The contact owns a 2007 Ram 1500. The contact stated while her son was driving approximately 70 MPH, the driver’s side front wheel suddenly separated from the vehicle causing the driver to nearly loses control of the vehicle before eventually stopping the vehicle. During the incident, no injuries were reported. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the axle had fractured. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, the local dealer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,200.

UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE COUPLER BETWEEN THE CENTER LINK AND THE TIE ROD END WAS DAMAGED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED OVER ANY SIZE BUMP, FRONT END MAKES SIGNIFICANT CLANK, BANG, WOBBLE NOISE. CAN'T LOCATE ISSUE, NOTHING IS LOOSE. REPLACED STRUTS, PROBLEM PERSISTS. SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM FRONT PASSENGER STEERING/SUSPENSION AREA. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, SIGNIFICANT SHAKING WHILE BRAKING. SEVERAL OBD CODES; IMPROPER OIL WEIGHT, HAVE USED MANUFACTURE RECOMMENDED OIL FOR EVERY OIL CHANGE. OIL IS CHANGED EVERY 6000 MILES OR 3MONTHS. OBD CODE; LOW VOLTAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO VERIFY IF THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09E001000 (STEERING) BECAUSE THE COMPUTERS WERE DOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000.

I'M NOT STARTING FROM THE COMPLETE BEGINNING I'M STARTING FROM WHEN IT PLACE THE WORST TOOK TO DODGE CUZ I HAD DYING PROBLEMS STALLING OUT IF I WAS DRIVING TO AND FROM WORK MIND YOU I DRIVE 600 MILES AT A TIME ONE DIRECTION WAY HOME ONE NIGHT VEHICLE STALLS OUT PULLED TO SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE THE VEHICLE STARTS BACK GET DOWN THE ROAD AND IT JUST STUTTERS A LITTLE SO I KEEP GOING GET DONE WITH A LITTLE FURTHER THEY COMPLETELY DIES WHILE I'M GOING THROUGH NORTH CAROLINA TO TENNESSEE THE GORGE AS THEY CALL IT NO PLACE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SEMI BESIDE ME SEMI BEHIND ME NO PULL OFF TO THE LEFT EITHER HIT A POT HOLE TRUCK DIES LUCKILY IN RUNNING ABOUT 90 MILE AN HOUR PUT THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL CRANK IT NO CRANK NO START CRANK IT AGAIN IT STARTS POPPING IN GEAR SCARED AS HELL GET TO THE NEAREST GAS STATION IN WORRIES THAT SOMETHING ELSE IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE TRUCK TRYING TO MAKE TO SAFE PLACE I FINALLY MAKE IT HOME TRUCK DID THAT COUPLE MORE TIMES ON THE WAY AND STALL OUT. I TOOK IT TO DODGE AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE TIPM WELL HAVE THEM FIX IT GOT THE TRUCK BACK NO FIX THERE THEY DID GET TWO CODES FOR THE TIPM PROBLEM ON THAT DAY ENDED UP BEING THE IGNITION COILS ALL OF THEM HAD TO BE REPLACED PRIOR TO ALL THIS I HAD ALREADY BEEN HAVING STALLING PROBLEM NOT DYING CHRYSLER DEALER IN GREENSBORO NORTH CAROLINA LOOK AT MY TRUCK FAN DIAGNOSTIC SAID IT WAS LOW AMPERAGE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT CAN'T REMEMBER YOU CAN GET AHOLD OF HIM IF YOU WOULD LIKE SO THEY SAID REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR AND THE BATTERY SO I DID THEN THE STORY I JUST STATED TOOK PLACE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. PREVIOUSLY, THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY ALSO FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THAT TIME. THE CONTACT LATER OBSERVED A PUDDLE OF AN UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V528000 (STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17,000. SOUNDS LIKE IT'S GOING TO START ON FIRE. I HAVE TO GET TO WORK SO I HAVE TO DRIVE IT.(I HAVE FIVE KIDS A CRABBY WIFE AND A GRANDDAUGHTER TO FEED), TIE ROD ON DRIVERS SIDE WENT BAD. SO I HAD EVERYTHING REPLACED. I'VE SUNK ALLOT OF $$ INTO IT AND CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER PENNY. I'M CONCERNED OF ALL THE COMPLAINTS SAYING THE COMPUTER GOES BAD CAUSING THE ACTUATOR TO GO BAD AS WELL. THE CONTACT ALSO INDICATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD DRIFT FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND WAS VERY UNSTABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND REPAIRED. NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.

