I HAVE A 2001 E 1-50 VAN, I AM ALWAYS GETTING A BRAKE TO THE FLOOR ISSUE THIS HAS CAUSED ME SOME SCARY INCIDENTS AT TIMES, I HAVE HAD EVERYTHING REPLACED THAT I CAN THINK OF BUT STILL HAVING THIS ISSUE, I GET THE RUN AROUND WITH FORD SAYING THIS IS NORMAL TO ME THIS IS NOT NORMAL WHEN I HAVE TO PUMP MY BRAKES AT TIMES, BEFORE I STOP ALSO SITTING AT LIGHTS I CAN FEEL MY PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR THIS IS NOT NORMAL SOMETHING IS WRONG, SOMEWHERE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE CAUSE I TRIED TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING THIS SEEMS A LOT ARE HERE ARE SOME STORIES ON THIS ISSUE HTTP://WWW.FORD-TRUCKS.COM/FORUMS/937993-MY-BRAKES-GO-TO-THE-FLOOR-AND-SO-DO-YOURS-I-THINK.HTML I'M TIRED OF TOSSING MONEY INTO THIS ISSUE, I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO A ACCIDENT AND KILL MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE, I THINK THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE SINCE LATE 2001 WITHIN 5 MONTHS HAD TO BE TAKEN IN FOR BRAKE PROBLEMS DUE TO VIBRATION WHEN STOPPING. SINCE THEN THE VAN HAS HAD THE ROTORS REPLACED ONCE A YEAR WITH THEM BEING TURNED TWICE. BRAKE PADS ARE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED EVERY 5 TO 6 MONTHS. I HAVE CALLED FORD EACH TIME AS WELL AS THE DEALER. BOTH HAVE SAID THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THEY HAVE WITH THESE VEHICLES. I DON'T PULL ANYTHING WITH MY VAN AND I AM NOT HARD ON THE BRAKES. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS BECAUSE THE FRONT END IS HEAVY. *JB
PURCHASED THE VEHICLE LATE 2001 AND HAS BEEN IN 6 TIMES FOR NEW ROTORS AND BREAKS DUE TO VIBRATION WHEN BRAKING. FORD HAS COVERED IT SO FAR, AND THE DEALERSHIP JUST TELLS ME THAT BECAUSE THE VAN IS HEAVY IN THE FRONT THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM. I FEEL THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE VEHICLE. WHO CAN AFFORD A $600.00 BRAKE JOB EVERY 4 TO 5 MONTHS? *LA

THE CONSUMER HAS EXPERIENCED THE FOLLOWING: WATER LEAK IN THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR, ELECTRICAL SHORT, THE BRAKES/ROTORS GROOVED/PADS ARE WORN, THE PASSENGER MIDDLE SEAT WILL NOT MOVE, AND A PAINT DEFECT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE BRAKE SYSTEM IS NORMAL. SCC
WHEN TRYING TO APPLY THE BRAKES BRAKE PEDAL WILL GO TO THE FLOOR, CAUSING VEHICLE TO HAVE EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK

FRONT ROTORS WARP, AND CONTINUOUSLY HAD TO HAVE ROTORS CHANGED EVERY TWO TO FOUR MONTHS, CAUSING TIRES TO WEAR OUT. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHILE APPLYING BRAKES VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP PROPERLY. HAD TO PUMP BRAKES TO GET IT TO STOP. WHEN IT DID IT CAUSED ONE OF THE WHEELS TO LOCK UP INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED AT THIS TIME. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH APPLIED PRESSURE TO BRAKE PEDAL. BRAKE SYSTEM MOMENTARILY SLOWED VEHICLE THEN UNEXPECTEDLY RELEASED, AND ALLOWED FOR CONTINUED FORWARD MOVEMENT. DEALERSHIP HAS EXAMINED VEHICLE, AND MADE NO DETERMINATION AS TO THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / ATTACHMENTS.*AK
BRAKE PEDAL OCCASIONALLY GOES TO FLOOR AND WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY TO STOP VEHICLE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT DEALER 4 TIMES, BUT PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN DUPLICATED. COMPUTER DOESN'T SHOW ANY SIGN OF A PROBLEM. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERS AND NEITHER COULD FIND A PROBLEM. PLEASE ADD THE VIN TO THE FORM.*AK
