Sold me a vehicle with a branded title with /knowledge it was a total loss vehicle now the ABS and traction lights or on the seatbelt deployed light is on air sensor light on and brakes or grinding I purchased on 10-4- 2025 this is November-20-2025 I asked for refund and to cancel they say as is not sure this is a wreck or flooded vehicle

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed and the Push to START button was pressed; however, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the brake pedal felt firm and added force was needed to depress the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) system failure. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that most recently, the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired after the most recent failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Recently I have been having issues with the rear back up camera in the vehicle not working turning off beeping when nothing is around, also glitching and showing the camera upside down. I am also experiencing battery drainage in the vehicle I have just had the battery replaced and the alternator replaced as well, while I am searching online for common issues this seems to be happening to a large amount of people and the issues just keep equaling out to more then one problem. Motors staying on, electrical problems, constant power draws, many more issues I have many links to articles with dodge journey owners having numerous issues and dodge not wanting to fix anything or recall things to fix their mistakes. Battery, car started turning off. Turned off on us when we made a stop right after getting off of freeway, luckily no car were coming. Changed Battery but still had problems. Then check engine light turned on, car stared pulling, had a mechanic check it and said it was the engine. We would have to replace it and that's those kind of cars we're having a lot of problems.

Electrical system keeps failing. Ecm emitts erroneous commands and changing it doesn’t solve the problem. Dealer won’t work on it and Chrysler doesn’t know. Research says that this is happening by the thousands.

The car inside electrical would turn on, radio on, lighting on, fan on, but the engine light would be on and the car would not start. Not even a tow truck can jump it. I've fixed it once and they said it was the alternator, but that was 6 mths ago.

I was getting into leave my car and three lights came up. The traction light, ABS, and my Brake light. It rained really hard yesterday and now I have all three lights on my dash. Supposedly the recall is no more and I have to pay out of pocket. I just bought this car back in May of 2022. I should not be held responsible for paying out of pocket for this recall. I need help getting this fixed.

Our 2013 Dodge Journey (only owners) has had a few recalls and had multiple challenges with overheating within the engine. Although, We have had all the recalls we are aware of completed it continues to shut off and not start. Ours, our children, and other passengers safety has been at risk as we have been strained with no running vehicle and the unknown if the vehicle will just shut off while in operation. While we can not guarantee the sources of the general internet it is a common search and alignment to say an abundance of 2013 Dodge Journey owners have experienced this and have been searching for answers yet have not received an adequate response. Our vehicle has been inspected by a Dodge facility, and two other independent mechanics to no avail we are in this situation with no answers nor solutions. Our check engine light has been present since we can remember and we were told on multiple attempts even after the engine beauty cover recall that it was ok, obviously it’s not and is sad the quality of the engine lasted barely 128,000 miles. Our Journey has been un-drivable as it is stated to need a new engine from the overheating.

Vehicle will not start. Took to dealership and they charged battery. After repairing some recommendations I got the car back and it wouldn’t start. Same issue as before, I took it back and they said it was dead battery. I paid for a new battery and drove it home. Next day it would not start. I’ve been reading some reader boards and I’m told it has to do with wiring to the transmission. It gets cold in Alaska and my daughter and granddaughter can’t be stranded in inclement weather. Tested the starter and the alternator and both are good. New battery and new key fob battery and still a no go. Dodge needs to figure this out, as their certified mechanics can’t seem to diagnose the issue.

