The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Magnum. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle failed to release and shift out of park(P). There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to Customer Satisfaction Notification: K39 (Transmission Shift Interlock Lever). The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed there was no coverage for the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

Airbag lights suddenly always on. Unknown if they are working or about to deploy. Hesitation in transmission while shifting, not sure if working properly. I haven't had any recalls fixed on this vehicle. It showed recalls and suddenly it shows all repaired. Is it due to the year?2005? Seat belts don't retract and are have to be manually maneuvered.

The vehicle stalled during normal use traveling about 35 miles an hour right after an intersection. MY husband was able to safely make it off the road as we live in a small town he did this by feathering the accelerator pedal. He is a mechanic so he was able to get it home by lightly tapping the pedal. If he pressed the pedal too hard the car stalled without warning so he lightly tapped on it and made it 2 blocks to our home where it has set in the driveway ever since. We spent over $1000 replacing parts such as the throttle body and the fuel pump and sending unit, egr, pcv, crankshaft sensor, plugs,injectors, intake seals, air intake temperature sensor and throttle body which include the throttle position sensor. Before we went for the cam sensor I decided to look up the issue and found so many with the same problem as us. We are veterans on a semi fixed income with a 10 month old daughter and this is our only vehicle we live in a super hot place in northern Arizona and can not afford further repairs as every part seems to be quite expensive. I don't have the fear of it dying while transporting my daughter again as it won't even stay started since the first incident. Additionally there are no codes or dash indicator lights staying on. We will be contacting Dodge in Kingman Arizona today.

NOTICED WITH CERTAIN SPEEDS AND RPM RANGES, TRANSMISSION (42RLE) WILL HAVE VERY HARD UPSHIFT (FEELS ALMOST LIKE I'M BEING REAR ENDED) AND LACK POWER COMPARED TO OTHER TIMES. AS DISCUSSED IN A FORUM, OTHERS HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH AND/OR THE PCM PROGRAMMING THAT MAKES THE TRANSMISSION BEHAVE IN THIS WAY. I TAKE CARE OF MY VEHICLE AND PERFORM REGULAR MAINTENANCE. EVEN AFTER TRANSMISSION FLUSHES, PROBLEM IS STILL PRESENT.

