Issues since we got the car

Jul 9, 2025

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a critical safety failure of my Fisker Ocean One. This incident involved a sudden and total loss of power while driving, which created a severe safety hazard for myself and other motorists. Date of Incident: [Date the incident occurred] Location of Incident: [Name of Highway, City, State, e.g., Interstate 35, Austin, TX] Detailed Description of the Incident: On [Date of Incident], while I was operating my Fisker Ocean One on the highway, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of motive power without any prior warning. The vehicle decelerated and came to a stop in a live traffic lane, rendering it a dangerous obstruction. Immediately following the power loss, I made multiple attempts to restart the vehicle and engage "Drive." The vehicle's systems were unresponsive. Despite repeated efforts, the gear selector would not shift into drive, and the vehicle remained immobile. Shortly after these failed attempts, the vehicle's entire electrical system powered off, leaving the car completely disabled on the highway. This catastrophic failure created an extremely dangerous situation, leaving me stranded in a vulnerable position and at high risk of being struck by other vehicles. The inability to move the car, even to the shoulder, constitutes a grave design or manufacturing defect. Given that the manufacturer, Fisker Inc., has declared bankruptcy, I am not filing this complaint with the expectation of a warranty repair or corporate response. Instead, I am submitting this report to formally document this dangerous defect for public safety records and to urge your agency to investigate this issue. The sudden and complete failure of the powertrain and electrical systems in the Fisker Ocean presents a significant risk to all owners and the public

ADAS warning lights often go off while driving - distracting to driver I am still getting errors , even after water pump replaced (recall 24V499000 (Water pump)) as car still gets errors and shuts down, comes to a COMPLETE STOP WHILE DRIVING. incredibly dangerous. Water pump recall replacement cost me $201.20 in labor costs.

Front passager side door will not open when unlocked. This door handle was a replacement for the original handle that had the same defect. The second handle was installed in March 2025 This then would be the second handle that failed

Incomplete Software updates. Unreimbursed recall repairs. Removal of connectivity and car safety features.

Jun 2, 2025

Apr 2024 vehicle stopped connecting to cloud. Unable to get software updates OTA. Dec 2024 Paid to be updated to 2.2. But don't think I recieved full update due to a portion that need to be done OTA after manual updates. Jan 2025 vehicle randomly goes into park and all doors unlock when the vehicle is in park. The following recalls still have nor been done... July 2, 2024NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000 Water Pump Failure Can Cause Loss of Drive Power A sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. June 20, 2024NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V466000 Door Handles Can Stick and Fail to Open A door that fails to open can prevent occupants from exiting in an emergency, increasing the risk of injury (This is happing now starting Mar 2025)

Software update 2.2 was not fully installed in my vehicle per bankruptcy and NHTSA regulations. The has issues locking and unlocking, often locking me inside while in the vehicle. The alarm has gone off randomly while the car is in sleep mode in the garage. Error codes intermittently and randomly. Sometimes the car will not shift into drive, neutral or reverse. Interior lights come on without being able to be turned off causing concerns of electrical malfunctions and overall safety of the vehicle operations. All of these concerns have been occurring ever since I acquired the vehicle in the fall of 2023 and continue to happen daily.

May 29, 2025

I am having a lot of software and adas faults. I payed for the 2.2 software update and then I was sent OTA a 2.2.2 update which is older and worse and now I have a lot of faults. Not safe

There is an outstanding water pump recall on my vehicle. It has never been addressed and has never been fixed. The vehicle can lose power at any given time and is not drivable. Fisker has gone bankrupt and there isn't anyone to address this safety issue. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED! IT IS A ROAD HAZARD ! 24V499000 (Water pump)

May 24, 2025

We have issues with transmission, braking, AC, and warning lights as well as the radio.

My Fisker ocean is unable to connect to the cloud following the recent disconnection by American Lease. My vehicle is still on software 2.0 "On June 5, 2024, Fisker notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of two recalls for Cluster Telltales and Powertrain Modules. Both issues are addressed with the OS 2.1 software update." What is the path to update my vehicle?

May 20, 2025

Vehicle recall 24V499000 was a sudden loss of power due to a faulty water pump. Fisker or its assigned agent in the bankruptcy proceeding was supposed to replace the water pump including labor and part, free of charge to each owner affected. I had the water pump replaced through a Fisker authorized recall location, privately owned, and was not charged for the part. However, I was charged $228 for the labor to install of $228.00. Fisker, or the party held responsible in the bankruptcy to do the recall, should reimburse owners for the labor to install the part, as required by NHTSA in this recall.

May 20, 2025

Fisker, through an authorized party in the bankruptcy, was directed by NHTSA on any safety recalls requiring a software update to update affected vehicles to software "Version 2.2." This new version of the software was designed to address NHTSA's safety recalls on the vehicle. In early 2025, I received an update to the software entitled "Version 2.2.2, which, based on available public information, is an incomplete portion only of software "Version 2.2." If true, recall 24V404000 was not completed as directed by NHTSA. NHTSA should investigate whether those owners having new software versions "2.2.1" or "2.2.2" received all of the required software updates needed to address outstanding safety recalls for the vehicle that were supposed to be resolved by an OTA software update, namely "Version 2.2."

May 18, 2025

Several Fisker Ocean recalls have been issued including 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) and 24V499000 (Water pump). On the first recall, I was not provided the 2.2 software as the recall provided - on or about Feb 19th I received a partial update to software version 2.2.2. Since that time, I have been waiting for the full 2.2 recall, but that is not longer possible as the recall administrator cut off all cloud and wireless access to my vehicle (and many others on Thursday May 15, 2025. On the water pump recall, I will need to drive 330 miles from De Pere, WI to Peoria, IL to have this work done on June 16th. There is no process or plan to cover the costs from the recall administrator so at this point I'm looking at spending about $500 plus travel costs of $225 to have this work done and no way to be reimbursed ($375 for a (manual 2.2 update, water pump replacement, and all door handles checked 24V466000 (Door Handles).

May 15, 2025

All Fisker Ocean vehicles were supposed to receive a full 2.2 OS update. However, I received 2.2 (2/3) partial update. I have waited since end of 2024. No full update was ever pushed via OTA on my Fisker Ocean One. I'm the very first Fisker owner. The full 2.2 OS update will fix many software bugs which still exist on my vehicle today.

May 15, 2025

My Fisker Ocean ICC infotainment screen and the lower climate and sound control panel have stopped functioning. Initially it was restarting on its own once in a while. Once it was able to get booted up, all eletronics, vents and sound controls were still working. However, ICC has now been blacked out and stays in start loop every 5 mins. I have fully lost the climate control and sound system. It has created a dangerous driving environment as the windshield cannot be defogged at bad weather. I lost heat and AC along with the sound system and other electronic controls from the ICC.

May 12, 2025

There was an NHTSA-mandated water pump recall for this vehicle, and I had the pump replaced on March 16, at an out-of-pocket cost of $175. I have been told (by the Fisker Owners Association) that this cost is supposed to be reimbursed to me, but that there is currently no way for me to request that. Why not?

May 12, 2025

There was a formal recall on waterpumps for Fisker. I have had the waterpump replaced, but Fisker owners were due a $75 refund on the cost of the pump (Not the labor). I have not received said refund. The old pump is no longer available, but I can produce a receipt to show that the work was done by a recognized Fisker servicer. Had I not gone forward, the risk was that the electric motor would stop working.

May 12, 2025

The Fisker Ocean was delivered with door handles that have major physical defects, including entrapment inside the vehicle in the case of 12V power loss and users unable to enter the vehicle. In my case, I have installed an emergency door hatch release myself in the trunk of the car to prevent entrapment. I have also ordered the new Gen2A door handles manufactured by Chevalier. These Gen2A door handles should have been provided free of charge to all Fisker Ocean owners if the company still existed. I believe we should be compensated for faulty and dangerous door handles. American Lease, the company now responsible for the fleet of Fisker Oceans, should pay for the handles and the repair cost. I have included the receipt of the door handles I had to purchase, but this does not include the labor cost to install them (at least $1,000). In addition, the Fisker Ocean was delivered with problematic rear reading lights that turn on randomly due to a faulty metal switch. This means the light can turn on when the car is parked and off, or even more dangerously, while driving (especially at night). I removed the switch. Finally, the Fisker Ocean was delivered with electrical wiring that was not properly waterproofed causing many, many errors for users. I have taken off the front and rear bumpers to properly waterproof these wirings, taking hours of my free time to protect connectors from water ingress. This is unacceptable for a car that was produced in 2023-2024.

May 11, 2025

Difficulty getting recalls completed due to overcharging by Indigo and other entities. Have not gotten complete software update needed for the recall. Partial update has severly decreased range of car, making it much worse than what it was beforehand. Lots of errors popping up because of faulty update and faulty software before it, so many that I don't know what is true or not. So, may be missing true safety issues. Need to pay to replace water pumps myself because monies have not been freed up (this is part of another recall). Extreme difficulty getting service because of over charging for FAST tool needed for servicing.

May 4, 2025

After receiving the 2.2 OTA UPDATE, I have lost the Pedestrian warning sounds at low speeds which are required to pass State safety inspections in my state of NC. Without this function the vehicle can not be heard moving down the streets at slow speeds below 18mpg which is a Hazzard. Also the reverse function has lost the warning sound.

Apr 30, 2025

An over the air software update was sent and has messed up my car causing it to not sleep, run high voltage and 12v battery down. I have lost 4g connectivity after this update as well.

Apr 30, 2025

I paid out of my own pocket for a safety recall, with no evidence I will ever be refunded, and the recall team has un-done my recall update. This is the 2.2 update that was put in place to fix the potential issues with the safety of the vehicle. I do not know what they have undone. I know that my system went from full 2.2 software to 2.2.2 (part2) of the update. I have no idea if they will now update the vehicle back to the safe 2.2 version, as there are zero plans, and the recall team is insisting that this partial update satisfies all the recalls. But the recall documents say 2.2, not a partial update.. god knows if it is even safe to sit in this incomplete configuration. Still no plans to get water pumps and door handles done yet either. I just started calling tech to travel to my area for these services. 10 of us are going to be paying out of pocet for these recalls as well.

Apr 27, 2025

American Leasing updated my software to 2.2.1,2.2.2, and I no longer have Blind spot monitoring, emergency braking, and lane keep assist. All Safety ISSUES!!!!

Apr 27, 2025

I am a Fisker Ocean One owner and was able to schedule time with EV Works in Bainbridge, WA for replacement of parts related to NHTSA recalls. They were great to work with and were able to complete the replacements as expected. They replace the Water Pump (24V499000) and all four Door Handles that failed the testing (24V466000). All parts were provided at no cost. However, I was required to pay out of pocket for all labor related to this mandatory free recall: $1019.28. Two other issues were looked at as part of my visit to EV Works. They inspected and waterproofed electrical connectors in the front passenger side bumper. Fisker failed to adequately protect these as part of the vehicle assembly and they are known to get water intrusion and fail. This cost out of pocket $71.60. Part of why EV Works was looking at the electrical connections is because I have an ADAS Radar Fault warning. They determined this is caused by failure of both front mid range radar components. which leaves the vehicle with no Blind Spot Monitoring. I have heard of several other owners online reporting a similar issue with their cars. I expect this is due to low quality parts used in assembly and that more cars will start to get this warning and lose the ADAS feature. EV Works quoted this replacement as $980.97 but I have not completed the repair yet. This should have been covered by Fisker warranty.

Apr 27, 2025

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The experience I had with my Fisker vehicle following the 2.2 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle un-driveable from Jun 15 2024 through Oct 26 2024. This had left me in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. As a result, I had to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is far from the experience that I expected when signing up for a free mandated safety recall. While my vehicle was functioning fine after this manual update, on April 17th 2025 the OTA team pushed a software update 2.2.2 which seems to have regressed my car to some older version which has made it unstable again. It is draining battery much faster than before and my passenger side door handle won't extend anymore. This is going to require me to get these fixed at an additional cost. Moreover, I've noticed a concerning trend regarding the frequency of issues reported by fellow owners after OTA updates.I urge you to address these issues promptly, putting more vehicles in danger of becoming un-driveable because of the safety recall process being flawed may not be helpful in this current process. Additionally, I would appreciate any assistance you can offer in resolving my current situation and compensating for the expenses incurred due to this inconvenience. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

There are multiple outstanding Recalls for the Fisker Ocean, yet my VIN returned no active Recalls even though it recognized my car. This doesn't make much sense to me. There are currently at least two critical safety issues that reached recall status, related to the Driver's Door Handle and the Electric Water Pump. Reimbursement is required by both the NHTSA and bankruptcy court and the court designated that American Lease was responsible for processing and paying those reimbursements. I need to have both the door handle and water pump recalls performed by a FISKER (FOA) approved servicing center, for the sake of my safety and the safety of others on the road when I drive my vehicle. There is currently no process by which receipts can be submitted and payments received, or for service providers to be reimbursed directly by American Lease. This violates both the court's order as well as NHTSA regulations and laws. This is going to leave me out nearly $1000, which I am, legally, not supposed to be paying, just to keep my car in somewhat safe condition for driving. Please address this so that those who purchased and acted in good faith have reimbursement as required by law. Thank you.

We have had both the door handle and water pump recalls performed by a FISKER (FOA) approved servicing center. I have 2 complaints. 1. Driving the car into the sunrise or sunset, the car generates ADAS alerts stating imminent accident, and to stop. Stopping in the heavy traffic, as the warnings told us is a safety hazard! This happened twice when driving on [XXX] in Costa Mesa, CA at [XXX] in February and March 2025. At that time, we are basically driving into the bright sunlight. Traffic was heavy with lots of stop and go between 0 mph and 30 mph. I kept at least 3-5 car distances, yet the ADAS alerts kept going off for several minutes. 2. After the latest 2.2 upgrade, our real-world range dropped from 340 miles to 280 miles. The car is supposed to be rated for 360 miles. I've had much better range before the 2.2 upgrade driving from San Diego to Los Angeles, as well as from San Diego to Central California Coast. The massive reduction in range is partly a safety hazard, as we can get stranded if we don't plan ahead to account for this bug. The bug is believed to be programming to the rear drive motor. Excess current to the motor can lead to overheating and potentially cause a fire, which is another safety hazard. American Lease and Management (AL) company acquired fleet of Fisker Ocean vehicles with a commitment to push Software Updates Over The Air (OTA) to all the Fisker Ocean Vehicles sold by Fisker. AL pushed the update to software on Fisker vehicles (including mine) very irresponsibly and as a result my vehicle is undrivable (Bricked). AL is very hard to reach, their phone number don't work. For me to get a Technician to the location where my vehicle is bricked and manually update the software to unbrick it, would cost me thousands of dollars. This should not havd happened in the first place, but because of AL negligence and lack of responsibility, there are many cars out there that are in same situation as mine is now.

Apr 7, 2025

There was a safety over the air update which happened on Feb 13 2025. After that the vehicle is completely unoperable. After the NHSTA mandated update the car does not shift from Neutral to drivable gear. It's become a brick.

There are many incidents to report. 1. No Braking consistency and sometimes a jerk forward on braking, many incidents about 10. Also loss of regen braking at times. 2. Software safety features do not work and constant warning it does not work. Mostly lane assist, automatic parking collision warning. One time reversing camera shows room with digital assist lines which did not protect or warn car of swiping another car. Only slight damage to my vehicle. 3. Driver door handle water leakage causing door to not open with NFC chip and is constantly very warm on the handle as if there is electrical current always on. 4. I had to buy a new KEY FOB as old one has failed. 5. Rear passenger door reading light will come on for no reason. Some adjustment needed. 6. Broken air vents. Poor quality plastic apparently. I did tell manufacturer when i received car and they offered to fix but unfortunately at time I had no time to come in for repair before they went bankrupt and closed shop. Regardless they used poor plastic and a fix needs a better quality plastic i found out in research with other owners. 7. Inherent Production quality of parts problem many owners are discovering with help of owner organization to find remedy.

