I purchased this vehicle used in August 2025 from the estate of a friend's relative. The records show it was meticulously maintained and no recall notices have been unaddressed. The prior owner used it infrequently and it still has just under 90k miles. There were no major engine issues when my local repair shop (over 12 years and 3 vehicles) inspected all systems, and the vehicle passed for PA state inspection and emissions. However, driving more, I noticed that the brakes would intermittently become "mushy" or "hard" and overall less responsive. I needed to use a lot of force to fully stop over a longer distance. There was also a hissing noise while braking and sometimes the cabin air fan would blast on suddenly. Then, while stopped at a red light and applying the brakes, the engine shut off and check engine light came on. My mechanic detected O2 sensor codes P2195/P2197 indicating "stuck lean." But nothing about the brake booster, and so we cleaned it up a bit and tried to get more of an understanding of the issue. Now I know that the compromised engine vacuum from the booster air leak is impacting the fuel/air balance. Extremely unsafe. This has now happened MANY times while I try to get a good diagnosis and help. It's scary, and makes city driving very challenging. On multiple occasions I feared I would hit other vehicles or would have to "creep" at a light to alleviate the airflow issues from braking. If I have to be at a light for more than a moment, I will put the car in park and foot off the brake. I'd rather risk being honked at or hit, than have the engine dying on me in traffic. When I was able to get to a dealership, I was informed that it was the brake booster. The first thing I found when looking up that part for the 2013 Ford Edge was the recall. The dealership says my VIN was not covered, but it seems more than coincidence that this is the exact problem, now confirmed by the dealership. The part is faulty, and should be replaced by OEM.

Since the day I bought my 2013 Edge I have had nothing but problems ranging from Backup Camera always has a distorted image, appears upside down or it will just be blank. For the last year I have had my car looked at, changed everything that could possibly be changed to now my car can be going down the road running 55-60 MPH and the car will just shut down and flash random warnings on the dash but the scariest & most unsafe part is how the steering wheel locks up or I lose power steering making it hard to move or coast off the road to safety. At this point I don't know what else to do. Questions below are asking for dates but unfortunately there are so many dates that my car does this as it happens almost daily so I will put date for the last day I drove it. Right now it has been sitting at a mechanic's place for the last 3.5 weeks.

The independent mechanic stated that he would be liable if the brakes failed again, and the contact was involved in a crash. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed with brake booster failure. The vehicle received repair for a bent push rod, motor craft, motor, brake fluid, and the upper intake was replaced. After the repair, the failure recurred two more times, and the vehicle was repaired two more times. The vehicle was pending further repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 164,301.

The contact stated upon further inspection, she noticed a leak coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic who advised the contact to take the vehicle to a local dealer for assistance. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the water pump had failed, and that the front of the engine and the timing belt needed to be removed to reach the parts needed to be replaced. Additionally, the bearing behind the water pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the costs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was related to TSB: 13N02. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.

Liquid was leaking below the 2013 Ford Edge engine in our garage. A reputable independent repair center checked it out and found it to be the water pump leaking; which is located inside the Ford Cyclone engine. The engine would need to be taken apart to replace the defective water pump. It was explained to me that driving the vehicle may cause water to mix into the oil causing even more problems. I checked with a local Ford service center and was told they only have one person who can do this type of job and it would be over a month before it could be done. I opted for the reputable independent repair center who could do it in a week. The vehicle has been driven only 60,663 miles and is well maintained. The repair was done [XXX] and the cost of the repair was approximately $2,000. A certified letter was sent to James Farley (CEO & President of Ford) on [XXX] asking for reimbursement of the $2,000 due to the defective water pump. Shortly after sending the letter, Ford customer service emailed and asked for more information. More information was sent and am still waiting for a response No warning lights came on, the part has been disposed of and not was not inspected by Ford, Police or insurance reps. Put car in for regular service, and to investigate burning smell and transmission slippage. Mechanic found that the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) was completely filled with a paste-like sludge. (he has pictures) Mechanic says that the PTU is too close to the catalytic converter, therefore overheating the PTU and literally boiling the transfer fluid. He was able to clean the module, but says there's still a leak around the PTU seal. The work required to replace the seal, would also merit replacing the PTU. BUT, this is a $800 part! The safety risk would have been my transmission completely seizing up and causing an accident due to mechanical failure. The vehicle has had all of it's regular and milestone service work performed. No warning lights went off. I'm on borrowed time with this part and/or new transmission. Will there be a remedy to prevent this in the future?

Break booster with leak noted requiring replacement. Turbo boost needing replacement. After turbo boost replacement, began having a shudder during acceleration between 40-48 mph. Now needing torque converter replaced.

Vehicle will not idle at the correct rpms. Replaced battery and alternator had everything checks by a certified mechanic. The battery light will come on while driving and the car will begin to stall out while driving. Cannot run ac or any electric component in the car. Really scary when you have kids in the car driving down the road and it begins to shut down but still going the same rate of speed.

While driving the 2013 Edge Sport/vehicle just stalls out, tool light appears on for a couple of seconds then shuts off, vehicle doesn't accelerate, and then vehicle shuts off. Vehicle does start back up. This happen more than one occasion. Called dealership - Waiting to get my vehicle in the shop. Very dangerous because I was in the middle lane and almost got rear-ended and but myself and my son in danger along with other drivers. No prior engine light or any other light on beforehand.

