American Lease and Management (AL) company acquired fleet of Fisker Ocean vehicles with a commitment to push Software Updates Over The Air (OTA) to all the Fisker Ocean Vehicles sold by Fisker. AL pushed the update to software on Fisker vehicles (including mine) very irresponsibly and as a result my vehicle is undrivable (Bricked). AL is very hard to reach, their phone number don't work. For me to get a Technician to the location where my vehicle is bricked and manually update the software to unbrick it, would cost me thousands of dollars. This should not havd happened in the first place, but because of AL negligence and lack of responsibility, there are many cars out there that are in same situation as mine is now.

Apr 7, 2025

There was a safety over the air update which happened on Feb 13 2025. After that the vehicle is completely unoperable. After the NHSTA mandated update the car does not shift from Neutral to drivable gear. It's become a brick.

I am writing to report an issue with my vehicle that occurred during an unannounced over-the-air software update. The update bricked the vehicle, locking the steering and wheels and immobilizing the car. The PKC unit failed during the update, and the resulting tow truck and repair costs exceeded $3,000. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter as soon as possible. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact received an unknown recall notification. The contact attempted to reach the manufacturer but was unsuccessful since the company had filed for bankruptcy protection and was no longer in business. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the vehicle shuddered violently and stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact merged to the left side of the road. A mobile mechanic diagnosed the vehicle at the residence. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle with vehicle control unit (VCU) corruption, drive train corruption, and software corruption. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred after driving 200 ft. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that a field technician would be sent to perform the vehicle control unit (VCU), drive train, and software updates. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.

American Leasing retains control of the FAST Diagnostic System system software used by the few remaining Fisker Service Technicians. FAST allows technicians to upgrade firmware in various components in the car. Some are related to current recalls on braking, electric motor controls, as well as modules related to ADAS system not completed by Fisker; yet, system which generates numerous "alarms" while driving creating a distracted driving nightmare especially during poor weather conditions. Without this "OEM" service tool, service techs have a difficult time installing updates, resetting components, or diagnosing failed parts. It is one of the few lifelines available for single vehicle owners to continue to operate our Fisker's safely. American Leasing is price gouging non-American Lease service technicians for access to this tool to service the approximate 4,000 vehicles bought in the open market prior to bankruptcy. They know it is our service technicians only complete diagnostic tool and are greedily preventing our folks from access.

The software on the vehicle appears to have been updated without my permission or knowledge. 1) Now my doors will no longer lock or unlock from the interior control panel ... which means that the vehicle cannot drive as I am unable to let people into the vehicle due to how the door/door handles function. The door handles used to protrude out of the door when the vehicle was unlocked. Since the interior control panel on the driver's door no longer functions and the doors automatically lock when driving, I am unable to unlock the doors to let people in while driving. 2) I am not longer able to roll down, or up, any windows from the driver's control panel. All windows are permanently closed and cannot be opened or closed from the driver's door control panel.

To Whom It May Concern, I am filing an urgent safety complaint regarding my Fisker Ocean One Launch Edition SUV, which continues to experience braking failures despite the latest software recall update (2.2.2). Fisker has now ceased operations, leaving me and other owners without any ability to have our vehicles tested or repaired. Braking Issue Persists: Despite Fisker’s claim that update 2.2.2 resolves the braking problem, my vehicle continues to exhibit severe braking failures, indicating the issue may be hardware-related. No Service Options Available: Fisker’s shutdown means there is no way to have the vehicle inspected or repaired, posing a significant safety risk to both drivers and pedestrians. Request for Investigation: I urge NHTSA to reopen or expand the recall and investigate whether Fisker vehicles pose an ongoing safety hazard that should trigger additional consumer protections. This is a critical issue that has now occurred on multiple occasions that requires immediate attention, as these vehicles remain on the road without proper testing or repair availability. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

the car goes into neutral while driving. (Loss of POWER) Happened over 10 times. I need to pull over , come to a complete stop and start the car again. It has happened on the highway and on regular roads. Had the water pump replaced twice and a new 12 v battery installed. The problem has gotten better since but still happens. the first indication is the red batterie light turns on and then car goes in neutral.

Mar 13, 2025

Was driving down the road on multiple occasions vehicle had a loss of power going into a limp mode and slowing abruptly.

Mar 7, 2025

Car is unsafe to drive, due to sudden power loss. Faulty water pump causes car to stall/loss of power. NHTSA Campaign number 24V499000 for faulty water pump. Car has been parked since November 14, 2024. Parties responsible/assigned by the bankruptcy court to complete repairs have not contacted me to repair car. American lease/Indigo have funds/ monies for repairs.

Mar 6, 2025

My car pushed required recall updates without any indication that it was coming and the next day or two the battery died and car is now showing a red light at charging port and is stuck in neutral. I only received 1/3 updates so I don’t know if that was also the issue. It was executed poorly and bricked my car. I have no idea how to unbrick it to life.

Mar 4, 2025

I was upgraded to the different version by American Leasing because they control the Fisker recall. They had me on 2.2 (1/3) then 2.2.2 and then back down to 2.2.1 and now I have issues with my car. no blind spot and radr errors, and the fix for taking your foot off the brake and going over bumps is gone, the car jumps forward again

Mar 4, 2025

Recall for faulty software 2.1 affecting the braking: making car unsafe to drive. During the process of Over The Air update to the car, the download(2.2) made the car inopperable. car has not been able to drive since November 14, 2024 when the car was updated.

