THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND IS STAYING ON AT ALL TIMES. ALSO THE HORN DOES NOT WORK THROUGH THE COLUMN.

SINCE OWNING THIS CAR I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FROM 0 TO 36,000 MILES MOST WERE MINOR AND WERE TAKEN CARE OF BY THE DEALER (ALTHOUGHI HAD TO TELL THEM WHAT WAS WRONG - THEY REPLACED THE WRONG PARTS THE FIRST TIME!). UNFORTUNATELY, MOST OF THE PROBLEMS OCCURED AFTER 36,000 MILES WERE ON THE ODOMETER AND CHRYSLER HAS NOT BEEN TOO RESPONSIVE TO MY REQUESTS FOR ASSISTNACE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THAT THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO FIX IT BUT WHO WANTS TO PAY $75.00 SO THAT A TECHNICIAN CAN LEARN TO FIX MY CAR. IN FRUSTRATION, I HAVE PURCHASED A SHOP MANUAL AND HAVE STARTED TO REPAIR THESE PROBLEMS MYSELF. MY SUN ROOF NEEDS A 10 CENT PLASTIC PART WHICH CHRYSLER DOES NOT STOCK SO IN ORDER TO GET IT I NEED A NEW $500 SUNROOF MECHANISM! NOW, MY TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT PROPERLY (IN ALL GEARS) AND I EITHER NEED TO REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION, REPLACE THE CLUTCH OR THE CLUTCH CABLE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATOIN ON MY SAGA PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME.

WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH BROADSIDED ANOTHER VEHICLE, AND NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOYED. DRIVER HIT HEAD ON REARVIEW MIRROR, AND PASSENGER ON WINDSHIELD. PASSENGER WAS SUFFERING NUMBNESS AND TINGLING OF LOWER PART OF BODY. DAMAGE TO VEHICLE UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME.*AK

WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30 MPH REAR ENDED A VEHICLE THAT WAS IN FRONT, AND AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION OF 50MPH IMPACT, AND BOTH AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *AK *TT
CONSUMER AND A PASSENGER HAD A HEAD ON COLLISON AND AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, SOME INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. *AK *ML
WHILE DRIVING ON A MAIN STREET, TRAVELING 45MPH CONSUMER REARENDED VEHICLE IN FRONT, AND NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOYED. CONTACTED DEALER AND MANUFACTURER.*AK
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HWY @ APPRO 70 MPH, THE STEERING COLUMN STARTED TO SHIMMY, AND MY FRONT PASSANGER BLEW. I LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND LANDED IN THE MEDIAN IN APPROX 3 FEET OF WATER. HAD TO TOW THE CAR FOR 50 MILES, BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD THAT THE "BEAD BROKE ON THE TIRE, DUE TO IMPROPER MOUNTING AT THE TIME OF MANUFACTURING." THEN ALMOST IN THE SAME BREATH, I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS MY FAULT, MY TIRE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER "ROAD HAZARD OR WEAR AND TEAR ON THE TIRE". I WAS THEN TOLD TO TURN IT INTO MY INSURANCE COMPANY, WHICH I DID, AFTER LOSING MY JOB FOR LACK OF TRANSPORTATION. I FILED A DEFECT COMPLAINT WITH GOODYEAR, AND CHRYSLER. CHRYSLER TOLD ME IT WAS UP TO GOODYEAR, WHO IN TURN DENIED MY CLAIM 3 HOURS LATER AFTER I FILED. MY INSURANCE COMPANY TOTALED OUT THE VEHICLE, AND LEFT ME WITH A $400 BALANCE STILL TO PAY ON MY LOAN FOR THE CAR. I UNDERSTAND THAT IN 1997, BOTH MANUFACTURES INVOLVED WERE FORCED TO RECALL APPROX 40,000+ VEHICLES DUE TO THE SAME PROBLEM. EVEN THOUGH I WAS NOT PHYSICALLY HURT, THE AMOUNT OF STRESS BOTH FINANCIALY AND MENTALLY HAS BEEN ENORMOUS. PLEASE ADVISE ME ASAP OF WHAT I CAN DO. *AK( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: P185/65R14 )
