While I am driving my vehicle Ford Edge when I press the gas pedal the vehicle do not respond property. Is acting like the vehicle has no enough gas and its shake the car a little bit. I took it to the Ford dealer in Asheboro NC, but because is no recall in place the only option for me was to pay for a initial inspection and see if the problem can be found. About the Forward Collision Warning is coming one in a while when we are driving for no reason. I also notified to the dealership that my dash board have a little bubbles for no reason because has always sleep inside the garage. I also reporter at Ford dealer at Sanford years ago, but it's was they did not found any solution and cover to it. I am very frustrate with this situation.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the Pre-Collision control activation notification failed to display for approximately 2 minutes after starting to drive. The Pre-Collision notification flashed a warning sign with a red wrench informing the driver to See Owner’s Manual. While driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision Avoidance system activated unintendedly, which caused the system to take control of the vehicle. While the system was activated, the accelerator and brake pedals showed great resistance while being depressed and the vehicle was difficult to steer. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 89,871.

The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the forward-facing camera stopped functioning as designed, with the messages "Pre-Collision not Available - Sensors Blocked, Please Clear Sensors" displayed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was advised that the forward-facing camera was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The pre-collision Camera Stopped working. I was given a notice on my dashboard and had to repeat cancel 2 warnings that that indicated the front collision camera was no longer working. I brought it to G Stone Ford dealership in Vermont , which confirmed the camera had to be replaced. Because of the seriousness of the defective camera, I did have to have it replaced. I was concerned that the camera broke down much too early, as my mileage was only 20,235 miles. The invoice that shows it was replaced is number #10921. The car has never been in an accident.
Front camera malfunction, not available. I’ve tried to reset by disconnecting the battery for over an hour. Will not reset. Every time I start my vehicle I get the warning. Cleaned the windshield and that has not helped. I have 25,000 miles on my 2020 Ford Edge.
The Forward Collision Warning system became inoperative because of a failed electronic module. The dealership indicated that the self test ipma code u3009-49 test diagnostic called for the ipma replacement and programing. The failure of this component endangers pedestrians, other vehicles and passengers by failing to stop the vehicle when an imminent collision is about to occur. Given the 63,000 kilometres of this vehicle when the module failed, its expected life of 250,000 kilometres, the cost of replacing this component during its life, at more than 20% of the purchase price of the vehicle, is ridiculously high.

The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated that after the dealer overfilled the engine oil during an oil change, there was smoke coming from the rear end of the vehicle while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the engine oil was changed a second time. The contact stated that after the dealer redid the oil change, the "Pre-Collision Assist Not Available" message displayed on the Ford App. Additionally, the vehicle lost motive power while driving. The "Power Train Malfunction" message was displayed, and the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was then taken to Ken Garff Ford Ft. Collins (4809 S College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525); where the battery was replaced; however, the failure persisted. Ken Garff Ford Ft. Collins was made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

Forward collision warning stopped working which in turn caused the cruise control to not work. Then the PSCM (power steering control module) just went out all at once. Was driving and it showed warning on the dash. I drove on and parked. When I went to start back, it started fine but couldn’t move steering wheel. I’m seeing this has been a problem with other owners and the same year model. Ford has done a recall on edge for years around 2020 but not that particular year. Gonna cost $2772.59 to fix at dealership. Always owned ford but very disappointed how this happened with very little warning at all. If it had locked up while I was driving it would have been a major accident.

When backing up in the morning the brakes squeak and the camera goes blank when turning on the car or backing up and collision warning is coming on when no collision. And the car jerks when sitting at light, stop sign etc. According to your records this vehicle has no recalls please check your records and get back to me.
Driving down a private dirt road, at about 8mph the dash went red, alarms went off and almost instantly the car slammed on its own breaks. Nothing and nobody around. It scared me but i continued on. Not even 2 minutes later it did the exact same thing. Red dash, alarm, breaks. All before I could even register in my head what was happening. It was taken by rollback to the shop where we are being told “we can’t recreate the issue” Again, this was down a private lane no one and nothing around. I got out the 2nd time and observed under and around the car and there was NOTHING. If this were to occur on the road it could potentially put mine and my children’s lives in danger as they are almost always with me. I also have teens learning to drive and had this happened to them, it’s untelling what the consequences could have been. I am completely terrified to drive this car again.