MY CAR STALLED ON ME WHILE DRIVING. THE FIRST TIME (2014) IT HAPPENED I WAS MAKING A TURN ON A CITY STREET. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. IT JUST STALLED WHILE DRIVING LAST WEEK FOR A SECOND TIME. I WAS WAITING ON A LIGHT ON A CITY STREET. MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY DEAD I COULDN'T PUT THE HAZARD LIGHTS ON. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A SCHOOL ZONE. I TRIED STARTING IT AND NOTHING. TWO GENTLEMEN HAD TO PUSH MY CAR OUT OF TRAFFIC. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE, IMAGINE HAD I BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY SOMEONE WOULD OF HIT FROM ME BEHIND AS I HAD NO POWER AT ALL. THERE WAS NO WAY OF WARNING THE CARS BEHIND ME AS I HAD NO POWER. I REPLACED THE BATTERY IN 1/2021 AND ALTERNATOR IN 3/2021. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE DODGE FORUM WEBSITE I BELIEVE SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE FOR SAFETY ISSUES. ALSO MY BLUETOOTH SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING THAT IS ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE. I DID COMPLAIN TO DODGE AND THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ON THE DODGE FORUM WEBSITE. SO I RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE TO FIND OUT THAT, IT WAS A WIRING HARNESS THAT WAS CUT FROM REAR DOOR OPENING AND CLOSING I FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT HAS THE SAME ISSUE THIS ISSUE SHOWED EXPOSED WIRING. ALL 3 TIMES MY CARS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON & A WEEKS LET ME SIT. AS OF JAN. 8, AGAIN MY CAR LEAVING ME, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON & A WEEKS LATER LEFT ME SIT. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT, I'M UNEMPLOYED & HAVE A CAR PAYMENT, I CAN'T AFFORD A COSTLY REPAIR. THIS SEEMS TO BE A GENERAL PROBLEM WITH THE JOURNEYS, WHY ON EARTH AREN'T YOU RECALLING THEM. DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND ENGINE DIED. DASH LIGHTS AND GAUGES FLASHED OFF AND ON. SPEEDOMETER WENT BACK AND FORTH. THEN IT STARTED RUNNING AGAIN. A COUPLE DAYS LATER IT DIED WHILE TURNING A CORNER. I HAD TO RESTART VEHICLE. A COUPLE DAYS AFTER THAT I WENT TO START THE CAR AND NO LIGHTS, GAUGES OR NOTHING WORKED. THE BATTERY AND REMOTE KEY WERE FINE. CHECKED TO SEE IF HORN WOULD BLOW, IT WORKED. TRIED TO START AGAIN AND EVERYTHING WORKED FINE. IT IS VERY UNSAFE FOR IT TO JUST DIE WHITE ON THE HIGHWAY GOIN AROUND A CURVE.

MY WHOLE STEERING COLUMN IS CAUSING PROBLEMS FROM AIRBAGS, MY WIPERS NOT WORKING NOW, SPEED-CONTROL WONT WORK., TRACTION CONTROL . CAUSING MY CAR TO SWERVE OUT OF CONTROL AND CAUSING MY CAR TO ALMOST ROLLOVER AS IT WENT INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, I KEEP HAVING TO CHANGE MY TIRES INCLUDING THE BACK TIRES THE MOST.THE CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN THIS HAPPENED.THE LIGHT IS ON THE DASH, BUT NO ONE WILL FIX IT, I HAVE A SON WHO IS 14 YEARS OLD I BOUGHT THE CAR BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE DEPENDABLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE FAILED TO IMMEDIATELY RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. SCHUMACHER CHRYSLER DODGE LOCATE AT 2102 FEDERAL HWY A, DELRAY BEACH, FL 33483, AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT PROBLEMS I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH SINCE DAY ONE OF OWNING MY DODGE JOURNEY. THE FIRST BEING ELECTRICAL, MY CLOCK RUNS FAST BECAUSE OF THE POWER FLOW TO IT. I HAVE 2 POWER OUTLETS IN MY CAR THAT DO NOT WORK PROPERLY AND 1 OF THEM THE DEALERSHIP IN FLORIDA MESSED UP TO FIX ONE OF THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE SECOND ISSUE IS WHEN I ACCELERATE MY TRANSMISSION CLICKS, I WAS PRETTY MUCH TOLD I WAS CRAZY BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE NOISE AND NOW THAT I DO NOT HAVE A WARRANTY THEY ARE REPORTING IT TO ME AND WANT ME TO PAY. THE LAST AND FINAL ISSUE IS MY BRAKES I HAVE HAD MY BRAKE BOOSTER REPLACED AND MY BREAK MASTER CYLINDER AND I STILL KEEP LOSING MY BRAKES. IF I HAVE TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES OR PUT ANY REAL PRESSURE MY BRAKES GO SOFT AND TO THE FLOOR. BOTH OF THESE PARTS WERE REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WERE JUST GUESSING ON WHAT WAS WRONG AND THEY DIDN'T CORRECT THE PROBLEM.