Subsequent to Fisker Group's bankruptcy filing, I received NHTSA Safety Recall Campaign TSB30032401, which required the cabin electric water pump (EWP_H) in my 2023 Fisker Ocean to be replaced. The two authorized Fisker repair facilities in my area were not being reimbursed by Fisker for the cost of performing the recall work. I thus paid $150.00 out of pocket to one of those facilities, Premium Autoworks in Riverside, California, to perform the repair, which was completed on Jan. 30, 2025. I am therefore requesting that Fisker reimburse me the full $150.00. I do not know who to contact to obtain reimbursement since Fisker is in bankruptcy. I respectively request that NHTSA assist me in obtaining reimbursement. Thank you.

More bugs and problems after partial OTA to version 2.2.2 than before. Constant alarms and warnings that ADAS is not functioning. Driver alert monitor stopped the car in the middle of the road because it said I was not paying attention. The biggest problem is the car no longer detects the key FOB inside the car. New battery and I can unlock the car from 100+ft away. But once in the car I'm forced to hold it to the NFC. One time I started the car, jumped out to grab something from inside the house, left my key there, then drove off. With no key in the car I was able to dive about 3 miles to the store. Somehow I was able to put it back into D and get home without it shutting down and asking to hold the FOB to the NFC again. The other safety related issue is the small driver screen will not dim. No matter where I have the brightness setting manually set or on auto the screen is always at 100% At night it is very bright and is not at all pleasant to drive with. I have started putting a piece of thin masking tape over it to dim at night. I can still see mostly see things that pop up.

Mar 26, 2025

I received an update without any prior notice, and my vehicle stopped abruptly in the middle of the highway, making it impossible to move or start for a few minutes. I had to reset it before I could continue driving. Unfortunately, this issue keeps occurring while I'm on the road. It seems that software updates have been pushed, and the vehicle consistently stops whenever these updates happen during driving.

Mar 21, 2025

the car goes into neutral while driving. (Loss of POWER) Happened over 10 times. I need to pull over , come to a complete stop and start the car again. It has happened on the highway and on regular roads. Had the water pump replaced twice and a new 12 v battery installed. The problem has gotten better since but still happens. the first indication is the red batterie light turns on and then car goes in neutral.

Mar 18, 2025

While I was travelling and out of town there was an OTA update (2.2 )to address the issued recalls on my car on 2/25/2025 (OTA update 2.2 1/3) followed with another one OTA update (2.2) on 2/28/2025. In anticipation of the OTA update I had to replace the battery with a new battery in December 2024. In early March, I remotely checked on that status of my car and realized that the car is dead. When I returned home the car was inoperable due to drained battery. After extensive effort and cost of another battery I was able to get the car to turn on. However, I noticed that even though the main monitor indicated 2.2; one of the recalls 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) has not been deployed.

Mar 11, 2025

The car stopped working, is now bricked in my garage. 3 different techs came to check it and all said the car gives them weird codes. One of the techs said the front unit motor needs to be replaced which will end up costing almost $8k. but it is not guaranteed that will fix the car. This is insane. I do not know what to do, as we paid cash for it with our savings and now had to lease another car to be able to get to work.

Mar 10, 2025

The Over-The-Air (OTA) team pushed updates out to my car without warning...without any kind of notification. I was extremely upset as many cars from other owners got bricked. Luckily mine didn't get bricked but the full 2.2 updates did NOT get pushed. They picked and chose which modules they felt needed updated. So my car says it is at 2.2.2. I drove from Cleveland to Columbus to get my extra Key Fob and NFC cards programmed and was told (and I verified) that my PKC version was only version 09. This is so old that they were unable to even attempt to pair by fob/cards as it could brick the car. This is so disappointing and directly related to the OTA team not pushing the full 2.2 update which is supposed to address the recalls. This makes me very uncomfortable and upset not knowing if all the software recalls were completely addressed. The fact is...2.2 is supposed to address the NHTSA software recalls so that is what we should get. This is the certified version. Pushing partial updates out should not be acceptable.

Mar 8, 2025

Our 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra has lost power, imperiling our family on a busy urban street. Further, after an unannounced and unauthorized software update last week, I have lost the use of the vehicle's central control screen, keeping me from controlling any functions (synchronization to my mobile telephone, the radio, how I control charging, mapping functions, and critical to the car's safe operation, HVAC and defrost).

Mar 8, 2025

As part of Fisker recall, Software version 2.2 was pushed to my vehicle outside of agreed window. As a result, I am ending up with Partial update. Since I do not know what was installed/not installed, I do not know if my vehicle is safe. I need Fisker to fix as soon as possible so that I feel safe on the road.

Mar 6, 2025 Fire

My car was scheduled the first week of the updates. The car would not update. Afterward, the batter drain was very noticeable. Now there is no internet service for the car... not from Fisker and while I can verify it connects to my home wifi and mobile phone hotspot, it will not allow data to the car. I took this to a dealer to have the water pump replaced, the car updated, the 12v batter replaced, the t-box reset and the door handle inserts replaced. They were unable to repair the drivers door handle (the LED lights actually generate smoke) and I cannot use the NFC to enter the car. Additionally, one day while charging the vehicle, all of the door handles retracted when I closed the door and the key was in the car. Thankfully the rear hatch was not locked because my DOG WAS INSIDE! This car is dangerous and no one is helping!

Mar 6, 2025

I scheduled a OTA update as recommended in the recall campaigns. I was given a 48 hour window where I was unable to use the car and must keep it charged at all times. After completion I saw that the entire update was not completed. And about a week later another update came where I was not notified or scheduled at all for it. I returned to a car with a dead battery. Upon jumping the car had numerous errors and alert signs all over the display screen. ADAS was now detecting non existend obstructions in all directions and was throwing alerts constantly while driving. One two separate occassions both the drives and passenger side doors would not unlock and we had to exit via the rear doors. On another 2 incidents there was no interior lighting at night and I was unable to see the buttons to adjust my mirrors, unlock the doors, or even turn on the headlights at night. The Rear camera stopped working completely and to this day it has no signal which makes it difficult to reverse this car as the rear window is so high and small. And the remaining cameras are all failing intermittently. Furthermore the brakes have been jumpy, with some instances where the brakes did not deploy immediately but felt delayed. NHTSA recall campaign numbers are below: 24V865000 (Roll away OTA-2.0) 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1

I recently encountered a series of issues with my Fisker Ocean One (FOO) following a partial software upgrade at A1 Autobody in Fremont, CA. The service center performed an incomplete software update, leaving several modules pending for over-the-air (OTA) updates to reach version 2.2. [XXX] Software Version Discrepancies Initially, my vehicle's dashboard displayed the previous 2.1 version, indicating the absence of the critical T-REX upgrade. Unexpectedly, the dashboard later showed version 2.2 (1/3) without any notification from Fisker regarding this partial update. This lack of communication left me uncertain about the status and completeness of the software installation. Fisker App Connectivity Issues Concurrently, the Fisker App ceased functioning correctly, consistently showing my car as "offline." This issue prevents me from remotely unlocking my vehicle, a significant concern given the frequent unreliability of the key fob. This problem has been reported by other Fisker owners as well. reddit.com [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Safety and Reliability Concerns The inability to access my vehicle remotely poses safety risks, especially if the key fob fails. Additionally, the incomplete software update may affect other vehicle functionalities, potentially compromising overall safety and performance. Steps Taken and Recommendations I have attempted to resolve the app connectivity issue by reinstalling the Fisker App and re-pairing my device, but these efforts have been unsuccessful. I am seeking assistance to restore the app's functionality and complete the software upgrade to version 2.2 to ensure all systems operate as intended. I urge Fisker to improve communication regarding software updates and provide timely support to address these issues, ensuring a safe and reliable experience for all owners. My car pushed required recall updates without any indication that it was coming and the next day or two the battery died and car is now showing a red light at charging port and is stuck in neutral. I only received 1/3 updates so I don’t know if that was also the issue. It was executed poorly and bricked my car. I have no idea how to unbrick it to life.

Mar 4, 2025

Too many warning issues lights coming on and off. The main/large touch-screen completely turns off and disables the driver to use HVAC and several safety features. Unwanted accelerations when going on bumps. Mileage accuracy issues.

Mar 4, 2025

I was upgraded to the different version by American Leasing because they control the Fisker recall. They had me on 2.2 (1/3) then 2.2.2 and then back down to 2.2.1 and now I have issues with my car. no blind spot and radr errors, and the fix for taking your foot off the brake and going over bumps is gone, the car jumps forward again

Mar 4, 2025

I was scheduled for the 2.2 update (to fix various recalls) on 11/11/24, with a healthy 12V battery, connected to a tender. I left the car alone for 3 days, to be sure that there was plenty of time for the update to be pushed. When I went to drive the car on [XXX], the car would not drive. It showed to be in "N" (neutral), would not shift to park or drive, every warning light possible was lit on the dash, and the "pedestrian warning" hum was sounding. Even exiting the vehicle and locking it did not turn off the infotainment center. I was unable to move or drive the vehicle in this state, and there are NO mechanics in Arizona with a FAST tool, to diagnose or fix the car. I had a former Fisker Master Technician come change the 12V battery (which cost $305.40 for the battery, and $150 for the install), but this did not reverse the above situation. Because it was "bricked", I couldn't even charge the HV battery to keep the 12V charged, so I had to hook up a 15A maintainer to the 12V, so that the car wouldn't drain the brand new 12V. The tech also tried disconnecting the HV battery, and reconnecting it, in hopes that it would reset, but it didn't. With no FAST tools available in my state, I ultimately had to sell the vehicle at a loss of about $70,000. When the new owner tried to have it towed, the front wheels were locked, despite the car showing it was in "N" (neutral), and it had to be dragged out of the garage, and then died (12V, now no longer on a maintainer) in the street, waiting for a tow truck that could haul it with the locked front wheels. I was never able to drive it after the attempted 2.2 update, so never got the recall work completed. I was also never able to get the water pump recall done, either.

Mar 3, 2025

The car is completely bricked and will not function after an over the air update. It was functioning before the update. Additionally, I had to pay approximately $1300 for labor related to replacement of the water pump that should have beed covered under recall

The Fisker Inc has went for Chapter 7. The two recalls regarding the safety of the calls (recall #TSB10062408 and #TSB55062401) have not been properly deployed into my car, which were supposed adminstrated by the money given by Fisker Chapter 7 trustee to American Lease. American Lease has the duty to deployment the necessary tool and software update to my car. 6 months it has passed, my car only got partial software update and has no communication from American Lease as well as no driver side handle software to be released to Fisker qualified auto shops to replace the handle. American Leasing is demanding owners now have to pay for their software update, which should be free to owners.

Mar 1, 2025

Someone pushed a new over-the-air (OTA) update to the car and now it is in a perpetual state of “Installing Software” on the main screen. It has been that was for over 2 weeks. I am unable to control critical systems since the software has effectively “bricked” the car’s controls.

Feb 28, 2025

My vehicle received an unexpected OTA software update over the night if 12-Feb-2025. That process completely drained and destroyed the 12v battery. This resulted in the software download and installation not completing as intended. Since that time I have related the 12v battery, and the vehicle can drive, but essential all of its electrical components such as HVAC, cameras, and all software controls are non-functional and inaccessible. A service center has been unable to fix the problem and tell me it must be corrected with future OTA updates, but I have no means to identify, let alone contact those responsible for those updates.

Feb 27, 2025

I had to pay out of pocket NHSTA safety recall service for water pump replacement and mandatory vehicle safety software update. This is wrong and I demand investigations and refunds.

Feb 26, 2025

There were three times that after I had the car in park and tried to get out that I was unable to open the driver door to exit. The driver door out side handle did not automatically pop out to allow me to exit. I tried locking and unlocking the door internally and also tried with the car on and in park. On one occasion the window was stuck closed, probably because of icing. I ended up crawling over to the passenger side to get out. On the other occasions the door handle was popped out but I had to open the window and open the door using the outside handle. Frequently, the driver door handle won't go back in until after I have been driving for a few minutes. This seems to be the only handle with the issue of "sticking" either popped in or popped out. Occasionally when I lock it using the key fob, all the handles go in except the driver side. When I give it a little push from the outside it will go back in. At 2600 miles the NFC reader in the door handle stopped working. It is my understanding that the door handle recall was already performed on this vehicle. It is my belief that the vehicle is not better off after the recall. And that the $100 being offered to perform a door handle recall is far below the real world cost of such a service. Not to mention most techs can't get in and out of the door without leaving some damage to the panels or clips. I believe the recall on this vehicle for the door handles should not be considered completed. Or it should be reopened. There is also no emergency release strap anywhere in the vehicle for a door or window. Similar to the trunk manual pull from the inside. Please help us get this fixed. The ADAS warnings and chimes blinking lights etc are distracting as they are mainly warning for things we don't have working. Also the drivers screen flashes red to blue when changing fram accel to decel. Very distracting at night. Thank you.

Feb 26, 2025

My vehicle has been undrivable for the past 4-5 months. It started when I was leaving my work's parking lot after removing the car from the chargepoint charging station. The vehicle suddenly started stalling and gaining power when I was accelerating then losing power afterwards. I readily parked in one of the spots, exited the vehicle, locked it and unlocked it after a few minutes in hopes that it would turn on and work normally. The car would turn on, I would put the vehicle into "D" and when accelerating, the vehicle would go into "N" automatically making me lose traction and the car going forward and scaring me to death as my car was on a spot in front of a valley. Thankfully I was able to press the break quickly and and turn on the "hand brake". Now the vehicle decided to work again, but I'm extremely scared this issue will happen again and I don't feel safe. There were other times that in city the auto brake activated (as if I hit a vehicle) with having no vehicles in front of me. Other times when the "Hold" breaking system would be engaged with the gentlest taps on the brake and then the car would just go into park even I wasn't parking the vehicle (both times when the car was in movement becoming a hazard if people behind me kept accelerating). Now I just received the SW update 2.2.2 in my car but I'm not confident my vehicle is fine. My HVAC vents don't work and I can't even have my cabin heated as I'm worried about the water pump going out. I haven't received any support regarding the recalls, nor any information on how to proceed, please, NHTSA, I need help

Feb 26, 2025

After receiving 2.2.2 update by OTA team, my vehicle now doesn’t charge. It won’t recognize the charging stations I’ve tried using. I’ve tried exiting the vehicle, turn off and on, and trying again in and out of the vehicle and charging does not commence. Please help! This vehicle is so expensive and the OTA team is taking advantage of us in the US to fix bugs in the software. We are suffering with the poor preparation and support. Now if my car dies because I can’t charge it, I will have a bigger headache by having to replace my HV and my 12V battery.

Feb 26, 2025

OTA Update pushed to vehicle caused the vehicle to stop responding to any external signal. Doors will not unlock or open. Vehicle is completely unusable.

Feb 26, 2025

My complaint is regarding the handling of the following NHTSA campaigns on my 2023 Fisker Ocean One: 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) After 4 months there has been zero communication from the OTA team and the trustee regarding the OTA and physical repair work needed to address these safety defects. My vehicle is on software 2.0 and received 2.2 (1/3) unannounced on 2/12/25. There was no notice of this update other than an on-screen message after the fact, nor does it drive any differently. It does not appear to have fixed anything. Seeking your assistance in getting clarify and a timeline for the completion of these recalls.

Feb 25, 2025

This is a second and new complaint. After an unannounced over the air update my ICC module is now on constant boot loop Center screen. Fisker logo appears a blank backlit screen is present for about five minutes and then everything tries to reboot speedometer cluster screen above the steering wheel included. I will now have to travel to the nearest service center to have it repaired at my expense. I would like to add that while I’m there, I will be asking for a manual 2.2 update. The reason for making this point is that if the OTA team is pushing unannounced updates what is to ensure that after this expensive repair my ICC does not get compromised again by updating a car that I’ve already had updated manually.