Mar 4, 2025

Car looses power due to faulty water pump. NHTSA CN: 24v499000. CAR is not road worthy since it can loose power at anytime. The parties assigned/funded by the Bankruptcy court have completed the braking software updated but have not replaced the water pump per the recall. i have not had any communication to when car will be repaired.

Mar 3, 2025

I have not received the 2.2 software update. The software delivered to my vehicle is 2.2.2, which has been communicated as an incomplete remedy of 2.2 that has not been homologated. Also, none of the hardware recalls have been addressed on my vehicle. My only local service provider does not accept any recall related work due to customers not receiving reimbursement. I do not have any available options to have my vehicle fully serviced. In addition to open recalls, I have a magnitude of issues with my vehicle, including but not limited to broken door handles, broken NFC reader, broken key fob, broken rubber trim, intermittent ADAS, intermittent reverse camera operation, and missing software features.

Mar 2, 2025

None of the following recalls have been corrected/ or the update to 2.2, have been completed on my vehicle Recalls are not being done or parts provided. I am being told I have to use an approved service provider and the requires me to drive 350 mile and pay for the labor. 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1)

Feb 25, 2025

In Aug 2024, the NHTSA (Campaign # 24V499) issued a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign for the 2023-24 Fisker Ocean One's Cabin Electric Water Pump. I had my 2023 Fisker Ocean One's water pump replaced by a mobile technician that charged $256.88 plus $224.85 for travel for the water pump replacement (more than the Liquidating Trustee's Designee's $175 allowance). The technician also checked all door handles at no charge, and they tested OK. Therefore, I am out of pocket $481.73 minus the $175 allowance...which I'm still uncertain when I will receive the $175 allowance.

Feb 22, 2025

I was invited to an over the air update cohort six. I left my car at work for a couple of days so that my car would be connected to solid reliable Wi-Fi the car was great before the update. I was on 2.1. After the update the car indicated 2.2.(2/3) The main issue is unreliable ICC. Center screen is often times blank also experiencing trouble getting it to go into drive modes and sometimes the screen is diagonal. Also, tire pressure monitoring indicates malfunction and light is illuminated. And hill descend control fault light is illuminated when traveling over 17 miles an hour. My car is not reliable as sometimes have to fiddle with it as much as 45 minutes to get it to go into a drive mode I believe it’s because Hollywood mode is partially engaged and screen is slanted. it was at least partially functioning, but now becoming really unreliable.

Feb 19, 2025

Since last software update mileage efficiency has gone down to a 60% of what it used to provide, worried about having some software problems that may cause future electrical incidents like fire hazards.

Feb 19, 2025

Car became inoperable after a failed recall software update was attempted.

Feb 17, 2025

Their are multiple recalls for Fisker Ocean One but none have been serviced and no contacts for recalls and service.

* Safety recall 24V499 - replacement of cabin electric water pumps. Pump was replaced [XXX] by Nuts and Volts automotive. Cost to me was $185.71 including parts, supplies and $150 labor. Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $175 for pump replacement and door handle checks. * Safety recall ?? - replacement of door handles that fail a pull test. I had a front drivers side and a right rear door handle that failed the pull test as administered by Nuts and Volts Automotive using the prescribed tool on [XXX]. Cost to replace will be $150 for NFC front door handles and $100 for the right rear, vs Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $100 for NFC door handle and $80 for others (right rear in my case). The tool was not available when the pump was changed. Problem - door handles being provided by American Lease (as designated by the liquidating trustee) are the original design and left over inventory. The newly produced better design handles are still in England with the manufacturer Chevalier. We need these door handles!! The recall for the ADAS alerts (cluster telltales) # 24V405 (campaign TSB70062404) - has not fully resolved the nuisance cluster telltale alerts. The OTA team needs to be more precise with the updates and not leave some of the numerous electronic modules partially updated. Some incomplete updates cause owners cars to malfunction or stop responding (BRICK). INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Feb 17, 2025

On February 12, 25 my car received a software update. After the update I had several faults drive train, braking, camera faults, avoidance faults and the vehicle would not charge. It was basically bricked. The vehicle could not go into gear and was basically useless. I had to pay $1350 to have a technician get the car in a somewhat usable condition. It is still not back to where it was prior to the update. No warning were given to me before this unapproved update, that was done in the middle of the night, that basically ruined my car. I would hope there would be no further over the air updates. If updates need to be done, they should be done in person in case there are any problems with the update. The technician also told me that my motors are not able to accept this new update and if they try it again, my car will be bricked once again. I want to be taken off the list for any updates in the future. What they did to me is criminal!!

Feb 15, 2025

I am $851 out of pocket for repairs to address NHTSA mandated recalls. Software updates have not fully addressed all issues, notably excessive and distracting repeating audible and visual driver alerts related to ADAS failures, especially when raining, dark, or driving into direct sunlight. Vehicle was subject to multiple recalls (software: 24V865000, 24V623000, 24V405000, 24V404000; hardware: 24V499000) manufacturer is bankrupt, zero follow-through from trustee / administrators to enable me to get these recalls addressed. There is an "OTA" team who are responsible for delivering software updates over the air. They are opaque, uncontactable, and appear to operate beholden to no-one. They have failed to establish a method for providing the NHTSA mandated software updates. The Fisker Owner's Association has attempted to fill the administrative delinquency but they are also not getting support. My complaint is based on the requirement that the manufacturer ensures I am not out of pocket for the cost of the remediation work to address the recalls and they have failed to provide a way for me to do this. As a result I have paid out of pocket to have them addressed. Attached is the invoice from a local garage for software updates ($495 labor) and water pump replacement ($325 labor + $31 parts).