THE FIRST TIME I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, AND RIGHT AFTER ACCELERATING FROM A STOP AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR DIED. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED, AND HAD AN AUTO PART STORE DO SOME BASIC TESTS AND WAS TOLD IT WAS JUST A BAD BATTERY, HOWEVER WHEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN THE DAY AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY. THIS TIME I WAS ON A CITY STREET HAVING JUST EXITED OFF OF THE INTERSTATE. I WAS IN TRAFFIC AND AGAIN THE CAR JUST LOST POWER DUE TO THE ENGINE SHUTTING DOWN. AGAIN IT WOULD NOT START AND COULD NOT BE JUMP STARTED SO HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. DEALER WAS ABLE TO GET A CODE P061C, AND FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS TO UPDATE THE PCM. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS APPLIED TO THE POWER CONTROL MODULE. I AM VERY CONCERNED WITH THE FACT THAT MY CAR CAN JUST SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE WITH NO WARNING AT ALL. VERY DANGEROUS.

MY 2013 DODGE JOURNEY HAS A RANDOM NO START. IT WILL JUST CLICK. THE BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, AND STARTER ARE ALL GOOD. I USUALLY HAVE TO JUMP IT TO GET IT TO START. SOMETIMES THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK. IT WILL MAKE THE LIGHTS START TO GO HAYWIRE. THEY WILL FLICKER OR FLASH ON AND OFF. IT WILL SAY NO KEY DETECTED WHEN I'M LITERALLY SITTING WITH MY KEY FOB IN HAND. IT IS A PUSH BUTTON START. I HAVE GOT THE BATTERIES REPLACED IN THE KEY FOB AS WELL. THIS WILL HAPPEN AT RANDOM. IT'S HAPPENED IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH A SLIGHT INCLINE SO WE PARKED IT ON THE CURB WHERE IT WAS FLAT TO SEE OF MAYBE THE INCLINE OF THE DRIVEWAY HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT, BUT IT'S DONE IT ON FLAT SURFACES AS WELL. I HAVE TRIED TO LOOK UP REASONS WHY AND HAVE SEEN THIS AS AN ISSUE WITH A LOT OF OTHER JOURNEY OWNERS. THIS STARTED BACK IN THE SPRING AND HAPPENS SEVERAL TIMES IN A WEEK THEN IT WILL STOP FOR ALMOST A MONTH AND THE CYCLE WILL START ALL OVER AGAIN.

WE HAVE TAKEN OUR VEHICLE INTO THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 5 TIMES SINCE AUGUST 2016 FOR THE SAME SAFETY CONCERNS OF JERKING AND STALLING WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS. THE MOST RECENT EPISODE OCCURRED TODAY. WE HAVE HAD MULTIPLE NEAR MISS ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE STALLING. THE DEALERSHIP HAS CHARGED US ALMOST $2000 OVER THESE LAST 3 YEARS. THESE CHARGES HAVE INCLUDED REPLACEMENT OF TIRES, BATTERIES AND SENSORS WITHOUT RESOLUTION OF PROBLEM. ALTERNATOR SHOT, AND CHARGING SYSTEM, REQUIRES COMPLETE RE WIRE AS OF 8-13 / 3 BURNT WIRES, MECHANIC CALLED AUTO ELECTRIC SPECIALIST, INDICATED COMPLETE CHARGING SYSTEM BURNT UP.