My daughter was driving the car and the vehicle stalled out. A warning light for low oil pressure came on however the oil was change 1 week ago. This is very dangerous because she was on a very busy highway. Also when putting gas in the car it sometimes will not start.

I took very good care of my car's engine and while driving on the highway the engine block cracked open immediately shutting the car down, almost causing a crash and spilling oil all over the road for no apparent reason. There were no issues with the engine and no check engine lights were on.

Car started shaking when I started to slow down at a red light and then loss power in the road. This continued to happen. Finally engine light came on I took it to get scanned came back 02 sensor. I will take it back to the dealer on Tuesday. My car just shutting off with two kids in the backseat going down the road is not okay and a huge safety issue.

On my way to work early morning dark outside the water pump which is timing chain driving failed fluid poured out causing smoke and hard to see out the windshield causing me to have to pull to the side of the road not able to safely see, dark road no traffic 30 miles away from home mechanic told me 3000.00 $ to fix the problem ford should of never built a vehicle like this knowingly that the water pump was not accessible you have to tear the whole engine down, i owe more on the car then what it's worth and to fix the vehicle it would even cost me more then what it is worth. Now I'm making payments on a car that I can not drive

The contact stated that the vehicle was slowing down but not as designed. The contact pumped the brake pedal and turned the steering wheel to avoid crashing into another vehicle was stopping. The contact stated that while idling at a traffic light, the vehicle shut-off. The contact stated that the vehicle had to be shifted into park while stopped at a traffic light to prevent the vehicle from inadvertently turning off. The contact stated that the check engine, brake failure, and low oil warning lights were illuminated. The door latches also failed to lock the vehicle whenever the vehicle was started. The doors would suddenly lock or fail to lock as the contact continued to drive. The contact stated that she was unable to manually lock the doors occasionally. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed that the door latch and the brake booster needed to be replaced. The brake booster, master cylinder, vacuum hose, two unknown sensors, and brake fluid were all replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the mileage was past the limit for the extended warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 165,000.

Driving along normally, the Wrench Indicator light comes on and the vehicle looses all engine power and until you turn the vehicle off, it will only run at about 2 mph. This has happened several times over a period of about four weeks. Each time this occurred , the vehicle began working normally after it was turned off and turned back on. The car was taken twice to a local repair shop in Ocean View DE. In each instance, no codes could be recovered and the malfunction didn't occur while they were troubleshooting. I was advised to take it to a Ford Dealer. We took it to the Boulevard (Preston) Ford dealership in Georgetown DE. It was in their shop for 5 days and they also could not identify the problem. We were told that they ren diagnostics on it and test drove the vehicle twice while it was in their hands.

2013 Ford Edge "Water pump" The Water pump is driven off the timing chain. When the water pump fails it either leaks into the engine on early models or it throws the timing out. The dealer wants $2500.00 to replace the water pump because of all the labor too get to the pump inside of engine. You have to pull the timing chain cover. Remove most of the engine to get to it. When the timing is knocked off from the pump, Valves hit pistons. Now you have to pull heads and replace bent valves. Duel overhead cams. If the pump leaks coolant into engine, Game over! Milk shake! The engine bearings are gone. New Engine! This is without a doubt the worst designed engine out there. They could have made the pump to be driven from the outside of the timing cover from the serpentine belt. It has two belts! This is an engineering cluster f**k! Good Luck!

I was told once that body control module wàs bad then I call to get it replaced and they said it wasn't bad. Windshield wipers go when they want then sometimes they won't work at all. Windows will roll down when rolling up or roll up when rolling down. Radio has been delayed. Sometimes definitely not eco boost. Pushes slower than my grandma's 1999 Buick. Brake boost was replaced in July ànd now again I have no breaks whatsoever I have to drive with the emergency brake

THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON IN MY CAR. I TOOK IT TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THEY SAID IT HAD THE CODES OF P2196 AND P2198 A H02S HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR IS MALFUNTIONING. WHEN THE REP PULLED UP THE CODES HE INFORMED ME THEY HAD THOUSANDS OF MY SAME VEHICLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I CONTACTED FORD WARRANTY AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT COVERED. THIS IS HORRIBLE FOR FORD TO KNOW THIS IS A DEFECT ON THEIR VEHICLE AND NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT. SO I WOULD LIKE TO LAUNCH THIS FORMAL COMPLAINT. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD VEHICLE AGAIN. THE AIP HAS GONE OUT IN MY VEHICLE AND I HAVE HAD OTHER ISSUES THAT THE FORD WARRANTY HAS SAID DID NOT APPLY. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE LIGHT CAME ON.

1. LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON AND CAUSE THE VEHICLE ENGINE TO SEIZE UP. CHECKED OIL LEVEL WHICH WAS GOOD AND CHANGED OIL. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON CITY STREETS IT CONTINUES TO SEIZE THE ENGINE UP AND CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO BECOME STATIONARY. IT TAKES A FEW TRIES BEFORE THE ENGINE WILL TURN OVER WHEN I TRY TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. 2. THE BRAKE ISSUE CONTINUES TO HAPPEN DAILY THAT THE BRAKES WILL FAIL AND NOT ALLOW ME TO USE THEM WHILE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. IT SEEMS TO DO ALRIGHT ON THE FREEWAY OR WHEN I AM AT A CONSTANT SPEED. THEY MAKE A WHOOSHING SOUND AND MAKE THE BRAKES EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN AND SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO USE THE BRAKES AT ALL. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO 2 DIFFERENT MECHANICS AND I AM WAITING FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO GO TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. THE LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS. IT WILL COME ON AND GO OFF QUITE OFTEN BUT IT IS NOT THROWING ANY CODES SO THE MECHANIC SHOPS CAN'T DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE. THE BRAKE ISSUE IS FAIRLY RECENT WITHIN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON OCTOBER 27TH 2020 AT 8 AM FOR THE BRAKE AND ENGINE ISSUE.