I HAVE TO PUMP BRAKE PEDAL ABOUT 4 TO 5 TIMES BEFORE IT WOULD GO INTO GEAR. 2) RECEIVED AIRBAG RECALL AND CALLED FINNEGAN DODGE, AND DROPPED OFF VEHICLE ON 6-22-15. MILEAGE WAS 82,058. DEALER STATED THEY REPLACED DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATER AND TESTED THE SYSTEM. I PICKED UP CAR ON 6-23-15 AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT STARTED COMING ON AT ANY GIVEN TIME WHETHER THERE WAS A PASSENGER OR NOT. I DID NOT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS UNTIL AIRBAG WORK WAS DONE. CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND SAID SOMEONE WILL CALL BACK, BUT NEVER DID. I CALLED ON 7-24-15, AND THEY SCHEDULED ME TO BRING THE CAR BACK ON 8-5-15. HOPEFULLY, THEY WON'T CHARGE ME FOR THEIR MESS-UP. AFTER MANY CONVERSATIONS WITH CHRYSLER ASSOCIATES, AND MANY INTERNET SEARCHES...THERE IS AN ON GOING PROBLEM WITH THE 2005 DODGE MAGNUM AWD SYSTEMS. APPARENTLY DODGE USED A FRICTION DISK SETUP IN THE TRANSFER CASE, AFTER TIME THE LEFT OVER DEBRIS AND MINERALS CLOG THE DISKS AND CAUSE A HORRIBLE SHUTTER AT LOW SPEEDS DURING "PARKING LOT MANEUVERS." THIS ISSUE WAS RESOLVED IN LATER YEARS, BUT I SEE IT RIDICULOUS THAT JUST ABOUT EVERY 2005 AWD IS AFFECTED BY THIS AND THIS IS LISTED AS A TSB AND NOT A RECALL. CHRYSLER VEHICLES, DODGE MAGNUM, DODGE CHARGER AND CHRYSLER 300 HAVE AN ISSUE THAT CAUSES THE SHIFTER TO GET STUCK IN PARK, AND WILL NOT SHIFT. THIS LEAVES MANY DRIVERS STRANDED CAUSES THEM TO NEED TOWING ASSISTANCE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE MOVED. I WAS STUCK AND NEEDED A TOW AND THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER INFORMED ME THAT MINE WAS THE SIXTH ONE HE HAD DONE THAT DAY. MY INSURANCE COMPANY INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE CHRYSLER VEHICLES. THE ISSUE HAPPENS TO MANY VEHICLES MOST OF WHICH WERE NOT COVERED UNDER CHRYSLERS K39 RECALL. CHRYSLER DID SOME MANEUVERING TO GET OUT OF COVERING ALL THE CARS AFFECTED WITH THE ISSUE. THE ISSUE IS FOR A FAULTY PART IN THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY OF CARS FROM 2005-2007. I ALSO CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY KNEW OF THE PROBLEM, BUT THAT MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED - ONLY CERTAIN VIN'S ARE COVERED. IF THERE ARE 100'S OF CARS JUST IN MY SMALL LOCATION, THERE MUST BE 1000'S, IF NOT TENS OF THOUSANDS AFFECTED VEHICLES NATION WIDE. I FOUND OUT LATER, FROM A CAR FORUM, THAT THE 5.7 LITER DODGES HAVE A RASH OF ISSUES WHERE THE CHECK VALVE THAT IS PART OF THE FUEL TANK FAILS AND CAUSES THE EMISSION SYSTEM TO GET WET AND THE COMPUTER GETS CONFUSED SIGNALS CAUSING THE CAR TO STALL (SHORTLY AFTER FILLING THE TANK). AFTER STARTING MY CAR, I ATTEMPTED (WITHOUT SUCCESS) TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK LEVER (AS CHRYSLER CALLS IT) HAD BROKEN AND LOCKED THE SHIFTER IN PARK. I FORTUNATELY HAD TOOLS IN THE BACK AND WAS ABLE TO DISASSEMBLE THE CENTER CONSOLE AND GET THE CAR MOVING AGAIN. MY 2005 DODGE MAGNUM WILL SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THIS WAS FOUND AFTER PARKING IT AT HOME AND TRYING TO LEAVE FOR WORK. WAS TOLD THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR AND DODGE HAS NO RECALL FOR THIS KNOWN PROBLEM. I HAD TO PAY OVER $450 TO HAVE CAR REPAIRED OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. DODGE CALLS THIS A SAFETY INTERLOCK PROBLEM. A PLASTIC PINK PIECE THAT BREAKS AND YOU HAVE TO BUY A WHOLE SHIFTER NOT JUST THE 29 CENT PIECE OF PLASTIC. *TR

THINGS SUCH AS HAIR, LIQUIDS, DUST, DIRT AND OTHER DEBRIS FALLS DOWN INTO THE GEAR SHIFTER OF THE DODGE MODEL CARS CAUSES SHIFTER PROBLEMS. THE GEAR SHIFTER WILL LOCK IN PARK, AND WILL NOT MOVE TO ANY OF THE OTHER GEARS. DODGE SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER CONFIRMS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN ALL OF THE DODGE MODEL CARS. THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THE FAILURE PERMANENTLY IS TO REPLACE THE GEAR SHIFTER. THIS CAN COST ANYWHERE FROM THE LOW END OF $325 TO HIGH END $425 INCLUDING PARTS AND LABOR. TO FORCE THE CAR TO SHIFT GEARS YOU WILL HAVE TO MANUALLY REMOVE THE CONSOLE OVER THE SHIFTER AND MANUALLY SHIFT WHICH USES THE GEARS FROM UNDER THE DASHBOARD. ON 5/31/2010 I DROVE OUR 2005 DODGE MAGNUM 2.7 ENGINE TO THE MALL WITH MY DAUGHTERS. UPON LEAVING THE MALL WE ENTERED THE VEHICLE. I THEN STARTED THE VEHICLE AND PROCEEDED TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO DRIVE. I FOUND THE OVERRIDE SWITCH AND IT DID NOT WORK EITHER. WE ENDED UP HAVE TO CALL TOW TRUCK AND MY CHILDREN AND I HAD TO FIND TRANSPORTATION HOME. A MECHANIC WAS ABLE TO LOOK IN THE GEAR BOX AND HE POINTED OUT THE THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW WHICH ALLOWS THE SHIFT PIECE TO LOCK ITSELF IN PLACE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LOCK ITSELF IN THE PARK POSITION. HE WAS ABLE TO RIG THE VEHICLE SO THAT IT CAN BE DRIVEN BUT ONLY IF I DON'T PUT IT IN PARK. WHICH MEANS I MUST PARK THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND MAKE SURE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IS ON. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 DODGE MAGNUM. WHILE PARKED, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY ON ITS OWN. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN PARK AND ATTEMPTED TO ROLL AWAY AGAIN. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO CHASE THE VEHICLE DOWN TO STOP IT FROM ROLLING INTO TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 05V460000 (POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION); HOWEVER, THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WERE TOO MANY VEHICLES TO SERVICE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO COME BACK ANOTHER DAY. WHEN THE CONTACT RETURNED TO THE DEALER, HE WAS INFORMED AGAIN THAT THE RECALL REPAIRS COULD NOT BE PERFORMED AND HE WOULD HAVE TO RESCHEDULE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 600.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE MAGNUM. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL LOOSENED AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTING BECAME VERY DIM. ON OCCASION, THE CONTACT SMELLED A BURNING ODOR INSIDE THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS PRIOR TO THE FAILURES BECAUSE THE WARNING LIGHT INDICATORS HAVE NEVER WORKED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE VEHICLE WOULD START ROUGHLY FROM TIME TO TIME. WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE SHUTTERS WHEN PROCEEDING TO TURN, THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, AND THE TRANSMISSION HESITATES INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE STEERING FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE FRONT SUSPENSION. THE MECHANIC REPLACED TWO CONTROL ARMS AND TIE RODS. A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,000. I AM JUST LUCKY THAT I HAVEN'T BEEN HIT FROM THIS STALLING PROBLEM. THIS IS THE 4 RECALL OF SOMETHING ON THIS CAR AND I AM VERY SORRY THAT I EVER BOUGHT THIS DODGE MAGNUM. *TR