Feb 15, 2025

Unannounced and unauthorized software update caused a motor control unit failure. My vehicle was unable to go into gear or drive after this unannounced update.

Feb 13, 2025 Crash

NO Recall work performed on my car. Received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000 & Recall TSB10032403. NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V623000 (Service Brakes, Electric) Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremely unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. I spent #300 for replace the water pump and another $200 for diagnostic work and there is no fix at the moment for the electric issues with the car (especially ADAS and blind spot) however the trustee is still responsible for rolling out this buggy software and possibly damaging more cars with each remote installation.

Feb 13, 2025

I request that compliance to Fisker Recalls be enforced due failure of Fisker (Bankrupt) , and its OTA team and trustee to pay for water pump recall service and to complete other required other recalls. I have paid out of pocket a service tech $200 for the water pump recall, , $175 plus $25 for mobile/travel fee. The trustees have not been responsive on how to get service or on reimbursements. The OTA team responsible for Software recall work has also been non-responsive. I have received a partial OTA update that does not include any of the components required by the recall work . Also after the bankruptcy , near my home in Arizona, Fisker FAST tools were being used to perform software recall work on cars being transferred to American lease. Fisker employees at the tempe site were unresponsive to have my vehicle updated. And then the Fisker FAST tools for updating software were not left in the Arizona and Nevada area. A Fisker Fast tool should be provided to a regional service tech without cost instead of the rumored $16000 fee being asked by American lease. I recommend the tool be provided free of charge to Chris Peralta, A Fisker trained tech who is authorized by the Fisker Owners Association and who has been performing service work for many vehicle owners in the Arizona and Nevada Areas.

Feb 12, 2025

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. I am still waiting for Fisker to address the water pump issue of my car. I have tried to get in touch with them multiple times without success. The lack of service personnel, with only around 20 available nationwide and just five who can travel to address undriveable cars, only adds to the urgency of this matter. It is imperative that this process is reviewed and the underlying safety concerns that have left many of us feeling unsupported and frustrated are resolved in a manner that will be free of cost and successful to the majority of owners. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Feb 12, 2025

My car has few safety recalls to be addressed but with the bankruptcy of Fisker, we do not have proper means, parts, and technician to perform the recall fix.

Feb 12, 2025

The manufacturer was required by NHTSA to update the vehicle software to address critical safety issues. This effort was implemented through Over The Air (OTA) updates last fall. This software update was a very large and complex file and required the car to be "On" for the duration of the updates. This caused the 12 V battery to drain beyond capacity, and the update was only partial, resulting in a non-operating vehicle. In order to remedy this situation, a local technician was needed to manually install this update, resulting in an $800 charge directly to me for this mandatory recall. The technician was able to "unbrick" my car, as well as complete the software update to the NHTSA required software level of version 2.2. Even after this update, my car is unreliable, and has safety issues with warning lights in the dash. There were 3 critical recalles issues by the NHTSA for this vehicle - 1) Software update, 2), Door handle function, 3) Coolant pump replacement to avoid "limp mode" in the drive train. I have had all of these issues coompleted on my vehicle, with an out of pocket expense of $800, which has not been reimbursed by the trustee for this company. The company (Fisker) is in bankrucy proceedings (chaper 7), and all responsibilities to get these recalls accomplished and paid for, have not been accomplished. The OTA team, and the trustee are not cooperating with the owners of these vehicles. We are all stuck and need an intervention by the NHSTA to help get these recalls and reimbursements completed.

Feb 12, 2025

Inability to Schedule Recall Work + Lack of Availability I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability, I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. This is unacceptable for any customer who relies on their vehicle for daily transportation. Additionally, the lengthy 48-hour windows during which our cars become unusable only exacerbate the frustration and inconvenience faced by owners. The expectation of partial updates, followed by yet another potential 48-hour downtime, is not a practical solution. Furthermore, the feedback from owner surveys suggests that complete updates, which should ideally resolve these issues, have only succeeded in under 30% of attempted vehicles. This raises serious questions about the efficacy of the OTA update process and its implementation. I was also alarmed to learn that after five weeks of attempts, only about 10% of the fleet—approximately 300 vehicles—have been successfully updated, despite over 800 VINs submitted for these updates.

Feb 12, 2025

My vehicle is not shifting in to a drivable gear. Screen displays error message with no possible solution. Vehiclweis just sitting in my carport collecting dust. FISKER company and its owner Henrik Fisker need to be brought before a court and be held accountable for the gross mismanagement of the company and betraying the trust of thousands of people who bought the vehicles because of the false promises from Mr. Fisker.