Feb 25, 2025

I am still waiting on full OTA 2.2. I have been on 2.2.1 for weeks now with no communication as to when, or if, I will ever receive the mandated update. I drive my Fisker every day and experience the failed breaking when trying to stop on rough terrain, bumps, or holes in the road. This was supposed to be addressed in recall 24V865000. I am still waiting for replacement of my water pump from recall 24V499000 I am still waiting for testing and replacement of my door handles from recall 24V466000 I have constant ADAS warning lights popping up about failed RADAR system, charging port open (even though it is not), etc., from recall 24V405000 I also haven't had blind spot monitoring in months.

24V623: Safety Recall Campaign TSB10062408 - Braking Improvement Software Update - no work has been done. Fisker has never returned any phone calls I have made regarding service. Now service number and website are both not active. 24V499: Water Pump Failure - no work has been done. Fisker has never returned any phone calls I have made regarding service. Now service number and website are both not active. 24V466: Door Handles - no work has been done. Fisker has never returned any phone calls I have made regarding service. Now service number and website are both not active. Fisker may have attempted an Over the Air software update over the weekend, but it failed and the care is no longer responsive. It can not be unlocked. It can not been contacted by software. And, there is no number to contact to correct the issue.

1.) Recall Campaign # TSB30032401 Issue - I had to pay out of pocket for recall item totaling $280. The service provider used, Pat's Garage in San Francisco had not been informed of process to get reimbursement for recall resulting in having to pay out of pocket. As of today 2/24/25, there is no process for owners to get reimbursed either. The other issue is $175 to cover recall is not enough to cover the costs. Please address this issue with setting up process for reimbursement and increasing amount of recall costs. See attached invoice for services paid out of pocket. 2.) Braking Issue and ADAS Warning - Lack of Access to Recall Service - This is regarding ongoing issues that are part of NHTSA recall campaign numbers 23V865000 and 24V623000. Our vehicles brake system has not been addressed with current updates. There are only 20 technicians available nationwide to address urgent issues. I can't afford to wait for months for resolution to pay out of pocket for solutions.

Feb 24, 2025

NTSB mandated an OTA to Fisker Oceans. As a result of the poor update my car's ICC went out leaving me with very limited control over vehicle settings including all HVAC which meant I had no defroster (as well as heat this winter). No ability to control the regenerative breaking, charging settings, safety settings, etc. At one point my vehicle would no longer take any charge at all and eventually died. I was forced to fly in a technician at my own expense (airfare and his time) for him to get the car to take a charge again. He was unable to fix the ICC so I still had no control over most systems. It was only after After many months I finally got the ICC issue fixed last week so I can now control the vehicle systems. The vehicle still has false safety warning for the ADAS system which is both distracting and concerning. We rely on these safety systems and I have no confidence it will work. My car still does not have the full 2.2 update so I don't know what fixes are still out there. This has been handled horribly! For the other NTSB recall I had the water pump replaced at a cost to me of $212.50 which is more than the budgeted $175. My door handles were not replaced because at the moment they are working, but I have no confidence that they won't break next week or 3 months from now.

Feb 23, 2025

Prior to a recall-mandated update of the vehicle's operating system, I received numerous (daily) ADAS warning lights and sounds. Regen braking often (2-3 times per week) jerked the car abruptly. Additionally, the ADAS lane-keeping process was jerky. The vehicle was evaluated by an over-the-air (OTA) team and determined to be ready for an OTA update, which occurred from 11/11/ to 11/12/2024. This update was managed by an OTA team that was mandated and funded by these NHTSA recalls: 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2), 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1), and 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1). The OTA update only partially loaded, with the vehicle was at OS 2.2 (2/3) and inoperable for 2 months, from 11/12/2024 through 01/12/2025. I made numerous attempts for support during this time, with communication via the Fisker Owners Association but no information from the OTA team. After I replaced the 12V battery, two recharges, and a remote tech support, the vehicle's electrical system was again available to receive an additional OTA update yet not operable. With limited notice, the vehicle received some of the missing components of OS 2.2 on 01/23/2025, at which point the vehicle was operational again. Though at this time the key fob only connects as an NFC device, with the potential risk of the key losing security connections while driving (and thus turning off, mid-drive). This has not occurred but a technician has noted this risk and I now "velcro" the key to the NFC port while driving. I have yet to receive two additional recall repairs: 24V499000 (Water pump), 24V466000 (Door Handles). I have an appointment with a former Fisker technician who has stated that I will need to pay him directly for the service time for replacing the water pump, and then seek reimbursement from the managers of the mandatory recall.

Feb 23, 2025

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The experience I had with my Fisker vehicle following the 2.2 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle undrivable. This is leaving me in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. As a result, I will have to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is far from the experience that I expected when signing up for a free mandated safety recall. I understand that a significant percentage of vehicles (approximately 2%-5%) have become undrivable--like mine--following these updates. This situation is alarming and raises concerns about the reliability of the updates being delivered. According to owner surveys, it appears that complete updates—which include all necessary corrections—have been accomplished in less than 30% of cases. Furthermore, I was surprised to learn that only about 10% of the fleet (approximately 300 vehicles) had been updated after several weeks of attempts, despite over 800 VINs submitted for this process. This statistic raises questions about the efficiency and effectiveness of the OTA process. Lastly, I am deeply concerned about the limited number of service personnel available in the U.S., with only around 20 individuals servicing the entire country and merely 5 traveling nationwide to assist customers with undriveable vehicles. This scarcity is unacceptable and leads to extended wait times for necessary repairs and updates. I urge you to address these issues promptly, putting more vehicles in danger of becoming undrivable because of the safety recall process being flawed. It is imperative that this process is reviewed and the underlying safety concerns that have left many of us feeling unsupported and frustrated are resolved in a manner that will be free of cost and successful to the majority of owners. Thank you!

On February 19 of 2025 I went to the car and tried to start it the main screen (infotainment screen) was black just said installing software. I think this was during an OTA update that I wasn't notified in advance. I tried to reboot it in different ways but nothing worked. It is being like that since then. The car starts but I don't want to drive it because this problem.

Feb 23, 2025

Unannounced OTA update on 2/22/2025 left my vehicle undrivable and no longer operational by draining 12V battery and failed installation caused partial software update making the car no longer operational. The vehicle, now, shows it is stuck in neutral and doesn’t even sift any more. OTA update was supposedly addressing below recall related issues: 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1) For 24V499000 (Water pump) repair, I had to pay a repair shop to replace the parts directly even it was suppose to be paid by Fisker. My door handle issue (24V466000 (Door Handles)) still need to be addressed but not sure how and who will be addressing the issue. I will attach image showing all the warning lights that are on the car after the OTA update attempt.

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000.I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process, lasting 48 hours, is simply not feasible for those of us who rely on our vehicles for daily activities. The inability to use my vehicle during this window forced me to pay out of pocket for alternative transportation, which is both inconvenient and financially burdensome. Additionally, it has come to my attention that there have been numerous reports from fellow owners indicating that a significant percentage of vehicles (approximately 2%-5%) have become undrivable following these updates. This situation is alarming and raises concerns about the reliability of the updates being delivered. Moreover, the lengthy windows of 48 hours for updates, coupled with the expectation of partial updates requiring additional time, have left many of us in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of our vehicles and forced to pay out of pocket for a mandatory free recall. 24V499000 - Water Pump failure. Recalled item I have to pay out of pocket for replacement. $500.00 minimum expected out of pocket for the recall item to be replaced. Vehicle came to a slow crawl on a busy street and unable to safely move shoulder. Electrical connectors in front wheel well and rear wheel well improperly sealed causing connector corrosion and malfunctioning daytime running lights and turn signal indicators.

This is regarding recall campaigns 24V466000 and 24V499000. Three problems: 1. The nearest service center that performs recall work is over 150 miles and 2.5 hours of travel time from my home. I have concerns that the failure cited for 24V499000 could occur during the the trip there, particularly in colder weather, leaving me stranded on the side of the road, and for that reason have put off the trip until it's warmer. Of course regardless of whether I wait for warm weather or not, continuing to drive my vehicle presents a safety risk for myself and others. The only other option I have is to for a mobile technician who comes to my home, but given the small number of such techs covering the entire country, that visit would be more than 2 months away and technician travel costs are not covered by the recall reimbursement amount that is being offered. 2. If I were to make the trip that's 2.5 hours, that repair shop has been unable to acquire the tools and parts to complete recall 24V466000. 3. There is as yet no means of requesting reimbursement for the cost of having recall repairs performed. As a result service organizations and mobile technicians are unwilling to do the work for free. As I understand it all costs of having a recall are to be borne by the auto manufacturer, in this case the trustee designated by the bankruptcy court. Clearly that is not happening. This situation is unacceptable and I would ask that your agency take all steps possible to see to it that owners such as myself can have these recalls addressed with a minimum of inconvenience and zero cost.

NHTSA recall campaign numbers are below. Or can be found on this website [XXX] . 24V865000 (Roll away OTA-2.0) 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1) Here is a summary of some of the statistics the FOA has been sharing with owners on the process, you can use these to support your positions. Every week of OTA updates has had vehicles whose owners have reported them as undrivable afterward (~2%-5% usually). Windows are 48 hrs long, car is unusable for the entire window. Partial updates are expected, and another 48 hrs may be required to complete. Complete updates (correct sounds and all), per owner surveys, have been under 30%. One set of numbers shared with FOA, and then shared with owners, was that only ~10% of the fleet (~300) was updated after 5 weeks of attempts and over 800 VINs submitted for attempt. There are only ~20 US service people available for the entire country, and only ~5 travel nationwide to fix our vehicles when a car is undrivable. [XXX] Recall rates shared in the email announcement, repeated for your reference here. Up to $175 for a water pump replacement and all door handle checks $85 for the replacement of a faulty non-NFC door handle (so any door handle that is not the driver’s door handle), $100 for the replacement of the NFC’ed, driver’s door handle. $225 for a manual 2.2 update regardless of the starting software version, or $375 for all three (manual 2.2 update, water pump replacement, and all door handles checked). An over the air update was pushed to my vehicle without my knowledge. It caused my GPS to malfunction having me permently in Alaska. I do not live in Alaska! I had to remove front driver panel and reset fuse manually. I still have not received a water pump replacement or completely been upgraded to new operating system due to availability.

Feb 19, 2025

There was an unscheduled Over-The-Air software update sent to my car during early morning hours of 18Feb2025. The update did not get applied properly and now car is "bricked". I cannot open the doors even using the NFC reader on door handle. The HV battery was charged at 94%, so had enough power in my main HV battery. I was told that they will monitor the health of 12V battery before sending any updates, which, obviously they did not and now my car is inoperable.

I needed to take my vehicle to an authorized service dealer 200 miles away incurring: 1) $325 expense for a recalled water pump replacement 2) $475 expense for a battery replacement and programming 3) $495 expense for a software update than was incomplete due to failures of the FAST tool. 4) $200 hotel expense due to massive delays in the time needed to do these repairs. I will incur additional expense to return to this dealer to complete the software update and to address the warning lights about safety features being that appear over and over on the dashboard. The latter is enormously stressful and at unspecified cost to my health. I will also need to incur additional hotel expense. I am happy to testify to the fact that Fisker should be held liable to profiting at the expense of owners, selling and distributing a car that is unfinished and has no warranty, and may be responsible for the loss of lives in the longterm.

Feb 18, 2025

The vehicle's door handles work intermittently, sometimes preventing driver or passenger escape. Recall 24V466000 still has not been performed due to parts availability. ADAS system is inoperable, causing a safety issue - forward collision warning is inoperable, adaptive cruise control was never activated by the factory, the blind spot monitor does not operate, lane departure warning does not operate. An unscheduled over-the-air software update was completed in the last week which has now rendered the vehicle's ICC inoperable, and causing the gauge cluster to reset at regular intervals while the vehicle is in motion. This creates an incredible safety issue as I lose visibility of speed, turn signals deactivate. The vehicle also goes into 'park' when stopped for a red light or stop sign if the driver's weight is shifted at all, causing an unsafe situation attempting to find the key to put it back into 'drive.'

Feb 18, 2025

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability, I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. Yesterday I was able to address the water pump recall however the list service cost $340 opposed to the listed $175. This is a mandatory recall and I had no choice but to pay for the replacement of the water pump. Please help. This vehicle has become an incredibly unsafe and a financial burden. Mandatory recall service should be free to the vehicle owner. I feel American Leasing is fleecing vehicle owners. They were given the responsibility to Shepard the recall process and they are failing to do their job by paying full reimbursement $340. Thank you for watching out for us.

Feb 18, 2025

I received a letter from Fisker in Sep 2024 about NHTSA Campaign number 24V623 which was about braking Improvement Software update. It's now Feb 2025 and nothing has been received over the air. For the past several months there's a weird clicking feeling when applying the brake pedal and I assume that's what this Over the Air update was to address. The closest service place that can force an update is 60 miles from me. They charge $450 to this update and it's not a full update, so I don't even know if the brakes would be "fixed" by paying this amount. The above is my largest concern, but there are still the following recalls I can't get addressed: 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) I live in Los Angeles and no one can fix these for me (not even the above service center that can do the software update due to lack of parts). The door handles feel like a miracle every time they open and the warning lights in the car go off CONSTANTLY while driving and there is no way to turn them off. They are a major distraction while dirivng both visually and audibly. This has been going on since I received the letter in September of 2024

Feb 18, 2025

On [XXX], I was exiting the freeway and went over a slight bump in the exit lane. I went to engage the brakes, and my car lunged forward (24V865000). Shortly after turning left from the freeway exit, my car began to stall and shut down - displaying an issue with the main battery. My car kept stalling and shutting off and had to be towed (24V404000). I had a mobile tech come out to try and repair the car. He replaced the 12v battery and ensured the PDU / front of the car was functional and working properly. He determined that there may be an issue with the High Voltage Battery and recommended it be taken to a repair shop. He also confirmed that even though my car said it was on 2.2 Software, it was not even partially installed. I called the approved service center in Newport, CA and they informed me they would not be able to work on my car. So, I had to tow my car to Riverside, CA as it's the only other repair shop in Southern California. This incident occurred after I replaced my water pump (24V499000) in Riverside and had to pay $150 out of pocket. My car has been in the shop for at least 2 weeks and I was told it may not be repairable. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

24V405000 - Constant alerts are very distracting while driving, causing me to have to verify if the warnings can be ignored or if it is a major issue. This does not pertain to just one alert, but the automatic emergency braking warning, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance warning all send notifications that they are not working at various times. Also, my version is at 2.2 part (2/3). It's not fully updated and I'm not certain if the fixes were implemented correctly. On 10/26/24 I went to see a mechanic, Roush Restorations LLC, who serviced my water pump recall. It cost approximately $230.

The regen brake male function with any bump in the road making the control of the car more difficult especially when the regen has been engaged before hitting the bump in the road as the vehicle accelerates and now I have to slam on the brake to avoid getting close to the car in the front of me or and avoid rear-ending it. The ADAS malfunctions randomly and more often when any rain, fog, and or strong light is facing the vehicle. The emergency collision braking stops working, along with several other safety systems such as forward collision, blind spot, and lane-keeping assistance. When I was driving and had been relying on the blindspot monitoring and notification and wanted to change my lane there were no notifications, because the blind spot monitoring had stopped working, and I encountered another vehicle in the lane that I was trying to merge; it became very dangerous and now I had to take evasive action to avoid a collision. The driver's door with NFC does not work anymore. I received the following recall letters a while back. 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1) My understanding is that some of these were supposed to be addressed through the OTA software upgrade OTA-2.1 and OTA-2.2 but as of this submittal I am still on 2.0 and have not received any OTA update. These problems are ongoing and thus there is no specific date that I can pick in the next section so I will just pick a random date.