MY 2013 FORD EDGE HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE DRIVER'S DOOR LATCH SENSOR. THE SENSOR DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY AND THE VEHICLE COMPUTER IS CONSTANTLY THINKING THAT MY DOOR IS AJAR. IT ILLUMINATES THE INTERIOR LIGHTS CAUSING DISTRACTIONS AND SAFETY ISSUES FOR ME TRYING TO DRIVE AND OTHER DRIVERS AROUND ME, ESPECIALLY SINCE I WORK 3RD SHIFT AND DO A LOT OF NIGHTTIME DRIVING. IT HAS DRAINED MY BATTERY NUMEROUS TIMES DUE TO IT SETTING MY ALARM OFF INTERMITTENTLY BECAUSE IT ALL OF THE SUDDEN THINKS MY DOOR IS OPEN WHEN I HAVE IT PARKED. I HAVE READ SO MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS ISSUE. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL BY FORD YEARS AGO AS THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. FORD SENT A LETTER OUT STATING THAT THEY WOULD DO A ONE-TIME COURTESY FIX FOR PEOPLE HAVING THIS PROBLEM, HOWEVER, THEY LISTED REQUIREMENTS FOR MILEAGE AND AGE OF VEHICLE THAT YOU HAD TO MEET TO HAVE THEM FIX IT. SO EVEN THOUGH I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR SINCE 35,000 MILES, THEY TOLD ME THAT I DIDN'T QUALIFY. FORD IS NOT GOING TO STEP UP ON THEIR OWN AND BE RESPONSIBLE ABOUT THIS, THEY NEED IT TO BE FORCED ON THEM TO DO SO.

CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. THEY PUT ON MACHINE TO CHECK CODES AND FOUND NOTHING AND THERE WAS ERROR NO CODE STORED. BEFORE THEY CAN DO ANYTHING TO FIX VEHICLE THEY NEED IT TO REPLICATE ERROR. THE WRENCH LIGHT IS OUT, BUT NOW WORRIED TO DRIVE BECAUSE NOTHING WAS RESOLVED.

THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A FORD DEALER AND THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AS A FAULTY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY (ETB). THIS COMPONENT WAS RECALLED IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 16B23. HOWEVER, IT WAS ONLY ISSUED FOR 2011-2012 MODEL YEAR EDGE AND MKX VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 3.5L OR 3.7L ENGINES. GIVEN THE SEVERITY OF THIS ISSUE, IT SEEMS THAT THE RECALL SHOULD BE LOOKED AT FOR THE 2013 FORD EDGE AS WELL.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GOOGLE THIS MODEL AND THERE ARE TONS AND TONS OF REPORTS OF COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. FORD SHOULD STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS AND FIX TO AVOID INJURIES, DEATH AND LAWSUITS. I HAD NO ISSUES WITH MY CAR UNTIL OTHER THAN THE INITIAL BRAKE BOOSTER FAILURE, UNTIL MY CAR WAS LEFT WITH SMOKE ALL UNDER MY CAR FROM THE SECOND BRAKE BOOSTER. THROUGH RESEARCH I FOUND THE SAME SYMPTOMS ON OTHER FORDS WHERE THE THROTTLE BODY WAS AN ISSUE INCLUDING MY YEAR EDGE. FORD DID A RECALL ON A BUNCH BUT MY YEAR AND MODEL WERE NOT INCLUDED. NOW THE GARAGE IS TELLING ME IT WILL COST BETWEEN $800 AND $1000 AND MY VIN IS NOT COVERED. THE INFO ONLINE STATES IT SHOULD BE COVERED. ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9, 2019, MY 2013 FORD EDGE REPORTED AN "OVERHEATED COOLANT" MESSAGE AND WITHIN 2 SECONDS THE ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED, THE CAR IMMEDIATELY LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE AND BEGAN DECELERATING WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH ON A BUSY ROAD DURING NIGHT TIME RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. THIS ENDANGERED MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHER MOTORISTS THAT HAD TO QUICKLY AVOID HITTING MY CAR. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO APPLE FORD DEALERSHIP IN COLUMBIA MD AND THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME THE INTERNAL WATER PUMP HAD FAILED THAT DIRECTLY IMPACTED THE CAR PERFORMANCE ISSUES AND THE GRINDING NOISE. TO FIX THE WATER PUMP, HE STATED IT WOULD TAKE 17 LABOR HOURS TO REPAIR IT DUE TO HOW FORD DESIGNED THE WATER PUMP BEHIND THE ENGINE. ALSO, THIS REPAIR IS CAUSING ENGINE PROBLEMS. BOTTOM LINE HERE IS THAT THIS FLAWED DESIGNED IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND FORD SHOULD RECALL THE FORD EDGE TO FIX THIS WATER PUMP PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DIES.