Feb 12, 2025

I am submitting this complaint because my 2023 Fisker Ocean One has not received any of the six NHTSA-mandated recalls, and with Fisker Inc. now bankrupt and unreachable, there is no clear path to getting these critical safety repairs completed. My wife drives this vehicle daily for work, covering approximately 100–150 miles per day, and the ongoing safety concerns pose a serious risk to her and others on the road. The vehicle has multiple serious safety issues that remain unaddressed due to the lack of manufacturer support: Safety features are non-functional – Several critical safety systems are either malfunctioning or have stopped working entirely. NFC Card Reader Failure – The NFC card reader on the door handle has stopped working, making entry into the vehicle unreliable. Vehicle Rolling Over Bumps – The car exhibits an uncontrolled rolling movement when driving over bumps, which creates an unpredictable driving experience and a potential loss of control. Interior Lighting Malfunctions – Various interior lights turn on randomly without user input, which may indicate electrical issues. Given Fisker’s bankruptcy, I am unable to schedule recall repairs, and no official service network exists to address these safety-critical issues. The recalls mandated by the NHTSA must be performed, yet there is no viable path for owners to ensure compliance. This situation presents an urgent safety hazard, and I am requesting immediate guidance on how these safety recalls can be fulfilled to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe for daily use.

The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 24V499000 (Electrical System), 24V405000(Electrical System), 24V404000(Electrical System), 24V623000 (Service Brakes, Electric), 24V865000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Auto Hold Brake System/Brake Hold) and 24V466000 (Structure); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated after parking the vehicle, the vehicle rolled away. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing unexpected reduction in regenerative braking system and loss of drive power. The contact also stated that the door handles were sticky and failed to return to the lock or unlock position as needed, upon locking or unlocking the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing other undisclosed failures related to the recalls. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recalls repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure because [XXX] recalls and the phone number at 1-844-FISKER1 were inoperative. The failure mileage was 2,700. Jan 13, 2025 Crash

I was scheduled to receive the 2.2 software update November 12 and noticed a low voltage battery warning some time earlier in the day, November 11 - this is not the main battery, as it was charged around 70%. Was this related to the download maybe? From reading threads, the best way to charge is to drive, so I went for a drive through local parks for about 30 minutes. Fast forward to later that night and I was driving home and received the warning again, but this time in a more critical fashion (beeps, red caution blinking, etc) and then a couple seconds later while turning on a bend the car totally shut down, the wheel locked up, breaks activated in full and I slid straight into the curb and got a flat tire and broke the wheel on the axel. Thankfully I was alone and was not hurt, and only going about 20 mph, but it could have been a lot worse. The car has not been online since as I haven't had time to charge the 12 volt, and the main battery will not charge because the cabin does not have power. Any advice on how to file a complaint, or next steps? I would love to be able to prove this with the logs or events within the car computer if I was ever able to power it back on again. At this point, the vehicle is a death trap.

Nov 28, 2024

The car doesn't change gear, car is currently parked in parking gear. When started, it says car is not intended gear and doesn't change to drive or reverse. Unable to use the car at the moment but still making payment and maintaining insurance on it. Tried reaching out to manufacturer, not able to get in touch with anyone that could help.

Nov 24, 2024

Was driving at approx 40 mph, car shut off completely but was able to get off to the side of a main road. No one was injured and no accident, however, this car is an absolute mess, is completely unsafe and none of them should be on roads, anywhere. I am supposed to get a recall OTA update, but I have no connectivity, no one can fix it, and I cannot get the necessary recall update. However, I do not trust that OTA even if I could get it. Some owners are getting this necessary OTA pushed to their vehicles and it is bricking them. Everything with these cars should be investigated, including, American Leasing and FOA (Fisker Owners Association) as they are collaborating with each other to push these OTAs to peoples vehicles, and neither of them are car makers, manufacturers, or auto companies.

Nov 10, 2024

I have 2.1. software and the car was bricked (inoperable) for 2 month until a tech from Ocean Reapiar Services (ORS) unbricked the car. What he found was that the drive motor units are corrupt and any Over The Air updates will brick the car again. The technician came back with a engineer 2 more times in 10 days to try to remedy the problem and the conclusion was that if I receive any over the air updates (OTA) the car will brick again and not be functional. According to the Tech and engineer from ORS. The drive motor units are corrupt and there are no fixes for this problem and any OTA's will make the car inoperable .

Nov 7, 2024

These are some of the recall issues with the Fisker Ocean. These problems can be fixed with an OTA software update, however, this update is being blocked/suspended by company that is controlling Fisker. I cannot safely drive my vehicle until the recalls are resolved

Oct 21, 2024

I have received recall notices in July of this year (Campaign Number: 24V405) and in September of this year (Campaign Number: 24V623) promising to fix everything from braking to warning lights. NOTHING has been fixed yet! How can the NHTSA be placated by a car company that sends out official recall notices and does nothing to fix the problems! Please hold Fisker accountable!!!!

Sep 14, 2024

After software update 2.1 vehicle bricked. Parked car in garage with everything working with 80% charge. Two hours later every fault light was lit on drivers display when stepping on the brake and showing 0% on HV battery. 30 seconds later upon stepping on the brake the car shuts off except the information screen. 15 seconds after unlocking car the charge port light goes from sold blue to red. Vehicle is inoperable. No one at Fisker responds.

Sep 13, 2024

The vehicle was parked the evening of September 9th and when I tried to leave the morning of September 10th the car will not shift from Park. The specific message is "Gear shift error. Car not in intended gear". Occasionally the dash also displays a message "Seat belt system malfunction Service required". I have driven the vehicle 15,687 miles and this is the first MAJOR problem I have experienced.