VEHICLE: 2005 DODGE MAGNUM R/T WITH HEMI ENGINE WITH APPROX. 76,000 MILES (CAR PUT INTO SERVICE IN LATE SPRING '04). I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR STARTED WHINING -- LIKE IT WAS IN THE WRONG GEAR. I PULLED OVER, COULDN'T HEAR ANYTHING AND GOT BACK ON THE ROAD -- EVERYTHING SOUND OKAY. THE NEXT MORNING, AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 1 MILE, THE SAME THING OCCURRED -- I WAS GOING ABOUT 55-60 MILES PER HOUR. AFTER I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND BACK INTO DRIVE, EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE OKAY. THE NEXT DAY, THE ENGINE/TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THE CAR AGAIN SOUNDED FUNNY, BUT NOW IF I SLOWED DOWN OR STOPPED THE VEHICLE (LIKE FOR A STOP LIGHT), THE CAR SOUNDED AS IF IT WAS STILL IN FOURTH OR FIFTH GEAR WHEN I PUT ON THE GAS. I TOOK THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY AND WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE TRANSMISSION WIRING HARNESS WAS SO BURNED UP THAT TECHNICIANS COULD NOT GET A READ OUT FROM ANY OF THE ASSOCIATED COMPUTERS TO DETERMINE WHAT THE ERROR CODES WERE RELATING TO MY TRANSMISSION/ENGINE. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT IT COULD NOT BE DETERMINED WHAT CAUSED THE HARNESS TO MELT THE WIRING. CHRYSLER REFUSES TO EXPLORE CAUSE OR TO PAY FOR REPAIR. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER AND I JUST GOT LUCKY BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. *TR

THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO THAT IN THE RECALL FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND BATTERY FOR HER YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL; HOWEVER, HER VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. SHE STATED THAT HER VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALER FOR THREE WEEKS AS OF DECEMBER 4, 2007. NO REMEDY HAS YET BEEN FOUND FOR HER VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT ASSIST BECAUSE HER VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL. THEY ALSO INFORMED HER THAT SHE MUST SUBMIT A PAYMENT OF $150 TO CHARGE THE BATTERY AND DETERMINE WHAT IS CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE VIN, ENGINE SIZE, AND RECALL NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN. THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAG LIGHT AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER, WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER CHANGED THE THROTTLE BODY AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. THE VEHICLE PERFORMED WELL FOR APPROXIMATELY 3,000 MILES. ON DEC 22, 2006 THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER AND BECAUSE THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE DEALER CAME AND TOWED THE VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS CHANGED. THE CONTACT WAS CALLED ON DEC 28, 2006, AND WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE WAS READY. THE CONTACT PICKED UP THE VEHICLE AND WITHIN THREE MILES OF LEAVING THE DEALER, THE CONTACT ACCELERATED AND THE VEHICLE DROPPED TO FIRST GEAR. THE TRAFFIC WAS HEAVY AND THE CONTACT CAN NOT REMEMBER IF ANY WARNING LIGHTS TURNED ON. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT REMAINED. ONE MONTH LATER, THE PROBLEM RETURNED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE CONTACT IS UNAWARE OF THE REPAIRS BEING PERFORMED.

