TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD 500. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND UNINTENTIONALLY LOST POWER. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION FAULT AND CHECK ENGINE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE SPEEDOMETER ONLY SHOWED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING 20 MPH. AFTERWARDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KEY HYUNDAI OF SALEM (470 S BROADWAY, SALEM, NH 03079, (603) 841-3099) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS FULL OF CARBON AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE WARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 83,000.

WE EXPERIENCE THE DOORS OPENING LIGHT COMING ON SAYING DOORS ARE A JAR. RPMS REV UP IN THE CAR WILL PULL FORWARD AT A STOP. PASSENGER SEAT BELT WILL OPEN. TRANSMISSION WILL SHOW SLOWING IN SHIFTING GEARS. THE AC WILL EXPERIENCE SHUTTING OFF DURING HOT TEMPERATURE NO COOL AIR WILL FLOW THROUGH VENTS.

CAR STARTS SURGING WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR WHEN IDLE. RPM'S JUMP UP AND DOWN TO ONE AND BELOW. IF FOOT IS NOT ON THE BRAKE ALL THE WAY CAR WANTS TO LUNGE FORWARD. EVEN WHEN LETTING OFF THE BRAKE TO GO FORWARD YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL THAT THE CAR IN FRONT IS FAR ENOUGH AWAY. UNDER PREVIOUS RECALL FORD CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY AND IT DID NOT CHANGE A THING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE JULY 2015.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD 500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK THE VEHICLE ON A DECLINE, IT DID NOT SHIFT OUT OF THE DRIVE POSITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BRICKS HAD TO BE PLACED BEHIND THE REAR TIRES IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE NOT TO ROLL BACKWARDS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 102,000.

WHENEVER I PUT THE CAR INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE, THE CAR JERKS VERY VIOLENTLY. I HAVE TO KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHEN I AM SHIFTING INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE IN FEAR OF JERKING AND HITTING SOMEONE OR ANOTHER CAR. IT LAUNCHING FORWARD TOO. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO CAPITAL FORD BEFORE AND THEY TOLD ME IT IS NOTHING WRONG BUT I AM NOT A FOOL SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG. I HAVE SPOKEN TO OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE 500'S AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY EXPERIENCED THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. *TR

WHEN CAR IS AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED, PULLING INTO PARKING SPACE AND CORRECTING STEERING WHEEL CAR LUNGES FORWARD! WITHOUT FOOT BEING ON GAS PEDAL!! THE SAME GOES FOR REVERSE THERE IS A EXTREME SURGE WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED SHARPLY TO BACK UP! ONCE AGAIN FOOT IS NOT ON GAS! IF I DON'T HAVE FOOT ON BRAKE THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS IN BOTH SITUATIONS ! WHAT I HAVE NOTICED IS THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER IS ON. AT LOW SPEED, WILE TRYING TO PARK THE CAR IT WILL SUDDENLY SURGE MAKING PARKING RISKY EVEN WHEN MY FOOT IS ON THE BRAKE. I ALMOST HIT ANOTHER CAR SEVERAL TIMES.
