TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 DODGE RAM. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. NO REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 97,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.

AFTER HAVING THE DEALER MODIFY THE VEHICLE WITH AN ELECTRICAL BED, THE WHEEL CHAIR LIFTER, AND OXYGEN ACTIVATOR BATTERY WOULD NOT KEEP A CHARGE. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL SEPARATE OCCASIONS, BUT PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK THE PROBLEM HAVE EXISTED FROM THE DAY OF DELIVERY. THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN. *SC

THERES WAS A SMALL HOLE LIKE A SCREW HOLE LOCATED ON SIDE OF STEERING WHEEL WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, AND KEYS THAT HUNG DOWN FROM IGNITION GOT CAUGHT IN HOLE AND LOCKED UP STEERING WHEEL, CAUSING CONSUMER TO LOSE CONTROL, AND VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL. WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY AND WITHOUT THE ENGINE RUNNING A FIRE STARTED IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT, COMPLETELY DESTROYING VEHICLE. CAUSE UNKNOWN. *AK
THE TRUCK IS OVER CHARGING, CAUSING THE TRUCK TO PRODUCE OVER 18 VOLTS, AND THE DOME AND HEADLIGHTS TO FLICKER ON AND OFF (PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS ON A CURVY ROAD AT NIGHT). VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT DEALERSHIP FOR THREE MONTHS. ALL ATTEMPS TO CORRECT ISSUE WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF DAIMLERCHRYSLER HAVE FAILED. MANY SHOPS WILL NOT TAKE THESE TRUCKS BECAUSE THIS PROBLEM SEEMS UNRESOVABLE. THE VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AND UNSELLABLE. DUE TO THE INCREASING NUMBER OF REPORTED VEHICLES WITH A SIMILAR PROBLEM DAIMLERCHRYSLER HAS ADMITTED THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT IS TAKING NO ACTION TO RESOLVE IT AT THIS TIME.
REPORTING A RENTAL VEHICLE FROM EXPRESS WAY DODGE EXPERIENCED A FIRE UNDERNEATH VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED OF 55-60 MPH. *AK CONSUMER FEELS THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY EITHER THE FUEL PUMP OR A TRANSMISSION LEAK. *SLC

STILL NOT FIXED VEHICLE STILL HAS REAL BAD TAPPING IN ENGINE. TRUCK DIED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD , LEFT ME STRANDED. DIAGNOSIS WAS THAT THE FUEL PUMP MODULE WENT OUT. ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE ALSO SHORTED OUT THE CASSETTE PLAYER. I HAVE ALSO HEARD STRANGE BUZZING NOISES IN THE CAB WHILE DRIVING. TOOK BACK TO DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. VEHICLE IS STILL NOT RUNNING PROPERLY.