When I’m driving all the sudden my braking system will say collision warning and slam the brakes on, the car pump the brakes and stop moving. It just does it at random times out of nowhere. Seems like most times I’m going at slow speed but I’m afraid I’m going to get rear ended. I’ve already taken it to Ford once and the reset code to system telling me Ford knows about this error but has not recalled it yet! This is very scary while driving and dangerous… plus I have children in the car!
Vehicle has never had a trailer attached ever and randomly while driving the vehicle said trailer connected and disabled all safety features while I was driving. Then while driving it would say trailer disconnected and shortly after the trailer connected message would pop buck up and start all over again. This all happened on 1 drive without shutting off the vehicle and happened roughly 10 times throughout my drive. Vehicle currently has 18755 miles on it. The trailer pin connector port has never been opened and I have owned this car since day one.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated while she was depressing the brake pedal to slow the vehicle down in order to park but the brake pedal traveled the floorboard. The vehicle failed to stop and crashed into a wall where it came to a stop. The contact mentioned that the Forward Collision Avoidance/Emergency Automatic Braking failed to detect that the wall was in front and prevent the collision. The contact sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and they stated that no failure was determined. The manufacturer was contacted and advised she will receive a call and to contact the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 17,015.

VEHICLE transmission while in park failed to remain and moved backward on its own. My safety was at risk as a tractor trailer pulled into rest stop and had to brake b4 colliding with the said vehicle, also if anything was behind me it could have been at risk. unknown unknown NO there was NO warning lamps or messages of this problem, however there were indications on the dashboard lights that stated Blind Spot System Fault AND Cross Traffic System Fault at 45478 miles and Prior
On 11-16-2021 I put my 2020 Ford Edge in park, got out, and it rolled away. After I put the Edge in park, I opened my door and was moving a trash can, when the Edge rolled forward pinning me.

RECENTLY, MY 2020 FORD EDGE, WITH 1,800 MILES, DISPLAYED A WARNING THAT THE PRE-COLLISION ASSIST WAS NOT AVAILABLE. AFTER COMPLETING THE POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS INDICATED BY THE OWNER'S MANUAL WITHOUT SUCCESS, I TOOK THE EDGE INTO A FORD DEALERSHIP. THE SERVICE TECH'S ATTEMPT TO REPROGRAM THE UNIT REVEALED THE FRONT CENTER CAMERA WAS OFFLINE. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE BRACKET THAT HELD THE CAMERA AND RADAR COMPONENTS OF THE 2020 EDGE WERE DAMAGED REQUIRING REPLACEMENT. THE FORD TEAM THEORIZED A STONE HIT A 2 MM PLASTIC GRILL TRIM BREAKING IT, THEN THE SAME STONE RICOCHETED AND DAMAGED THE PLASTIC BRACKET HOLDING THE CAMERA AND RADAR COMPONENTS OF THE PRE-COLLISION ASSIST RENDERING IT USELESS. NO SIGN OF ANY IMPACT. TO REPLACE THE BRACKET HOLDING THE PRE-COLLISION HARDWARE COSTS $80. HOWEVER, LABOR WAS $600. NO CHOICE BUT TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY DETERMINED, USING AN UNKNOWN METRIC, THAT THE REPAIRS WERE NOT COVERED BY THE THREE-YEAR BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY. THE FINAL COST TO ME OF THE REPAIRS: $671. DURING THE REPAIR, I LEARNED THAT THE EDGE MODEL YEARS PRIOR TO 2020 HAD A METAL BRACKET TO PROTECT THE PRE-COLLISION CAMERA AND RADAR COMPONENTS. HOWEVER, FOR THE 2020 EDGE MODEL YEAR AND BEYOND, FORD REPLACED THE METAL BRACKET WITH A PLASTIC BRACKET. IN SHORT, THE BRACKET WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DAMAGED IF HIT BY A STONE IF THE METAL BRACKET HAD NOT BEEN REPLACED BY FORD WITH A PLASTIC BRACKET. I BELIEVE THAT THIS PLASTIC BRACKET IS NOT ONLY A THREAT TO ME AND MY PASSENGERS SAFETY, THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE PRE-COLLISION ASSIST, BUT ALSO AN OUTRAGEOUS EXPENSE FOR FORD CUSTOMERS WHO MAY NOT AFFORD TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. THUS, EXPOSING CUSTOMERS TO UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE METAL BRACKET SHOULD REPLACE THE PLASTIC BRACKET. INCLUDED IS A PICTURE OF THE FRONT GRILL AREA CRACKED BY A STONE.