HAVE BEEN BACK TO THE SHOP JAN. 17 AND A FEW MORE TIMES SINCE THEN FOR THE SAME REASONS ONLY NOW MY KEY STILL WON'T WORK BUT WON'T GO IN KEYHOLE EITHER THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING. IT IS IN THE SHOP NOW AND HAS BEEN THERE SINCE SATURDAY I CANNOT CONTINUE TO PAY FOR A CAR THAT ME AND MY CHILDREN ARE NOT SAFE IN. I HAVE CALLED THE 1800 # FOR DODGE AND AM WAITING FOR A RESPONSE I AM ALSO MAKING A COMPLAINT WITH THE TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL AND ALSO THE TXDOT MOTOR VEHICLE BOARD SINCE THE BBB DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPLAINT. THESE PROBLEMS ARE RECURRING PROBLEMS THAT THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE I HAVE TRIED TO GIVE THEM A WRITTEN COMPLAINT BUT THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT IT AS TO THERE ATTORNEY DID NOT WRITE IT I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY JUST A CONSUMER WHY WOULDN'T THEY ACCEPT MY LETTER I HAVE IT HERE ALONG WITH ALL WORK ORDERS AND STILL NO HELP. GREAT NOW WE ARE BUYING CARS FROM LIARS AND THE MANGERS OF THIS CAR LOT WONT ACKNOWLEDGE ME OR MY PROBLEM HE SENDS A CAR SALESMAN TO ME I DON'T WANT TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEM WITH A SALESMAN I WANT AN OWNER A MANAGER OR EVEN THE MANUFACTURER BUT NO THEY HIDE. 2005 DODGE MAGNUM MAKE S A BUZZING NOISE FROM THE TRUNK AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. *TS ***NAR*** THE CONSUMER NOTICED THE INNER PANELING AROUND THE HATCH DOOR WAS NOT CUT PROPERLY. ONE SIDE WAS FLUSH, INSIDE THE GROOVE AND THE OTHER SIDE WAS SLIGHTLY SEPARATED, WHICH CAUSED THE VIBRATION. THE CONSUMER PLACED SMALL PIECES OF CUSHION INSIDE THE OPEN AREAS TO HOLD THE PANEL STEADY. THE FABRIC MOLDING AROUND THE WINDOW WAS SAGGING. THE WINDOW CONTROLS ON THE REAR LEFT SIDE SUNK INTO THE DOOR AND THE WINDOW LOCKED ON ITS OWN. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO HAVE A RECALL REPAIR PERFORMED REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION AND THE DEALER HAD THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE ALL DAY AND FAILED TO INFORM THEM THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET TO THEIR VEHICLE. *JB

DT: THE CONSUMER HAS A NEW DODGE MAGNUM WITH LESS THAN 2,000 MILES ON IT AND THE TIRES ARE SHOWING TREAD WEAR. SPECIFICALLY THE FRONT TWO TIRES ON THE OUTER EDGE. THE CONSUMER HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER IN WHICH THEY REALIGNED AND ROTATED THE TIRES FROM SIDE TO SIDE. DT: THE CONSUMER STATES THAT 2005 DODGE MAGNUM RT HAS BEEN STALLING AND PULLING TO THE RIGHT. THE CONSUMER SAYS THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT 35-65 MPH. THE VEHICLE STALLED NINE TIMES. THE CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIPS TOLD THE CONSUMER TO TAKE IT TO OTHER DEALERSHIPS. CHRYSLER TOLD THE CONSUMER TO GO TO GLOVE BOX AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO FILE FOR THE LEMON LAW. THE CAR PULLED TO THE RIGHT HEAVILY. THE CONSUMER SAID THAT ARM WAS SORE FROM PULLING AT THE STEERING WHEEL AND TRYING TO KEEP IT ON THE ROAD. THE CONSUMER SAYS THAT CHRYSLER REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. TRANSMISSION IS MAKING A THUMPING SOUND. THE ESP WARNING LIGHT IS COMING ON AND STAYING ON. THE LIGHT CAME ON FOUR TIMES. *AK