Sep 9, 2024

AFTER A SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.1, THE VECHICLE BECAME UNDRIVEABLE. CANNOT BE SHIFTED OR ENGAGE INTO DRIVE MODE. ITS STUCK ON NEUTRAL

Sep 7, 2024

Vehicle does not detect key intermittently while driving, vehicle begins an alert sequence while driving that requires the key to be retrieved and placed to the dashboard. The vehicle will present a red banner and warn of limited operation if the actions are not performed. These actions limit the attention and hand availability of the driver. It is dangerous and highly distracting. This issue has occurred after replacing the batteries in the key fob as well, replacing batteries in the key does not eliminate this issue. Fisker has been notified of this issue by many owners since launch of the vehicle. I am disappointed with the lack of response and follow up from Fisker and related entities.

Sep 5, 2024

Fisker pushed the over the air (OTA) software update 2.1 and it broke / bricked my car. The car was at 61% charge and 12v battery without problems. After the 2.1 software update, my car showed tons of errors, including all the battery warnings, and now nothing works. It's basically dead without a fix. This issue has been documented and voiced all over the internet. I want this issue escalated into a recall while Fisker is still under Chapter 11 to be accountable and responsible to address and resolve.

I have had numerous problems (loss of regen braking, unnecessary auto braking, ADAS failure, loss of informational displays, power problems, etc, etc, etc) with this car since delivery in October 2023, and none have been resolved by the manufacturer. I have been notified of 4 or 5 safety recalls for this car (unsure why your website says there are none when I entered the VIN), none have been addressed by the company, and all contact methods with Fisker seem to be disconnected/unanswered. I don’t know how to get help. I don’t know how safe/reliable these cars are to have on the roads. Please - I hope it’s time for the federal government to intervene and get these cars off the road and help the owners get compensation. It feels like the customers are the last to be helped during Fisker’s bankruptcy. Thank you.

UNKNOWN The vehicle was operating normally until the manufacturer tried to do an Over The Air (OTA) software update. After this event, the car is now unreliable and is now basically bricked in place, without the ability to put vehicle in drive, reverse or neutral. I was able to get the car into my garage after the event on July 9th, it is still inoperable due to this event. If this were to happen to other vehicles, as has been reported by other owners, it could strand vehicles in odd places, possibly in dangerous places.

I received a recall notice. NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499. Recall of Cabin Electric Water Pump. The document states that the company will replace the pump at no cost and that I need to contact a fisker authorized service provider as soon as possible. There are no Fisker authorized service centers in the state of Michigan. It also says to contact Fisker Support if assistance is needed. The number they provided 1-844-FISKER1 is no longer working.

Aug 19, 2024

Fisker sent me a recall notice TSB30032401 with instructions to contact an authorized service provider to fix a recall-related issue. I am unaware of any as Fisker was to provide this service itself but no longer is doing so. The phone number on the recall notice 1-844-FISKER1 is no longer active.

On July 2024 automobile manufacturer Fisker Inc, mailed me two "safety recalls" that have not been yet resolved. 1) NHTSA campaign #24V405, Recall TSB70062404 for defective cluster telltales & 2) NHTSA campaign #24V404, Recall TSB10032403 for defective powertrain modules. There is no responsive communication with Fisker Inc. The two letters indicate that "over the air" software version Operating System 2.1 were going to be available in June 2024 for installation process, but has not yet happened for my car.

Interior Lights Activation: During nighttime driving, the interior lights of the vehicle come on unexpectedly. Interior Light Activation is distracting and can be perceived as improper vehicle operation, potentially leading to a risk of being pulled over by law enforcement. Power Loss and Vehicle Shutdown: On July 2, 2024, while driving, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of power and stopped completely. This incident happened without warning under normal driving conditions and presents a severe safety hazard. Similar occurrences have been known to result in accidents, and it is documented that vehicle power loss has led to numerous fatalities in similar situations. Impact: These issues have compromised the safety and reliability of the vehicle, making it unsafe to drive. Request: I urgently request that Fisker investigates these issues and takes immediate action to resolve them. I want to arrange for an inspection and repair of the vehicle at your earliest convenience to ensure it meets safety standards and operates as intended. Water Pump Failure & Vehicle key fob not working. Given that the malfunction does not stem from misuse or neglect, but rather appears to be a technical fault, I believe this situation falls under warranty coverage or a goodwill gesture from Fisker.

The manufacturer has not contacted me regarding the two earliest open recalls, campaign 24V404000 and 24V405000. I have made multiple attempts to contact the manufacturer to patch my vehicles software and have not received a response. These issues are in addition to other problems previously reported with my vehicle.

I am writing to formally notify the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of a significant concern regarding Fisker Automotive’s failure to meet the deadline for a mandated recall and their neglect in providing me with a recall notice. As an owner of a Fisker Ocen One, I was made aware through Facebook that my vehicle was subject to a recall due to Incorrectly Displayed Warning Lights/FMVSS 135,101, NTHSA Campaign Number 24V405000 and Loss of Power, NHTSA Campaign Number 24V40400. The recall notice indicated that remedial action was to be completed on June 30, 2024. However, as of today, July 1, 2024, I have not received any communication from Fisker Automotive regarding this recall. Further, Fisker does not respond to email communication sent to [email protected] or via phone at 844-347-5371. The lack of notification and the missed deadline for corrective action have left me with serious concerns about the safety of my vehicle and the potential risks it poses to my passengers and other road users. This delay also undermines the trust and reliability that consumers expect from automotive manufacturers, especially in matters as critical as vehicle safety recalls. I kindly request that the NHTSA investigate this matter to ensure that Fisker Automotive adheres to its obligations under the recall process and takes immediate steps to inform affected vehicle owners and remedy the identified defects promptly. I am looking forward to your prompt attention to this matter and would appreciate being kept informed of any developments regarding this issue.