WHEN I GO TO TURN IT BACK ON SAYS MY CAR IS NOT IN PARK WHICH IT IS. I REALLY HOPE I'M NOT DEALING WITH WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DEALT WITH WITH THIS VEHICLE. MY CAR IS ABOUT TO HIT 70K MILES. AFTER AN HOUR DRIVE THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN I WAS TOLD THE BATTERY SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE NEXT DAY THE CAR DIED COMPLETELY I HAD TO GET TOWED. I WAS TOLD TO GET AN ALTERNATOR FROM MOPAR WHICH I DID. NEW BATTERY ANOTHER NEW ALTERNATOR A NEW SENSOR NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE OTHER DAY WHEN ALL THE IDIOT LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING, SO I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. I TRIED TO RESTART IT AND THE BATTERY WAS DEAD!! E TN DODGE HAD JUST REPLACED THE BATTERY, UNDER WARRANTY, AS I HAD JUST REPLACED THE BATTERY TWO MONTHS EARLIER, AND NOW IT WAS DEAD, ONCE AGAIN, 1 YEAR LATER, ALMOST TO THE DAY. AND NOW IT'S BACK AT E TN DODGE, REPLACING THE BATTERY ONCE AGAIN. WE HAVE NOTICED THAT THE CLOCK IN THE JOURNEY WILL EITHER GAIN TIME OR LOOSE IT, WITHOUT US EVEN TOUCHING IT OVER THE COURSE OF A WEEK OR MORE AT A TIME, WE'VE GIVEN UP ON SETTING IT AT ALL. AGAIN, THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. ONE IN EVERY FOUR TIMES ENTERING THE JOURNEY, OUR MAIN DOME LIGHT (AROUND THE SECOND ROW OF SEATS) WILL BE ILLUMINATED WITHOUT ANY INTERACTION FROM US AND ITS NORMALLY ON FOR HOURS AT A TIME. THE DATE I HAVE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ISN'T THE DATE OF THE OCCURRENCE BECAUSE THIS HAS ALL TAKEN PLACE OVER THE PAST YEAR TO A LITTLE LONGER THAN A YEAR. WENT ON VACATION FOR 10 DAYS IN SPRING OF 2016, SO VEHICLE SAT, AND I RETURNED TO A COMPLETELY DEAD BATTERY ON 04/05/16. JUMP STARTED VEHICLE AND DROVE IT A WHILE. VEHICLE WOULDN'T SHIFT DOWN WHEN GETTING ON FREEWAY AND WAS REVVING WAY TOO HIGH, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WERE FLASHING, AND A BATTERY SAVER MODE MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DISPLAY. I TOOK IT TO SEARS AGAIN ON 04/14/16 (IT HAD SAT FOR 2 DAYS AGAIN, AND WOULDN'T START, SO HAD TO BE JUMPED). THEY'VE HAD IT A WEEK NOW, HAVE RUN ALL KINDS OF TESTS AND THE ONLY THING THEY CAN DETERMINE IS THAT THE BATTERY IS DRAINING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND NOT RUNNING. SEARS IS GOING TO REPLACE THE BATTERY FOR ME AGAIN, BUT THERE IS CLEARLY A BIGGER ISSUE GOING ON HERE, AND I HOPE THIS IS RESEARCHED FURTHER. I WAS AT THE DRIVE IN MOVIE AND HAD THE TRUCK RUNNING FOR PART OF THE MOVIE. I SHUT THE TRUCK OFF AND JUST LISTENED TO THE REST OF THE MOVIE VIA MY RADIO AND HAD THE LIGHTS OFF. WHEN THE MOVIE WAS OVER I I COULD NOT CRANK MY TRUCK. YOU COULD SEE THE LIGHTS ON IN THE INSIDE BUT MY TRUCK DASH SAID MY KEY WAS NOT IN VEHICLE OF WHICH IT WAS. THEN IT SAID VEHICLE NOT IN PARK OF WHICH IT WAS. MY UCONNECT SCREEN KEPT TRYING TO LOAD AND WOULD JUST KEEP GOING OUT. I HAD 3 PEOPLE TRY TO JUMP IT JUST IN CASE THE BATTERY WAS DEAD EVEN THOUGH I KNEW IT WASN'T INCLUDING THE TOW SERVICE FOR MY INSURANCE. NONE OF THIS WORKED. I HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME NOW I CAN NOT LOCK MY VEHICLE CAUSE IT HAS NO POWER. MY DASH SAYS MY KEY IS NOT IN THE VEHICLE OF WHICH IT WAS AND THAT THE VEHICLE IS NOT IN PARK OF WHICH IT WAS. MY VEHICLE HAS HAD TWO FAILED ALTERNATORS. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 50000 MILES. THE FIRST HAPPENED LESS THAN A YEAR. IT WAS REPLACED UNDER THE WARRANTY. THE 2ND WAS RECENTLY REPLACED VIA AN EXTENDED SERVICE CONTRACT BUT STILL COST ME $200 FOR THE DEDUCTIBLE AND A BATTERY THAT WAS RUINED BY THE ALTERNATOR. EACH TIME I HAD A BATTERY SAVER MODE MESSAGE, NOTHING ABOUT THE ALTERNATOR. THE 2ND TIME I WAS TRAVELING ACROSS COUNTRY AND THE VEICHLE STARTED DOWNSHIFTING AND ALL THE DASHBOARD INDICATORS STARTED RANDOMINGLY LIGHTING UP LIKE A PINBALL GAME. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE HIGHWAY SO I WOUND'T GET HIT. I WAS ALSO IN A SPARSELY POPULATED AREA AND WAS LUCKY TO GET TOWED TO A NEARBY DEALERSHIP.