Steering this car in the snow has proven extremely dangerous. ice on the road causes the Wheels to accelerate to extremely high speeds as they slip and try to gain traction. But this often has a negative effect of losing control of the vehicle. A number of times I have nearly crashed into other vehicles even at very low speeds because of this. In a related issue, regenerative braking in the ice is also extremely dangerous for a similar reason, The vehicle attempts to apply the brakes too hard in slippery conditions which then causes it to start sliding out of control

I have not been contacted by the manufacturer for previous mandated safety recalls including an issue with the water coolant pump and the software update to version 2.2 which is supposed to fix a number of software safety issues. With the company bankrupt, I have no idea how I will receive these safety recalls

NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000, 24V405000 and 24V623000 As a result of a partial OTA SW update, my vehicle has bricked - battery is drained, leaving vehicle inoperable and inaccessible - I cannot even open the door to access the vehicle. I've have my 12v battery plugged in, but is drained beyond chargability and the main HV battery will no longer accept a charge. My vehicle no longer functions, I cannot use it for daily nor even emergency needs. The experience I had following the 2.2 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle undrivable. I will need to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is supposed to be a free mandated safety recall. Moreover, a concerning trend regarding the frequency of issues reported by fellow owners after OTA updates, approximately 2% to 5% experience similar problems, rendering them undrivable during the 48-hour update window. This situation not only disrupts our daily lives but also raises serious concerns about the reliability of the software updates. I am particularly troubled by the statistics indicating that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated successfully after several weeks of attempts and successful complete updates are only in ~30% of those. My vehicle's braking system, particularly as it relates to its performance over rough terrain, has not yet been addressed even though we have attempted updates. I have experienced significant brake slippage and a loss of function, which poses a serious safety risk. I cannot afford to wait months for a resolution while I am forced to pay out of pocket for alternative solutions to ensure my vehicle is safe to drive. The limited number of service personnel available in the U.S., with only around 20 individuals servicing the entire country and merely 5 traveling nationwide to assist customers with undriveable vehicles. This scarcity is unacceptable - this needs to be addressed.

Local service provider can't perform recall work for the amount provided by the Trustee

Feb 17, 2025

I was told by the Fisker service center that my vehicle CANNOT receive the required safety recall software updates without also getting a new 12V battery installed. I would like the full cost of the safety recall to be covered including the necessary new battery. Also, I was charged $325 labor to have another recall done - to replace the water pump. Here is a list of safety recalls for this vehicle and my current situation: 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) - cannot be completed on my vehicle without new 12V battery 24V499000 (Water pump) - I was charged $325 to complete the required safety recall 24V466000 (Door Handles) - inspection was not completed, service center asked for additional labor payment, which I refused to make. 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) - cannot be completed without new 12V battery 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1) -cannot be completed without new 12V battery To be clear, my vehicle's battery is fine, it is in normal condition for a 1-year old vehicle. It does not need to be replaced other than to perform the required safety recalls. I would like NHTSA to require the current bankruptcy holder of Fisker's assets to reimburse me for the labor cost of the required safety water pump replacement AND to pay the full cost of the other required safety recalls.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding ongoing issues with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V499000. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. I received on OTA update to address 24V86500 Regen Braking Issues; some 4 weeks later my car is not operable. My high voltage battery shows 100% state of charge, but my range mileage eventually dropped to zero and remains there. Even after replacing the car's 12v battery, I cannot open the car let alone drive it. While I had a technician to my house to address my bricked car, I had her do the work for 24V49900 (water pump recall). As planned, the recall part was made available to her (and then to me) at no charge. However, the fee to replace it was $345 dollars, as seen in the attached itemized invoice. 1) I had to pay this out of pocket and there is at present no way for me to be reimbursed for the recall work. I am told a portal is coming to submit a claim for reimbursement from the bankruptcy trustee's designee, American Leasing. 2) The amount currently approved for water pump replacement is $175, meaning I will have paid an extra $170 out of pocket for work that was to have been covered at no cost to owners, as mandated by NHTSA. Additionally, I have had a Lane Departure Warning Failure indicator light that has remained on for about 6 months. At best, this is a distraction while driving. At worst, the system has not been operable for 6 months.

My car is currently supposed to have a software recall that fixes the braking on this car. The install was pushed to my car overnight without any communication and now my car does not function with cabin heat. I need to find hire a technician to fix the recall update that was sent to my car. I also have had to pay out of pocket for a water pump recall on this car.

Feb 16, 2025

Hello, The bankruptcy court-ordered software fix may have addressed some initial problems, but it has also introduced several new issues. I am now experiencing a barrage of warnings related to radar, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), lane change alerts, and more. The constant alerts are not only distracting but also concerning, making me feel as though I might lose control of their vehicle at any moment. Additionally, the display system appears to have a mind of its own, further contributing to the unpredictable and unreliable nature of the car. It is shocking that this car was approved for sale in the first place, given the significant safety concerns and technical malfunctions it presents. One would expect that there are regulations in place to ensure that new cars do not exhibit warning lights or critical system errors on day one!

Feb 16, 2025

Blind sport warning and forward collision warnings keep failing and the alarms are incessant. The alarms are a major distraction with all the flashing. These are items that have not worked since the car was delivered and Fisker, Heights, and the FOA have all failed to address this. Another car handle has failed. The driver rear handle has failed, in addition to the passenger rear handle. This effectively locks people in the car, in those respective seats. The door cannot be opened from the inside or outside.

Feb 16, 2025

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process.Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. Furthermore, the fact that there are only approximately 20 service personnel available nationwide, with a mere five traveling to assist customers whose cars are rendered undrivable, is simply unacceptable. This lack of support exacerbates an already troubling situation. Given these circumstances, I urge you to address these issues

Safety issues door handle breaking issues safety noises paid extra money for water pump and fees for door handle modification

Feb 16, 2025

I had to pay for labor to perform the recall with NHTSA campaign number 24V499000. The service provider did not have the tool necessary to perform the recall with NHTSA campaign number 24V466000. The next closest provider who might be able to do the door handle recall is 487 miles away, the cost in time or money to either drive the car myself or ship the car to have that recall work done is unreasonable.

Feb 16, 2025

Some Issues that my car has: 24V623000 Regenerative breaking is not working correctly. It has delay! 24V499000 Water pump is not working correctly. One time in the freeway, my car lost the drive power. 24V466000 Door handles stuck and failed to open several times. One time in a shopping center, when I got out of the car, all door handles got stuck, and I could not open the doors to help my kid in the car.

Inability to have Recall Work Completed and Fees Being Charged for Recall Work I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability, I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. I have purchased a new battery and battery tender to address my vehicle from "bricking" from these OTA updates after reading many 12V have failed during the process. This is unacceptable for any customer who relies on their vehicle for daily transportation. Additionally, the lengthy 48-hour windows during which our cars become unusable only exacerbate the frustration and inconvenience faced by owners. The expectation of partial updates, followed by yet another potential 48-hour downtime, is not a practical solution. Furthermore, the feedback from owner surveys suggests that complete updates, which should ideally resolve these issues, have only succeeded in under 30% of attempted vehicles. This raises serious questions about the efficacy of the OTA update process and its implementation. As such, I and many others have turned to hiring a mobile technician to manually load the software updates. I have had to also do the same for the water pump recall. I should not have to pay $1700 in travel expenses and $250 more to have the software updated. Also, the $170 reimbursement rate being paid by American Leasing for water pump replacement is below the market rate. The market rate is $250-$260.

Feb 16, 2025

In early October 2024, my Fisker received over the air software update 2.2. This software update bricked the car, rendering it in operable, and I was unable to even unlock the vehicle. I managed to get in through the back window, and triggered the alarm when I tried to start the car. The vehicle was inoperable for 2 1/2 months, until I located a technician, at my own expense of close to $2900 to fly out, diagnose the problem, and Unbrick the car. The technician was able to get the car running and reinstall most of the software, but the software update damaged the ADAS controller in the vehicle, rendering it in operable. It hastaking me over a month and a half to source a replacement part, and I purchased one at a cost to myself of approximately $400. I still have to go through the process of having a technician recode the module, and install it, at what I think will be a cost of least several hundred more dollars. At this point I am out of pocket nearly $4000 because of the software update which damaged the vehicle. As of yet, I do not know if I will be able to successfully complete the software 2.2 update, which is required to complete / remedy these NHTSA recalls 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1)

Feb 15, 2025

Hi, I don't have a functioning car. It is bricked due to an update from 2.0 to 2.1 (en route to 2.2). I've experienced all the normal stuff like my Brakes wouldn't work as expected and the ADAS Warning Beeps were going nuts... But currently, there was a forced, OTA Update that I did not consent to and now the car does not move (or turn on). I'm concerned about the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The experience I had with my Fisker durning a 2.1 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle undrivable. This is leaving me in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. As a result, I had to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is far from the experience that I expected when signing up for a free mandated safety recall. Moreover, I've noticed a concerning trend regarding the frequency of issues reported by fellow owners after OTA updates. It appears that a significant percentage of vehicles—approximately 2% to 5%—experience similar problems, rendering them undrivable during the 48-hour update window. This situation not only disrupts our daily lives but also raises serious concerns about the reliability of the software updates. I am particularly troubled by the statistics indicating that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated successfully after several weeks of attempts. With such a limited number of service personnel available nationwide, it is alarming that many owners like myself are left without adequate support during these challenging times. I urge you to address these issues promptly, putting more vehicles in danger of becoming undrivable because of the safety recall process being flawed may not be helpful in this current process. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer in resolving my current situation and compensating for the expenses incurred due to this inconvenience. Thank you :)

Feb 15, 2025

During 2.2 update which was supposed to fix multiple mandatory recalls that I had to pay out of pocket ($750) it caused my infotainment System to not come up which affects the entire car safety systems, my 12 volt to die and leave my car inoperable, radar is inactive and car will not reset. The update did not go through correctly. Manufacturer will not do water pump recall which is mandatory and the cars automatic door handles will lock you in sporadically which was not fixed in the update. Also random lights will turn on in the car while driving.

Feb 15, 2025

A water pump was recalled. Since the auto manufacturer, Fisker LLC, filed for bankruptcy, I have no warranty or service help with the vehicle. I had to purchase the part and pay a technician to install it. The cost was $200.00.

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. I was forced to pay to have my software updated to alleviate the concerns as the recall was not being performed properly. This situation is unacceptable, and I urge you to take immediate action to address these critical issues. I look forward to a prompt response.

After an incomplete update to a mandated (part of a recall) software version 2.2, the following happens constantly: Vehicle lost the pedestrian alert noise after the incomplete software update. The lack of the legally required pedestrian alert noises are a safety concern for those around the vehicle. Constant ADAS warnings that are extremely distracting, made even worse when driving in challenging driving conditions, like rain, snow, fog or in the dark. After the incomplete update to software 2.2, the 12V battery was drained and now I get frequent low battery warnings and/or the vehicle won't start or won't unlock. Exacerbating the problem is the sad fact that there are no service centers for Fisker vehicles to have warranty or service done to the car. It is extremely difficult and expensive to find a technician willing to work on this car and a simple 12V battery replacement or update the software in person takes months. Many owners have reported getting stuck inside /outside the car and not being able to open it. The high voltage battery state of charge ( SOC) and mileage have dropped immensely after the incomplete 2.2 update. The high voltage battery loses about 10% in 8 hours (parked overnight) and while driving you see the range being significantly less than before. I lose more battery charge fro. being parked at home than while driving and need to charge the car constantly.

NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000 There is an active recall to replace water pumps. It is very difficult to get a technician to do this as there are very few peop,e in the entire USA that ca work o. these vehicles. Additionally we have to pay out of pocket not only for travel fees and hotel stays for the mechanics, but we need to pay for the installation too. his is a serious safety issue that is supposed to be free of charge but we are forced to pay put of out own money. Pedestrian Warning Sounds Gone I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Following an attempted OTA software update for the safety recall, I have noticed that the pedestrian alert noises are missing, which poses a significant safety risk not only for those around the car but also for the occupants inside the vehicle. This situation is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the vehicle’s safety features. Moreover, it has come to my attention that a concerning number of owners have reported their vehicles as undrivable following OTA updates, with 2%-5% of vehicles experiencing such issues weekly. The current 48-hour update window renders my car unusable, and now I require another session, an additional 48 hours to complete the update only adds to my frustration. Based on owner surveys, it appears that complete updates, including the correct sounds, have been successfully implemented in less than 30% of vehicles attempted. Given these concerns, I urge you to look into the situation with my vehicle and the entire process. I should not have to pay out of pocket for the safety recall and restored function of pedestrian alert noises, nor the cost of a rental car. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.

Inability to Schedule Recall Work + Lack of Availability I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. My software update in incomplete and defective, My car is worse off with constant ADAS warnings, lost pedestrian warnings sounds, 12V depleted to name a few. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. I was also alarmed to learn that after five weeks of attempts, only about 10% of the fleet—approximately 300 vehicles—have been successfully updated, despite over 800 VINs submitted for these updates. The lack of service personnel, with only around 20 available nationwide and just five who can travel to address undriveable cars, only adds to the urgency of this matter. It is imperative that this process is reviewed and the underlying safety concerns that have left many of us feeling unsupported and frustrated are resolved in a manner that will be free of cost and successful to the majority of owners.

Lack of Access, Inability to Use Vehicle During Recall, Out of Pocket I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Complete updateS have been accomplished in less than 30% of cases. I urge you to address this problem immediately. Thank you.

The car has issues with braking over a bump, it stops breaking momentarily. There is a recall for this however the company charged with performing the recalls is now getting the work done or leaving it up to the owner to pay for the parts and labor of the recall. There is also a recall for the cabin circulation pump and door handles, again owner will be charged for labor and parts. TSB10062408, TSB30032401

The current OTA process is a disaster! The first update attempt was incomplete with only 1/3 of the update installing. This caused issues and all subsequent OTA attempts failed, causing me not to be able to drive it for days and weeks at a time for fear of my safety and that of others. Ultimately, this resulted in me paying for a tech to fly to TN to finish the update in person, and complete the water pump recall. Since I was left in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of my vehicle I became forced to pay roughly $1,000 out of pocket for a mandatory free recall. I have yet to be reimburse for any of this cost, and frankly this should not have happened if the OTA process worked AND there were more techs available in the US to help people. I supposedly now have all of the updates for the car and the water pump replaced and this was all supposed to be free. This is on top of the NEW 12V battery I had to buy (another near $300) in order to allow updates to be installed because of the unsafe update process. I urge you to address these pressing issues with the OTA update process promptly. I believe that a more efficient system should be considered. Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns.

Based on NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000, 24V405000 and 24V623000, I was supposed to receive over the air updates that was to fix braking issues with my vehicle, as well as other issues with the driver's assistance features. I have not received these updates yet. I do have regular issues with the regenerative breaking cutting out, and would like to receive these OTA updates as soon as possible. According to the Fisker Owners Association: Every week of OTA updates has had vehicles whose owners have reported them as undrivable afterward (~2%-5% usually). Brakes are a safety issue which should be addressed in 2.2 OTA. Constant ADAS warnings can be a distracting safety issue for partially updated cars. The lack of the legally required pedestrian alert noises are also a safety concern for those around the vehicle. There may be others, of course, but remember we would like the NHTSA to look into the SAFETY RECALL PROCESS. Be sure you have a safety reason to back up your selection.

While receiving an Over the Air recall update from American Leasing on my 23' Fisker Ocean One the car bricked....making it completely inoperable. Both 12v battery was good and the car had a SOC of 78 percent. American leasing hasn't responded nor to I can get the information from them.

Unknown. Have you ever been afraid to drive a new very expensive vehicle? Well I can say with certainty that I have. This is why I could not wait any longer for the recalls to be “taken care of “ through Fisker. I had to pay a past Fisker technician to come to my house to do the recalls. This included almost $300 just for travel fees. Water pump recall 24V499 cost $246.88. Powertrain modules recall 24V404 and Cluster Telltales recall 24V405. Also recall numbers 24V623 and 24V865 for the “new” software recalls. Total cost $199.95 for software update to OS 2.2. I now consider my Fisker Ocean to be the vehicle that it should have been when it was delivered to me. Although now I am having to worry about water getting into some electrical components in the front right wheel well causing electrical components to fail while you are driving the vehicle. I try not to drive it in the rain and only clean it with a waterless cleaner. Lastly, I had my battery replaced (for a cost of $358.95) as the one that was used my Fisker was a below average non trustworthy one.