THE TRUCK BOUNCED ALL OVER THE ROAD SINCE THE DAY OF PURCHASE. WAS TOLD BY DODGE THAT'S THE WAY THEY HANDLE. THE TRUCK IS VERY UNSTABLE AND VIBRATES AT SLOW AND FAST SPEEDS. HAD TIRES AND WHEELS BALANCED MANY TIMES. NEW TIRES INSTALLED. MANY ALIGNMENTS AND STILL THE PROBLEMS PERSISTED. AIR PRESSURE ALWAYS CORRECT. WHEN HITTING A SMALL BUMP IN THE HIGHWAY, IT WOULD SEND A SHOCKWAVE THROUGH THE ENTIRE TRUCK SUSPENSION. THE VEHICLE BECOMES UNCONTROLLABLE. HAD THE TRUCK TO MANY DIFFERENT DEALERS TO CHECK THE SUSPENSION, DRIVETRAIN, AND STEERING, THEY HAVE FOUND NO ISSUES. THIS PROBLEM HAS TO BE A DESIGN FLAW OR A WEAKNESS IN THE TRUCK SUSPENSION. I REPORTED THESE PROBLEMS YEARS AGO TO THIS AGENCY WITH NO RESULTING ACTION.

I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK BRAND NEW IN 07. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE FRONT END FROM DAY ONE. I TOOK IT IN TO THE SHOP 3 OR FOR TIMES WHEN UNDER WARRANTY FOR THEM TO TELL ME NOTHING WAS WRONG. THE SET OF TIRES I HAVE ON IT IS THE FORTH SET DUE TO WEARING OUT. THE TRUCK PULLS HARD TO THE RIGHT, TOOK IT IN FOR AN ALIGNMENT AND WAS TOLD IT WASN'T OUT & THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE FRONT END. THIS WASN'T A DODGE DEALER. WHEN YOU GET UP TO 60 MPH, THE TRUCK STARTS SHAKING VERY BAD. IF I HIT A BUMP OR GO ACROSS A BRIDGE, IT JERKS THE STEERING WHEEL VERY BAD & ALMOST CAUSED A WRECK. I HAVE REPLACED THE SHOCKS, THE BUSHING'S ON THE SWAY BAR, & BRAKES AND ROTORS THINKING THIS COULD MAYBE BE THE PROBLEM. IT STILL DOES IT TILL THIS DAY. I SEEN WHERE SOME 07 MEGA CABS HAVE BEEN RECALLED & IN MY OPINION I THINK THEY NEED TO TAKE A LOOK AT ALL 07 DODGE RAM 1500 MODELS.

