TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 DODGE RAM 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING. THE CONTACT EXAMINED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE QUICK CONNECTS ON THE TRANSMISSION LINES WERE MELTED. AS A RESULT, TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO HAVE THE FAILURE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 97V084000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:COOLING UNIT AND LINES). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 139,000.

IM NOT SURE IF IM IN THE RIGHT AREA OR NOT BUT WE HAVE A 1995 DODGE RAM VAN B 3500 INTERIOR MADE BY COACHMAN R.V. WE HAVE HAD A VIBRATION IN THE REAR END WE WENT ON VACATION IN JAN..AND GOT STUCK ON THE ROAD THE VIBRATION GOT SO BAD WE HAD TO HAVE THE VAN TOWED TO A TOWN TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT THEY FOUND 1 OF THE GEARS IN THE PUMPKIN WAS BAD. THEY FIXED IT AND THERE WAS STILL A VIBRATION SENCE THEN WE HAVE BEEN STUCK IN AZ. KNOW ONE SEEM TO KNOW WHAT TO DO NOT EVEN DAIMLER CHRYSLER WHICH WILL NOT HELP US AT ALL THIS VAN MIGHT BE A 1995 BUT IT ONLY HAD 26,000 MILES ON IT WHEN WE GOT IT.WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH DAIMLER CHRYSLER OVER THIS FOR 3 MONTHS NOW AND ARE SICK AND TIRED OFF IT. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH THE FUEL LINE THAT WAS CONNECTED TO THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. VEHICLE LOST POWER AND BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS TOWARD ONCOMING TRAFFIC. CONSUMER STATED WHEN ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THE BRAKES THEY MALFUNCTIONED BECAUSE TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKED ONTO THEM. *AK

THE DODGE MASON DUMP TRUCK BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES WHILE ENGAGED IN SNOW PLOWING OPERATION, CONSUMER BELIEVES THIS FIRE WAS DIRECTLY RELATED TO RECALL 99V-115 FOR THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY THEREFORE THE CONSUMER REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT. NLM
THERE IS A FITTING THAT IS MADE OF PLASTIC IN THE TRANSMISSION COOLING LINES THAT MELTS, AND CAUSES A LOSS OF TRANSMISSION FLUID. DEALER HAD TO REPLACE COOLING LINES AND FITTINGS. *AK
WAS GOING UP A HILL AND PULLING A TRAILER, TRANSMISSION GOT STUCK IN 5TH GEAR AND WOULDN'T COME OUT. PULLED OFF THE ROAD, TURNED ENGINE OFF, GOT IT OUT OF GEAR, AND CONTINUED. IT GETS STUCK INTERMITTENTLY IN 5TH GEAR. *AK
TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO FAIL AT 60,000 MILES, TOOK TO DEALER SAID NEED TO ADJUST BANDS, CONTINUED TO SLIP, TOOK BACK TO DEAL, THEY SAID THEY ADJUSTED BANDS, CHANGED TRANSMISSION FLUID, AND COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM, AFTER TRUCK REACH 77,000 MILES, DEAL SAID I NEEDED NEW TRANSMISSION @ $5000.00. *AK
AT 30,000 MILES THE HYDRAULIC CLUTCH LINE RUPTURED, CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK UNTO THE EXHAUST WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FIRE. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
BROUGHT VEHICLE IN ONCE FOR RECALL ON TRANSMISSION COOLING LINES, THAN HAD TO BRING IT BACK IN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THEN THE VEHICLE THAN BROKE ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE GOING AT 55MPH IN CRUISE CONTROL. THE VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION JUST WENT TO NEUTRAL AND NEVER WENT INTO GEAR AGAIN. I HAD TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND PUSH IT OF THE INTERSTATE.

ON NINE OCCASIONS THE TRAINMISSION WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY FOR SEVENTH TIME THE TRANSMISSION NEED TO REPLACED . PLEASE DESCRIBE .*AK