Urgent Safety Recall Complaint – Lack of Updates & Service Access Dear NHTSA, I am writing to express my serious concerns about the ongoing safety recall process for my vehicle, including NHTSA Recall Campaign Numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. There are currently six active recalls, and I have not received the 2.2 OTA update to address braking system failures, persistent ADAS warnings, and the missing pedestrian alert noise, all of which pose significant safety risks. I have experienced brake slippage and loss of function, especially over rough terrain, which remains unaddressed. ADAS warnings continue to be distracting and dangerous, and the required pedestrian alert sounds are missing. Despite attempted updates, many vehicles, including mine, are still affected. Owners report that 2-5% of vehicles become undrivable post-update, requiring up to 48 hours to install, with some needing another 48 hours for partial fixes. Only 10% of the fleet has been updated successfully after weeks of attempts, and under 30% of updates have fully resolved issues. Adding to the frustration, there are only about 20 service personnel nationwide, with very few traveling to assist affected owners. This leaves many of us without timely support and forced to pay out of pocket for alternative transportation. This process is deeply flawed, and I urge NHTSA to investigate the recall system’s failures, update delays, and lack of adequate service access. These critical safety concerns demand immediate attention. Thank you for addressing this urgent matter. Sincerely,

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which is distracting and dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Given these circumstances, I urge you to address these issues promptly and transparently.

The brakes will have pressure then go beyond the original stopping point seemingly no to stop the car and first reaction is to press harder which causes the car to stop more abruptly than attended in the situation and causes panic with driver and potential a wreck from behind. ADAS warnings are constantly triggering especially when raining causing me to continuously look at the dash which can be a distracting safety issue. The lack of the legally required pedestrian alert noises are also a safety concern for those around the vehicle. NHTSA recall campaign numbers for the software recalls are 24V865000 and 24V623000

There was a NHTSA mandated recall on the Water Pump of Fisker Oceans for which was suppose to be paid for by the Liquidating Trustee's Designee of up to $175.00. I had the pump replaced on 10/4/2024 at which time there was no payment from the Trustee and I had out of pocket costs of $313.48. As of this date (2/13/2025), I have not received any reimbursement for my out of pocket costs.

Feb 13, 2025

My water pump was replaced as part of recall, however, i had to pay out of pocket for pump and labor. Iam unsure my ADAS and warning system is working and automatic breaking is working. This is so unreliable system and can't be trusted. Manufacturer had shown no effort on delivering the quality and safety.

Feb 13, 2025

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability, I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

My windshield was hit by a stone in April 2024, and I have still been unable to source a replacement windshield. My driver seat belt sensor went out and froze the rear brakes. I had to burn through the brake pads to get the car off the road, and had no rear brake pads until I was able to locate a salvage pair and new rotors to repair them, and a new seat sensor. The cost of this work and parts is $1,335.31. I had to pay to have the recalled water pump replaced. The cost of this was $325.

Vehicle needs software update to 2.2 NHTSA (Campaign Number: 24V405000) but there is no contact regarding when this will happen. The ADAS Warning system has had a warning light on since I received the vehicle. I had to disable audible warnings because they were distracting and dangerous. Also, the vehicle needs a replacement water pump (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000) and measurement of door handles (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V466000). I have not used the vehicle for long trips for fear of water pump breaking causing me to be stranded. Fisker trustee has not made the recalls noted above available to me as an owner. I've been locked out of my car twice for 30+ minutes. The anxiety of being able to get into the vehicle is unnerving and I can not take my dog with me and leave him in the car as I run errands for fear of not being able to unlock the vehicle when I return, as happened to be in March 2024 and April 2024. The Trustee needs to be forced to provide all owners with the agreed upon recalls before he is freed from the trustee duties. It has been months and there is no contact on how to get these updates. Please help.

I have all the outstanding issues out on this car and probably more. For example, sometimes the car's brakes will fail and the car can roll away. There are times when the car's regenerative braking is not working properly which decreases braking performance and can lead to a crash. Sometimes I notice that my car has a loss of power, which is concerning as it may cause an accident or worse. My water pump has not been replaced. To my knowledge, my door handles currently are not sticking, but this has not been looked at or addressed. I get constant warning lights alerting me to a safety system either not working or failing if that is even the case. I am still on software 2.0 and have been waiting patiently for the 2.2 update to address many of these issues, but have not been contacted at all from the OTA team to schedule one or been pushed one.

Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremly unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. Of the cars that were updated, mine, almost immediately the estimated range has been reduced drastically. The car was marketed as 360 miles range on 100% charge and now after the update I barely see 190-200 at 100% charge. This occured since the recall update. thats like 40-45% reduction in range costing everyone double the electricity needed to charge the vehicle and everyone I know that got the 2.2 update has been going through this issue. After running a diagnostic with a fisker tech, they mentioned it's a 2.2 update issue and no fix out there yet. However the trustee is responsible to roll this same update to other cars as well that hasn't received it. The tech explained this is occuring due to the rear motor is now throwing "flux error codes" and not functioning properly past 2.2 update which is causing the insane battery drain. In my opinion this is something that needs to be addressed. NHTSA recall campaign numbers for the software recalls are 24V865000 and 24V623000

My car was bricked as a result of the OTA 2.2 update on [XXX]. This update was mandatory as it was what Fisker was doing to satisfy a recall. To try to remedy, I replaced the 12 v battery. I also followed online guides to get the High Voltage battery going again, as it was at 0%. I used a 25 amp and also a 40 amp 12 v charger attached to the battery, and this allowed the charge port to go to blue (from red) after 20 min attached to the 12 v charger. Once I attach the HV charger cable (I have tried both Level 1 and Level 2) the light blinks green as expected but then goes to red and fails after about 20 seconds. I finally got it fixed on [XXX] as the Fisker representatives were not able to resolve. I hired an ex-Fisker Tech, [XXX], based on guidance from the Fisker Facebook group, to come and resolve the issue. The cost of getting the car back up and going included: 12 v Battery $259.99 Schumacher Battery Starter/Engine Starter $164.99 [XXX] - Ex Fisker Tech travel from St Augustine $350 [XXX] - Ex Fisker Tech time and materials to resolve issue $1230 Total costs: $2004.98 INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Due to a faulty sensor in the driver seat, the car shifts into Park at random when at a red light. This is large triggered by the driver shifting their weight in the seat, which causes the vehicle to interpret that the driver has exited the vehicle. The door system will malfunction and lock the doors even when the key fob is in the vehicle when there is no one in the vehicle and all power is on. This forces the driver to enter through the trunk to then unlock the vehicle. Both are on going issues.

I received a notice of a safety recall TSB30032401 (cabin electric water pump). the pump was part was supplied but i had to pay for labor to correct the safety recall as Fisker only supplied the pumps to authorized repair shops. My out-of-pocket expense was $231.88 This work was done on 11/18/2024

Lack of Access to Recall Service I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. My vehicle's braking system, particularly as it relates to its performance over rough terrain, has not yet been addressed even though we have attempted updates. I have experienced significant brake slippage and a loss of function, which poses a serious safety risk. As a responsible vehicle owner, I trust that my car should provide a reliable and safe driving experience, especially when navigating challenging conditions. Knowing that the update process can leave a car unusable for up to 48 hours, and that partial updates might require even more time, adds to my frustration. The statistics shared indicate that only a mere 10% of the fleet has successfully received updates after weeks of attempts, which further highlights the inadequacy of the OTA process. Additionally, I am troubled by the limited availability of service personnel across the country. With only around 20 technicians available nationwide and just a handful traveling to address urgent issues, it is clear that many customers, including myself, may find ourselves in perilous situations without timely support. I cannot afford to wait months for a resolution while I am forced to pay out of pocket for alternative solutions to ensure my vehicle is safe to drive. This situation is unacceptable, and I urge you to take immediate action to address these critical issues. I look forward to a prompt response. Additionally I had to paid for install of recalled water pump as well as purchasing and install of defective door handle light covers. The NFC reader to open the car door is also defective creating a safety hazard.

24V865000 (Roll away OTA) 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power) Hi, I would like to log a complaint about the recall process related to the above. Back in June2024 my vehicle was bricked, supposedly by a failed OTA 2.1 update. The PKC ended up needing replaced. By the time I received my car in OCT2024, I was told it had been updated to 2.2 from 2.0 and that there had been checks performed for some recalls. Other expenses related to this adventure include buying a new car, rental car, extra key fob (that ended up not being the problem) and a 200 mile tow. This facility is not a recommended service provider now, and I would not go back personally. Oh course shortly after getting my car back, a technician was coming through our area to help a bricked owner. I figured I would just have a bit or preventative work done, and help the other owners split the costs. Well, upon inspection by the technician the car was not updated to 2.2 at all, only the ECUs visible to me or apps had been updated. My car was still mostly on 2.0 software modules. I ended up paying for the 2.2 update by the experienced technician. As the reimbursement rates for the recalls have just been released, and I have seen the costs of splitting travel AND towing/service center charges, I know that none of the rates will cover any of the services that remain for my vehicle. They will not even cover the travel, let alone the work, even when splitting w/ others. The 2.2 OTA updates are supposed to be free of charge, but require the car to be left untouched for 2 days, have a horrible success rates, have bricked vehicles every single week, and limited information on the process and answer to questions from anyone. Since my car was already bricked once from an OTA, and the risk of needing a tech anyway, I felt I had no choice but to take advantage of the techs experience and get the OTA in person at cost.

I have not received the Fisker 2.2 OTA update that addresses software recalls 24V865000, 24V623000, 24V499000, 24V466000 and especially 24V405000. My wife is very concerned about the reliability of the brakes and the overall safety of our Fisker. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to the complete lack of 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. I hope to see improvements regarding the ADAS system and entire process of the OTA safety recalls. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.

Over the Air Issue I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000.I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process, lasts 48 hours, is simply not feasible for those who rely on the vehicle daily. The inability to use my vehicle during this window would forced me to lose pay and be financially burdensome. Additionally, there have been numerous reports from fellow owners indicating that a significant percentage of vehicles (approximately 2%-5%) have become undrivable following these updates. This situation is alarming and raises concerns about the reliability of the updates. Moreover, the lengthy windows of 48 hours for updates, coupled with the expectation of partial updates requiring additional time, have left many of us in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of our vehicles. Water Pump Recall/Door Handles Check Recall These recalls were done as I was scared to be locked in my car. Imagine being stuck in your car. The water pump recall causes the car to slow down and go into "limp mode" meaning I could not go faster than 15mph. This could happen at any time. Imagine driving on the highway and the water pump fails. Scary My vehicle's braking system, particularly as it relates to its performance over rough terrain, has not yet been addressed even though we have attempted updates. I have experienced significant brake slippage and a loss of function, which poses a serious safety risk. As a responsible vehicle owner, I trust that my car should provide a reliable and safe driving experience, especially when navigating challenging conditions.

Feb 12, 2025

As part of the recall, there was need for water pump replacement and door handle checks. There is really nothing available to schedule the manual update of the 2.2 update or the replacement of the water pumps.. The car needs these updates and water pump recall completed and we are getting no where.. The OTA update could brick the car and there is need for manual update of the software.. There is only 1 service center that can perform this and there are additional out of pocket costs to get the recall completed... The car will become unusable or get bricked soon if the 12v battery is not replaced soon.. There are many other warnings starting to appear on the dash and this is causing inconvenience and safety concern. Need these completed and the trustee designee will have to make sure these are re-imbursed and addressed soon.

Paid $249+fluids (total $304.17 with taxes) for water pump assembly recall on this vehicle as there remains no way - despite order and agreement - for the recall to be performed. there remains no way to seek reimbursement. Also $175 limit for work is less than actual cost.

Feb 12, 2025

I have to pay for labor to replace the water pump and door handles because they are not releasing funds to cover repairs, as the court set up to be paid. The car has not been updated to the latest software, 2.2, to cover recall safety issues.

Feb 12, 2025

My vehicle does not have Adaptive Cruise Control even though it was advertised as having that feature at the time of sale. Also, collision warning and lane departure very regularly malfunction. I paid $250 out of pocket to replace my water pump following the recall. I will only be able to get reimbursed $175. This is not acceptable.

I cannot afford to wait months for a resolution while I had to pay out of pocket for alternative solutions to make sure my car is safe to drive. Attached is the invoice reflecting repairs performed and paid out of pocket, specifically for 2.2 software update and water pump replacement. I'm concerned about the limited number of service personnel available in the US. This is unacceptable that I have to pay for necessary updates and repairs. And some of the ongoing issues with brakes and malfunction warnings could not be addressed due to lack of parts, technicians, etc. Thank you for your time to consider my concerns.

The car automatically brakes falsely, which should have been fixed in an OTA 2.2 recall but hasnt. The ADAS is constantly warning without needing to. It can give ADAS warnings while the car is parked. The car is near undriveable. The recall updates have been partial at best. NHTSA recall 24V865000 and 24V623000 have not been addressed and there's been no attempt to try and fix these issues.

good afternoon. There are several recall items for this car, 2023 Fisker Ocean. None of the recall items have been addressed by FISKER LIQUIDATOR (THEY ARE IN CHAPTER 7) FOR MY CAR. THERE IS A BRAKING RECALL, A WATERPUMP RECALL, AND I BELIEVE A DOOR HANDLE RECALL. ALL OF WHICH , IF NOT TAKEN CARE OF, WILL CAUSE POTENTIAL HARM TO ME AND TO OTHERS ON THE ROAD. IT SEEMS LIKE THERE IS NO OVERSIGHT OF THE LIQUIDATOR AS THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION TO OWNERS ABOUT WHEN THE RECALLS WILL BE ADDRESSED. I LIVE IN FLORIDA, THERE IS NO SHOP DOING RECALL WORK FOR FISKER HERE THAT ISNT ASKING FOR PAYMENT FROM ME AND OTHERS.

Being that this is our only car I could not afford to wait for the OTA and its malfunctions. I was forced to pay out of pocket to a Former Fisker Tech to come to my house and manually install as well as have a new 12v battery installed costing me a total of $1,262.89. In addition I have not been able to have the water pump recall installed due to no supply and/or service. How is this legal?

am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted.

Inability to Schedule Recall Work + Lack of Availability I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. I was also alarmed to learn that after five weeks of attempts, only about 10% of the fleet—approximately 300 vehicles—have been successfully updated, despite over 800 VINs submitted for these updates.

Fisker had a nhtsa recall for water pump replacement that has now apparently been closed. This part failure will cause our new vehicle to become inoperable, causing a safety issue to the passengers as well as anyone nearby if the vehicle comes to a sudden stop (i.e. highway driving). Fisker has no repair facility in the state of Oklahoma, and has not provided this part to individuals for replacement. It would require transporting the vehicle using a transport company and losing the use of the vehicle for at least two days. Additionally, a software update has been mandated for all Fisker Oceans to version 2.2 that has added safety features, this was to be an OTA update- About 4 months have passed and our vehicle has not received this required update.

My vehicle is not shifting in to a drivable gear. Screen displays error message with no possible solution. Vehiclweis just sitting in my carport collecting dust. FISKER company and its owner Henrik Fisker need to be brought before a court and be held accountable for the gross mismanagement of the company and betraying the trust of thousands of people who bought the vehicles because of the false promises from Mr. Fisker.

Feb 12, 2025

I'm aware of multiple Fisker Ocean recalls, some of them were addressed via Over the Airway (OTA) software updates, but the interior lighting still comes on every night, remains on, and represent a security risk and negatively impacts battery performance. In addition, none of the hardware recalls have been resolved on my vehicle, probably due to the fact I live in a region with no access to Fisker technical support and the company has made no attempt to provide said technical support. Specifically, the defective water pump and door handles have not been replaced, and despite multiple attempts by me and other owners living in the region, we have not been able to secure the mandated recall services.