WHILE DRIVING DURING NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE WILL BEGIN TO SHAKE AND VIBRATE EXCESSIVELY. THIS USUALLY OCCURS WHEN A BUMP IN THE ROAD IS HIT OR WHEN TAKING A CURVE IN THE ROAD AT THE MENTIONED SPEED. SHAKING AND VIBRATING ONLY DECREASES WHEN VEHICLE SPEED IS REDUCED BELOW 50 MPH. HAVE REPLACED SHOCKS AND IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING TIE ROD ENDS TO SEE IF THIS ALLEVIATES THE ISSUE. HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE SHUTTING OFF DURING NORMAL OPERATION, THE WILL SPUTTER AND STALL OUT WHEN COMING TO A STOP, THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED FOUR TIMES IN THE PAST

AS A RESULT, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE DISENGAGED FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT AXLE FRACTURED. WHEN HE SLOWED DOWN FROM 65 TO AROUND 50 MILES AN HOUR THE SHAKING STOPPED. AS HE STARTED TO PICK UP SPEED AGAIN IT STARTED AGAIN. THE SHAKING WAS SO VIOLENT IT FELT AS THE TRUCK WOULD FLIP. AS WE WERE TRYING TO FIND AN EXIT TO GET OFF THE INTERSTATE WE CROSSED A BRIDGE WHICH WAS UNEVEN AND CAUSED THE SHAKING TO BEGIN AGAIN. WHILE HEADING BACK HOME IT HAPPENED A FEW MORE TIMES EITHER WHEN HE GOT UP TO A CERTAIN SPEED OR HIT AN UNEVEN PLACE IN THE ROAD. THE SHAKE WAS FRIGHTENING AND IT MADE THE TRUCK HARD TO MAINTAIN CONTROL TO THE POINT IT FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO FLIP. IT WAS A TRUE 'DEATH WOBBLE'. AFTER 3 MONTHS AND 2 TIMES IN THE SHOP WITH VARIOUS FRONT-END PARTS REPLACED AND OVER $1000.00 SPENT THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. AFTER I SLID TO A STOP (WITHOUT HITTING ANYTHING), I GOT OUT AND LOOKED AT THE DAMAGE. IT BENT THE TIE ROD, PULLED THE 4WD SHAFT APART, ETC. THE DEALER LOOKED AT THE TRUCK ON FRIDAY AND SAID IT WOULD BE APROX. $2K TO REPAIR IT BUT THE LEFT SIDE WAS ALSO LOOSE. I CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD, "NOTHING WE CAN DO, IT'S AFTER THE FACTORY WARRANTY". I FOUND AN ONLINE COMPLAINT FORM AND FILLED IT OUT. CHRYSLER AND THE DEALER TALKED AND AS OF 1/19/2012, THE TOTAL ESTIMATE WAS SENT TO DODGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $3000.00. CUSTOMER SERVICE CALLED ON 1/23 AND SAID THAT THE DEALER HAS AGREED TO DROP THE PRICE BY $500 AND THAT DODGE WOULD PAY AN ADDITIONAL $500 LEAVING ME TO PAY $2000. I TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE BASED ON THE CONDITION OF THE TRUCK, THE YEAR, AND THE MILES. I HAVE NEVER HAD A BALL JOINT FAILURE AT 56,000 MILES (I.E.-SINCE '94, I HAVE HAD OVER 300,000 MILES ON GM VEHICLES AND BALL JOINTS HAVE NEVER BEEN REPLACED). THE TRUCK IS STILL SITTING AT THE DEALER WITHOUT ANY REPAIR DONE YET. I EMAILED CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY AND RECEIVED A RESPONSE SAYING THAT THE OFFER STANDS AS IS. IN MY OPINION, IT IS A MANUFACTURER ISSUE. I HAVE CONTACTED AN ATTORNEY TO SEE WHAT MY NEXT STEP SHOULD BE. EVEN IF IT GETS REPLACED, OEM PARTS WILL BE INSTALLED AND I WILL HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE FRONT END FAILING AGAIN POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY. I OWN A 2007 DODGE MEGA CAB 1500. