Passenger door Door ajar light laminates and will not shut off. Now battery keeps dying.
Overheating && electrical !!!! It’s been over heating since I got the dealership fixed it free of charge I’m still having the same problem I looked it up there are 3 recalls that’s I’m having the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS WITH
There were three recalls listed on your site that are no longer active which perfectly describe what is going on with my car at the moment we have had major electrical problems with it we have had problems with the tailgate not latching and opening while driving down the road also overheating when stopped at a light all of a sudden the air conditioner starts blowing hot air and it shoots up and overheats while you're idling out of traffic light the electrical system is totally messed up I can't even begin to list everything that has gone wrong with that the lights being turned on when we're not in the car to the no key in car actually going down the road it shut down no key and we were able to get it back on again but for a minute I thought that the car was going to stop moving it seems that this model car has had these issues in the past that recalls have been put out for but nothing is active for it right now and we're experiencing what was going on in those recalls I would appreciate it if you could look into this for me my daughter drives his car to school and she has been stranded several times I don't feel that it's safe for her to drive in this condition please let me know if there's anything you can do to reinstate any of these recalls to Goodwill type extension of these recalls I don't know what to do at this point because all of this is very expensive to fix I am [XXX] she is a student I just want her to be able to drive a car that she's not going to get hurt in or be stranded someplace thank you for taking the time to look at this and I will hope to hear from you again my email is [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Front drivers Door will not open from outside of vehicle
The passenger door warning keeps coming on saying door ajar and keeps lights illuminated until I manually move latch on door to catch
On 12-11-22 I had a flat tire. I went to put on the spare, following directions step by step, and placing the jack where the arrow points in the correct spot. I jacked my car up and once the tire was off, the car fell onto the ground bending the jack. I then realized the area the jack sits, along with other areas under the car are badly corroded. It's available for inspection, yes. This could have badly hurt me or my 4 year old who was near me had the jack flew out or my hand had been in the area. I am concerned if there are any other framework issues since the car landed hard on concrete. I also dont know if there is other hidden corrosion I cannot see that could pose saftey issues while driving.
When closing my front passenger door, the door ajar light remains on. With this, my doors will not lock creating a potentially dangerous situation where a person could open my doors if I’m driving. I either have to repeatedly slam the door until it closes or just leave it as is, but as stated my doors will not lock. I do not want the risk of having someone opening my doors while I’m inside, have young children open the door while in drive, or have someone break into my car.
Driver's door shows door ajar alarm. Even though doors are all securely closed. Doors will not lock while driving the car. Real safety issue for any children in the vehicle.

FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH/SENSOR MALFUNCTION. DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR IS CLOSED. THE DOORS DON'T LOCK AND THE DOME LIGHT STAYS ON BECAUSE THE CAR THINKS THE DOOR IS OPEN. THIS WILL THEN CONTINUE AS LONG AS THE CAR IS IN REVERSE AND MAKES BACKING UP AT NIGHT VERY HARD AS YOU CAN'T SEE WITH THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ON. WHEN BACKING FROM THE DRIVEWAY INTO THE STREET YOU CANNOT SEE IF THERE IS TRAFFIC. WHEN THE CAR IS PUT IN DRIVE THE DOME LIGHT WILL FINALLY GO OUT AFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. IF WE PARK THE CAR AND LOCK IT THE DOME LIGHT WILL STAY ON FOR 5 OR MORE MINUTES AS IT REGISTERS AS THE FRONT DOOR BEING AJAR. NEIGHBORS HAVE STOPPED AT OUR HOME TO TELL US WE LEFT OUR INTERIOR LIGHTS ON.

THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED, OR COVERED UNDER WARRENTY.