Feb 12, 2025

I have not received the promised w2.2 OTA software updates as previously mandated by nhtsa to Fisker. Brakes are an issue that should be addressed in 2.2. Continuing ADAS warnings continually distract when driving. I purchase new FOB and NFC cards, but they need programing. Again, nothing from the company. NHTSA recall campaign numbers for the recalls are 24V865000 and 24V623000 I have been promised software updates yet since last fall, but it appears a low percentage of owners have actually received updates. I do not have a service center near me in Ohio, but the technicians are supposed to come to me to program the FOB, NFC cards, fix door handles as well as make sure the software update gets done. FOA tells me only 30% of updates have been completed. I need action to get receive the proper response to NHTSA mandated fixes. These recalls must be done and done properly.

A recall was issued for a replacement water pump and door handles. I had to PAY for these recalls out of my pocket in the amount of $299.00.

Feb 12, 2025

I had received various notifications from NHTSA for recalls for my vehicle. I have not been able to schedule my vehicle for repairs due to various reasons starting with shop availability, additional out of pocket costs for the service. Parts are not made available for DIY because shops want to charge labor. Other repairs where to be remedied with an OTA that has not taken place. Please help

I am very concerned about these recalls 24V405 24V404 24V623 and the availability of service providers to preform the corrections as there seems to be only 20 service techs in the whole country. For these free recalls I am told to pay and then get reimbursed (From Who?)I have yet to get on any providers schedule. AS a responsible vehicle owner and operator I am looking for answers and direction to expediting these urgent safety issues.

I am submitting this complaint because my 2023 Fisker Ocean One has not received any of the six NHTSA-mandated recalls, and with Fisker Inc. now bankrupt and unreachable, there is no clear path to getting these critical safety repairs completed. My wife drives this vehicle daily for work, covering approximately 100–150 miles per day, and the ongoing safety concerns pose a serious risk to her and others on the road. The vehicle has multiple serious safety issues that remain unaddressed due to the lack of manufacturer support: Safety features are non-functional – Several critical safety systems are either malfunctioning or have stopped working entirely. NFC Card Reader Failure – The NFC card reader on the door handle has stopped working, making entry into the vehicle unreliable. Vehicle Rolling Over Bumps – The car exhibits an uncontrolled rolling movement when driving over bumps, which creates an unpredictable driving experience and a potential loss of control. Interior Lighting Malfunctions – Various interior lights turn on randomly without user input, which may indicate electrical issues. Given Fisker’s bankruptcy, I am unable to schedule recall repairs, and no official service network exists to address these safety-critical issues. The recalls mandated by the NHTSA must be performed, yet there is no viable path for owners to ensure compliance. This situation presents an urgent safety hazard, and I am requesting immediate guidance on how these safety recalls can be fulfilled to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe for daily use.

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000.

ADAS software never installed as promised and results on frequent ALARMS and WARNING LIGHTS while driving - loud distraction. Due to the high cost of preinstallation testing it will likely never be corrected. Drivers door handle sticks - recalled item never corrected. Water pump failure creating limp mode, recalled item repair never initiated. 12V battery premature failure warranty item - cost $270 for replacement and self install. Key fob does not perform as expected - creating safety and access issues. These are ongoing issues - caught in the bankruptcy finger point - but nothing is being fixed. The Fisker's should be in jail for fraud, embezzlement, etc. This is the second instance of him deceiving buyers.

Water pump recall

Feb 12, 2025

There are 4 open recalls on my vehicle, yet 0 (none) have been addressed. The Fisker Owners Association (FOA) has been trying there best, but I have some serious safety issues that need to be addressed. 1) I am still on 2.0 on the OTA software, 2.1 and 2.2 address 2/4 of the recalls, and was supposed to be installed by the end of the 2024, it was not. 2) The water pump on my car is part of th 3rd recall, if it fails my car becomes ‘bricked’ 3) My door handles are defective and 2 out of 4 do not open from the outside, this the 4th safety recall that has not been addressed. Help! what can I do to get these important safety issues addressd ?

NHTSA mandated water pump replacement for all of these vehicles. As there are no service centers for servicing these vehicles, there are only 20 certified service technicians in the entire country to provide this service. I have been unable to get service setup anywhere near my location by anything less than 150 miles away. I'm uncomfortable putting my vehicle on the road with the potential for breakdown at any time. I live in a major metropolitan area so getting a service technician to my area, within 100 miles, should not be difficult

The water pump was identified as needing replacement by NHTSA and a recall initiated and notice was sent to me to have the item replaced. I was able to find an authorized shop that had the water pump and provided the parts for free, but since Fisker had declared bankruptcy, the labor was not covered and I had to pay $316.68 for the water pump to be replaced.

1. I received letter about safety recall campaign TSB10062408 - Breaking improvement software update in September 2024. Later Fisker released software version 2.2 for the recall. However It is Feb. 2025 now, I still have not received software update (via their OTA system). 2. Unreliable Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) - warning message, such as lane keep assistance feature, blind spot warning, etc not available displayed on dashboard from time to time. 3. Infotainment screen black out into loop. 4. Unable to open window using key fob. 5. Key fob drain battery fast, have to replace battery every 2 or 3 month. 6. I having brakes issues. Brakes does not work sometimes and also it suddenly loses grip during bumpy ride. Below are the recalls which happened last year which Fisker did not fix yet. 1. Water Pump replacement: Fisker did not replace water pump for me and I had to pay out of pocket to get it replaced by third party technician. 2. Software update 2.2 to fix brake issues: I did not receive any updates and per Fisker mail notice, they said that they will fix it by end of Dec 2024. I tried to reach them to the phone number which they gave but there is no response from them. Attached the water pump replacement invoice.

Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremely unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. I had to take private services and pay money to get software update done. Of the cars that were updated, like mine, almost immediately the estimated range has been drastically reduced. The cars were marketed as getting up to 360 miles on 100% charge. Since the recall update, they now get somewhere around 220 miles on a 100% charge. That’s more than 100 miles lost. I had a technician analyze it with approved Fisker software, and he found that the rear motor is now throwing “flux error codes” and not functioning properly. This is causing an electrical issue draining the batteries much quicker than they should be. I spent $1000 for diagnostic work and there is no fix at the moment however the trustee is still responsible for rolling out this buggy software and possibly damaging more cars with each remote installation.

The recall water pump was replaced by a certified Fisker dealership (Lumin Fisker Sacramento) however I had to pay $187 out of pocket to have this NHSTA recall part replaced. Fisker was responsible for the part and installation.

Jan 30, 2025

On January 30, 2025, around 7 PM, my Fisker Ocean experienced a critical failure while parked at Ralphs Market in California. The 12-volt battery died, which completely disabled the vehicle's door locking and unlocking mechanisms, leaving me, my elderly mother, and my young son trapped inside for about two hours. There was no manual override option to open the doors or rear hatch from the inside. My mother, who had a triple bypass surgery three months ago, began feeling dizzy and distressed as we remained trapped. To minimize her stress, I asked everyone to stop talking until help arrived. Even more concerning was that multiple attempts to open the doors from outside also failed. The Uber driver, my son (who was outside), and AAA all attempted to open the doors, but none of them were successful. The door handles were in the "up" position, which should have indicated that the doors were unlocked and could open, yet they remained completely stuck. Eventually, AAA arrived, but due to Fisker’s unusual hood design, I had to instruct them to remove two bolts to access the 12-volt battery before they could connect a portable charger and restore power to the doors. This is a serious safety risk that could be life-threatening in an emergency such as a fire, crash, or extreme weather event. If we had been in a more urgent situation, there would have been no way to escape. The 12-volt battery failure has happened multiple times before, but this was the first time it occurred while I was inside the vehicle, leading to entrapment. There were no warning lights or error messages prior to the failure. The vehicle simply lost power without warning, causing a total failure of all exit mechanisms. I have not yet had the vehicle inspected by a dealer or independent service center regarding the entrapment issue, but I plan to report it. However, since Fisker has filed for bankruptcy, there is no way to contact the manufacturer for assistance or resolution. I strongly urge NHTSA to in

Jan 28, 2025

Good afternoon, I am filing another complaint per Jayson Winick's recommendation. Fisker had a number of recalls. When I tried to contact Fisker upon first receiving the notices, the company's e-mail and phone numbers became disconnected. Now, the company is bankrupt and there is no one at Fisker to fulfill the recalls that need to be completed on my vehicle. I'm most concerned about the recalls pertaining cooling units, braking issues and exterior door handles. I continue to face dangerous issues that remain unresolved. My A/C only works sporadically, especially dangerous with kids in the vehicle when it is hot. The brakes continue to give out and the vehicle lurches forward when braking when encountering uneven roads. And sometimes the exterior door handle seem to jam resulting in the door not being able to open. Currently, the Fisker Owners Association is running the show, but will not provide information on resolving recalls to non-paying members. How do I go about getting these recalls resolved? Thank you!

The Fisker Ocean has been involved with several recalls. The company is now in chapter 11. The NHTSA has required Fisker to repair several of these issues. Fisker has supplied some parts but labor was not included. In order to correct the issues with the recall I had to pay out of my pocket. In addition, after a little over 1 year I had to replace a faulty battery. The total cost for all these repairs was $1,258.29. I need help from the NHTSA to recover these costs. A copy of the receipt and the repairs done are attached.

The Center Panel commonly known as ICC does not boot up normally. The ICC basically is the central computer of the vehicle which controls all ADAS systems, HVAC, Charging, Audio and all connectivity. Since the ICC screen is blank, there is no way of controlling any of the above mentioned functions. Sometimes the HVAC blows air at 100°F and sometimes at 30°F. It also gets foggy inside the vehicle with no apparent way to defog thereby making the vehicle inoperable. Furthermore the Charging of the battery becomes stupendous because it automatically goes down to charging at 8A which takes more than 24 hours to charge.

The Fisker Ocean has a central control and monitoring screen that includes controls and settings that impact safety. This failed and is now unusable. The central screen includes regenerative braking settings, hands free phone feature, and blind spot warning lights. It also includes the climate control settings in the car to ensure one can have heat in cold temperatures and AC in hot temperatures. It also controls the ADAS settings for collision detection. With a failed control and monitoring screen all of these are unavailable impairing safe driving and increasing the likelihood of an accident. This is a common problem with the Fisker Ocean impacting safety that needs to be addressed.

The car has open recalls on it that are supposed to be corrected with over the air software updates. The update was scheduled for Thursday, November 14, 2024. The update failed. The updated was rescheduled for Thursday, November, 21, 2024. It failed. On Friday, November 22, 2024 at 3:30 PM EST, I tried to access my car but it was updating without any notice or warning.... headlights, taillights and interior light were on until 9:00 PM. I could not use the car! I checked the car on Saturday, November, 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM. The update failed. The version of the update is supposed be be 2.2 APK 1.49. It is still APK 1.47. Afterward, I could not gain access to my car without changing the batter on the remote control. The NFC reader is not working, the MyFisker app cannot be linked to the car due to a software issue and the FiskerLive App could not unlock the car, either.

Oct 31, 2024

While my 2023 Fisker Ocean One was parked in my garage in the beginning of October, the vehicle received a Over-The-Air Software Update to Fisker OS v2.2, in order to align the car with a NHTSA recall (NHTSA campaign 24V623, Safety Recall Campaign TSB11062408). I was away for a few days when this OTA happened automatically. When I returned Oct. 6, the car's keyfob was unresponsive, and I was unable to unlock the car. I managed to open the vehicle's rear hatch using the Fisker smartphone app, and tried to start vehicle from front seat, with no success. Opening the driver door triggered the alarm. Since then, Fisker technicians have been unable to recover the car, having tried numerous times to re-install OTA software, and come in person to use diagnostic software tool to re-install. They confirmed with me that many other owners have experienced this "bricking" of the Fisker Ocean. My car was also inspected by my insurance company, USAA, who did not have the expertise to evaluate, nor could provide a technician recommendation to do diagnostics. Vehicle has now been inoperable since October 6th. Techs tell me that "the PKC module and key fob need replacing, plus software 2.2 reinstalled, and this should be a warranty repair". I cannot locate any warranty service providers, nor find any solution or service technicians who can address this "bricking" . My car currently requires 4 RECALL SERVICES to be performed: NHTSA Campaigns 24V623, 24V499, and 24V404, plus a door handle recall. Please advise how I can obtain the required warranty service to get my car functional again, or provide guidance on how to obtain a buyback of the vehicle from Fisker.

A few times when I drive to a stop light/sign, the SUV engages the parking brake without my input, unlocks the door and prevents the vehicle from being driven, unless I reengage the gear back to drive. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it does not work right away and takes a few times to shift the gear. Seems to be getting worst. One time on 10/17/2024 at my work parking lot, I forced the SUV to drive by stepping firmly on the accelerator while brakes are still gripping the rotor. The EV moved slowly forward, stalled and refused to reverse. There were a couple of vehicles behind me waiting for me to move out of their way. It took a while but few minutes later, it was back to normal. I'm able to disengage the brake for some reason and drive. This isn't the first time that this happened, although this is my worst experience with the EV at this time.In addition, I have other problems with the vehicle relating to recalls. I kept getting letters from Fisker about the recalls and told me to report them to you. I'm unable to contact manufacturer as their phone number doesn't work. Fisker has filed for bankruptcy. The recalls are mostly same as being reported by other owners of these vehicles.

Two recalls from Fisker but I cannot get hold of anyone

Sep 14, 2024

After software update 2.1 vehicle bricked. Parked car in garage with everything working with 80% charge. Two hours later every fault light was lit on drivers display when stepping on the brake and showing 0% on HV battery. 30 seconds later upon stepping on the brake the car shuts off except the information screen. 15 seconds after unlocking car the charge port light goes from sold blue to red. Vehicle is inoperable. No one at Fisker responds.

-Failed: 12 V battery draining, defective screw assembly that holds the hood down, broken air vents. Inspection available upon request. -Put in multiple repair tickets/messages months ago with no response from Fisker. Phone # listed in recall mailer just rings and rings. Phone record show I've been on hold for 8+ hours total before giving up. -No inspection of components by Fisker or other service centers or insurance. What happened: -280+ miles of EV battery drained while we were on vacation for 10 days. Came home to dead battery. Bricked: unable to unlock car door or charge port. -Dangerous situation as I've read online of multiple people being trapped in their cars with electrical failure. -Called for Fisker Roadside Assistance, no response. Luckily we came up with the idea to call AAA days later. They came out and was able to jump start the 12 V giving enough power to open doors and charge port. (BTW, If my car had bricked while in the garage, it would not be possible for AAA to reach the hood screws if I'm parked up against a wall. This is a bad design) When done, AAA could not reinstall one of the screws due to faulty screw assembly that holds the hood down. We were told to reach out to the manufacturer. I have a fear for safety on the freeway as the hood might fly open (read online this has literally happened to others). No response from Fisker. -Also AC vents still not working. We live in southern CA and can't drive the car on hot days. Plus there is a fear of being trapped with no AC in the car. This would be a life-threatening situation. -Endless random error icons for ADAS, but with updates, these errors only come on once in a while now. It flashes quickly and I'm not able to read what the warnings say while I am driving. With weekly warnings we're unable to read, this could be dangerous. -Still waiting for car door and heat pump recall repairs to take place. Thank you for your help.

The vents make a grinding and clicking noise for about 30 seconds upon opening the door. When using climate control functions beyond level 2, the vents make a high pitched whistle and air appears to be partially blocked

Sep 7, 2024

The AC vents are not working. They promised to fix them under warranty, but never did. The car gets extremely hot in the summer and becomes unsafe, especially for small children. Windows must be rolled down to bring in outside air. Not safe for small children riding in the car in infant seats.