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW AND HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE ALMOST FROM THE BEGINNING. THIS WOBBLE HAS NOT JUST HAPPENED A COUPLE TIMES, IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME IT IS DRIVEN. I HAVE TRIED TO GET THE DEATH WOBBLE FIXED SEVERAL TIMES. EACH TIME I WAS TOLD IT WAS FIXED BUT FOR ME TO DO SOMETHING ELSE TOO. I HAVE ADDED A LEVELING KIT, REPLACED TIRES TO THE SHOPS SPECS, SHOCKS, FRONT STEERING STABILIZER AND ALL OF THE WORK THE DODGE SHOP HAS DONE. THE MOST RECENT EVENT IS THAT I PICKED UP MY TRUCK FROM THE DEALER TODAY FROM IT BEING IN THE SHOP FOR THE SAME REASON I HAD IT IN THE SHOP 4 OTHER TIMES. I WAS TOLD THE WHOLE FRONT END WAS FIXED AND PROMISED THE PROBLEM WAS TAKEN CARE OF. I PAID THE BILL AND LEFT. I WAS 20 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP AND IT STARTED AGAIN. I PULLED OVER AND CALLED THE DEALER. I WAS TOLD NO ONE WAS IN SERVICE EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT CLOSE FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES AND TO BRING THE TRUCK BACK. THE TRUCK HAD ALREADY BEEN THERE FOR ALMOST A MONTH. I TURNED AROUND TO GO BACK TO THE DEALER MY WIFE WAS IN FRONT OF ME IN HER VEHICLE AND THE WOBBLE STARTED AGAIN. SHE MOVED OVER 3 LANES OF HIGHWAY BECAUSE SHE THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO FLIP THE TRUCK. THE FRONT RIGHT TIRE APPEARED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO SHAKE RIGHT OFF. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE ONLY THING THEY COULD DO WAS HAVE ME LEAVE IT AGAIN AND SOMEONE WOULD LOOK AT IT TOMORROW. SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE SEVERALLY HURT WITH THIS PROBLEM. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN NOVEMBER OF 2010, THE TRUCK WAS INSPECTED, I DROVE THE TRUCK ON THE HIGHWAY, WAS DRIVING AT 100-120KM/HR THEN EXPERIENCE A SHAKING IN THE TRUCK, A VIOLENT SHAKING, MUCH MORE SEVERE THEN MISALIGNMENT OR PART WEAR. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK 10/29/10 WITH 22 K MILES ON IT AND HAVE 29950K NOW. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE FRONT END, RACK AND PINION STEERING SYSTEM TIE ROD ENDS, LEAKY BACK WINDOW, THIRD BRAKE LIGHT, BALANCE AND ROTATE TIRES 3 TIMES, RAIL DUST, NEW CARPET, LEAKY THIRD LIGHT, NEW ROTORS AND BRAKES AT 24K, AIR CLEANER, WIPERS. I QUESTIONED THE FRONT END WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND WAS TOLD IT AS JUST TIRES OUT OF BALANCE. WHEN I PICKED IT UP AND ASKED IF THE FRONT END LOOKED GOOD BECAUSE I NOTICED THE FRONT TIE ROD ENDS HAD A LOT OF PLAY AND I WAS CONCERNED WITH ISSUES DUE TO THAT. I WAS TOLD THE FRONT END WAS FINE NO PROBLEMS WITH IT. I LATER TOOK IT BACK AND HAD ALL THE FRONT STEERING COMPONENTS REPLACED. I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE AND HAD NO ALIGNMENT AND WAS TOLD THEY ONLY SET THE TOE. I HAD TO KEEP THE STEERING WHEEL A FULL HALF TURN TO THE LEFT TO GO STRAIGHT. I PAID FOR AN ALIGNMENT AND THE PRINTOUT SHOWED MY TOE WAS SET UNDER THE SPECIFICATIONS. I HAVE TIRED UNEVENLY WORN DUE TO BAD FRONT END COMPONENTS. I HAD TO HAVE THE FRONT HEAD LAMP REPLACED DUE TO CRACKING INSIDE THE LENS, A BACK SEAT THAT THE LATCH DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. AFTER PICKING UP THE VEHICLE BOLTS THAT NEEDED TIGHTENING DUE TO CARPET BEING REPLACED. I QUESTION HOW THIS VEHICLE WAS PROPERLY INSPECTED AND NONE OF THESE THINGS WERE NOTICED. I DRIVE MY DAUGHTER DAILY IN THIS VEHICLE AND IT REMAINS TO HAVE FRONT END PROBLEMS. