT 2015 (THE MONTH AND YEAR OF RECALL). WE PURCHASED IN 2017. A FEW TIME THE ABS LIGHT HAS COME ON BUT ONLY FOR A MINUTE OR 2 SINCE WE BOUGHT IT. TODAY 8/2/2019 IT CAME ON ALONG WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT AND (NO TRACTION LIGHT (THE SWIVELING CAR IMAGE LIGHT). WE HAVE HAD A LOT OF HEAVY RAIN. WE WHERE TOLD BY SERVICING STATION BY DIAGNOSTIC TEST IT WAS THE ABS CONTROL MODULE SYSTEM MALFUNCTION. AND IF WE DID NOT GET FIXED OUR BRAKES COULD LOCK UP AND SYSTEM FREEZE UP. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE THAT WAS CORRECTED IN PAST BUT IS NOW HAPPENING AGAIN. THESE LIGHTS CAME ON JUST AS WE STARED TO DRIVE. WHEN THE CAR WAS RESTING FOR 30 MINUTES AND I WAS LEAVING TO DRIVE TO SERVICE STATION THE BREAK PEDAL WAS EXTREMELY HARD TO PUSH DOWN ( BREAK NEEDS TO BE PRESSED WITH TOUCH BUTTON START). I ALMOST COULDN'T START CAR. THE BREAK FINALLY SOFTENED AND I WAS ABLE TO PRESS DOWN TO START CAR. AT THAT POINT THE LIGHT DID NOT COME BACK ON FOR 5 MINUTES WHILE DRIVING BUT SADLY IT DID COME BACK. IT WOULD REMAIN WHEREVER IT WAS WHEN THE SWITCH WAS TURNED OFF. THIS WAS A VISIBILITY ISSUE. THE KEY-LESS ENTRY FOB WOULD NOT UNLOCK THE CAR DOORS. THIS WAS NOT A FOB BATTERY ISSUE. THIS WAS VERY PROBLEMATIC FOR PASSENGER DOORS WHICH COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE CAR. THIS WAS BROUGHT TO A DEALER FOR REPAIR. THEY DIAGNOSED THE CAR WITH HAVING SPLIT WIRES IN THE LIFT GATE. I AM CONCERNED THAT SPLIT WIRES COULD HAVE CAUSED A SHORT AND EVENTUALLY A FIRE. WHEN OPENING THE BACK HATCH, ALL THE DOORS WILL RANDOMLY LOCK OR UNLOCK. THE HATCH LIGHT DOES NOT WORK. THE REAR WINDOW, BACK HATCH, WIPER CLEANER WILL NOT WORK. CAR DIED AND WOULD NOT RESTART. WE WERE STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR 5 HOURS WITH NO HEAT AND NO POWER TO THE CAR. EVEN CALLLED ROADSIDE AND THEY TRIED TO JUMP IT. IT WOULD START BUT THEN GO HAYWIRE AGAIN. BATTERY LIGHT AND ETC AS WELL AS ALL OTHERS LIGHTS COME ON. IT HAS LEFT ME AND MY KIDS IN THE COLD MORE THAN ONCE. WHILE IN MOTION ON 7/25/18 THE VEHICLE STOPPED RUNNING, BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON, RADIO TURNED OFF, WIPERS STARTED GOING ON, AND LIGHTS DIMMED. TRIED TO RESTART AND WOULDN'T SHOWING BATTERY LIGHT, ABS LIGHT, SYMBOL WITH LIGHTNING BOLT, AND SAID IT COULD NOT DETECT KEY. VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DIAGNOSED WITH CODE P0622, AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED AN ALTERNATOR. REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR ON 7/28/18. ON 7/29/18, THE CAR WAS RUNNING GOOD, AFTER ABOUT A HALF HOUR THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR SLOWLY STARTED TO SHUT DOWN WHILE IN MOTION WITH MY WIFE AND CHILDREN IN THE CAR. I THEN REPLACED THE BATTERY. AFTER DRIVING 2 MILES THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON, THE ENGINE STARTED TO REV HIGH AND GO LOW, OTHER DASH LIGHTS CAME ON, THE A/C TURNED HOT AND THE CAR STARTED TO COME TO A CRAWL.

I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE PUSH BUTTON START ( SOMETIMES 4 ATTEMPTS TO START IT ARE NEEDED ) . THE DEALERSHIP SAYS IT'S PROBABLY THE BATTERY AND OFFERED TO REPLACE IT SO ON THE 27TH OF THIS MONTH, I WILL TAKE IT TO THE DEALERS AND TRY TO RETURN IT ALL TOGETHER. NONE OF US SHOULD BE HAVING ISSUES LIKE THIS AND I'M REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH DODGE AND HOW THEY'RE "NOT" DOING MUCH TO HELP ANYONE. TAKATA RECALL I WAS DRIVING HOME WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT I SMELT A BURN ODOR. I WAS JUST A 1/4 OF A MILE FROM HOME SO I DROVE IT HOME. UPON PARKING I NOTICED THERE WAS A SMALL SPOT UNDER MY CAR FORMING. ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER. CHECK ALL MY FLUIDS AND AND NOTHING WAS LOW. THE NEXT DAY IT STARTED AND RAN OK UNTIL IT WAS RAN FOR ABOUT 15 THEN ONCE AGAIN THE SMELL AND NOW A LOW GROWLING. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND PARKED AT A GAS STATION. I HAD A LOCAL SHOP LOOK AT MY CAR AND THEY DETERMINED MY TRANSFER CASE IS BROKEN. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY CAR WHEN ACCELERATING IT WOULD PULL SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT WHEN IT SHIFTED GEARS. WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. IT SHOULDN'T TRY AND CHANGE LANES WHEN YOU ACCELERATE. I HAVE ALMOST HIT THE CAR NEXT TO ME JUST BY ACCELERATING. I HAVE ALSO BEEN DRIVING ALONG AND HAVE MY CAR TURN OFF. I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, PUT IT IN PARK AND START IT AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON FOUR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE STALLING HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE THE TRANSFER CASE WAS ON CITY STREET.