There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was a recurring failure. The contact stated that the vehicle remained stuck in the middle of traffic and would not shift out of park(P) into drive(D) as intended. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or local dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was unknown.

Several times I have experienced mechanical failure with car stalling in the middle of the road, requiring to power down and restart. This led to several near collisions. The message on the dashboard was indicating something like "Drive Motor failure."

Jun 24, 2024

Car suddenly slams into park, while driving. Also will not go into gear. Gear selector error message. No service available at this time. Needs a recall for new software update please.

Jun 16, 2024

When coming to a stop, the brakes “slip” causing the braking distance to increase. This significantly increases the potential of a crash. Secondly, the car puts itself in PARK and engages parking brake when at a stop sign or traffic light. This significantly increases the potential of a crash. Thirdly, the display panel notes a brake system and ADAS malfunction while driving. Lastly, the driver’s side rear taillight of the vehicle doesn’t work and requires new part to fix it - which isn’t available. This significantly increases the risk of a crash.

Jun 10, 2024

Our Fisker Ocean has experienced occasional power lapses, but we could overcome them by switching driving modes. This afternoon on our return drive home the car shuddered when approaching a red light, and my ADAS alert went off. A few miles later the car would not proceed at all, and I switched driving modes but without luck. Pulled over and conducted the soft reset of the car's operating system, still no luck. If I could sense patterns, this has only occurred after updating to the car's operating system to 2.0. And it seems the car disagrees with our warm spring temps, as these incidents didn't occur in February or March. Submitted a work order 2 weeks ago for the deceleration issue (as well as no air conditioning and a strange fan noise), no one from the company has followed up.

Jun 7, 2024

The vehicle accelerates when foot is off accelerator and vehicle going over a small bump on road that causes the vehicle to lift a little. This lifting causes the vehicle to accelerate without warning. The accelerate is quite sudden and at high speeed. The ADAS system often malfunction. Emergency breaking has engaged on several occasions on low speeds. Lane keep system often malfunctions. Collison prevention system has issued warnings on numerous occasions when foot off accelerator and vehicle slowing down and at least 1/2 to 1 car length behind a vehicle.

May 11, 2024

Cascading brake failures while driving. ABS unavailable. Regenerative braking unavailable causing the brake pedal to be really heavy and hard to stop. Parking brake warning. Tire pressure monitoring error. Traction control error (esc). Loud pump or motor noise coming from the rear when parked when failure occurs. Have video of this noise. This error is also causing the rear drive motor to not engage, causing half the power vehicle is supposed to have and front wheel drive only.

May 11, 2024

I was driving and I received a drive motor failure. I lost all ability to accelerate and once under 7 mph the car shuddered to a stop. The dash shut down immediately. After exiting the vehicle and locking it, I rendered and the car seemed operational. I drove again to try to return home with the same issue occurring. I repeated this process with my emergency lights on to get the vehicle the remaining 2 miles home with the error happening a total of 4-5 times with one time showing a shifter error. In all cases, I needed to find a safe place to pull into while I waited for the reset to occur.

On [XXX] I opened a service ticket with Fisker for my Fisker Ocean One, Vin# [XXX] . On my drive to work the vehicle suddenly and very unexpectedly shuttered to a halt in the mist of driving. The times of the restarts were, [XXX], [XXX] and [XXX] and [XXX]pm. It was a clear day; everything was normal prior to the first episode at 1:17pm. After the third episode the " driver attention/alerts" came on unexpectedly too. After reaching my destination I performed a soft reboot which did not resolve the problem. Subsequently, on [XXX], at [XXX]am and again at [XXX]am, my vehicle shuttered to a stop and restarted in the middle of a busy road. After the second incident I did a soft reset and proceeded to my destination without any further issues. Yet again on [XXX] around [XXX]pm, my vehicle shuttered to stop in the middle of traffic, it then proceeded to reboot before allowing me to drive on. Nothing unusual preceded the incident and the vehicle was driven home with not added issues. On [XXX], between [XXX] today my FOO suddenly and unexpectedly shuttered to a stop no less than 6 times. On [XXX], the vehicle shuttered to a stop in the middle of traffic. Multiple events occurred sometime between [XXX]am and [XXX]am. On [XXX], the vehicle again shuttered to a stop, 2 times on the way home, again in the middle of traffic. All incidents where formally reported to Fisker at [email protected] and I rec'd confirmation of receipt Case numbers [XXX] and [XXX]. Through online resources I was able to find the contact information of a Fisker Service Center in Vista, CA (which isn't close to me, 80 miles away but I was willing to have the vehicle towed). I made an appt then they cancelled the appt after realizing that I found their contact information through online sources. So instead of helping they became petty and told me I'd have to until a service center opens closer to me. Several incidents with this car. All available for inspection. 1. Brakes dont work intermittently and then engage or release at random. We could have ran into a car when the brakes "released"randomly while pressing down the pedal. There is a brake malfunction light that comes on with. a loud gong when we start the car up. 2. Mark the Fisker deck said has reproduced and says he feels like there is bag of rattlesnakes at the pedal set. Both the accelerator and brake pedals have crunching noises and do not work properly. Mark says he has no idea why and can't do anything about it. 3. Manufacturer has not inspected the mechanical part of the car. Hard to get anyone to do anything over there, almost zero communication from the service center. This is a lemon car with massive safety issues. Even Chase, the note holder has reached out to us to get info on the mechanical and software problems. Asked if we wanted a buyback from the company which we do.we do.

