BRAKE SYSTEM ON DODGE RAM 2500 CAUSES A DANGEROUS PULLING CONDITION. I HAVE NEARLY BEEN IN SEVERAL ACCIDENTS WHEN PULLING A TRAILER, AS THE ADDITIONAL WEIGHT CAUSES THE PULLING CONDITION TO BECOME VERY SEVERE. I FEEL THIS IS A SECURITY RISK TO MYSELF AND OTHER MOTORISTS.*AK

AFTER SHUTTING OFF ENGINE IT WILL CONTINUE TO RUN. DEALER CANNOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM.*AK THE CAUSE FOR THE ENGINE TO CONTINUE RUNNING AFTER IT WAS TURNED OFF WAS DETERMINED BY THE DEALER TO BE A RUSTED FUEL SOLENOID. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THIS DEFECT AND THE FAULTY BRAKES MAKE THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE. *YH

THESE PROBLEMS ARE REACCURRING ON 3 OF OUR TRUCKS. BRAKE LINE BREAK ON WET PAVEMENT CAUSED LOSS OF CONTROL AND SKID ACCIDENT.

WITH ENGINE IN IDLE AND APPLYING BRAKES MORE THAN TWICE, THE THIRD TIME LOSS OF POWER BRAKES WILL OCCUR. DEALER HAS INSTALLED NEW CHECK VALVE, BUT DEFECT KEEPS OCCURRING. CONSUMER FEELS DIESEL ENGINE DOES NOT PRODUCE ENOUGH VACCUM WHILE IN IDLE , 800 RPMS. CHRYSLER HAS NOW DEVELOPED A FIX TO INSTALL A VACCUM ACCUMALATOR AT CONSUMER COSTS.*AK
BRAKING SYSTEM WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. HAD BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED 3 TIMES. ALSO, ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS/HEADLIGHTS GOING OFF AND ON/POWER WINDOWS GOING UP AND DOWN, AND DOOR LOCKS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING WHILE DRIVING. DODGE REPLACED ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM UNDER WARRANTY. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO DEALER 74 TIMES UNDER WARRANTY, DEALER CAN'T FIND CAUSE OF PROBLEM ON BRAKES.*AK

ONGOING SEVERE PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE PULLING TO LEFT WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. VEHICLE TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP FOR REPAIRS, BUT PROBLEM STILL OCCURRING. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS ON THIS MATTER. *AK
WHEN COMING TO A NORMAL STOP BACK END HOPS REALLY BAD AND PULLS TO THE RIGHT. WHEN BACKING UP BRAKES SOMETIMES WILL LOCK UP. STOPPING DISTANCE HAS INCREASED DRAMATICALLY WITH THE HOPPING. *AK
THE ABS WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON AT ALL TIMES. WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR BROAD. THIS HAPPENS DURING NORMAL BRAKING, SMOOTH ROAD SURFACES. THIS HAS BEEN AN ON GOING PROBLEM SINCE MARCH OF 1995. THE DEALER IS NOT ABLE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM.
THE BRAKE SYSTEM ON THE VEHICLE IS NOT RESPONDING WELL, WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THE PEDAL IS HARD ON OCCASIONS WITH NO BRAKING ABILITY WITH THE ABS BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATING, THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THIS WAS TYPICAL FOR THE SYSTEM. *MJS
WHEN BACKING UP WITH A TRAILER ATTACHED, AND APPLYING BRAKES FOR THE FORTH TIME, IT CAUSED PEDAL TO HARDEN AND LOST BRAKES. BOTH BRAKE AND ABS LIGHTS WOULD COME ON WITHIN 10 SECONDS OR MORE BETWEEN BRAKES RETURN, AND THEN LOSS OF BRAKES AGAIN. DEALER NOTIFIED, AND INFORMED CONSUMER THAT WAS NORMAL. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
THE BRAKES HAVE FAILED SIX TIMES OVER THE SIX YEARS I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK. THE BRAKE PEDAL STAYS FIRM BUT THERE ARE NO BRTAKES. KFIVE TIMES I COASTED TO A STOP, THE LATEST FAILURE RESULTED IN A MINOR ONE CAR ACCIDENT. WE ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS THING AND ONLY USED ABOUT 500 MILES IN THE PAST 18 MONTHS. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERS SEVERAL TIMES, ONCE FOR FOUR WEEKS AND THEY DON'T FIND A PROBLEM. I HAVE A COMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE AND SPENT 17 YEARS AS A FORIEGN CAR MECHANIC. *AK
BRAKE VACUUM PUMP MALFUNCTIONED,CAUSING LOSS OF BRAKING ABILITY. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER, DEALER HAS REPLACED THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP. *AK THE VACUUM PUMP FAILED TWICE. *YH

FRONT AXLE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE HAD A BROKEN BRAKE LINE, CAUSING POOR BRAKING ABILITY.
BRAKES FAILED SEVERAL TIMES VACCUM BOOSTER REPLACED HOWEVER DID NOT REMEDY FAILURES.

ABS OPERATES WITH RAPID PULSING OF THE BRAKES UNTIL A SPEED OF ABOUT 8-10 MPH IS REACHED AT WHICH POINT ABS STOPS PULSING FOR 1-1/2 SECONDS AND VEHICLE ROLLS. THE PUASE INCREASES TIME REQUIRED STOPPING DISTANCE.
WHILE DRIVING ON DRY PAVEMENT AT 30 MPH OR LESS, PANIC STOPS WERE REQUIRED. THE ABS SYSTEM OPERATES WITH RAPID PULSING OF THE BRAKES UNTIL A SPEED OF ABOUT 8-10 MPH IS REACHED, AT WHICH POINT THE SYSTEM STOP PULSING FOR 1-1/2 SECONDS AND VEHICLE ROLLS FREELY. THE ABS THEN RESUMES AND A COMPLETE STOP IS MADE. THE PUASE CAUSES EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE.
VACUUM BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED. IT WAS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER, AND IT TOOK 8 DAYS TO LOCATE ONE IN DEALER INVENTORY. *AK
WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED WITH A LOAD WILL NOT IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK

WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY DURING INCLEMENT CONDITIONS CONSISTING OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL/TOTAL DARKNESS AND FOGGY, VEHICLE'S LIGHTS WERE ON LOW BEAM. THE HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY WENT OUT, VEHICLE WENT OUT OF CONTROL, APPLIED BRAKES B UT THEY DIDN'T WOTK, VEHIVLE HIT A ROCK WALL. DURING INSPECTION, IT WAS NOTED THAT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE WORN OUT. BOTH DRIVER/PASSENGER SUSTAINE DINJURIES. *AK
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES VEHICLE PULLS EXCESSIVELY TO THE RIGHT. *AK
WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE AUTOMOBILE PULLS TO THE RIGHT WHICH COULD CAUSE AND ACCIDENT IF SOMEONE WERE TO BE CLOSE TO VEHICLE WHEN IT HAPPENS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER 8 TIMES AND STILL IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES. *AK