(I DID NOT USE THE CRUISE AGAIN) I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO O'REILLYS FOR THEM TO CHECK THE CODE AND THERE WAS NOT ANYTHING ACTIVE OR INACTIVE. THE ALSO CHECKED MY BATTERY, ALTERNATOR AND STARTER AND FOUND THOSE TO BE IN PERFECT CONDITION. I'VE ONLY OWNED THE CAR 30 DAYS SO I WILL BE CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP.

JUNE 17TH 2017 AND JULY 16TH 2017 MY VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER AND WARNING LIGHT CAME ON WITH A PICTURE OF A WRENCH. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD THAT WILL GET SOMEONE KILLED AND HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED. MUST FIX ASAP

THE ENGINE WILL NOT START WHEN THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE IS HIGH (105+ DEGREES). DURING THE HEAT OF THE DAY, ENGINE WILL NOT START (NO CLICKING, NO SOUNDS, NOTHING). RADIO COMES ON, AIR COMES ON, I AM ABLE TO CHANGE GEARS, ROLL DOWN WINDOWS, ETC. THERE ARE NO ISSUES IN THE MORNING OR EVENING WHEN THE DAY IS COOLER. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DOES COME ON ONLY WHEN I AM HAVING THE ISSUE. ONCE CAR EVENTUALLY STARTS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES OFF.

WHILE ON THE FREEWAY, MY HAD COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE AND I HAD LESS THEN 20 SECONDS TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER HOWEVER EVERYTHING LOCKED UP AND I ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I LET THE CAR SIT FOR 30 SECONDS AND RESTARTED THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO GET LOOKED AT BY 2 DIFFERENT SERVICE CENTERS AND THEY DIDNT FIND A PROBLEM. I DROVE IT AGAIN, AND IT HAPPENED 3 TIMES ON THE FREEWAY FROM SAN DIEGO TO ORANGE COUNTY. I HAD MY CAR TOWED, DID MY OWN RESEARCH AND LEARNED THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH FORD EDGES FOR MY SPECIFIC YEAR. THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT COVERING IT. I AM SELLING THIS CAR BECAUSE I AM FEARFUL FOR MY LIFE AND MY BABY GIRL THAT WAS IN THE CAR WITH ME.

TURNED ENGINE OFF, WAITED FEW MINUTES, STARTED BACK UP NORMALLY. DEALER UNABLE TO PULL ERROR CODE. HOWEVER, RESEARCH AND COMPLAINTS FILED ON-LINE SHOW THIS IS RECURRING PROBLEM WITH FORD ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY FAILURE. THIS IS DEFINATELY A SAFETY ISSUE. AFTER TAKING IT TO A DEALERSHIP WAS TOLD PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED AND NO FIX COULD BE MADE.

THE DOOR SENSORS IN THIS VEHICLE DO NOT SENSE THAT THE DOOR IS CLOSED WHEN IT IS. THIS LEADS TO BEING UNABLE TO LOCK THE DOORS WHILE DRIVING, IT ALSO CAUSES THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TO REMAIN ON WHEN THE CAR IS OFF EVEN AFTER THE DOOR IS CLOSED AND THE CAR IS LOCKED WHICH DRAINS THE BATTERY. OCCASIONALLY, THE DOOR WILL SENSE THAT IT IS CLOSED AFTER SLAMMING IT. THIS HAS LED TO AN ARM INJURY THAT I SUSTAINED WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DO THIS REPEATEDLY FROM THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE AND NOT A ONE-TIME OCCURRENCE.

AFTER LOOKING UP POSSIBLE PROBLEMS, IT WAS FOUND THAT COUNTLESS OTHERS WITH THE SAME VEHICLE HAVE THE SAME STALLING PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING. THIS CREATES A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS RISK FOR DRIVERS ON THE ROAD. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE FORD DEALERSHIP LOOK AT MY VEHICLE, HOWEVER FROM OTHERS WHO HAVE SPOKEN ON THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, THE DEALERSHIP STATES THAT THEY CANNOT "RECREATE THE PROBLEM". ENGINE CONTROL MODULE-PCM. AFTER 3 YEARS OF REPLACING/REPAIRING ITEMS ON MY CAR, THEY NOW SAY THAT THE PCM IS THE CAUSE. I HAVE REPLACED MULTIPLE SENSORS, CATALYTIC CONVERTER, DRIVE SHAFT, TURBO, COOLING SYSTEM, AND THE LIST GOES ON. HAD THE PCM BEEN DIAGNOSED THE FIRST TIME MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND REPLACED THE SENSOR, I COULD OF SAVED A LOT OF TIME. EVERY TIME I WOULD GO IN, THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST WOULD SHOW 02 SENSOR WHICH WAS REPLACED NUMEROUS TIMES, THEN THEY WOULD SAY CATALYTIC CONVERTER, SO ON SO ON GOING DOWN THE LIST. I WOULD GET STRANDED ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THE CAR WOULD COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. NOT ONE PERSON IN THE PAST 3 YEARS SAID THE PCM WAS TO BLAME. AFTER A WEEK OF TRYING TO DIAGNOSIS MY CAR AFTER ONCE AGAIN BEING STRANDED ON THE HIGHWAY, THEY ARE SAYING THE PCM. THE MECHANIC STATES THAT THE COMPUTER MODULE IS ON BACK ORDER WITH FORD. THE FORD REP STATES THAT THEY ARE SELLING THEM FASTER THAN THEY CAN BE MADE. IF THIS PART IS ON BACK ORDER (2 WEEKS) AND CAN'T KEEP THEM IN STOCK, THERE SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE PCM FOR FORDS. EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE READ STATES IT IS VERY HARD TO DIAGNOSIS A PCM BUT THERE NEEDS TO BE A CODE THAT APPEARS WHEN IT IS FAULTY BECAUSE THIS COULD OF BEEN COVERED UNDER WARRANTY 3 YEARS AGO BUT INSTEAD, I HAVE PAID A LOT OF OUT OF POCKET TO GET TO THIS POINT OF REPLACING THE PCM. PCM IN HIGH DEMAND WITH FORD INDICATES A RED FLAG FOR THIS PART AND ISSUE. PLEASE REVIEW.