Was driving vehicle on highway. Road was being milled. Went over the transition from milled to normal asphalt pavement. Vehicle lost power, error message appeared about battery, transmission shifted to neutral. Once vehicle was on the side of the highway, stopped, it turned itself off.

Apr 22, 2024

1. Center screen is completely off. It controls everything in the car: safety feature (blind sport, lane keep assist, traffic light alert, regenerative braking, and many others), AC/heating system, communication, navigation, etc. 2. Whistling noise started coming from the electric motor (I guess!). Not sure what exactly this sound is but it increases significantly with acceleration and slows down with deceleration.

Apr 20, 2024

During high speeds on the highway the car starting making random beeping and booping alerts, every warning showed up on the dash and a notification quickly popped up that said something along the lines of battery failure and need service, then disappeared, then a red battery indicator remained displayed and the car's acceleration and regenerative breaking went dead. We managed to roll the car for about half a mile to the next exit and pulled over. My wife was driving at that time and when I got out of the car to switch with my wife, the problem went away and we weren't able to reproduce the problem. I have sent this issue to Fisker the day of and they are completely ignoring it. I've been hounding them everyday about this as well as all the other issues with the car and expired plates. My wife is too scared to drive the car by herself since then and I can't even legally drive it because of Fisker's refusal to provide temporary registration and plates. Anyway, this was a dangerous situation for both of us. Fisker is currently prioritizing all their techs to prep inventory for sale and ignoring current customers with mechanical issues. Still have all the other well known issues like regenerative braking cutting off on high speeds when hitting uneven surfaces on the highway causing a very jarring lurch forward and decreased stopping distance, random ADAS errors causing beeps and bongs, interior light randomly coming on and off during drive, excessively loud fan noise coming from rear view mirror. These are all distracting during drive issues and Fisker's been ignoring me for all my issues.

The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean One. The contact stated while shifted into reverse(R) the vehicle independently shifted to park(P). There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had to release the accelerator pedal and depress the brake pedal to shift into the desired gear. Additionally, the contact stated that the doors failed to unlock while using the key fob. The contact had to make several attempts or wait for a while before the doors would unlock. The contact also stated that the driver’s side seat sensor failed to sense an occupant being seated in the seat. The contact had to move around in the seat to place the vehicle into the desired gear to be able to drive the vehicle. The contact stated that while the rear middle seat belt was buckled, the sensor was indicating that the seat belt had not locked. The seat belt was refastened several times before the warning light was reset. The contact stated that the HVAC system and TPMS were not operating as needed. After inspecting the tire pressures, the contact discovered that the tires were properly inflated; however, the following day the tires were completely flat. The contact stated that there was also an abnormal burning odor inside the cabin of the vehicle but no indication of a fire. The contact stated that there was squeaking noise when the brake pedal was depressed or released, with a clicking noise coming from near the driver's seat and the accelerator pedal while driving the vehicle. The contact stated that the failures were intermittent. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer; however, certified Fisker mechanics had been sent to the residence. The mechanics determined that the vehicle was overheating and found that the vehicle was taken to for service and the vents, and the seat sensors were replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 5.

Component: powertrain. It is unintended braking and acceleration. It is available for inspection. This has happened on multiple occasions: when going over bumps the vehicle jerks and lurches, applying braking or acceleration without input from me. While the braking is causing stability concerns at high speed, it is the unintended acceleration that is most troubling. This happened again this morning twice in rapid succession that almost caused a collision. It is only a matter of time before it does cause an injury. While exiting the expressway, on the off-ramp and following another vehicle, I was undergoing moderate braking (right foot on brake pedal with pressure). Twice the vehicle hit a bump in the road and it unexpectedly and definitely accelerated after hitting the bumps. This caused the car to lurch forward towards the vehicle in front of me. The second time was very close to causing a collision. I have registered this issue multiple times over the course of a month with the manufacturer. They are not responding to the complaint in writing. The one time I was finally able to reach someone by phone they tried to tell me it was a symptom of regenerative braking. As this is my 4th vehicle with regenerative braking I can definitively say this is not a regen issue that is found on other vehicles as it is not safe. In either case, I am unable to get any technician to inspect the vehicle. There are many warnings and messages about symptoms and problems with the vehicle. Trying to sort out what warnings may pertain to this specific, dangerous issue is impossible.

unsafe operation - erratic braking, roll back while waiting for light or traffic, non-functioning options, inconsistent key functionality, inability to update software. Total unresponsive company personnel to send technician to car's location for a repair. Stuck in driveway for 3 months blocking access to garage and potential fire hazard as it was connected to Fisker charger but would not release EV-SE handle. Mobile App and web site application not in sync and could not assist me as vehicle operator

Mar 3, 2024

The vehicle intermittently experiences brake failure when traversing rough or uneven terrain. The lane keep assist system occasionally causes the vehicle to veer towards the incorrect side of lane markings.