SERVICE ALL WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT COMES ON OFTEN, THE PARK ASSIST STOPPED WORKING ,TAILLIGHTS FLICKERING OFTEN, ONE OF MY FOBS WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO EVEN WITH A NEW BATTERY.DRIVER SEAT IS ALSO STARTING TO ACT UP TO HAVING TO WIGGLE THE SWITCH AROUND TO MAKE IT WORK. THIS BEGAN TO OCCUR AFTER MY MOTOR WAS REPLACED AT 17,000 MILES BY THE DODGE DEALER BECAUSE IT HAD A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. THERE WERE HOLES IN THE METAL OF THE MOTOR AND OIL WAS SEEPING OUT OF IT. NOW I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER, THE RADIO, ALL CHARGING PORTS, THE CRUISE CONTROL, AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON RANDOMLY. THE LOCAL DODGE DEALER ALWAYS SAYS EVERYTHING IS FINE WHEN I TAKE IT IN, BECAUSE THEY CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM WHEN IT IS IN THE SHOP.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A FUSE BOX FAILURE. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER BECAUSE THERE WAS A RECALL; HOWEVER, THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.

SHE THE CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THEY BROUGHT IT HOME. WE HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY. THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED I WAS ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM AS TO NOT GET STRANDED AND ONCE AGAIN REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY. THE AUTO PARTS GUY INSURED ME THAT THEY HAD FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH THE NEW ALTERNATORS. CLEARLY NOT. WE JUST FINISHED OUT 3RD REPLACEMENT OF BOTH ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY AFTER A LONG ROAD TRIP WE HAD TO BUY A BATTERY IN THE MIDDLE OF TO GET HOME. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSE. THEY DID THE OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTED THE CAR AND SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE IT WAS "NORMAL NOISES" HOWEVER AFTER COMPLAINING AND COMPLAINING THE WERE ABLE TO LOCATE AND FIX THE ISSUE WITH THE SHIFTING NOISES AND JOLTING. WE ARE STILL EXPERIENCING THE "NORMAL NOISE" OF THREE CLICKS WHEN THE ENGINE TURNS OFF. WE HAVE NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL/COMPUTER ISSUES. THE AIR, RADIO, TOUCH SCREEN, LIGHTS, ALL GOT OFF RANDOMLY. WE WERE IN THE RIGHT LANE AND ABLE TO COAST OFF THE HIGHWAY AND AVOID BEING HIT. VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP THAT SOLD IT. THEY WERE ABLE TO CRANK THE VEHICLE AND SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. BECAUSE OF SAFETY CONCERNS WE PUSHED THEM TO CHECK FURTHER AND THEY THEN SAID THERE WERE A COUPLE OF SENSORS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED (CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR & CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR). WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING THOSE. THE VEHICLE IS A FAMILY VEHICLE THAT IS USED REGULARLY TO TRANSPORT CHILDREN AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS. 2012 DODGE JOURNEY HERO AWD HATCHBACK SHOWED A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THEN LOST ALL POWER AND BLACKED OUT. BATTERY WAS REPLACED, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AGAIN CAME ON AND IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS BLACKED OUT (ZERO POWER) AGAIN. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DODGE AND DURING A 2 WEEK PERIOD IN THE SHOP THE ALTERNATOR, BATTERY, TWO O2 SENSORS AND THE PCM WERE REPLACED IN AN ATTEMPT TO FIX THE ISSUE CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE 2012 JOURNEY WAS BEING USED TO JUMPSTART A 1997 F 350 FORD TRUCK. THE F 350 WAS NOT RUNNING WHILE THE JOURNEY WAS. JUMPER CABLES WERE ATTACHED CORRECTLY. THE WOMEN JUMPING THE CAR WENT INTO THE HOUSE FOR A MOMENT WHEN SHE HEARD AN EXPLOSION AND THE ROAR OF THE FIRE. THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE WINDSHIELD WAS BLOW OUT AND FLAMES REACHED 12 FEET INTO THE AIR. AFTER THE FIRE TRUCK PUT OUT THE BLAZE, THE HOOD HAD VAPORIZED . THE CAR WAS REPORTED AS A TOTAL LOSS BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE HEAT FROM THE FIRE WAS SO INTENSE IT IGNITED THE F 350. IT TOO WAS DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS. I DO NOT KNOW THE CAUSE OF THE EXPLOSION IN THE JOURNEY. THE FIRE CAPTAINS REPORT STATES THE ORIGIN OF THE FIRE WAS THE 2012 DODGE JOURNEY. I BELIEVE THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH WOULD OCCUR IF A PERSON IS NEARBY OR SITTING IN THE VEHICLE. *TR

I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY DASHBOARD STARTED TO FLICKER. I COULDN'T INCREASE MY SPEED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. MY CAR BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN ON ITS OWN ACCORD.