I CAN SEE THAT THE FIRE IS CONSUMING THE VEHICLE AND CAN OBSERVE FIRE INSIDE THE VEHICLE COMING OUT OF THE WINDOWS AND FIRE THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE THAT GOES FROM THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE DOWN THE SIDE. AND THE FIRE RUNS TO THE GAS TANK.

DUE TO THE SAFETY CONCERNS OF HAVING THE ENGINE STALL AGAIN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OR WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR, TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP STATED NO ERROR CODES WERE STORED, AND RECOMMENDS REPLACING THROTTLE BODY FOR $700+ BASED ON THEIR HISTORY WITH SIMILAR SITUATIONS.

WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOSS POWER TO TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE AND ENDED UP GOING 1 MPH. COULD NOT ACCELERATE AND BARELY MISSED BEING STRUCK BY OTHER VEHICLES. "WRENCH" WARNING INDICATOR CAME ON AND I PULLED MY AUTO OVER TO SIDE OF ROADWAY. TURNED THE IGNITION OFF, WAITED 1 MINUTE AND RESTARTED AND THE AUTO WAS NORMAL AGAIN. DAY LATER PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC SAME EPISODE AGAIN JUST BARLEY AVOIDING A COLLISION AGAIN. DEALERSHIP ADVISES FAULTY ELECTRIC THROTTLE BODY DEFECTIVE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THIS RESULTS IN A FATALITY. I HAD TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS THAT COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A FATALITY. I HAVE TWO MAJOR PROBLEMS AND SAFETY ISSUES WITH THIS CAR. FIRST IS THE POWER BOOSTER, WHICH IS COVERED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. SYMPTOMS OF BOOSTER ISSUE ARE SPONGY BRAKES THAT THEN WENT HARD WITH LITTLE RESISTANCE ACCOMPANIED BY HISSING SOUND COMING FROM BRAKES. THE SECOND ISSUE IS A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY. THREE TIMES IN AS MANY DAYS WHEN FOOD IS ON BRAKE, THE BRAKE PUSHES BACK ESSENTIALLY HAVING LOST POWER BRAKES AND REQUIRING BOTH FEET FIRMLY PRESSED ON BRAKE TO EVEN REMOTELY SLOW CAR DOWN, UNABLE TO COMPLETELY STOP VEHICLE, AT THE SAME TIME I LOSE POWER STEERING AND CANNOT CONTROL DIRECTION OF CAR, THE WARNING LIGHT "LOW OIL PRESSURE" ILLUMINATES ON THE DASH. THIS DOES NOT SEND CAR INTO SO CALLED "LIMP HOME" MODE IT RENDERS THE CAR ESSENTIALLY INOPERABLE. IF I TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON AGAIN IT RETURNS TO NORMAL DRIVING FUNCTION....UNTIL IT HAPPENS AGAIN. I'VE BEEN LUCKY THAT THIS HAPPENED BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND IN STRAIGHT LANE STOP AND GO TRAFFIC ON CITY STREETS. HAD THIS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING ALONG A CURVY MOUNTAIN ROAD, ALONG THE COAST OR ON A LOS ANGELES FREEWAY MOVING 65 MPH..I DOUBT I WOULD HAVE BEEN SO LUCKY. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE THROTTLE ISSUE IN THE EDGE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY GIVEN TO OTHER FORD MODEL CARS OR EVEN MORE THAT THIS ISN'T A SWEEPING SAFETY RECALL. I AM RISKING LIFE AND LIMB OF MYSELF AND MY TWO YOUNG CHILDREN DRIVING THIS CAR. THIS IS MY FIRST FORD AND WILL PROBABLY BE MY LAST. FORD SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.

VEHICLE LOST POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED BUT IT NEVER SHUT DOWN. VEHICLE STALLED BUT THE AIR CONDITIONING, RADIO, WINDOWS ETC CONTINUED TO WORK. VEHICLE'S ENGINE STAYED ON AND CONTINUED TO SPUTTER AND THE "YELLOW WRENCH" ENGINE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. THE VEHICLE WAS IN A STRAIGHT FORWARD MOTION, MOVING LESS THAN 35 MPH, IN USE FOR LESS THAN 5 MINUTES, THE WEATHER WAS HOT AND THE ROADWAY WAS DRY. THE VEHICLE EVENTUALLY STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROADWAY PARTIALLY IN THE INTERSECTION. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, APPARENTLY THERE ARE OTHERS WHO HAVE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE RESULTING IN THE REPLACEMENT OF THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY.

