Cusumer choice automotive 1706 lower Roswell rd. Sold me a vehicle with a branded title with /knowledge it was a total loss vehicle now the ABS and traction lights or on the seatbelt deployed light is on air sensor light on and brakes or grinding I purchased on 10-4- 2025 this is November-20-2025 I asked for refund and to cancel they say as is not sure this is a wreck or flooded vehicle
I was driving to work and my ABS and Traction control light came on while driving in the rain and started hydroplaning on the highway now my brakes are not working properly
I was getting into leave my car and three lights came up. The traction light, ABS, and my Brake light. It rained really hard yesterday and now I have all three lights on my dash. Supposedly the recall is no more and I have to pay out of pocket. I just bought this car back in May of 2022. I should not be held responsible for paying out of pocket for this recall. I need help getting this fixed.
Antilock break system ABS wiring
Vehicles ABS and Traction lights came on several times and went off. There is a grinding sound when I try to break. I have to pay $65 to have the issue diagnosed. This vehicle has given me problems since I got it. I need to have this fixed

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER HAVING THE REPAIRS COMPLETED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THEY PRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO MOVE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO FAIL TO STOP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE THEN TURNED TO THE RIGHT AND CRASHED INTO THE CURB ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO COME TO A STOP.NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE FRONT-END OF THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED. THE CONTACT HAD NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THEY HAD THEIR SPOUSE COME TO SLOWLY DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME AT APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THEN HAD THEY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER (ADDRESS: 1880 HIGHWAY 290 WBRENHAM, TX 77833-5216; PHONE: 979-291-2785) WHO STATED THAT THE SPEED CONTROL SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS WELL AS OTHER REPAIRS, WHICH, WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE'S ABS SYSTEM WAS STILL FAILING. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER WHO REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT PROBLEMS I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH SINCE DAY ONE OF OWNING MY DODGE JOURNEY. THE FIRST BEING ELECTRICAL, MY CLOCK RUNS FAST BECAUSE OF THE POWER FLOW TO IT. I HAVE 2 POWER OUTLETS IN MY CAR THAT DO NOT WORK PROPERLY AND 1 OF THEM THE DEALERSHIP IN FLORIDA MESSED UP TO FIX ONE OF THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE SECOND ISSUE IS WHEN I ACCELERATE MY TRANSMISSION CLICKS, I WAS PRETTY MUCH TOLD I WAS CRAZY BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE NOISE AND NOW THAT I DO NOT HAVE A WARRANTY THEY ARE REPORTING IT TO ME AND WANT ME TO PAY. THE LAST AND FINAL ISSUE IS MY BRAKES I HAVE HAD MY BRAKE BOOSTER REPLACED AND MY BREAK MASTER CYLINDER AND I STILL KEEP LOSING MY BRAKES. IF I HAVE TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES OR PUT ANY REAL PRESSURE MY BRAKES GO SOFT AND TO THE FLOOR. BOTH OF THESE PARTS WERE REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WERE JUST GUESSING ON WHAT WAS WRONG AND THEY DIDN'T CORRECT THE PROBLEM.

THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES EXTREMELY SOFT AFTER THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ENGAGES OR AFTER BRAKING WHEN DRIVING OVER A BUMP/POTHOLE. IT CAN STILL BRAKE, BUT I HAVE TO PRESS THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, AND THE CAR SLOWS DOWN RATHER THAN STOPPING. IT WILL STAY SOFT A WHILE (15-20 MIN), BUT I FOUND THAT IF I PUMP THEM HARD A FEW TIMES (LIKE WHILE AT A RED LIGHT) IT THEN RETURNS TO NORMAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES, MOSTLY RECENTLY 2/28/2019. I'M AFRAID THIS WILL HAPPEN AND RESULT IN ME HAVING AN ACCIDENT OR REAR-ENDING SOMEONE.

REGARDLESS OF VEHICLE SPEED, 10 MPH OR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, BRAKE PEDAL WOULD GO ALMOST TO FLOOR AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO PUMP IT SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THE BRAKE TO ENGAGE. TOOK IT IN TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC AND FOUND THAT FLUID WAS LEAKING INTO DRIVER'S SIDE INTERIOR, DIAGNOSED A FAULTY MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP. THEY SERVICED ALL OUTSTANDING RECALLS. THEY REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER AT A COST OF $982 TO US. BRAKES WORKED FINE FOR THREE WEEKS THEN PROBLEM STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN BUT THIS TIME BRAKE WARNING LIGHT IS NOT ILLUMINATED. JUST AS BEFORE, SOMETIMES THE BRAKES WORK NORMALLY, OTHER TIMES THE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR AND YOU HAVE TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL UNTIL IT 'CATCHES'. TAKING IT BACK IN TO DEALER - THIS IS A DANGEROUS PROBLEM, NOT KNOWING IF THE CAR IS GOING TO STOP OR NOT. JUDGING BY THE NUMBER OF REPORTS FROM MOTORISTS AND MECHANICS ON VARIOUS WEBSITES, THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A KNOWN ISSUE WITH 2013 DODGE JOURNEY VEHICLES.