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND NOTICED A LOT OF ISSUES WITH CRASHES RELATING TO FAULTY FRONT ENDS ON THESE VEHICLES. BOTH FRONT SHOCK/STRUTS HAVE COMPLETELY FAILED. THE OIL IS COMPLETELY DRAINED FROM BOTH. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND THEN THE PASSENGER SIDE FAILED, COATING THE BOTTOM OF MY TRUCK WITH OIL, AND LEAVING OIL SPOTS ON MY DRIVEWAY. THE DEALER CAN NOT GET THEM. I'VE CALLED AROUND THE COUNTRY LOOKING FOR THEM. ALL OF THE STRUTS I'VE FOUND ARE EARMARKED FOR OTHER CUSTOMER'S TRUCKS. I WAS TOLD THE STRUTS ARE ON NATIONAL BACKORDER WITH ONE DISTRIBUTION CENTER HOLDING A BALANCE OF -265. MEANING THERE ARE 265 STRUTS ON BACK ORDER. SO THERE ARE AT LEAST 132 TRUCKS OUT THERE WITHOUT FUNCTION FRONT STRUTS, ASSUMING BOTH STRUTS HAVE FAILED. I HAVE QUIT DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE DUE TO THE STEERING WANDER WHEN I DRIVE OVER A BUMP ETC... WHAT IS GOING ON? THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. ALSO, THE DEALER HAS BEEN AWESOME! I BOUGHT MY TRUCK USED IT HAD 24000 ON IT. BEFORE THE WARRANTY WAS OUT HAD IN SHOP FOR TRANNY PROBLEM THEY SAID IT WAS A SENSOR. THEY REPLACED THE SENSOR. NOT A MONTH LATER TOOK BACK FOR AC PROBLEM AND TRANNY STILL WAS NOT RIGHT. THEY HAD TO REPLACE ALL OF THE AC COMPONENTS UNDER DASH IT HAD COLLAPSED, $1800 WORTH OF PARTS. THEY COULD FIND ANYTHING ON TRANNY. I HAVE NOW HAD MY TRUCK A YEAR. THIS MONTH HAD TO HAVE FRONT SHOCKS REPLACED THEY LEAKED ALL OIL OUT AND FRONT BEARING REPLACED ON PASSENGER SIDE. $1000 LATER FRONT END IS STILL MAKING NOISE AND RIDES ROUGHER THAN BEFORE. THE TRANNY IS STILL GIVING PROBLEMS. NOW THE REAREND IS ALSO MAKING WHINING NOISE. THE TRUCK HAS ABOUT 80,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS MANY PROBLEMS OUT OF A VEHICLE WITH LESS THAN 100,000 MILES ON IT. I TRAVEL FOR A LIVING SO I HAVE PUT MANY MILES ON MANY VEHICLES. I NOTICE THE 06 MODELS HAVING RECALLS FOR BEARINGS AND BRAKE SYSTEM BUT NOTHING FOR 07. WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 65MPH, MY PASSENGER SIDE FRONT WHEEL CAME OFF THE VEHICLE. I WAS INVOLVED IN A SOLO SPINOUT, ACCIDENT DUE TO THE WHEEL COMING OFF. THE CAUSE WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE LOWER A-ARM OF THE SUSPENSION FAILING, AND LETTING THE BALL JOINT FALL OUT OF PLACE. WHEN THE WHEEL WAS RECOVERED FROM THE ACCIDENT, IT STILL HAD THE STABILIZERS ATTACHED, ALONG WITH THE BALL JOINT, AND VARIOUS PARTS OF THE STEERING, AND 4WD. THE ACCIDENT CAUSED ME TO HIT A GUARD RAIL AT 65MPH, AT A 45-DEGREE ANGLE. AMAZINGLY, MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY ON IMPACT. I SUFFERED WHIPLASH DUE TO THE IMPACT. I PURCHASED A DODGE RAM 1500 QUAD CAB HEMI 2007. IT CAME WITH GOODYEAR WRANGLER HP P275/60R20 TIRES. SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE I HAVE HAD MAJOR ISSUES WITH HYDROPLANING. EVEN IN THE LIGHTEST RAIN THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE WILL FISH TAIL AT IDLE SPEEDS. I CURRENTLY HAVE 25000 MILES ON THE TRUCK AND IT HAS BEEN USED TO TOW A TOTAL OF 2000 OF THOSE MILES. THE TIRES TREAD HAVE WARN SO BAD THAT THEY ARE DOWN