WHILE DRIVING I LOST ALL ACCELERATION. THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING BUT MY CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I WENT FROM 50MPH TO NOTHING WHILE GOING UP AN OVERPASS. THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH MY FORD FUSION AND IT WAS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY. IN BOTH CASES THE ONLY THING THAT KEPT ME FROM CAUSING OR BEING INVOLVED IN VERY BAD ACCIDENTS WAS THE GRACE OF GOD! I JUST CALLED FORD AND THEY HAD NO THROTTLE BODIES IN STOCK BECAUSE FORD HAD PLACED A HOLD ON ORDERING THEM! NOW ISN'T THAT INTERESTING!! I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD PROMISED 2,000 TO BE SHIPPED OUT THIS WEEK. THAT SEEMS OBVIOUS TO ME THAT FORD KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, IN DIFFERENT DRIVING CONDITIONS, AND AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS, THE CAR LOST COMPLETE ENGINE POWER. IT TOTALLY SHUT OFF. THE YELLOW AWD OFF AND WRENCH INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON AND ALL ENGINE POWER IS TOTALLY LOST. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS WHEN IT OCURRS IN TRAFFIC AND AT HIGH SPEED ON A FREEWAY. AFTER TURNING OFF THE ENGINE AND COMPLETELY RESARTING THE CAR, EVERYTHING WORKS FINE AGAIN UNTIL SOME RANDOM MOMENT WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN WITH TOTAL POWER LOSS. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD DEALER THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED AND THEY RAN DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THEY SUGGESTED THAT MAYBE IT WAS SOME BAD GASOLINE. WE REQUESTED THEM TO DRAIN THE TANK COMPLETELY. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, AFTER EXPERIENCING NO PROBLEMS, THE SAME PROBLEMS BEGAN TO OCURR MORE AND MORE FREQUENTLY. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE ON THE INTERNET I BECAME AWARE OF OTHER FORD DRIVERS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING ISSUE AND IT SEEMED TO ME THAT THE COMMON PROBELM WAS THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY. I DECIDED TO GO AHEAD AND PAY TO HAVE THAT COMPLETELY REPLACED. IT'S ONLY BEEN A WEEK SINCE I REPLACED THAT PART, SO FAR, NO PROBLEMS, BUT IT'S TOO EARLY TO SAY FOR SURE IF IT IS RESOLVED. I BELIEVE THAT FORD SHOULD HAVE NOTIFIED DRIVERS OF THIS ISSUE AND RECALLED THE VEHICLES AND REPLACED THE PART FREE OF CHARGE, BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED.

AFTER SHUTTING EVERYTHING DOWN, THE ENGINE WILL FINALLY RESTART AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS AND RUN NORMALLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES, THE LAST TIME WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP 6 TIMES FOR REPAIR. SO FAR, THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED, A SENSOR WAS REPLACED, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS REPLACED AND SOME WIRING WAS REPLACED. THE LAST TIME THE PROBLEM OCCURRED, THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ME AFTER THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I SUBSEQUENTLY RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, IT IS TOTALLY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I THEN CONTACTED THE FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER AND WAS ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER. THE FORD REGIONAL SERVICE MANAGER ASSIGNED TO THE CASE FINALLY TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER THEY COULD DO AND I SHOULD COME AND PICK UP THE VEHICLE.

DRIVING FORD EDGE 2013 APPROX. 40 MPH ON HIGHWAY WHEN THE VEHICLE CAME TO ALMOST A DEAD STOP. IT SEEMED AS IF THE BRAKES BECAME FULLY ENGAGED OR THE TRANSMISSION SEIZED. A TRUCK BEHIND US SWERVED AND BRAKED AND ALMOST CRASHED INTO US. MY 2 CHILDREN AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THE VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY AS IT MOVED ABOUT 2 MPH. I BARELY WAS ABLE TO GET IT OVER TO THE RIGHT, OFF THE HIGHWAY. IT WOULD NOT GO ANY FURTHER. A RED WRENCH ICON LIT ON THE DASH. I TOWED IT TO MIDWAY FORD. SERVICE MANAGER STATED THE THROTTLE BODY PART IS DEFECTIVE AND RECALLED, BUT RESETS ITSELF IF VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF FOR A WHILE, SO IF I DID NOT TURN OFF THE VEHICLE, FORD WOULD FIX IT FOR FREE. SINCE I TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND IT RESET, I HAD TO PAY HIM $900 TO REPLACE IT. SINCE I DID NOT HAVE $900, HE ADVISED ME TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE VERY SLOWLY ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD FROM NOW ON, AS A PRECAUTION SO MY CHILDREN OR I DO NOT GET INJURED OR KILLED THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS. IF THIS IS FORD'S CRITERIA FOR REPLACING THIS LIFE THREATENING DEFECTIVE PART, THAT IT MUST BE IN ACTIVE DEFECT STATUS WHEN ARRIVING AT THE DEALER, THEN NOT ONLY HAS FORD HAS FOUND A WAY TO BEAT PAYING FOR THE 1.6 MILLION VEHICLES THEY AGREED TO RECALL WITH THIS DEFECT, SINCE YOU CAN'T DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT 900 RPM TO THE DEALER, OR TOW IT WHILE RUNNING, BUT FORD IS GETTING RICH OFF THE RECALL (THE PART IS ABOUT $185 AND TAKES 15 MINUTES TO REPLACE), AND 1.6 MILLION PEOPLE MUST PAY FORD $900 TO FIX A RECALLED DEFECTIVE PART.