AFTER GOOGLING MY EXPERIENCE, I FOUND NUMEROUS OTHER COMPLAINTS FROM PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. IF I HAD BEEN GOING FASTER ON THE HIGHWAY OR EVEN ON OUR CURVY BACKROADS I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR EVEN KILLED! I DRIVE MY CHILDREN IN THIS CAR AND I'M SCARED TO DEATH TO GET BACK IN IT. I APPLIED MY BRAKES AND THEY BECAME SPONGY THEN SHORTLY AFTER THAT THE BRAKES ALMOST WOULD NOT STOP. VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE BRAKES BEGAN TO BOTTOM OUT EVEN WHEN APPLIED WHILE IN PARK. THERE IS NO LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID IN MASTER CYLINDER. SUSPECT ABS SYSTEM. THERE WAS A RECALL TO FIX ABS FAILURE THAT THE DEALER DID.

MY BATTERY DIED AT YEAR AND A HALF, OF 3 YEAR WARRANTY. AFTER GOING SEVERAL ROUNDS AND UP TO MANAGER, THEY REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE BATTERY. I HAD RCVD INFO ON RECALL T47, W/AIRBAGS AND STEERING WIRING ISSUE, SO HAD THAT TAKEN CARE OF ALSO. I P/U JOURNEY, ON MY WAY HM THE ESC LIGHT KEPT COMING ON AND BRAKES WOULD LOCK UP, CAR WOULD PULL TO THE LEFT AND ALOT OF RATTLING UNDER THE FRONT END, PULLING ME INTO OTHER LANE. IT WAS DRY, NO RAIN ON A STRAIGHT ROAD. CALLED HAD TO WAIT 4 DAYS TO TAKE BACK IN, TOLD THEY FORGOT TO RE-INITIALIZE ABS SYSTEM AND THAT THE BATTERY BEING DISCONNECTED CAUSED ISSUE, I ASKED WHY IT DIDN'T HAPPEN AFTER 1ST BATTERY WAS REPLACED, THEY DIDN'T KNOW. ON MY WAY HOME, THE ISSUE WAS BACK, TOOK IT BACK TO LHMILLER DODGE, WAS THEN TOLD THAT THEY NEED TO DIAGNOSE, SAYING IT COULD BE CLOCK SPRING/AXLE/DRIVESHAFT/DIFFERENTIAL AND IT WILL COST SEVERAL HUNDREDS JUST TO DIAGNOSE. I ASKED IF THEY COULD REPLACE THE INITIAL RECALLED R16 ESC PART AND WAS TOLD THAT WOULD BE AT MY EXPENSE. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT OPEN THE STEERING WHEEL/SHAFT TO HAVE CAUSED THE ISSUE W/CLOCK SPRING DURING T47 REPAIR. THE INSTRUCTIONS ON REPLACEMENT SHOW THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO OPEN IT AND BE IN DIRECT CONTACT W/CLOCK SPRING. THEY ARE WANTING TO PAY FOR WHAT WAS NOT REPLACED AND WHAT THEY DAMAGED. MY CAR IS STILL HAVING THE ISSUE AND I THINK THEY SHOULD REPLACE THE ESC PART AND CLOCK SPRING AT NO CHARGE. I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO GET A DIAGNOSIS AND THEN HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL FOR REPAIR. THE ESC LIGHT COMES ON WHILE I AM IN PARK AND WHILE DRIVING ON STRAIGHT CITY ROADS, IT ENGAGES AND THE VEHICLE STARTS TO SLOW DOWN LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL AND YOU CANNOT APPLY GAS OR IT PULLS MORE. BEFORE I TOOK IT IN FOR THE WARRANTIED BATTERY AND RECALL, I HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE.

WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON I PUMPED THE BRAKES A FEW TIMES AND IT WAS BACK TO NORMAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME THREE TIMES SO FAR. I HAVE A NEWBORN AND CANNOT RISK BRAKE PROBLEMS. I CHECKED AND MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL, HOWEVER, DODGE JOURNEYS BETWEEN 2012 AND 2015 HAVE RECALLS. MINE IS A 2013 BUT NO RECALL. IS THIS THE SAME ISSUE? AND IF SO, WHY DO I NOT HAVE A RECALL ON MINE?.
