RECALL REGARDING TRANSFER CASE OIL LOCKUP=CONSUMER CLAIMS DEALER WILL NOT REMEDY RECALL BECAUSE DEALER SAID HE DOES NOT LIKE CONSUMER. *AK
TRANSFER CASE FAILED CAUSING WHEEL LOCK UP.
THE SMALL AMOUNT OF FLUID IN THE TRANSFER CASE COULD LEAK OUT AND LOCK UP THE ASSEMBLY WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING. PROBLEM CREATES THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT. THE MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE WAS RECALLED FOR THE SAME PROBLEM.
TRANSFER CASE LEAKS.
TRANSMISSION CLUTCH FAILED.
ELECTRIC WINDOW MOTOR FAILED.
WHEN TRYING TO OPEN THE PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR, THE DOOR WOULD NOT COME OPEN. WHEN PUSHING ON THE DOOR HARD THE DOOR OPENED, BUT PUSHED IN THE REAR RIGHT FENDER. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. *AK
PASSENGER'S FRONT DOOR WON'T OPEN DUE TO LOOSENING OF HINGES.
TRANSFER CASE YOKE SEAL/TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL LEAK, CAUSING LOSS OF FLUID. THIS CAN LEAD TO DAMAGE TO THE TRANSFER CASE, IN EXTREME CASE CAUSE A LOCKUP OF DRIVE TRAIN, INCREASING RISK OF A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

WHILE SON WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE ABOUT 50 MPH BOTH BACK WHEELS LOCKED UP. SON WAS NOT ABLE TO CONTROL CAR UNTIL CAR CAME TO STOP. THIS WAS DUE TO THE LEAKING FLUID OF THE TRANSFER CASE. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. *AK

TRANSFER CASE DEVELOPED A LEAK DUE TO METALLIC PLUG WAS NOT SEALED PROPERLY AND ALLOWED OIL TO LEAK OUT. THIS COULD LEAD TO A FAILURE OF THE TRANSFER CASE, RESULTING IN THE LOCK UP OF THE DRIVETRAIN AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF CONTROL. *AK