The door exterior handle lighting inserts are deteriorating, a fingernail is able to scratch off the material and natural light is causing the material to crack. There are electronics within the door handles that may be problematic for vehicle entry/exit if what is the enter the inside of the exterior door handles. Multiple owners have reported issues with the door handles to Fisker, various owners have claimed Fisker has been aware of faulty parts for a while and has not taken appropriate action.

Sep 6, 2024

2023 Fisker Ocean One dash mounted fans have failed and are closed. We cannot direct the airflow, open the levelers, or get proper ventilation and HVAC adjustments. If we attempt to increase the fan speed, the system whines at high decibels, which is ear splitting. You can't drive the vehicle safely because you can't regulate air flows, defrosting, etc. We attempted to have Fisker fix this more than 6 times and Fisker was completely unreachable for the most part. Calls and service requests went ignored. There was one time that we successfully talked to a real person, who said Fisker was aware of the problem and had no replacement parts in stock to fix the problem. This is a widely reported manufacturing problem that Fisker has acknowledged. The failed parts were 3D printed not injection molded, which made the parts substandard and prone to failure. While Fisker changed manufactures to address the issue on a go forward basis, the majority of the Ocean's received these known defective parts. To be clear, it is a safety hazard not to be able to defrost your windows and makes the vehicle unsafe to drive during incliment weather and uncomfortable to drive during clear weather as you can't regulate cabin temperatures and airflows. This should be escalated to a mandatory recall and require Fisker to address this, even if they are in bankruptcy.

Sep 5, 2024

The air vents do not function, the fan can be heard but no air comes out of the vents in the dash

Sep 3, 2024

The issue began with 1 vent not properly working. Now, know 3 of the 4 vents' mechanical functions have stopped working and cannot be adjusted via the center console. Everytime vehicle is unlocked a loud clicking noise if heard from the vents that continues for about 20-30 seconds varying. The vents not working correctly does not help clear fogging up windows that the climate change has brought about, and has caused visibility issues when fogging of the windows occurs.

Sep 3, 2024

The front air vents for the AC are non functioning. There are pieces that broke and make them unresponsive to controls for direction or sometimes in opening. They are only controlled by software. There was an internal recall for this part but

Sep 3, 2024

Unsure if this falls under the remit of the NHTSA, but any Fisker Ocean car produced by December '23 needs to have its air vents motors replaced. There are several loud clicking sounds when the car starts up which indicates that the air vent motors are faulty, and will eventually break. This will leave customers without A/C and heat.

Sep 2, 2024

- Air vent is broken - missing driver kick panel - adas system hasn't worked for several months - red circle. - cruise control stops working randomly

Sep 2, 2024

The vents have stopped operating g in the vehicle and are defective. They have been changed once by Fisker and have failed again.

Sep 2, 2024

AC and Heat vents stuck closed and do not work

Sep 2, 2024

Not working air vents. This will affect the windshield defroster.

Mutliple recalls and no way to contact FISKER- sent four emails with no reply over past week. Called help line 20 times over past month- never answered and now line if disconnected.

Aug 22, 2024

I received a recall notice from Fisker (the third one), this time regarding water pumps. It directed me to call a number that is not in service, to reach out to an authorized service provider (there are none in the USA), and to contact you if I was unable to get the water pump replaced. The company is in Bankruptcy and has done nothing to fix any of the recalls so far besides pushing a software update that itself is buggy and creates more issues. Can this company be forced to follow mandated recall procedures beyond sending out a notice that is useless and does nothing to address the issues? Again, there are ZERO authorized service providers and I have been informed by the Fisker Owners Association that there are not enough Water Pumps around to service the recalled vehicles. This is criminal activity and they should be held accountable before they are allowed to dissolve into liquidation.

Aug 22, 2024

water pump recall, vent failure, recall for braking failures, safety features not working, door handles sticking recall, non-responsive customer support, acceleration fails when pedal pressed down causing dangerous collision avoidance maneuver, ADAS features not working, no software updates.

Safety Recall Campaign TSB30032401 - Cabin Electric Water Pump NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499 Tried Contacting Fisker via telephone and number is disconnected. Submitted on-line service request although I have done this multiple times in past months and Fisker does not reply. Recall notice indicates the issue can create hazardous conditions due to not being able to keep pace with traffic or maneuver safely, thereby increasing the risk of a crash. Also aware of another recall regarding door locks where the vehicle locks and traps passengers/drivers inside. This could result in great bodily harm or death. Receive error message multiple times regarding breaking system malfunction & monitoring malfunction. Key fob works intermittently, all features of fob do not work. Vehicle turns itself off in traffic and unlocks all doors. Luckily, my vehicle restarted on those two occasions.

Aug 21, 2024

I received a recall notice for my Fisker Ocean's electric water pump (NHTSA Campaign Number 24V499). The notice advises me to contact my Fisker Authorized service provider. No authorized service provider exists and Fisker does not respond to customer phone calls or emails. Please advise how I can have this safety recall remedied. Also, interior lighting turns on repeatedly, causing a safety issue. I can't see vehicles around me after dark when the interior lighting is on. I manually turn it off, but it turns back on on its own.

Aug 21, 2024

I received a Recall Notice (NHTSA Campaign Number 24V499) regarding replacement of the Cabin Electric Water Pump for the 2023 Fisker Ocean. As instructed on page 2 of the notice, I reached out the two Los Angeles area dealerships identified on the manufacturer's website. One stated they were no longer a dealer, and the other was unreachable by phone. As further instructed, I then called 1-800-FISKER1, the manufacture's stated support number. This number has been disconnected. I believe I have exhausted all reasonable attempt to remedy this situation which, as stated in paragraph 3 of page 1 of the Notice, "....can create hazardous conditions, especially in situations where higher speeds are necessary to keep pace with traffic or maneuver safely, thereby increasing the risk of a crash."

Aug 20, 2024

As you know, there are 4 recalls on the Fisker Ocean. 1. Vehicle shifts into park on its own. 2. Door handles have a recall that prevent exiting the vehicle. 3. I was made aware through the internet that my vehicle was subject to a recall due to Incorrectly Displayed Warning Lights/FMVSS 135,101, NTHSA Campaign Number 24V405000 and Loss of Power, NHTSA Campaign Number 24V40400. The recall notice indicated that a software update to 2.1 was to be completed by June 30, 2024. To date, no software update has been received. 4. The latest recall, the water pump that cools the battery, which will fail and cause the vehicle to not be able to be driven. ( The latest recall for Water Pump malfunction is my main concern) Fisker needs to be held to account to resolve these issues as public safety is at stake with any number of failures that could occur causing injury or death of the occupants of the vehicle or others around the vehicle.

Aug 20, 2024

My vehicle has multiple recalls and was suppose to have a software update to fix "some" of the issues months ago. I have not received an OTA update and the cloud system is down so I will not be receiving said update. Further, people that DID receive this update prior to Fisker's cloud going down have reported multiple issues including their vehicle becoming bricked aka inoperable. It is an absolute joke that these care were EVER signed off on as road worthy. Someone is going to die as a result of putting these vehicle on the road before they were ready. Specifically I've had braking issues where the care accelerates on downhill slopes when the accelerator is not engaged. Numerous software warnings; my vehicle putting itself in Park while I'm idle at a stop light and then not going into gear. I had to exit the vehicle, lock it, and re-enter the vehicle to get it to go into gear.

Aug 20, 2024

A RECALL WAS ISSUED, # 24V499. FISKER SENT A LETTER ADVISING ME TO CONTACT 1844FISKER1, BUT THAT NUMBER HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED. FISKER ALSO ADVISED WE SHOULD CONTACT OUR FISKER AUTHORIZED SERVICE PROVIDER, OF WHICH, THERE NONE. THERE IS NO WAY OF HAVING THIS IMPORTANT RECALL ADDRESSED.

Aug 20, 2024

Received an email from Fisker regarding of two recalls for Cluster Telltales and Powertrain Modules. Both issues are addressed with the OS 2.1 software update. Received OS 2.1 software update on July 4,2025 after the update my Ocean One is bricking and have to toll it to my house.

Aug 20, 2024

I am writing to complain that there are 4 outstanding recalls on my vehicle, but I have not received any OTA software updates OR communications regarding the door-handle or water pump failure issues. Fisker is now bankrupt and seems to have abandoned its owners regarding these safety recalls.

Aug 19, 2024

I received a Safety Recall Notification, NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499 in the mail today. I tried contacting the number listed on the recall and the phone number is out of service. This recall is to completely replace the Cabin Electric Water Pump

Aug 9, 2024

AC not working properly, it just blows out air. Windshield is broken and needs to be replaced, but we couldn't get a new windshield from Fisker.

Jul 31, 2024

CAMPAIGN TSB70062403 & TSB70062404 - Manufacturer has not corrected open recalls for my vehicle. In addition to above open recalls, Issue 1: Faulty air vents - cooling system is dampened due to vents that cannot be opened without breaking them manually. Replacement vents and service has not been given by Manufacturer. Issue 2: Leakage from cooling system while the car is standstill. There are signs of liquid dripping from the underbody. A/C unit is not functioning as performant as it was in previous months. The A/C unit requires to be run on LO with high fan speed to even have a chance at cooling the vehicle. Manufacturer has a water pump recall and has not serviced my vehicle.

Jul 25, 2024

Braking issues related to regenerative braking configuration. When coming to a stop, rough terrain caused the vehicle to temporarily lose braking power, causing the vehicle to thrust forward as if it hit a patch of ice. Fisker has acknowledged the issue previously and stated a software update (1.1X) would solve the braking issue, however I can confirm this is not the case. Currently on 2.0 and the issue still remains. There are several spots on my daily route that cause the vehicle to lose regen/braking. Recently I was approaching a stop light and, while braking, hit a crack in the road that caused a loss of braking power and threw me into the intersection before braking was reactivated. Luckily there was no cross traffic and no one was hurt.

Jul 13, 2024

The solar roof has cracked. The car is parked outside during the day time, so is exposed to sunlight all day. However, we live in a temperate environment with highs in 70's. We don't notice any chips, but extensive cracks. We dont know how long the cracks existed, as they are pretty extensive when we noticed them.

Jul 12, 2024

There have been times when we've been stuck inside the vehicle and haven't been able to get out. Additionally, the dashboard displays a variety of safety warnings.

Jul 10, 2024

* Front air vents are not working. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. They are closed by default and there is no physical lever to control the vent. Since the vents are broken inside, they cannot be controlled from central screen. I had to pry open the vents each time when I get in a car manually with a pen or a screwdriver. And they may get closed again shortly after. * Due to extreme heat in TX weather. It is unbearable to travel in the car. Especially with kids or pets. * Fisker customer service and Fisker technician acknowledged the issue and informed that this happens to all cars that are produced prior to November 2023. I am supposed to get it fixed but as the company is in the process of bankruptcy proceedings, there is no hope to get the replacement part. Customer service phone, email, chat are not working. At the moment there is no way to contact Fisker customer service, nor can be fixed by any technician or dealer without the replacement parts.

Door Locking Mechanism Malfunction - When the vehicle stops, sometimes the doors won't unlock. From the inside or the outside of the car. Safety was affected because I could not exit the car, and if it was an emergency that would be very bad. The problem has been confirmed by other owners. It has not been inspected on my car and there were no messages or anything that let me know this was happening.

Jul 10, 2024

1.“Brake system failure “ warning has been com By on since I received the vehicle in November 2023, Fisker techs have been out 4 times to fix but it keeps happening. 2.Door locks- I have been trapped in the car and another incident that my [XXX] son was trapped in the car, on video my sons incident. Again, Fisker had been out 4 times to ny house and the doors are still malfunctioning I can’t get the car open and being trapped in the car and the car is off, we live in Florida and it’s crazy hot. 3. Lane Departure assistance and drivers bound spot assistance are malfunctioning and warning lights coming on constantly. Rear windows “doggie window” leaks in the rain and car washes . Been told a software upgrade is needed.

Jul 9, 2024

The key fob for this car was lost then found completely damaged and unusable. The driver’s door was unable to be locked though the passenger door remained locked and unable to open. Despite this, the car was able to be put into drive, reverse and park. This was able to be done indefinitely. When contacted, Fisker insisted the key fob had to be in the car to be able to do this which was a complete falsehood as the fob was found yards away on the road and run over by a vehicle and the car did not respond to it in any way. To be able to drive a car, reverse a car or make a car move without a working key fob being in the car or even near the vicinity of the car is extremely dangerous. No warning light requiring a key to be in the car was ever displayed. In addition, there is a recall on this car currently regarding the door handles which will not be able to be installed as the car is not recognized and has no connection. In summary, you have a car with door handles that can at times not be able to be opened, and a car that can be put into drive or reverse without a key. Fisker denies this can happen but let me assure you it can. It is currently at a repair shop and they will verify that this is in fact the truth.

Jul 9, 2024

Warning lights keeps coming up. Back up camera don't always work. Screen won't turn on when driving. Charge port open when driving. Also brake rattling noise from the brake pedal when coming to a stop.

Jul 5, 2024

When I parked the car I was not able to open the doors to the car. When the car is put in part the doors are supposed to unlock. Instead the remained locked and I was not able to get out through any of the driver or passengers doors. I was only able to get out of the car by going through the rear lift door of the car. This has been reported by multiple owners of the car, where people are unable to get out to the car. The safety issue is I live in an area that is very hot most of the year, especially during the summer months, reaching upwards of 120 degrees. If I was not able to get out of the car I could have been stuck in an extremely hot car. It has not been inspected by the manufacture or by anyone else at this time. I have attempted to contact the manufacture a number of times but I am not able to reach a representative. There were no warnings before this happened.

Jul 1, 2024

Unable many times to open driver side door has happened many times have videos but unable to down load video

Jun 28, 2024

In early June 2024, Fisker issued voluntary recalls to address software issues via over-the-air updates (from OS 2.0 to OS 2.1) as the software may cause the vehicle to enter a safe state protection mode, potentially leading to a loss of motor power. Fisker claimed that the update would be completed by 6/30/2024. However, as of today 6/28/24, my vehicle is still on OS 2.0 and cannot receive any over-the-air updates to OS 2.1. I keep contacting Fisker by phone and email, but nobody answers the call nor replies to email.

Jun 27, 2024

While driving through my work area with a line of cars in both directions at 25 mph, my car has issued multiple Forward Collision Warnings and then applied the Automatic Emergency Braking, which suddenly releases. This has happened several times in the same situation, causing me to nearly hit the cars to my right because I was unable to control the vehicle. I am now afraid of using this car on the highway because I might have an accident if the Automatic Emergency Braking activates suddenly, thinking the car is close to an obstacle.

Jun 26, 2024

When in traffic, if my car is in stand-still and I shift in my seat, the car puts itself into park. This is extremely dangerous as I am actively on a highway in park. I have to spend upwards of a minute trying to turn the parking brake off and shift the car back into drive. This is a continual problem that will not be fixed/addressed by attempts to contact the vehicle manufacturer. It happens often.

Jun 17, 2024

On June 12, 2024 I first noticed the door handle on the Front RH passenger door stayed extended when the vehicle was locked at the end of a short trip in town. When locked, the door handles on the Fisker Ocean are designed to retract flush with the surface of the door. The extended door handle was locked, so the car door could not be opened (as expected). The next morning, I unlocked the car using my key fob, causing the other door handles to extend. I then locked the car with the key fob, and all of the door handles retracted, except for the handle front RH passenger door. Once again, I unlocked the car, leaned over from the driver's side, and found that pulling on the interior door handle would not open the unlocked front passenger door. Keeping the car in Park, I exited through the driver's side door, walked around to the front passenger door, pulled on the extended handle to attempt to open that door -- after pulling on the extended handle, the door opened after two attempts. Closing that front RH passenger door once more, I returned to the driver's seat, leaned over and found that I was able to then open the front RH passenger side door by pulling the interior door handle to open that door. Testing further, I determined that the interior door handle would not open that door anytime the car was unlocked immediately after driving, or after being put into park (which unlocks the doors and extends the door handles on the Fisker Ocean. I have notified Fisker support and am waiting for a response to get this door handle / door latch mechanism inspected and repaired. I can provide video clips showing the conditions outlined above. Note: This 2023 Fisker Ocean One was manufactured in 8/2023 and I took possession of this vehicle on 12/15/2023. The installed software version on the car is Ocean OS 2.0

Jun 16, 2024

Several potential dangerous situations have occurred with this car. 1. Brakes often fail on first attempt, only stops with pumping them. 2. Car randomly swerved to right twice, each time stopping by hitting something. 3. Car has locked itself and am unable to unlock with key fob, had to manually force it open. 4. Accelerator pedal has weird clicking to it. 5. Strange cracking sound from solar roof. It is impossible to get any type of service for this car as Fisker is unresponsive to phone calls or email attempts. The tech in the Delaware region has been terminated and since the car is undeliverable it is impossible to get to the closest one which seems to be Atlanta. No way of knowing if they will ever service the car.