MY VEHICLE HAS UNDERGONE REPEATED REPAIR ATTEMPTS, FOR A DEFECT AND NONCONFORMITY WITH DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION, TRANSMISSION CLUNK, DEFECTIVE A/C, DEFECTIVE DOOR LOCKS, DEFECTIVE WINDOW REGULATOR, AND RADIO FAILURE. THESE NONCONFORMITIES SUBSTANTIALLY IMPAIR THE USE, VALUE AND SAFETY OF THE SUBJECT VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION HAS SHIFTING ISSUES TO THE POINT OF HAVING TO FORCE IT INTO REVERSE, ESPECIALLY IF PARKED ON AN INCLINE. THE DEFECTIVE A/C AND RADIO SEEM TO BE CONTAINED IN THE ALL-IN-ONE UNIT IN WHICH THE RADIO GOES OUT AND A/C WILL TURN ON AT RANDOM AND NOT TURN OFF. THE UNIT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REPLACED ONCE, ONLY FOR THE PROBLEM TO CONTINUE. THE DEFECTIVE DOOR LOCKS AND WINDOW REGULATOR WAS A RESULT OF WIRING ISSUE BCM AND DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY. I HAVE FILED A LEMON LAW SUIT AGAINST CHRYSLER AND BILL LUKE, ONLY TO BE DECLINED AS THEY STATE IT WAS ALL WITHIN WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE IS NOT WORTH NEARLY WHAT I OWE ON IT AND HAS A HUGE LIST OF REPAIRS THAT WOULD REFLECT NEGATIVELY ON CARFAX IN THE EVENT OF TRADE OR RESALE. I HAVE ATTACHED A SUMMARY OF REPAIRS, BUT HAVE ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION, IF NEEDED.

GLOVE BOX ILLUMINATION LIGHT STAYS ON. THE SWITCH DOES WORK WHEN DEPRESSED BY HAND, HOWEVER, THE GLOVE BOX DOES NOT SIT HIGH ENOUGH WHEN LATCHED TO DEPRESS THE SHUTOFF SWITCH FAR ENOUGH TO TURN OFF THE LIGHT. ATTEMPTED SEVERAL FIXES SUCH AS AN EMPTY GLOVE BOX TO NO AVAIL. THE ONLY TEMPORARY SOLUTION IS CLOSING THE GLOVE BOX WITH AN OBJECT BETWEEN THE SWITCH AND THE GLOVE BOX TO SHUT OFF THE LIGHT. THE LIGHT HAD BEEN ILLUMINATED FOR A VERY LONG TIME WHEN I NOTICED IT, AND WITH THE LIGHT BEING AN INCANDESCENT IT WAS VERY HOT. LIKELY TO START A FIRE IF A USER STORES NAPKINS OR OTHER PAPER PRODUCTS IN THE GLOVE BOX AND THEY REACH THE LIGHT AREA, WHICH CAN BE REACHED BY HAND WITH THE BOX OPEN.