Feb 25, 2024

We were driving down a parkway and a yellow message flashed "battery malfunction" and the high-voltage battery fault came on and the car lost power while on a public road. I could break & steer but that was all. I was on a public road and had to coast down the hill (luckily was able to maintain speed) and there happened to be a parking lot I could coast into when we got to the bottom. I called road side assistance and gave them all the information, had my partner pick me and the kids up, and the car was later towed to my house. The car was at 70% Power and in Earth mode when all of this happened. Other issues that happened during this drive: Key Fob wouldn't work several times – car wouldn't lock or open after multiple attempts to use the lock/unlock button and even holding the fob on the door handle took time for the car to recognize. Usually it is in seconds, it was taking 20+ seconds. Park brake malfunction (flashing) when I was trying to park the car at the parking lot This is a serious safety issue – we were lucky we were able to coast down the road and were in a parking lot but if we had been on the interstate or the curvy 55 mph roads by my house a serious accident could have happened. In addition to the above – I've had several other issues making the car undriveable since I got it. The car only has 353 miles on it because it has been so unreliable to drive and now is completely unsafe to drive. I had the car delivered on December 14, 2023.

Feb 13, 2024

Car stopped on a busy highway and would not move forward or backwards. Rebooted system several times and still would not move. Finally, after many reboots, car began moving again. Extremely scary and dangerous incident. Separately, none of the ADAS systems are functional. The key fob is unpredicatable. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Some of the functions never work. We have had other problems. The car was taken back by Fisker for more than a month last fall. As is obvious, it still has many unaddressed and dangerous problems.

Feb 2, 2024

The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated that upon start of the vehicle, the gear shifter failed to engage and would move out the park(P) position. The contact also noticed that the gear position lights had failed to illuminate on the instrument panel. The vehicle then began to roll backwards at a rapid speed as the brakes failed to operate upon depression of the brake pedal. The contact immediately depressed the parking brake to avoid crashing into another vehicle. The contact called the manufacturer and was instructed to reboot the vehicle. Despite the reboot, the failure persisted as several warning lights appeared on the instrument panel. A technician was sent to the residence to inspect the vehicle; the contact was later informed by the mechanic that the vehicle was repaired. Days later while at a stop light, the contact was informed by a fellow motorist that the brake lights had failed to illuminate as needed and nearly resulted in an accident. The manufacturer was notified about failure and the contact was informed that another technician would be sent to inspect the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that while the back over prevention camera was in use, the screen would display false wheel alignment markings. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 10.

Jan 31, 2024

We had issues with the car from the day it arrived ranging from the key fob not working to multiple warning lights that interrupted the regenerative braking. Despite multiple tickets filed, Fisker was unresponsive. After about two weeks of owning the car (less than 250 miles on a brand new vehicle), the car went unresponsive while driving despite having a full charge and no warning/issue alerts. The car shifted itself into neutral and when the driver tried to put the car in park to get out of the car and see what was wrong, the car started to roll forward despite being in park. To stop the car from hitting oncoming traffic, the driver was able to get back in the car and manually depress the brake. Once the driver hit the brakes, the car stopped rolling forward, however the car remained unresponsive to any of the other gears. To get out of the street, the driver used the momentum of the roll forward to try to make a slight turn back into the neighborhood street however ran out of momentum and got stuck in the middle of the street again with the car now rolling backwards. The driver hit the brakes again to prevent the rollback and because the car was unresponsive, the driver was stuck holding the brake from 7:21 AM to around 8:45 AM. At 7:37 AM the car went black and many of the controls started to glitch (we have videos but the uploader tool is limited to photos only) Due to the car now being completely blacked out, the brake is very heavy and the slightest movement will cause a rollback. After several attempts to get ahold of Fisker including their roadside assistance and live chat, the driver was unable to get help and called the police instead. The car had to be towed and has been out of commission ever since. A Fisker technician has tried to diagnose the issues after three attempts but things are still unresolved. Fisker remains unresponsive and hasn’t even provided us with documentation of the service diagnostics despite repeated requests.

Jan 31, 2024

Loss of drive power/acceleration during operation. On two occasions in the past few weeks the vehicle has become unresponsive when the accelerator is pressed. No warning lights, sounds, or other indication that something is wrong. Regenerative breaking also goes offline but regular brakes work. Car is forced to roll to a full stop and will resume function after shifting into park and then drive again.

Dec 14, 2023

I have noticed a number of times that when I push the stalk on the Fisker, which is supposed to move it from Drive to Park, that it has gone from Drive to Neutral. I have caught this happening probably 6 or so times in the 150 drives I have taken in the last two months. The solution has normally been that I take my foot off the brake and notice the car rolling backwards before getting out, put my foot back on the brake and then put it in park. On 12-12, I was in a bit of a rush, undid my seatbelt, grabbed my bag off the seat and then opened the door and got out. Within a split second, I was slammed by the door, rolled under the door and was knocked to the ground. The car continued to roll. I was able to get up, jump in the car, and stop it before it hit another car, but it just as easily could have been a person.