THE TACK WAS UNDER 900 AND ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DASH A WARNING CAME UP LOOKING LIKE A WRENCH. ONCE I PULLED OVER TRIED TO DO A VEHICLE REPORT AND THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO DO A MAINTENANCE CHECK. SHUT OFF ENGINE AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE; NO PROBLEMS RESTARTING THE VEHICLE AND NO MEMORIES OF WHY THE ENGINE DID WHAT IT DID (CALLED "LIMP HOME STATUS"). THERE IS ALSO NO MEMORY WITHIN THE PCM ABOUT THE VEHICLE GOING INTO THIS MODE OR WHY.THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS IF I WAS ON A HIGH WAY. A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH REVEALS HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS OF THIS HAPPENING; ALL WITH SAME RESOLUTION. THE VEHICLE HAS NO IDEA WHY IT WENT INTO LIMP HOME AND NO MEMORY OF THAT STATUS AFTER RESTART.

ON SEPTEMBER 8, 2015 DRIVING AT A SPEED OF 65 MPH THE WRENCH SYMBOL APPEARED ON THE DASH BOARD, A SECOND LATER, THE VEHICLE DECREASED FROM 65 MPH TO 0 MPH, SITTING ON THE INTERSTATE WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC IN THE MIDDLE LANE FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES WITH VEHICLE STILL RUNNING VERY LOW, I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE AND TURN THE VEHICLE OFF FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE I WAS ABLE TO TAKE IT TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE, WAS ASKED TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE THERE. ON AUGUST 8TH, 2015 AT ABOUT 4:45 PM, I WAS MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN AND MY VEHICLE STOPPED AND LOST ALL POWER. MESSAGE I RECEIVED WAS "NO OIL TO ENGINE". I TRIED TO START MY 2013 EDGE BUT HAD NO LUCK. I CALLED ROAD ASSISTANCE FOR A TOW TRUCK AND THE VEHICLE WENT TO THE MANKATO FORD DEALERSHIP. I GOT THE VEHICLE BACK ON AUGUST 11TH AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE CHECKED OUT AND NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND I DO WISH FORD WOULD DO A RECALL OF THE EDGE AND ESCAPES. THE FIRST INCIDENT I WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT INTO TRAFFIC WHEN IT HAPPENED. THE SECOND INCIDENT I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING LOT. THE THIRD INCIDENT I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE AND THE CAR JUST SHUT DOWN AND THIS FINAL INCIDENT I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH AND IN TRAFFIC, THE CAR JUST SHUT DOWN. IN ALL INSTANCES THE CAR STARTED BACK UP BUT IF THIS HAD HAPPENED IN ANY INSTANCE THAT I WAS GOING FASTER OR CROSSING AN INTERSECTION, I FEAR I WOULD BE KILLED OR INJURED. I HAVE SEEN THAT THERE ARE OTHER OWNERS HAVING THE SAME COMPLAINT AND I JUST FEAR THAT SOMEONE WILL DIE FROM THIS.