LIFT GATE IS CORRODED AND RUSTING IN BIG CHUNKS AT THE POINT WHERE THE LIFT GATE AND THE RUBBER SEAL MEET ALONG THE INSIDE BOTTOM OF THE GATE. ALSO HAVE RUSTING UNDER DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL WELL FENDER. VEHICLE IS WITHIN 36K AND AND VERY LITTLE ADVERSE WEATHER DRIVING. LIFT GATE IS NOW IN DANGER OF OPENING AS CORROSION IS WORKING ITS WAY TO LOCK CONNECTOR.

ON FEB 5, 2015 AS I TRAVELED DOWN THE ROAD MY SUNROOF EXPLODED. I WAS DRIVING 55 MPH UNDER AN OVERPASS THAT WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT THE TIME ON SMOOTH ASPHALT, BUT IT WAS LUNCH TIME AND THERE WERE NO WORKERS PRESENT NOR ANY EQUIPMENT IN OPERATION. IT SOUNDED LIKE A SHOTGUN WENT OFF IN MY CAR. I PULLED OVER AND GOT OUT AND LOOKED AT MY TIRES, FINE. MY WINDOWS, FINE. THEN AS I STOOD NEXT TO MY DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR ABOUT TO GET BACK INSIDE, I HEARD SPLINTERING COMING FROM THE TOP OF MY CAR. I LOOKED AT MY SUNROOF AND IT WAS SPIDER WEBBING. THERE WAS A GAP ALREADY GONE AT THE FRONT OF THE WINDOW. I WENT BACK TO THE ROADWAY/APEX UNDER THE OVERPASS AND LOOKED AROUND AND FOUND NO ROCK OR OTHER ITEM THAT I FELT WOULD CAUSE SUCH DAMAGE.

THE DRIVER ALSO SUSTAINED DEEP BRUSING TO THE CHEST DUE TO THE SEAT BELT RESTRAINT. WE ARE INTERESTED TO KNOW WHY THE AIRBAG DID NOT INFLATE AND PROTECT THE DRIVER. THE HEAD INJURIES AND VISION PROBLEMS CONTINUE TO RESTRICT THE DRIVER FORM BEING ABLE TO DRIVE AGAIN.

THIS PROBLEM IS NOT A RESULT OF USE OR WEAR AND TEAR OF THE VEHICLE; IT CLEARLY IS A MECHANICAL /ENGINEERING FLAW WITH THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THAT THIS SITUATION IS A SAFETY ISSUES AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY. ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2016, I SENT AN EMAIL TO THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER (CRC), EXPLAINING THE PROBLEM AND SEEKING HELP. I WAS ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER (CAS-10612005-P1F4G7) AND WAS TOLD TO CONTACT A LOCAL DEALER TO DIAGNOSIS THE PROBLEM. ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2016, A SERVICE DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE FROM BEAU TOWNSEND FORD INFORMED ME THAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE DOOR LATCH AND THE COST TO REPAIR IS APPROXIMATELY $385.00 PER LATCH. HE ALSO INFORMED ME THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIR.NEXT, I CALLED THE CRC TO APPEAL THE DECISION.I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT A RECALL ITEM AND THAT FORD WOULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY 2 SEPARATE SHOPS, BOTH CLAIMED THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE TO ANY OTHER SUSPENSION COMPONENTS, INCLUDING CONTROL ARMS, BALL JOINTS, SWAY BAR, SWAY BAR END LINKS, OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT WOULD'VE CAUSED THE STRUT TOWER TO BREAK IN SUCH A FASHION. HOWEVER, THE DRIVER DOOR AJAR LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE, THE CAR WILL NOT AUTO LOCK WHEN YOU REACH THE DESIGNATED SPEED AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTS REMAIN ON FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES. ALL OF THIS RESULTS IN A DRAIN ON THE BATTERY. IT TAKES SLAMMING THE DRIVER DOOR TO THE POINT YOU ARE AFRAID THAT ANOTHER ISSUE WILL ARISE BEFORE YOU CAN GET THE CAR TO RECOGNIZE THE DRIVER DOOR IS CLOSED.