Jun 13, 2024

The car doors will not open from the key fob, from the phone app, or from holding the key to the NFC reader.

Jun 12, 2024

I am unable to receive software updates from Fisker. I am currently using version 1.11 but many other customers have already received version 2.0 and 2.1. My safety is at risk because the 2.0 update has safety updates that improve the car's safety but I am not able to receive them. I have reached out to Fisker twice via telephone with no luck. I have reached out to my service technician with no luck and he has now been laid off. One of the safety features is a "H" for "hold" so that when you are on a hill, the car automatically holds for you. I currently roll backwards when on a hill and have to slam on brake to not roll down hill. There have been no warnings.

Jun 12, 2024

Any issues having to due with the Fisker Ocean are unresolved because no one answers the phone number that NTHSA and Fisker have provided (844-347-5971). Submitting a request on line does not result in a response and sending a request via email at [email protected] does not yield a response. There are serious issues and safety concerns with the vehicle that are not resolved and no one is helping the consumer or general public.

Jun 11, 2024

- The key fob does not open the door immediately, and sometimes not for 5-10 minutes. Today, I had cold groceries and I stood outside my car trying to unlock it for 10 minutes. The fob didn’t work and neither did the app on my phone. My mother-in-law often rides with me and she is elderly. She would have had much difficulty in the heat waiting for the car to unlock (luckily not with me today). Any number of emergencies require immediate access to the car - it should…I don’t know…unlock immediately when the unlock button is pressed. - Sometimes while sitting in traffic, the car will randomly go into “park.” If I have to move quickly to avoid an accident or make way for an ambulance, that is very problematic. - Interior lighting randomly comes on, which is especially troubling at night when trying to focus on the light from outside. - blind spot monitoring and radar detection randomly become unavailable several times per week and because I’m used to relying on an indicator before switching lanes, it causes risk.

Jun 7, 2024

There is an electrical component to this vehicle that is not shutting off. I charged the car to 80%, drove approximately 12 miles, locked the car at approximately 3:45 pm and it sat until 9:45am today. The vehicle has drained to 68%. I have proof of the charge for Electrify America and proof of the mileage.

May 24, 2024

Fisker Ocean One has less than 6K mileage and breaking system is extremely rough and makes lots of noise and squeaks, clash, etc. with abrupt halt sometimes throwing passengers forward. Fisker Ocean One User Instructions do not correspond correct with the actual user vehicle interface as items are missing or not available on the vehicle to correct safety issues per manual vehicle instructions per ADAS instructions therefore vehicles onboard computer is not able to be adjusted. Vehicle will speed up at time and or slow down on own just by barely touching vehicles accelerator driver having to hit brake quick as to not accidently hitting someone infront or trying to speed up as to not going to slow. When barely touching brake pad vehicle does brake abrupt will throw passengers forward. Have spoken and placed multiple tickets with Fisker for many issues on the vehicle for electrical, vehicle shutdown, battery problems and more. Yes available for inspection request. Problem has been reproduced on a daily basis and reported to Fisker. Vehicle has been inspected by Fisker customer support once and was told an update is coming to fix issues however until issues are fixed drivers will have to be careful and maneuver while driving. Fisker Ocean One warnings pop up continuously on my vehicle on the drivers screen nonstop from the time I step into the vehicle until I step out of the vehicle and lock the door. Warnings showed up on the Fisker Ocean One immediately when Fisker dropped the vehicle off at my home and I immediately began to contact Fisker Customer Support from day one with started DEC 2023

May 15, 2024

Fisker’s long-awaited 2.0 software update failed to correct the frequent failures of emergency braking and regenerative braking (ADAS features such as lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, forward facing camera are also regularly malfunctioning) two new problems presented themselves; the car will throw itself into park apparently when it registers a traffic light shift from red to green (as I have been waiting at a light all 4 times this has happened it puts me in danger of rear end collisions) and the downward motion of the brake in one instance was limited to about 1/2” meaning all braking I did was done in short quick choppy bursts. The pedal felt like it was pressing down on something stuck beneath it (there wasn’t anything there.) For this reason I have filed Lemon Law paperwork with an attorney in CA, a Better business Bureau complaint in CA and have leased a new car because I no longer feel safe driving the Fisker ocean one. The problems all appear to be software related, the company no longer responds to service requests and they have already attempted fixes on the car four separate times in the 5 months I’ve owned it.

May 13, 2024

My Fisker has had multiple issues from the beginning. Seat sensor does not allow you to shift the car into drive or reverse. I had to shake my butt to get it into gear. There are at times that when I drive it goes into park for no reason. When it comes to braking it does this skip feeling which is very alarming. ADA notifications are constantly alerting (pretty much daily) where Auto Emergency Braking, Blind Spot warning, Forward Collision Warning are not working on a daily basis, especially in rain and when the sun rises and sets - it is a constant distraction. So n a nutshell here are the major issues: - ADA alerts constantly - When braking there is skipping (not all the time but more so when you really have to quickly brake - Seat sensor in the seat - must shake your butt to get it into gear due to it not being in the right place perhaps? (it's been serviced twice) - Skipping while braking hard -Fob key lags a lot, I believe it's a safety issue that you can't get in your car when needed especially in areas that are not so nice and as a female you should not be scared if your car will open or not - Not a safety issue but I do want to point out my vents turn on high and hot every time I get in the vehicle and need to turn it off

May 8, 2024

The vehicle will not go into drive or reverse unless you move to the front edge of the driver seat. The vehicle will go into park whenever you come to a stop, whether at traffic lights, in traffic at a roundabout, or on the highway when there is a lot of traffic. Due to the first issue of getting it into drive, this becomes problematic when you have to move the front edge of the seat to get it back into gear.

I was in my vehicle, parked, and suddenly could not open the door and could not exit the vehicle. I was trapped inside. I got part of the video, which shows that I was in park, attempted to unlock the door, and could not get out. I eventually reset the vehicle twice to get the door to open. There was no warning. I just put my car in park and could not get out of the vehicle. I worry if I were in a wreck that I could not exit the vehicle. I also have an infant and worry if the doors are stuck that they would not be able to reset the vehicle and could get stuck in the car/especially as temperatures rise. I have told the company, but the company has not made an attempt to fix the vehicle yet. I have a video, but was unable to attach. Happy to send.

Vehicle will often not recognize included key FOB resulting in car shifting into park while stopped on the road, sometimes for multiple minutes, creating a very unsafe stopped car in active roadways. Vehicle dash will state "FOB not in vehicle." FOB is designed to communicate via NFC to ensure that the correct FOB is with the correct vehicle. My vehicle has never recognized the FOB and instead relies solely on the FOB's battery to maintain constant communication with the car. Resulting in the FOB battery going dead 4-5 times a week. Car is un-drivable because of this.

After enabling a "hill hold" feature where the car will stop after braking without needing to leave foot on brake, the car will automatically go into park/standby mode which results in car basically shutting off. This has affected many fisker oceans since their latest update. The car will stall on the freeway in stop and go traffic, at stoplights and stop signs. The driver must then put the car back into gear which with this vehicle does not happen expeditiously which results in stress and danger if someone approaching quickly from the rear. I need to attach videos to show this problem but this site will only allow pictures.

A week ago my wife was locked out of our Fisker. The battery in hte key fob was new. No matter what she tried, the doors would not open. After an hour, the doors responded to the key fob. Saturday April 20, the same thing happened to me. The door would not open even though I had put a new battery in the key only a few days prior. I tried to open the door for at least 15 mins, including walking around the car to try from all sides, placing the key near the door handle as Fisker instructs, locking then unlocking the doors, etc. I also tried unlocking with the Fisker app. Nothing worked. A window was slightly open. Although I knew it would likely set off the alarm, I reached inside and was able to open a door. The alarm went off. No matter what I tried, I could not get the car to recognize my key and/or stop the alarm. After another 15 mins, I walked to a CVS to buy another battery for the keyfob. I returned with another new new battery in the kdy fob but still no success. By this time, I had been unable to enter my car for half an hour with the alarm sounding for half that time, arousing the interest and ire of people parked nearby. I tried using the Fisker app to contact roadside assistance. The app told me such assistance was not available. I called the Fisker Customer service number. A message said no one was available to answer. I then called a Fisker service tech who had been to my house in the past (more than once, unfortunately). He didn’t answer but texted me a while later. I sent him my VIN. He was able to open my car doors and turn off the alarm using his computer from his house.

Front passenger door does not open from car interior

Apr 14, 2024

Gearshift stick popped out and dropped to the floor while trying to reverse at parking lot. We were able to plug it in after few attempts to get it to function and drive back home nearby. Called Fisker support and reported the incident and are waiting for their service to fix the issue. If this had happened on the highway, will loose control and end up ina accident!

There have been many issues with my Fisker..Since the first day I got it I have had problems trying to get the car doors to open. I have even been TRAPPED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE CAR unable to get out because the doors won't unlock to let me OUT. Since the first day I got the car I have been sending messages to fisker. Also, The first day I got the car, The Brakes system malfunction warning comes on often and the fisker IT Guys say” don’t worry about it “. The fisker support does not respond for days and sometimes weeks and sometimes not at all. Also I got the Fisker IT Service support technician for my are so I just text him most times with the issues. The AIr condition just stops working randomly. The sensors has been replaced but it keeps failing, the vents had to be replaced also and still have “bugs”. The doors not letting me out of the car are a HUGE safety risk for me and my family as well as not being able to get in the car. The Fisker technician has been to my house on several occasions and stayed for hours and then when he leaves I have the same issues. There are multiple incident dates as these issues are recurring. The brake malfunction while in driving started from day one I have a video. I also have text messages to the Fisker technician and one of the Fisker manager Sean O’Grady. i tried to load the video I have of the Brake system malfunction warning coming on as I am driving the car, but I couldn't get it to attach the file. You can email or call me if you need to get this.

Passenger side door would not open from inside on multiple occasions

Apr 3, 2024

Issue with car locking itself arbitrarily and not allowing occupants to exit the vehicle while using inside lever or outside lever. Safety issue. Also no safety features seems to be activated on the vehicle.

Apr 2, 2024

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS called Fi-Pilot in Fisker) and Sensor Malfunction: On multiple occasions, I have experienced instances where multiple warnings would come up such as regenerative braking, front collision system unavailable, front cameras not functional, side sensors, lane keep system unavailable, auto emergency braking system unavailable, ADAS fault – features limited or unavailable – Drive carefully and daytime running lights being unavailable my Fisker Ocean one car failed to respond promptly or adequately. Mud flaps were ripped during first snow. AC vents are making regular clicking noise and are shut on passengers side. Repeated failure of Key fob to open car (received only one key and app does not work). Despite reaching out multiple time there is no response from Fisker on when these issues will be fixed

Rear left door handle will no longer open the door. Either from the interior or exterior. Unlocking and locking the vehicle does not resolve the issue. Fisker says to pull the interior door handle twice in case of emergency, but this does not manually actuate the door handle. Occupants would be currently stuck in my vehicle and unable to exit...

unsafe operation - erratic braking, roll back while waiting for light or traffic, non-functioning options, inconsistent key functionality, inability to update software. Total unresponsive company personnel to send technician to car's location for a repair. Stuck in driveway for 3 months blocking access to garage and potential fire hazard as it was connected to Fisker charger but would not release EV-SE handle. Mobile App and web site application not in sync and could not assist me as vehicle operator

Feb 28, 2024

The vehicle was non responsive - yet was charged (EV). Numerous times I have not been able to unlock the car via the key fob. There is a “backup” RFID chip in the fob that’s supposed to unlock the vehicle by holding it near a spot on the door handle, however— that system did not work and I was stranded in the rain for a couple hours. Eventually when I returned to the vehicle to try again it had come back online and apparently unlocked itself which is not safe.

The back doors in my vehicle do not open from the inside when car is unlocked. Front driver and front passenger are able to exit the vehicle but rear passengers cannot. This would appear to pose a danger if there was a crash and rear passengers needed to exit the vehicle.

I got my Fisker Ocean One in Nov 2023, and the car suddenly stops on the road. The car gives multiple jerks and stops in the middle of the traffic. The car just becomes idle on the busy road. Its too scary. This issue is happening on every drive. If something happens to the battery and I don't even have the option to get out of the car as it is dead in the middle of the road. I don't know the issue and when I call the customer care and they don't even have the courtesy to call and find out what happened.

After driving the car for about 10 minutes, I parked and was unable to open the driver door. I tried locking and unlocking, shifting in and out of park, resetting the infotainment system and opening the window and trying to open via the outside handle. The door is supposed to always open via a ‘double pull’ from inside yet it never worked. I drove about a mile and pulled into a parking lot where I took videos. I then drove to another parking lot and sat in the sun and the door finally released. It took me over 45 minutes to get it to release. The interior safety approach of the ‘double pull’ never worked. There were no lights or warnings. If this had been an emergency, I could not have exited the car. I messaged the company and a technician called me about 2 hours later. I was already out of the car. Given that the safety backup did not work, I think this should be investigated. I have videos of the issue but cannot upload videos to this site.

The car door does not open from the inside. Despite multiple attempts to unlock the door from the inside, pull the handle twice, roll down the mirror to pull the exterior handle.. This has happened numerous times where we are locked inside the vehicle. I have put numerous service tickets in with no response from Fisker. Only thing they say is ‘we are ordering the parts.’ This vehicle was received November 2023 and we’ve been locked in the car numerous times and are afraid to drive anywhere not knowing if we can get out in a timely manner

passenger door wouldn't open, passenger had to climb across vehicle to exit.

Jan 16, 2024

Passenger door failed to unlock or open from inside the car after parking. Passenger pulled on the handle multiple times but the door would not open. The driver got out of the car and attempted lock and unlock the car with the Key FOB and used the exterior handle to open the car but unsuccessful. After approx 10 minutes of trying all sequences of locking, unlocking, getting back in the driver side the passenger door finally unlocked. Service request submitted to company but

This vehicle has numerous software problems. The biggest one is hat there is no roll away prevention. If the car is placed in reverse, and stars moving, if no other imputs are given by the driver the car will continue to roll. Als, if the drivers door is opened during this manuver, the roll continues. This is also true if the car is in drive and at a stop on a hill. If the brake is released the car will roll backwards and will not stop. Opening the drivers door will not initiate engagement of the brakes either. This is a very unsafe thing to have a 3 ton object rolling with no way for the vehicle to detect it is free rolling. It is unlikely that this situation would happen, but if there was a medical emergency or a sudden loss of consciousness, distraction or something else. the outcome could be very bad. Fisker needs to be more proactive addressing their software and improve its vehicles. It is a good vehicle with crappy software.

The vehicle drives forward when you put it in reverse. I almost hit the car parked in front of me. The manufacturer has no interest in fixing the problem. this is on top of multiple issues with this car: All the ADAS features are not working and sending false warnings, slamming the breaks when identifying a shadow in front of the vehicle etc.. This car should have not been allowed on the road and it is only a question of time before someone is going to get hurt.