CAR RESTARTED WHEN PUT IN NEUTRAL AND I THEN DROVE IT THE REST OF THE DAY. 7/21/15- APPROXIMATELY 110+ MILES SINCE THE PRIOR DAYS PROBLEM, THE CAR RAN FINE UNTIL THE EVENING WHEN I WAS DRIVING 45 MPH AND CLIMBING A GRADE AROUND A CURVE AND THE CAR JERKED AND SHUT OFF SHOWING THE WRENCH ICON AGAIN. THERE WAS NO SHOULDER TO COAST ONTO AND TURNED ON THE HAZARD LIGHTS, AND PRAYED NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME CAUSING A COLLISION. AFTER 3 ATTEMPTS THE CAR RESTARTED IN THE PARK POSITION JUST AS A VAN SWERVED TO MISS ME IN THE NO PASSING ZONE WHERE THE CAR FAILED. IT WAS AFTER HOURS FOR THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THE CAR IS A CERTIFIED PRE OWNED VEHICLE WITH ADDITIONAL WARRANTY. I FILLED OUT THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM AND LEFT THE CAR WITH THEM UNTIL 7/28/15 AND AUTHORIZED ALLOWING A MECHANIC TO DRIVE IT HOME IF NEEDED AS NO DIAGNOSTIC CODE WAS GENERATED. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE AND THE CAR WAS THEN DROVE LESS THAN 40 MILES WHEN IT STOPPED RUNNING AGAIN 7/29/15 WITHOUT WARNING THE THIRD TIME. FORD CORPORATE HAS REFUSED TO MAKE REPAIRS WITHOUT A CODE AND THE DEALERSHIP DID AS WELL, HOWEVER, SINCE HAVING A FRUSTRATING CONVERSATION 7/29/15 WITH FORD, THE DEALERSHIP TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT THEY WILL REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY AS I REQUESTED LAST WEEK AS THIS HAS RESOLVED THE ISSUE FOR OTHER CONSUMERS.. WHILE COMING OFF AN ON RAMP FROM ONE HIGHWAY TO ANOTHER DOING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH MY 2013 FORD EDGE JERKED, A WRENCH POPPED UP ON MY DASH, AND IT LOST POWER. THE ACCELERATOR DID NOT WORK BUT THE CAR WAS STILL IDLING. LUCKILY I WAS IN THE FAR LEFT LANE AND THERE WAS AN EMERGENCY LANE ON THE LEFT SO I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP. I THINK THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. I ALSO TRIED TO STEP ON BOTH THE BRAKE AND GAS WITH ONE FOOT BUT THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON AND COOLANT HIGH TEMPERATURE SAID ON THE DASHBOARD. MY WIFE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT HOME AND I CHECK THE ENGINE COOLANT RESERVOIR AND FOUND IT EMPTY. I WENT AND GOT MY FLASHLIGHT AND SAW COOLANT LEAK UNDER THE ENGINE WHERE THE ENGINE BASE COVER IS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND SPOKE TO MY SALESMAN ANDREW AND HE ADVISED ME TO PURCHASE A COOLANT AT AUTOZONE AND KEEP THE RECEIPT AND BRING THE CAR TO THE DEALER FIRST THING IN THE MORNING SO THEY COULD HAVE IT CHECK. I AM JUST VERY DISAPPOINTED DUE TO THE CAR HAS BARELY BROKEN IN 744 MILE ONLY AND JUST 3 WEEKS OLD AND I AM GETTING THIS KIND OF PROBLEM. I WAS DRIVING ON THE CITY STREETS AND WITHOUT ANY WARNING, THE POWER STEERING KICKED OUT. I DIDN'T REALIZE THIS AND WAS ALREADY COMMITTED TO MAKING A LEFT TURN. I HAD TO USE ALL MY STRENGTH TO MAKE THE TURN AND STAY ON THE ROAD. AFTER CLEARING THE INTERSECTION I NOTICED THE CAR WAS NOT ACCELERATING, INSTEAD IT WAS DECELERATING. THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE MAIN ROAD. I QUICKLY PUT ON MY BLINKERS. THE CAR THEN GAVE A "LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE" ERROR MESSAGE. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, WAITED A MINUTE, AND RESTARTED WITH NO FURTHER ISSUE. I WOULD HAVE HAD A BIG PROBLEM IF THE CAR STALLED OUT IN THE LEFT TURN OR IF I COULDN'T OVERPOWER THE STEERING COMPONENTS AND WENT OFF THE ROAD. *TR

MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING OUR 2 MONTHS OLD CAR THAT TIME. TOGETHER WITH OUR KID, WE WERE THANKFUL IT HAPPENED JUST AFTER WE EXITED THE FREEWAY. AS WE STOPPED ON THE FIRST TRAFFIC LIGHT JUST AFTER THE FREEWAY EXIT, WE SMELLED SOMETHING UNUSUAL BUT PROCEEDED TO THE NEXT TRAFFIC LIGHT AND THERE THE ENGINE STARTED TO RAISE ITS RPM THEN WHEN HE PUMPED ON THE GAS THE CAR WONT GO FORWARD AND STARTED TO LOWER ITS RPM TO ALMOST ZERO AND THEN DIED RIGHT ON THE TRAFFIC LIGHT WITH 1860 MILEAGE. HE RIGHT AWAY SWITCH THE HAZARD LIGHT BUT FORTUNATELY NO ONE IS BEHIND US. HE TURNED THE KEY TO OFF AND SECONDS LATER SWITCH IT ON TO START THE CAR, IT STARTED SMOOTHLY BUT LIVING AN ENGINE CHECK LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD. WE PARKED AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID WE REFUELED IT WITH WRONG GASOLINE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, AFTER TWO MONTHS OF FILLING IT! I DON'T BELIEVED THEIR CONCLUSION. THE 1ST TIME MY ENGINE SHUT OFF WAS AFTER MAKING A RIGHT TURN INTO A NEIGHBORHOOD DRIVING SLOWLY LOOKING FOR AN ADDRESS. THE SECOND TIME WAS WHILE PULLING INTO MY OFFICE PARKING LOT; AGAIN AT A SLOW SPEED AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. BOTH INSTANCES MADE STEERING IMPOSSIBLE. I TOOK MY EDGE BACK TO THE DEALER FOR BOTH OCCURRENCES, HOWEVER THEY CLAIM ONLY ONCE!! I WAS TOLD THE 1ST TIME THAT THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. 2 WEEKS AFTER I BOUGHT MY EDGE I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PARALLEL PARK AND WHEN MY ENGINE FAILURE LIGHT FLASHED AND MY CAR JUST TURNED OFF. I HAVE A PUSH BUTTON START SO I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE AND ATTEMPT TO TURN THE CAR ON AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. SO AGAIN IN APRIL AND AGAIN A WEEK AGO ONCE WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON A NORMAL STREET (45 MPH) AND WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY (75 MPH) MY CAR JUST TURNED OFF AND STATED ENGINE FAILURE LOW OIL. THE 2ND TIME IT HAPPENED MY CAR HAD 4,000 MILES ON IT AND 5,000 MILES THE 3RD TIME. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP MY ISSUES AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM AFTER HAVING MY CAR FOR JUST 24 HOURS. YOUR RIGHT, IT'S AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE SO IT'S NOT JUST GOING TO HAPPEN WHILE YOU TOOK MY CAR AND DROVE IT 100 MILES.