TO 6/32 OF A TREAD LIFE. THE OTHER ISSUE WITH THIS TIRE WAS 3 SMALL ROCKS WENT IN BETWEEN THE TREAD AND PUNCTURED THE TIRE IN THREE LOCATIONS IN THE FLAT PART OF THE TREAD TO CAUSE THE TIRE TO HAVE A LEAK. THE TIRE SLOW LEAKED AIR TO 18 PSI WHERE THE PUNCTURES WOULD SEAL THEMSELVES FROM THE VEHICLE WEIGHT. SMALL ROCKS SHOULD NOT OF BEEN ABLE TO PUNCTURE THE TIRE BEING AN ON/OFF ROAD AGGRESSIVE TIRE. THIS TIRE ALSO SHOULD NOT HAVE ONLY 6/32 OF A TREAD LIFE AFTER 25000 MILES OF HIGHWAY MILES OVER 12 MONTHS. I CONTACTED GOODYEAR AND TOOK THE TIRES TO A GOODYEAR DEALER TO GET CHECKED AND WHEN I CALLED GOODYEAR THEY TOLD ME THE ROCK ISSUE IS A ROADWAY HAZARD, BUT I WAS CHARGED FOR THE REPAIR. FOR THE HYDROPLANE AND TREAD WEAR, THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. THE DEALER I WENT TOO, TOLD ME IN HIS OPINION THOSE TIRES ARE NOT AGGRESSIVE ENOUGH OR HEAVY ENOUGH FOR THAT MODEL TRUCK, AND HE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHY GOODYEAR IS PLACING THEM STOCK ON THAT VEHICLE. THAT IS THE CAUSE FOR THE HYDROPLANING. I HAVE ALMOST HAD 2 ACCIDENTS IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS DURING LIGHT SHOWERS DUE TO SLIDING REAR END. *TR THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANES DURING ANY RAINY CONDITIONS, NO MATTER HOW LIGHT OR HOW SEVERE. THIS CAUSED HIM TO HAVE TO DRIVE HIS VEHICLE IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE, DURING THESE TYPES OF WEATHER CONDITIONS. ALSO THE JACK OF THE VEHICLE DOES NOT FIT HIS TIRES. HIS VEHICLE CAME EQUIPPED WITH 20'' RIMS AND THE JACK IS MADE FOR 18''. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT MAKE JACKS FOR 20' RIMS.

IN JULY 2007 WE PURCHASED A NEW 2007 DODGE RAM 1500 PICK UP TRUCK FROM CROWN DODGE IN FAYETTEVILLE NC. ON 01/08/08 MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WHEN THE CONTROL ARM ON THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL BROKE. THIS CAUSED THE TIRE TO DISLOCATE FROM THE VEHICLE. THE TIRE, BALL JOINT, BRAKE SYSTEM AND HOSES STAYED ATTACHED TO THE RIM OF THE TIRE. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO DROP AND SURGE TO THE RIGHT. THEN COLLIDE WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE.THE CONTROL ARM, BALL JOINTS AND ALUMNIUM CASTINGS FAILED. WE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP WHO REFERED US TO OUR INSURANCE COMPANY EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 5,800 MILES AND IS STILL COVERED BY FACTORY WARRANTY. WE THEN E-MAILED DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A REPLY. THIS TYPE OF PRODUCT FAILURE IS SIMILAR TO THE ISSUES WITH FORD SUV'S WHICH LED TO SEVERAL DEATHS. IF MY WIFE WERE TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE OR MAJOR HIGHWAY SHE COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN KILLED. *TR

IN JULY 2007 WE PURCHASED A NEW 2007 DODGE RAM 1500 PICK UP TRUCK FROM CROWN DODGE IN FAYETTEVILLE NC. ON 01/08/08 MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WHEN THE CONTROL ARM ON THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL BROKE. THIS CAUSED THE TIRE TO DISLOCATE FROM THE VEHICLE. THE TIRE, BALL JOINT, BRAKE SYSTEM AND HOSES STAYED ATTACHED TO THE RIM OF THE TIRE. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO DROP AND SURGE TO THE RIGHT.