I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON APRIL 4, 2005 AND HAD THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND VALVE BODY REPLACED ON APRIL 17, 2005. HARD SHIFT INTO GEAR IN THE TRANSMISSION AND ONE DAY WAS DRIVING AT 50 MPH AND THE TRANSMISSION CAME OUT OF GEAR AND THEN WENT BACK INTO GEAR. THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS I HAD MY 5 AND 6 YEAR OLD CHILDREN IN THE CAR. I BELIEVE THIS NEEDS RECALLED. I HAVE HAD MY CAR IN THE DEALERSHIP 8 TIMES TO TRY TO FIX THE ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THE SHOP MANAGER THE GENERAL MANAGER AND THE TRANSMISSION TECH TELL ME THIS CAR IS NOT NORMAL BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START. THEY HAD A REPRESENTATIVE FROM CHRYSLER COME OUT AND LOOK AT IT AND HE DEEMED IT NORMAL. I AM STUCK AND AM GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND FILE UNDER IND. LEMON LAW TO GET ANY RESOLUTION. I BOUGHT A 2005 DODGE MAGNUM ON APRIL 9. ON APRIL 15 I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE STOPPED AT RED LIGHT. WHEN I TOOK OFF THE CAR WAS SLUGGISH AND WOULD NOT CHANGE GEARS. THE CAR WAS STUCK IN SECOND GEAR. THE DEALER HAD THE CAR FROM APRIL 15 UNTIL APRIL 29. THEY NEVER DID EXPLAIN WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM. I CAN'T TELL YOU WHAT ALL THEY REPLACED BECAUSE MY CAR IS IN THE SHOP NOW. THIS HAPPENED IN JUNE JULY AND AUGUST ALL UNDER THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND A MAN NAMED LARRY MCCLAIN CONTACTED ME. HE WAS IN TOUCH WITH THE DEALER EVERY TIME THEY HAD THE CAR. HE ALWAYS RETURNED MY CALL UNTIL THIS TIME WHEN I SAID THE CAR FELL UNDER THE NC LEMON LAW. EACH TIME THE DEALER HAS HAD THE CAR IT WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT REPLACED. I WAS TOLD THE THIRD TIME THAT A SERVICE BULLETIN HAD BEEN ISSUED BECAUSE MOISTURE COULD BUILD UP IN A SOLENOID IN THE TRANSMISSION AND CAUSE IT TO FAIL. THIS IS WHAT THEY REPLACED THE THIRD TIME. THIS TIME I HAVE NO IDEA BECAUSE NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK. ALL I WAS TOLD TODAY WHEN I WENT BY THERE WAS THE PART THEY REPLACED DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP IS ANDERSON'S IN WAYNESVILLE. I BOUGHT THE CAR AT THOMAS HLL BURGIN IN KODAK TN AND I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THE GENERAL MANAGER GENE MORRIS BUT HE WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS EITHER. NO ONE WILL HELP ME.*JB

2005 DODGE MAGNUM - TRANSMISSION FAILURE 2 TIMES IN 1 WEEK. KNOWN ISSUE WITH DODGE - SERVICE BULLETIN ISSUED. TRANSMISSION WAS REPAIRED AS PER BULLETIN - PICKED UP CAR FROM DODGE REPAIR, JASPER DODGE, JASPER ALABAMA, DROVE 115 MILES WITH 3 YEAR OLD AND 7 YEAR OLD IN VEHICLE AND TRANSMISSION SHUT DOWN DOING 70 MPH ON HWY 78. COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL. SINCE THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE AND SINCE IT APPEARS THAT THEIR SERVICE REPAIR FAILED TO RESOLVE PROBLEM - I PERSONALLY FEEL THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE A FATAL ACCIDENT OCCURS. AT 70 MPH VEHICHLE JUST LOST ALL POWER. HAD I BEEN IN A MAJOR METROPOLITAN AREA, I MAY NOT HAVE BEEN SO LUCKY.

THE TRANSMISSION IN MY 2005 DODGE MAGNUM HAS STUTTERED, CLUNKED, VIBRATED, AND SURGED SINCE THE 3RD WEEK I HAD IT. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES FOR A TOTAL OF 15 DAYS SO FAR FOR THIS PROBLEM. MY DEALER CALLED STAR HOTLINE AND WERE TOLD THAT THERE IS NO FLASH FOR THIS PROBLEM, AND THAT I NEED TO DRIVE MORE AGGRESSIVELY (LIKE I CAN DRIVE 80 IN A 35 MPH ZONE!) OR JUST LIVE WITH IT. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER HAVE TOLD ME THEY CANNOT HELP ME. IT HAS ALSO BEEN REALIGNED ONCE FOR PULLING TO THE RIGHT, AND NOW IT IS PULLING TO THE RIGHT AGAIN.
