2007 FLEETWOOD AMERICAN EAGLE FRONT WEIGHT PROBLEM. *BF THE RV FAILED TO MEET CCC POSTED AND ADVERTISED SPECIFICATIONS WITH FULL FUEL, WATER, ONE PASSENGER AND 250 LBS OF CARGO. THE FRONT AXLE WAS OVERWEIGHT BY 200 PLUS POUNDS. *JB

2007 FLEETWOOD AMERICAN EAGLE FRONT WEIGHT PROBLEM. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE RV DOES NOT CARRY THE MANUFACTURER'S PRINTED AND CERTIFIED CCC AND WITH THE CURRENT DESIGNATED FRONT AXLE, WHEELS AND TIRES, PLUS BRAKING SYSTEM, THE RV IS A HAZARD ON THE ROAD. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED TO TRAVEL WITH 1/2 FUEL, MINIMUM WATER AND REDUCE THE WEIGHT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ON THE FRONT AXLE AND REMAIN UNDER THE 15,200 LBS RATED AXLE LIMIT. *JB

2007 FLEETWOOD AMERICAN EAGLE FRONT WEIGHT PROBLEM. *BF THE DESIGN AND CERTIFIED RATING OF THE FRONT AXLE WAS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THE USUAL AND INTENDED USE OF THE MOTORHOME. THE CONSUMER STATED HE HAD HIS MOTORHOME WEIGHED SEVERAL TIMES. WITH FULL FUEL, PROPANE, WATER EMPTY BLACK AND GRAY WATER TANKS, THE FRONT AXLE WAS OVERLOADED BY 580 POUNDS. *JB

2007 FLEETWOOD AMERICAN EAGLE FRONT AXLE PROBLEM. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE RV HAD A FRONT AXLE DESIGN DEFICIENCY THAT DID NOT ALLOW THE MOTORHOME TO BE LOADED AND OPERATED SAFELY AS SPECIFIED IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL. THE CURRENT POUND LOAD RATED FRONT AXLE WAS NOT DESIGNED TO CARRY SUFFICIENT LOAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WITH A 16,000 POUND LOAD RATED AXLE AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $20,000. THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED A TIRE BLOW OUT ON THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE OF THE MOTORHOME. GOODYEAR INSPECTED THE TIRE AND DETERMINED THAT THERE WERE NO MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP DEFECTS IN THE TIRE. *JB

I HAD PLACED APPROXIMATELY 250 LBS OF CARGO IN THE BAYS AND UPON WEIGHING THE COACH I WAS OVERWEIGHT ON THE FRONT AXEL. MY EAGLE IS PLACARD TO BE ABLE TO CARRY 4931 LBS OF CARGO UP TO A MAXIMUM 44600 LBS GVWR WITH AN AXLE GVAR OF 14600 LBS. IF I HAD NOT BEEN DILIGENT IN WEIGHING MY RV A SERIOUS ACCIDENT COULD HAVE OCCURRED FROM POSSIBLE TIRE BLOWOUT OR BROKEN AXLE. 2. NO FAILURE OCCURRED DUE TO MY PREVENTIVE MEASURES. 3. REPLACEMENT OF THE 7390 LB RATED TIRES TO 315 80RX22.5 MICHELIN TIRES WHICH ARE RATED TO 9090 LBS AT 130 LBS. I ALSO REPLACED THE WHEELS RATED AT 7030 LBS WITH A MAXIMUM PRESSURE OF 120 LBS TO 10000 LB RATED WHEELS. I HAVE REQUESTED THAT FLEETWOOD AMERICAN COACH DIVISION UPGRADE THE AXLE GAWR TO 16600 LBS. SO FAR THEY HAVE NOT COMPLIED HOWEVER HAVE SAID THEY WILL PROVIDE A KIT AT MY COST TO UPGRADE THE GAVR TO 15,300 LBS. *TR
