VEHICLE PULLS HARD TO LEFT WHEN BRAKING,,,,,,HAVE TO HOLD IT RIGHT TO KEEP STEERING WHEEL FROM GOING LEFT,,,,,PADS & CALIPERS WERE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AND AFTER WARRANTY RAN OUT BUT DOES NOT HELP,,,,,,,THE STEERING GEAR BOX ON THESE TRUCKS MAKE THEM WANDER ALL OVER THE ROAD,,,,,,LOTS OF PLAY IN THE STEERING,,,,,,,,,,,I FEEL CHRYSLER NEEDS TO ADDRESS THESE PROBLEMS,,,,,,,I AM A MEMBER OF A CLUB THAT HAS 6600 MEMBERS WITH THE DODGE RAM 2500/3500 PICKUPS WITH THE DIESEL ENGINE AND THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF STORIES THERE ABOUT TRYING TO DEAL WITH THESE PROBLEMS. *AK
THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP AND LOOKED AT DODGE DEALER. STEERING COLLUM IS COME APART BUT THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS MY FAULT. THEY WEREN'T LIABLE AND SENT ME AWAY. THE STEERING WHEEL CAN BE LIFTED UP AND DOWN IN AND OUT ABOUT A INCH OF PLAY. I ALSO HAD A BUNCH MORE PROBLEMS DOWN THE ROAD AFTER I BOUGHT THE TRUCK. THEY NEVER FIXED ANY OF THE PROBLEMS RIGHT SO I STOPPED BRINGING IT TOO THEM. I SPENT A HALF OF A YEAR TRYING AND HERE I AM NOW WITH A TRUCK THAT HAS 110,00 MILES NEW TIMING CHAIN NEW HEADS NEW WHEEL BEARING NEW CLUTCH. I HAVE RUN OUT OF MONEY AND PATIENCE. NOW MY STEERING WHEEL IS FALLING OFF MY REAR END IS HUMING AND MY TRANS IS SHIFTING HARD. THAT WAS THE FIRST THING THEY SUPPOSLY FIXED.IS THERE ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN DO?

POWER STEERING PUMP STARTED LEAKING. ALSO, WINDSHIELD WOULD LEAK AROUND THE BONDING SEAL AREA WHEN ITS RAINED HARD, AND TRANSMISSION MADE A LOT OF NOISE & WOULD SLIP. *AK
PE99031; WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE STALLED UNEXPECTEDLY WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED A CRASH. ALSO, STEERING COLUMN PLASTIC MELTED, AND WIRE BURNT. VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING/ POWER LIGHT,ETC., AND SMOKE CAME FROM THE COLUMN. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
HAD FRONT ALIGNMENT IN JANUARY 1999 ,REPALCED TRACK BAR IN FEBUARY 1999 .IN JUNE OF 1999 TOOK TO DEALER TO ADJUST STEERING BOX.WAS TOLD STEERING BOX HAD TO BE REPLACED. STEERING BOX ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER. HAD TO MUCH PLAY IN STEERING TRUCK. TRUCK IS 4 YEARS OLD . *AK
THE NON TILT STEERING COLUMN THERE IS ONE INCH OF PLAY AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STEERING COLUMN. THE WHOLE STEERING COLUMN MOVES. THE SHAFT MOVES ONE INCH TO THE SIDE BEFORE THE STEERING BOX TURNS. DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM

RATTLE OR CLUNK FELT IN STEERING COLUMN WHILE DRIVING ON BUMPY OR ROUGH ROAD SURFACES, OR WHILE MAKING A TURN, SERVICE BULLETIN DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN AND RECALL REPAIR WORK COMPLETED ON THE STEERING SHAFT AND COLUMN HOWEVER PROBLEMS WITH STEERING STILL EXPERIENCED.
THE STEERING WHEEL IS TURNING TO THE RIGHT AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CANNOT BE SEEN BECAUSE OF THE REPAIR UNDER THE RECALL, AND THE TURN SIGNALS DO NOT WORK. THIS IS HOW THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE CONSUMER. PLEASED DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE DOWN THE STREET AT 25 MPH STEERING SYSTEM BROKE, UNABLE TO OPERATE VEHICLE. TOW TRUCK WAS CALLED. THEN COMSUMER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, THEY WERE WILLING TO FIX VEHICLE BUT COMSUMER DID NOT WANT TO BECAUSE HE FEELS IT IS UNSAFE. *AK THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW. THE STEERING AND THE WINDSHIELD WERE REPLACED TWICE. THE WINDSHIELD HAD CRACKED. *YH
STEERING COLUMN: LOOSENESS AND NOISE IN THE STEERING COLUMN, DEALER SAYS INTERMEDIATE SHAFT IN THE LOWER SHAFT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. *AK
RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR HIS STEERING COLUMN, AND WAS TOLD THAT VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT IT WAS NOT. RECALL NO.95V088000. OWNER IS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. *AK

WHEN VEHICLE IS ALIGNED THE STEERING COLUMN S NOT STRAIGHT, IT IS LOOSE . *AK CONSUMER STATES THE STEERING COLUMN CLICKS AND MOVES SIDE TO SIDE, AFTER 2 ATTEMPTS AT WHEEL ALIGNMENT, THE MECHANIC STATED THAT UNIT IS SEALED AND CANNOT BE BROUGHT TO SPECS, HE ADJUSTED IT AS BEST AS HE COULD. *SLC

WHEN PUMPD, THE PEDAL GOES UP AND INCREASES STOPPING DISTANCE. THE ACCELERATOR STICKS SOMETIMES. THE WINDOWS RATTLE AND THE CONSOLE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY AND LEAKS AIR AS WELL. *YH
